“Fascinating. Mind-blowing plot twists. I was up all night reading, unable to set the book down” Michelle Martin
“I learned so much about gypsies and their traditions. Best part was the action scenes and the Feds. The part when the drug cartel shows up was so well written I could smell the smoking guns.” Nick LeBlanc

With a tragic accident that involves her parents, seventeen-year-old Terza Blackstone is catapulted rapidly from the steady routine of family life into the unknown. Having been questioned at the police station, she is taken home by her hard-nosed attorney, Vanessa Duffy, who wants to petition for guardianship. Judging by the aggressive activity of reporters at the scene, there is something very sinister about this case.
There is some interesting back story involving secret pasts and I wanted to know more. Someone wants Terza out of the way and the action and tension begins to climb. There are lots of suspects and few clues, a complex story that has more twists and turns than a pretzel.
Once in a while a character like Terza comes along that gets under your skin and refuses to let go. I liked her at the outset; smart, stubborn and quirky, not to mention a fan of Lindsey Stirling. I think she and I would get along. As Vanessa takes Terza back to childhood, memories begin to surface of an unsettled background where she has never spent more than one year in any school.
As the plot moves forward, Terza comes face-to-face with the stark realization that nothing in her past life adds up. Even with new-found friends to help her, she is never far from the agencies of law enforcement or from those who might want to harm her. When the truth unfolds, the tragic thing about this book is the choices Terza must make. Her tale at the end of the book brings a fresh perspective on abandonment and how there is only one person who can set her free.
Romance meets suspense in the most beguiling way; exotic, complex and compelling. Again author Elizabeth Horton-Newton has struck a rich vein of narrative with her creative writer’s soul. She introduces us to Terza’s esoteric world of the modern gypsy. A shape-shifting culture of graft, con, fierce family loyalty and a determined spirit of willful independence. The latter is the most enduring trait of the young lass we come to know as Terza. Rootless due to circumstances beyond her control, and propelled into a dark mystery not of her making, Terza’s survival instincts kick in. Having major trust issues regarding authority figures caused by the growing body count the abandoned and pursued Terza has to learn to grow up real fast, and in doing so, finally place her trust in strangers. In doing so she in turn places these Good Samaritans in dire jeopardy. As such the cycle of jeopardy in this first person drama ratchets up tighter and tighter…so much so I was compelled to read Stolen Gypsy in a single sitting. I was that eager to discover what eventually happens to Terza Blackstone and those intriguing characters that touched her life at the moment she was in the greatest danger. A terrific read!
This is such a good book to get buried in. A rich selection of characters, and they all had a stoty to tell.
Our main character is Terza and she told her own story and how she felt about losing her parents in a car crash, then discovering they were criminals and finally, they weren’t even her biological parents after all.
A tale full of twists with absorbing and clever writing. The authir delves into the world of the gypsy and their customs and trafitions, as well as Witness Protection and FBI assisting the local police with a case that just keeps getting bigger. And right in the centre is Terza.
A smashing read!
Great read that hooked me from the start. A wonderful mix of mystery, romance and mayhem. The perfect mix for me.
