A scifi alien romance with fated mates on an aphrodisiac planet. I’m trapped on a spaceship with a sex god. I’ve dreamt of him every night since I landed on this forsaken sex planet. Every breath I take here is an aphrodisiac to my blood. I am not fully human, I am part alien, and the planet has awakened my body’s instinct to find a mate. The next person I have sex with I will form an … person I have sex with I will form an attachment for life, which is impossible for him–the Sex God. Mating a polyamorous alien would ruin me. I can never have him, no matter how much I burn for him.
But I need his help. My best friend was taken prisoner by our enemies, and he’s the only person with a ship fast enough to save her. And all those dreams I’ve been having about him, it turns out they aren’t just dreams. They’re real. He can dream walk, so if I can’t have him while I’m awake, at least I can have him in my dreams–as if that will ever be enough.

This was one very hot and steamy read.
Getting stuck on an alien planet that forces you to engage in sexy times otherwise you go insane is a very interesting concept. Jenie is a warrior who has a huge secret and she is drawn to an alien who can come into her dreams and give her the best night of her life.
Jenie is a fierce warrior who is trained in battle and one of the leaders of the rebellion. Nothing is going to stop her, not even an alien that calls to her. A secret that she hasn’t shares with anyone is preventing her from working the desire toxin out of her system.
Koviye is intrigued by the humans and especially Jenie. He can’t understand her reluctance to be with him though even for her mental health. However he is one determined man/alien.
Sexy alien romances can be hit or miss for me but when I saw this cover on NetGalley I knew I wanted to read it. Throwing caution to the wind, I settled down to sink into what I was sure would be a smutty extravaganza. Lovett certainly didn’t disappoint on the steam factor but I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent world building. I felt like I had a solid understanding of the world/universe even with not reading the first two books. I wish there had been a bit more movement on the rebellion front but when I see the tag for erotica, I know that plot will take the backseat most times. Even without the plot movement, I was definitely there for Koviye.
I try to point out highlights in each of my reviews. This one is tough as I thoroughly enjoyed this book but since I have to pick… the gorgeous descriptions really made this book work. From the environment to the sexy intimate moments, Lovett employs vivid imagery that captured my imagination and made reading Stolen Desire a true pleasure. I will definitely be watching for more of Lovett’s work in the future.
Thank you to the publisher (Entangled!) and NetGalley for sending an eARC. All opinions are my own.
By reading this book all I thought was this is a great script+ for some porn. I don’t know it had an interesting plot but all it was was sex with an alien. So yeah I was satisfied that it was short because if there would be more it would be too much. So for all the lovers of SF erotica, this one is for you.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
This is my second book by this author and I’m glad to return to this sexy planet. I Love this whole premise. It promised super sexy times and it delivered. Koviye is sooo hot and I know I couldn’t resist him. I love that Jenie is only half human and half Ulreya. I knew this was going to be very interesting. I don’t think there are too many books with a human and alien mix. I enjoyed it a lot. These two get to travel in a ship alone and sparks fly! I am glad I read it and I recommend it.
A fun wonky read! Delightfully filled with fun nerdy alien life and steamy sex scenes. The characters are smart and funny. You will have fun trying to keep up as they chase bad guys while resisting the desire to rip each other’s clothes off.
This is book 3 in the Planet of Desire series. It can absolutely be read as a stand alone. After reading the blurb for this one, I was completely intrigued and couldn’t wait to read it. But unfortunately for me, it fell flat. The writing itself is great. I just had an extremely hard time getting into the story. Something just didn’t mesh for me between the main characters. I just had a really hard time finding any sort of connection to them. Like I said, the writing itself is good, I just couldn’t connect with the story and characters. I had a hard time finishing it. But that’s not to say that other’s wouldn’t thoroughly enjoy it. Just not for me unfortunately.
