Griffen
What happens when the only person you ever trusted betrays you?
Hope Daniels was my friend. My confident.
Right up until the day she stabbed me in the back and cost me everything.
My family. My fortune. My legacy.
Now my father’s been murdered and his will might be the death of me.
It wasn’t enough to banish me fifteen years ago. Even dead, he cant resist twisting the knife.
He’ll … cant resist twisting the knife.
He’ll give me back everything I lost, everything he stole… if I marry Hope.
To make matters worse, the fate of the town rests in my hands.
My siblings hate me, that family estate is falling apart, and my father’s murderer is still out there.
My only ally is Hope, the one person I know I can’t trust.
Except this Hope is different from the girl I knew.
For one thing, she’s not a girl any more. She’s a woman.
I want to hate her. I absolutely don’t want to want her. But I do.
Stolen Heart is a standalone romance with a happy ending. It’s first in The Hearts of Sawyers Bend series, featuring the Sawyer family of Sawyers Bend.

He walked away from it all. No hope, no car, his family turned their backs literally. His brother took his finance with his fathers’ blessing. Why would anyone want to come back to that hell hole? This is a great book, it explores Griffen and his dysfunctional family. This book has lots of action, murder, and well mayhem plus there are some beautiful women in the mix. Ivy has another hit on her hands. I loved it and cannot wait for the next in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
“Stolen Heart” meshes a thunderstorm of emotions with fantastic character interaction, soul-stirring suspense, spine-chilling action, life-threatening issues, mystery, humor, fiery, passionate romance, fun times, and a heart-melting happy forever. A page-turner read that had me craving more at the end.
Griffen’s dad disowned him fifteen years ago. Devastated at age twenty-two from the loss of family and legacy, he enlisted in the Army, became a Ranger and then got lucky when he entered Sinclair Security. Hope Daniels was a friend to Griffen until she told his secret. Her betrayal stung like the bite of a scorpion. The death of his father comes with life-altering changes for Griffen and Hope. Their journey to their happy forever is quite a bumpy ride!
Memorable read with credible engaging characters. Back stories give the reader insight into the characters personas. Hope and Griffen are a perfect match and their devotion for each shines in this story. Relishing this read I reviewed a pre-release copy via Booksprout.
As always Ivy Layne doesn’t disappoint. This new series is going to be another winner.
Griffen has returned home after his father has been murdered. To keep the family’s assets within the immediate family he must marry Hope. There is a back story between the two of the them so it adds to the twist and turns.
I can’t wait to read the other stories featuring the other Sawyer siblings that will be part of the series!!
Griffen and Hope’s story was a love story you would never forget. I was drawn in from the first few sentences and was pleasantly please with the entire book. I always enjoy a great “come back” story and this was it for Griffen. Griffen was successful without his family’s fortune but now he has the chance to complete was he was longing for all these years. I was gonna overjoyed for Hope as well. She finally came out of her protective shell and began a beautiful woman with a strong, powerful woman. I can’t wait to read the upcoming books in the series!!!!
An amazing beginning to this new series.
Griffen and Hope reunite upon the death of his father who from his grave still found ways to be a jerk to his kids. Hope and Griffen are forced to marry to save the town, the family legacy and fortune. As soon as they are married the attempts to kill Griffen begin and with it the suspense as to who and why. Is it the same person who killed his father? why are they after him? Meanwhile their feelings for each other grow along with the fear that the other does not feel the same way.
I love seeing Cooper, Alice, Knox, and Evers
So I first started reading Ivy’s books with The Wedding Rescue and I loved it. Then I started the Winters Saga and I fell in love with the family. Ivy create a whole world of wonderful characters. I love reading her books. When she finished off the Winters last year I almost cried but I knew we were going to have a new series and Griffin, who we’d already been introduced to would start the series. I think this is the best yet. I couldn’t put it down. Griffen has been estranged from his family for 15 years and we finally find out who, what and why. Griffen’s father is a horrible man, hated by all. Griffin made a life for himself, in spite of his father and in his own. Now, he’s back to Sawyer’s Bend taking over after his father’s death. This story has it all, romance, suspense, action. I am so excited Ivy has created another world for us to love and enjoy and I can’t wait for the next book. This is a must read. You won’t be able to put it down. I received an arc copy of this book from the author and purchased a copy as well.
A fantastic start to this new series!!
Griffen and Hope had once been friends but a stunning revelation brought Griffen’s world crashing down. Years later he is forced home and reunites with Hope.
I loved this story!! Long time readers of Ivy Layne know Griffen and I was SO excited to get his story and finally see him get his HEA. New readers have nothing to worry about…this is definitely a stand alone. I can’t wait to read the about the rest of the Sawyers. Five stars!!
Absolutely love reading your books. Each one is it’s own. So many books in this series and they are all different. Couldn’t wait for Griffins book and it did not disappoint. Alpha male reunites with innocence. Love how protective nature didn’t overshadow her naivety. Enjoy reading about past characters. Always love the Sinclairs.

This new spin-off series is off to a great start. I love this story! If you enjoyed the Sinclairs’ series you will definitely want to give the Sawyers a try.
Suspense, betrayal, angst, love, hate, compassion, desperation, suspicion, danger, mystery, and romance will draw you into this amazing story. The complexity of the characters, the well-written plot, and the glimpses of what is to come in the series will definitely keep you invested in this book and looking forward to the rest. As with Layne’s Sinclair siblings, there will be a continuing story arc with the Sawyer’s that begins with Griffin and Hope’s journey to happiness.
All the Sawyer children are forced home again after the murder of their father and Griffin, being the estranged son, receives the biggest shock of all at the reading of the will. Demands, stipulations, threats, and a lot of emotional turmoil swirl around him and his siblings when they are forced to comply or lose everything. They all have secrets and carry resentment towards Griffin for their father’s final words and his new role in their lives.
Trust is not something easily shared yet Griffin has no choice, under the circumstances, to put his trust in someone that had a hand in ruining his life yet has become his only ally. Hope has changed from the young, careless girl he once knew and she accepts her responsibility for past mistakes and steps up to stand by his side. Trying to present a united front, more complications arise as dangerous incidents occur that threaten not only the conditions of the will but their very lives.
There is plenty to enjoy in this gripping read and even though Griffin and Hope find their happy ever after, there are still many threads woven into this first book needing answers and there is still someone out there determined to destroy the Sawyer name, any way they can.
*I received an arc of this book from Brooksprout, via the author, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I have also purchased this book to add to my collection and I am excited for the rest of the stories in this series.
I was so glad to finally get inside the head of Griffin, one of Sinclair Security’s most mysterious employees (the Untangled series) in terms of how little we knew of him. I could tell he was a good guy, but we discover in this book that his aloof personality hid a heart of gold. His first encounter with Hope gave no clue at all of what lied underneath. She was such a sweetheart and a radiant light in the whole story. While my heart alternately broke for them and sung for them, the story captivated me from the first chapter up until the epilogue, knowing full well I’ll be waiting with bated breath for all the other books to follow. I’m jumping on this train with no intention of getting off until the end of the tracks!

I have been waiting for this book!!!! Simply put… Ivy’s writing is intoxicating. I have been waiting a long time for Griffen’s story, and I must admit I savored it. Discovering the spark between Hope and Griffen made me feel like I was going through it myself. I felt like I was living in their shoes. This isn’t simply a “romance” novel. This truly made you feel like you were apart of the life experience. You felt the loss of Griffen’s father and his overpowering presence in Griffen’s life. You felt the closeness of the friends surrounding Griffen, Hope’s feelings surrounding her parents abandoning her, just so much. Ivy, you outdid yourself! Another amazing book!
I loved this story! It has suspense, angst, betrayal, suspicions, romance and so much more. Griffen has been estranged from his family for 15 years because of his heartless father. I think Griffen’s father is hated by everyone in town, even his children. I was glad Griffen had made something of himself without the money from his father. As his father had owned about the whole town of Sawyer Bend. Now that someone has killed his father, Griffen has to go back for the reading of the will. This was just the beginning of so many surprises, heartache, and even happiness. I think Hope was the best part of what came out of the will. I loved Hope and how sweet and caring she was to everyone. She would do anything for anyone. I felt bad for all the situations she was put in that was not always good. I also enjoyed catching up with some of the guys from Sinclair Security from past books. Sometimes people who aren’t related are the closest family we can have. I was on the edge of my seat at times wanting to find out what was going to happen next. I can’t wait for the next book that takes place in Sawyer’s Bend. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Griffen Sawyer’s past has been a mystery – until now.
After being away from his home town of Sawyer’s Bend for fifteen years he returns for the reading of his father’s will.
Hope Daniels has been given the task of bringing Griffen back to face what caused him to leave, which she feels responsible for.
So many layers of deceit, misconceptions and dust to work through not to leave out the growing attraction between the two people tasked with holding everything together.
Can Hope and Griffen keep true to the stipulations of the will while trying not to perish at the hands of an unknown assailant?
Fantastic read that keeps you on the edge of your seat!

I have enjoyed every book I have read by Ivy Layne and Stolen Heart was no exception. I highly recommend you read this book. Hope and Griffen are very well developed characters.
Yes! I love the way they author’s series intertwined with others. It’s makes in feel like the story never ends.
An always the author does not disappoint she veers off course from the Sinclairs’ to their friend and employee Sawyer. The book details a new family we will get to know over the series and although this one didn’t have the best closing.(no wedding, engagement … you’ll soon understand why).. I know by the awesomeness of the first chapter of Sweet Heart, Royal’s story that I won’t be disappointed.

Years ago as a teenager in love, Hope betrayed Griffen’s confidence and he have always blamed her for being thrown out of his home and forced to separate from his family. Now his father has decided that Griffen needs to pay for the privilege of being free from the family (thrown out with just the clothes on his back) and writes his will in such a way that Griffen has no choice but to accept all the terms of the will regardless of his feelings. The only good thing is that his father is dead, as he was truly a horrible manipulative person.
As in all Ivy’s books this story contains some surprises and twists that you never see coming. This book is the start of another plot which will continue in the next book with Griffen’s brother, however it does have a HEA for Griffen . I can’t wait for the next book to get some more clues as to who is behind the attempted destruction of the family.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Griffin Sawyer come back to Sawyer bend for his father’s funeral after 15 years of being exciled to find that he is to marry hope Daniels ,then to figure out who killed is dad and who is after them all. 10 stars for fantastic writing.
Loved it! I’ve Been waiting for Griffins book and I was not disappointed! I was very very sad to see him leave the Sinclair’s though. They were his family. Although it’s going to be interesting to see how his own real family comes back together. The way Griffin and Hope were forced together ends up being the best thing to happen to both of them. Poor Hope she’s has such an amazing heart she definitely deserved the best and her life hasn’t been the best. Griffin needed her he may not of know it but since he’d been shot he needed someone to take care of him and a new path. Protecting Hope and Sayer Bend is his new calling. I am anxious to see how the rest of the family settles in and to see how this Bryce thing works out. Is her really as bad as they make him out to be? Will Griffin be able to control him while he’s under his house? I can not wait for the next book I’m hoping it comes out sooner rather than later! Also who else thinks Finn and Savannah are going to be a thing?!?
As I think about my previous reading encounters with Griffen I must say that I never imagined him in a romantic way but the author has been really skilled on creating the perfect match for him. Hope is kind, gentle but also very stubborn and tough. The story is great and I bet that this series will have a smashing success. The storyline has it all that is suspense, mystery and a lot of romance. Griffe ‘s character hasn’t changed except that this time we have discovered a new side of him, a passionate and daring man who is willing to do anything for his love and family. A great read which I highly recommend.
This is Stolen Heart written by Ivy Layne. We have met Griffen Sawyer before but now it’s time for the prodigal son to return home. Hope Daniels was the reason that Griffen was forced out years ago but now he was back and they were forced to be together. Watch as the sexy security specialist dives head first and full force back into the life he ran from. He and Hope are together out of duty but that doesn’t seem to stop them from enjoying their time together. I really loved the story of Griffen and Hope! You will too!
