The blurb doesn’t do the story justice. This was an epic mix of drama, lies, secrets, deception, suspense, love, hope, betrayal, hurt & trust. This was an exhilarating & emotional adventure Sci-fi at its finest
#This was my 1st book by Alison & I just fell in love with her writing
Dakar is a martian warlord who was abused as a kid by his Earther elite family for being a halfbreed. He has came back to claim his father’s title, to help the servants who are more family to him, who stood for him years ago.
Aurora is a desperate criminal, stealing to attain freedom from her stepfather’s grasp. To run away from the pain.
Everyone Called Dakar a savage but the real savage, a monster & madman was her Stepfather..
These two crossed paths years ago in childhood during a ball. A different time. But his martian instincts knew she was his.
It was fitting that they meet again in a ball. While she was stealing nonetheless XD. He acted kinda assholish but it was all due to his mating heat & their ever growing soul binds..
‘It was kind of sweet. The big bad warlord knew a million different ways to kill & fuck but was stymied by one small apology.’
She made him the fall guy, but then again she didn’t know him that well then.
Ruthless yet gentle, savage but controlled, so genuine with a heart of gold.
‘The longing, for not just a physical connection, but an emotional one, was so foolish & yet so hard to resist.’
But they had to resist, they both had higher reasons.
Lives to protect.
Though through ballrooms, art museum & theater halls, they knew resisting was futile.
Their love blossoming
It was so sad that the world was their enemy, so many schemes against them..
& while all he gave her was honesty, she fed him lies. 1st to save herself & now to protect him.
Guilt ate at her, but their investigation showed that someone was framing him as the thief & murderer. Even as their love grew, she knew their time was up.
She’ll confess then Run, forgo her plans, saving him took priority.
I admired her strength..
But I so knew that her lies will be a problem.. they came back for a vengeance.
His heart was ashen by her betrayal. but her trust in him, at his lowest, made him realize & find the truth.
Dakar has finally found love. He’ll protect what’s his. She’s His & he’s hers. Completely. Utterly.
A madman won’t destroy something so beautiful..Dakar won’t let him.
P.s. I’m in a daze after completing this story. Loved it! & The epilogue was fantastic
His friend-Grayson was a wonderful character
This book is about a warlord Dakar who is half Martian and has come back to claim what he left behind, his title and mate.
Aurora is under the guardianship of her cruel stepfather and continually puts her life at risk when she steals to hopefully buy her way off this godforsaken planet. There is one thing standing in her way, Dakar.
Talk about chemistry, sexiness, and intrigue galore, this book had it all. It is a must read for those who love a page turner with a dominant Alpha!
Another fantastic book by Alison Aimes!
DaKar and Aurora have a tough road ahead, but the destination will be totally worth it!

The year is 9094, Earth has fallen, and a small portion is now under a dome and run by the Earther Corporation. A woman’s only worth is as a breeder or as property to further their guardian’s rank. There is a caste system of Elithe’s and workers, where the elithe control the wealth, living situations, and policy within the dome and the non-elithe are treated terribly.
DaKar, a half-human/half-Martian has been an outcast since his birth. Raised by a father that saw him as an abomination, he did not experience love…only hatred and abuse. Aurora, a beautiful spit fire, and an elithe. She is the stepdaughter to a man set on becoming the High Chancellor, Executive Whetherton, but she wants to escape…even if she has to steal to fund her escape.
DaKar left Earth years ago rather than continue to be abused by his father’s hand. But his father is dead now and as the eldest son he is the Executive to the Starlight estate. However, he will have his evil stepmother and half-brother to fight for his rightful inheritance and position. It will be a fight fraught with lies, betrayals, and secrets.
Dakar have a brief encounter when they are young, but when they meet again years later at a ball, Aurora doesn’t understand her draw to the half-Martian outcast, but DaKar does…he knows they are mates and they both can feel the soul bond, but he is determined to fight the bond.
These two have witty banter, secrets, lies, and so many obstacles to overcome to get to a HEA. They both fight their attraction for varied reasons and those reasons and secrets may just be their downfall. I enjoyed Stolen and appreciated the different take on an alien romance. Stolen is suspenseful, steamy (and a slowburn IMO it’s hard to explain), and I didn’t see the plot twist until I was right on top of it. I enjoyed the book and will be reading more from Ms. Aimes.
“Command me, Warlord. See how well I can obey.”
I can obey too, DaKar! I can so freaking obey!!
The year is 9094 and what is left of Earth is unrecognizable. After many wars, all that’s left of what we call home is protected by a dome. The people of Earth are divided – the Élithe and the others. DaKar was the son of a powerful member of the council that rules over everyone. He was also half-Martian, seen and treated as an Outer World freak. He was abused and tormented for his half blood, surrounded by monsters who believed themselves somehow above him. Years later, after returning to his true home and becoming the man he was always meant to be, he arrives back on Earth to take his inheritance and finally shake things up in the oppressive culture that was propagated by the wealthy.
A chance ‘meeting’ when he was just a boy created a connection between DaKar and Aurora. She was Élithe and supposed to be untouchable. But DaKar isn’t one for rules and Aurora can’t deny what is quickly growing between them. However, she has a secret she cannot tell. When DaKar’s honor is called into question, the one person he would never suspect is also the person responsible for his predicament. However, there is more at work here and I loved all of the moving parts the author introduced.
While I’m not the biggest fan of how this story reached its climax or its ending, I enjoyed the journey to get there. It was so much fun to watch all of the minor characters go about their business, gossiping, griping, and generally being pains in the behind. I was also entertained by everything about DaKar and his experiences, both as a boy and as a man. I loved the way his mind worked and I would have been happy to spend more time with him. Aurora wasn’t very impressive. I get that her being a liar and a thief were meant to feature heavily in the plot, but she didn’t do herself any favors.
After being introduced to this author’s work with Ruthless King, I’m making it my mission to read all of her books!
Dakar and Aurora’s paths crossed when they were young and Dakar knew then she is his. Years later in adulthood, he is back from Mars where he grew up with elders to claim his position in his family. Aurora has a mission to get away from her evil stepfather and resigns to stealing jewels to get off the planet. This story is well detailed and the characters are interesting and so hot together.

This was my first read by Alison Aimes and OMG! Where has she been all my life?! I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to read more from her!
This Sci-Fi alien romance story was well-written, so captivating, full of emotion, and so very unputdownable.
A talented jewel thief, a murderer, and lies galore made this a highly entertaining read and made me never want to stop reading. When I wasn’t reading this, I was constantly thinking about it.
A sexy half Martian Warlord named DaKar, a fierce heroine named Aurora, who was determined to do what it takes to get away from her abusive and evil stepfather. When these two were together, the air around them was super charged, their interactions scorching hot.
I loved that even at 10 years old, DaKar knew 7-year old Aurora was his. I could feel that pull between them, the strength of their bonds.
The connection was already there.
I fell hard for DaKar.
My heart ached for him. For everything he’d been through, and for the things he’s still going through. Never feeling wanted, never feeling like he’s capable of being loved. It was impossible to not fall in love with him. Even with his bossiness and arrogance and growly commands.
But what I loved most, was his strength, perseverance, his ability to find control from the beast he could be, and be GOOD and honest and caring.
And can we talk about his filthy, dirty talkin’ mouth?
YES.
PLEASE.
This beautiful half human, half Martian made my heart flutter and certain body parts tingle with just a sentence, a simple command.
Well yes, DaKar… I will obey you.
SUPER protective.
Beautifully fierce.
Deliciously growly.
He is the perfect alien book boyfriend.
Intense and suspenseful, heart-wrenching yet heart-warming, passionate and sizzling, this story had it all.
If you’re a sci-fi romance fan, I highly recommend this one.
He is half martian and had a really bad childhood. She is a jewel thief and knows which event to attend to steal from. She had the same horrible childhood and still does. She is doing whatever she can to get away from it. They meet and have an extreme attraction to each other. It has excitement, danger, intrigue, drama, emotional situations and is hot and steamy and much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This amazingly well-written story, A SciFi Alien Alpha Romance is an intriguing story as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists & turns, adventure, action, variety of races, humans, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It’s a fast-paced and continuation from the previous book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I will be on the lookout for books by this author.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

“You are a treasure and I will guard you as such.” ~ DaKar
—>>> Time is slipping out of Aurora’s fingers faster than she can steal jewels, the only way she can get out from the very real threat her stepfather poses for her. Running into a man who both elicits unwanted emotional needs but at the same time offers a perfect cover for her criminal activities is just the complication she does not need. Interrupted in the middle of a garden tryst, DaKar scents the familiar little Earther female who had riveted his senses long ago. Now that he knows who she is, he will move planets for her, but only when she is willing to admit she was always meant for him. A lot is built into this sci-fi romance, to include slow-building steaminess, mysterious murders, thievery, and depraved intent.
I really enjoyed this book. The story was well written and held my attention easily. I liked Dakar and Aurora. They had great chemistry and an intense pull of attraction. Their connection was strong and I liked how despite their obvious differences they shared some startling similarities. A delightful combo of emotion, drama, secrets, lies, tension, action and steam make this a truly excellent read. This is my independent, impartial review.
OMG! I love this story!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review
I am a huge fan of Alison Aimes. I totally devoured her SciFi series Condemned. This is a totally new story set far into the future. It is a marvelous love story and has left me with a yearning for more from this world she has created.
Dakar is a half breed Martian Warlord. He’s dangerous and dominate and irresistible. Aurora Blake is young, Elite, and very beautiful. She’s leading a very dangerous double life. Together they bring us a sexy, smart romance that will leave you breathless. A dystopian world filled with intrigue, murder, desperation, and white-hot passion and you have Stolen.
Dakar is a complicated man. Half earth, half of Mars. His childhood was brutal and sad and broke my heart. But he took that and became a brave man. A man of honor. A protector. Now he is fighting for his birthright to use to put past wrongs to right. He never counted on one woman wrapping him up with golden soul chains that will change his and her life.
Aurora holds secrets and plans and desperation. She too has been abused and neglected. But now she is desperate to escape the hold of her vicious stepfather before he breaks her. She wants to run away, far away from earth and the monster that will consume her. But she never intends to pull Dakar into her life. But she has no power to resist the mating.
I found this world to be totally fascinating and it left me so curious to know more.
I relished and savored every bit of this story! The hero, Dakar is a delicious alpha male. And Aurora is delightfully full of surprising actions. She is half girl, half woman, innocent yet wise beyond her years and very resourceful.
The story captivated me and bound me to turn the page to see what happened next. I was totally enthralled in this world and captivated by their love story. I didn’t want their story to end but it was very satisfying. Like all fairy tales…it ended with a very happy ever after.

This is a sci-fi futuristic mates romance that is set on earth in the year 9079.
It was an easy read and I’m a big fan of this authors work as she consistently delivers.
This was quite a suspenseful read the heroine lady Aurora is operating as a jewel thief absconding with trinkets to help finance her escape from her step-father’s clutches.
It’s during one such excursion that Aurora encounters and captures the attention of Warlord DaKar Volkan.
DaKar is back on earth to claim his birthright he’s of mixed heritage carrying Martian blood from his mother so the powers that be are dragging their feet and then there’s his younger half-brother also causing waves.
DaKar despises everything Elithe which is the ruling class on earth he also has no plans to stick around as his memory’s and experiences here are far from good ones, he just wants to claim his birthright and assist his old retainers and then he’s done he just didn’t plan on a mate being part of the deal.
So initially he does try to separate himself from the mating heat. He still wants Aurora but on his terms believing he can resist fates call.
Aurora feels a pull towards him also but because of her current situation knows it can’t be.
When her path crosses DaKar’s she’s determined to stay far away from him plus she initially finds the exotic male annoying and arrogant.
I wasn’t really a fan of how these two initially meet whilst he’s occupied elsewhere it is a pet hate of mine.
I then wasn’t sold on his reaction but I put that aside and dealt because the rest of the story I found really enjoyable. Plus it definitely helped that he only wanted Aurora afterwards.
This was suspenseful and intriguing it felt slightly like a futuristic historical romance one with plenty of intrigue and suspense.
Aurora could definitely have avoided a lot of the angst if she’d just been truthful from the start but DaKar also isn’t perfect and does seem to be the sort that acts on his emotions first.
Aurora also does have the habit of plunging herself headlong into danger without thinking it through first.
I did like them both and neither of them was perfect but they did feel authentic and they also had a lot of chemistry together.
There’s a lot of intrigue here and as well as the robberies there’s also a murderer on the loose.
This easily managed to keep my attention and It was a good read.

Not what I expected, way better.
This is the first story that I have read from Alison Aimes and it will NOT be the last!! “Stolen is well written, full of suspense, intrigue, romance, and HOT, Alien Alphas!
Aurora Blake has lived the life of the privileged under the supervision of her step-father. It appears she has it all and her step father is respected in the Community. In truth, he is a vicious man whose only concern is gaining power and money. And, if that means having Aurora marry an acceptable man with power and influence to add to his wealth, then so be it. Aurora isn’t happy with her step father’s choices. She realizes that to avoid his authority, she needs to leave the planet. To accomplish this feat, she begins to steal jewelry so she can pawn them and save money to get off the planet. Will Aurora find her freedom?
DaKar Volkan has not had a happy childhood. He is a disgraced firstborn because he’s considered a hybrid – half Martian, half human and was treated with brutality and hatred. DaKar was initially raised by his father and step- mother on Earth. Eventually, he went to his Uncles on Mars, where he was taught to be a Warlord, and to live with honor. DaKar returns to Earth, after the death of his father to claim his rightful place. Of course, his younger, human brother wants it all and believes he should inherit everything. DaKar is forced to fight for what is rightfully his. Will Dakar succeed?
In addition, he has become a suspect in the recent missing jewels. Could Aurora have something to do with that? Uh,uh, my lips are sealed. LOL
I will tell you that when they meet, the electricity between them, sends the sparks flying. Dakar and Aurora try to fight the bonds bringing them together. But it’s not possible.
Alison Aimes is a gifted writer – her story is well developed, her characters have depth, we care and worry about them and she deftly questions life and our place in our Community while discovering who we are. This story is streamy, mysterious, and a beautiful love story. We also meet DaKar’s closest friend, Grayson, who is yummy and intriguing and I hope to hear his story in a future book. Thank you, Alison Aimes!
Dakar is a half-breed martian warlord. He has the golden skin, horns and fangs and the horrible childhood from predigest of his mixed heritage. Aurora is the step daughter of a powerful head of a corporation. She has been treated just as badly by that step father and doing whatever it takes to escape him. She is a jewel thief getting her loot at functions that she attends. Dakar and Aurora have a powerful pull towards one another. This story has drama, danger, betrayal, love and major steam. Will Dakar finally win Aurora? Will he be able to tame her? I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The writing and editing of this story was clean, with few typos that I found in the ARC version of this manuscript. The world building was competent, with the Recency type culture of the Earth life under the dome coming to life. The characterization was all right, though the heroine made some really weird choices which meant I did not find her to be a sympathetic character. She was in danger, and the hero would have helped her at any time if she had just asked for help. There was nothing stopping her from doing so for the majority of the novel. She also had plenty of opportunity to tell him about her thievery and she chose not to, for no good reason. The hero was also kind of a douche. He was verbally really cruel to the heroine multiple times. I could not figure out why the heroine fell in love with him. The development of the romantic relationship was marred by the heroine’s unwillingness to honestly communicate what was going on in her life and her total unwillingness to ask for help, for no good reason. Near the end, the hero also physically assaults the heroine, which did NOT impress me, let me tell you. The plot and pacing kind of dragged for me. This novel had high unjustified angst on the side of both hero and heroine, which really detracted from my ability to enjoy this novel. The stakes were really high, but could have been significantly reduced with the application of honest communication, so I did not enjoy the high stakes like I usually do in romance novels. This novel used both the Refusal to Honestly Communicate trope and the Great Misunderstanding trope, both of which I typically despise. If you typically enjoy those tropes, you will probably enjoy this novel. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were both two stars in this novel. The plot, pacing, and world building were slow and unoriginal, so they also rated two stars. This novel ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus to this novel. I don’t recommend this sci-fi romance to readers who enjoy romances between people who have healthy communication skills. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Big burly brute, with sensitive horns, fangs and a heart of gold.
And a mistreated woman trying to get out from under the thumb of a madman.
What more do you want, I ask?
Well you get a lot more with this story. Social and familial injustice, intrigue and a who-done-it of epic proportions.
But you also get friendship and a deep all encompassing love.
Another great read by this author with action, plot and romance. I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving a review

DaKar is a combination Martian and human who grew up under the cruelty of a stepmother that had no use for him as all she cared about was appearances. As he is newly appointed to take over his deceased father’s estate, he has returned to Earth to right the wrongs of his family. However, his younger brother thinks that he should be the one to inherit everything. Lady Aurora is a woman trapped in a life with her stepfather. For all outward appearances, he is a respected man who holds a position of authority; yet underneath it all, he is really a malicious individual bent on increasing his money and power. Lady Aurora is willing to do anything to escape from the plans that her stepfather has for her, including stealing precious jewels and letting another take the fall. DaKar and Lady Aurora seem to have an indefinable pull towards one another. Do these two have a chance of getting what they want? This is the first book I have read by the author and it is an action packed, steamy and suspenseful story that will keep readers on the edge until the very end. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
