“Startling in its brutality, the Alpha’s Claim series is a sensual masterpiece which glorifies in its own unflinching depiction of the most base of human nature.” – Zoe Blake, USA Today bestselling author Shepherd has reclaimed his bride. Fragile… she is so fragile. Taking her hand, he pulls her from the storm. From her crumbling city. From her pain. Amidst a world where his machinations may be … crumbling city. From her pain.
Amidst a world where his machinations may be subtle, Shepherd will bend every standing Dome to his will. For her. So he can always keep his cherished mate safe.
So they can love one another in peace.
***
No one will touch what’s his.
Commodore Jacques Bernard stole her off the streets in broad daylight. He took the confused Omega with violence while none intervened. He broke her, swearing he’d put her back together.
Brenya Perin was ordered to submit.
The jewel of Europe, a bastion of art and culture, pleasure and decadence, Bernard Dome has never been challenged… until Shepherd’s emissary, Jules arrives from foreign soil.
Peace has a price, a price the Commodore of Bernard Dome is willing to pay… so long as the rare Omega remains his.
Jules would disagree.
The fourth book in Addison Cain’s exciting, raw, and suspense-filled Omegaverse series is a Dark Romance featuring complete power exchange.

I’m in awe of Addison’s writing. I just don’t understand how she can make a despicable character so likable. She’s not “redeeming a villain” because these men are still who they are, but the side we see brought out by their Omegas is just so vastly different than what you’d expect of them. Now, as I’ve stated in my other reviews of this series, you must have an open mind to enjoy these books. Read her warnings and take them seriously, because there are scenes that may bother some of you, so be prepared.
I honestly love this book and all of her books I’ve read so far. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
RAW AND BRUTAL DARK ROMANCE—BUT WITH SWEETNESS AND HOPE
This will tear you up and make you feel every emotion. The tension had me wanting to skip to the end to find out what happens RIGHT AWAY. I bounced between wanting Jacques and Brenya to work out and wanting her to disembowel him.
You know it’s skillful writing when you hate a character in one paragraph and swoon over him in the next. Jacques is a real piece of work and doesn’t seem redeemable at times. I had to remind myself that it took three books for Sheperd to become the worthy mate he is now.
Ahh, Sheperd and Claire. So happy to see them finally back together. I love where their relationship is at now. Their story interweaves with Brenya and Jacques’ without taking over. They’re in this more than I expected, but be aware–this isn’t their book. Think of them as guest stars.
Pay attention to the warning label. There’s no question this is a dark romance. The story is raw and brutal at times, but there’s also sweetness and hope.
OH, MY GOD!!!!!
A Massive five Stars from moi!!!
What a read this was, still wrapping my head around it but the verdict is I absolutely adored Addison Cain’s new book Stolen (Alpha’s Control, #1).
So where shall I start, Let’s start with our New Alpha Mate Jaques, Commodore of Bernard Dome and all round assole!!!
I bloody hate him HATE HATE HATE!!!! he is an obnoxious, selfish, egotistical douche.
at least with Shepherd, I could find some initial quality’s that eventually could be redeemable, Here I just want to bitch slap Jaques, like really really hard !!!
So a brief description of Stolen is we have Brenya Perin, Beta grunt in Bernard Dome recently discovered only actual known Omega under this Dome.
Brenya is stolen off the streets by Jaques An alpha and Commodore.
Made to submit, Brenya’s every move is controlled and watched her only purpose in her new life is to serve her new Alpha master, however, he decides.
Problem is Jaques is a Dick GRRR
Not sure how Addison is going to redeem this big jerk but will definitely be interesting to watch.
I had so much trouble with wanting poor Brenya to accept the mate bond, as I felt like screaming NO!!! you tell him where to get off girl, he’s a big doofus Jerk.
Brenya herself, well the way life is constructed under this particular dome you are born to your station, Brenya, as a lowly grunt has had her food and lifestyle, conditioned to leave her compliant, obedient and unremarkable.
Becoming omega changes that and Brenya gets to see the corruption and selfishness that thrives at the top of the food chain as she slowly changes and becomes aware of the real agenda flowing beneath the surface of Bernard Dome.
The world building In Stolen was as usual fantastic, you can actually picture it in your head and although beneath a different dome the parallels in corruption are so visible, just as they were in Tholos, it’s just under a different regime, the masses are still kept subservient and in the dark, controlled from the top, but in Bernard Dome the lowly beta masses seem more like puppets almost slavelike.
The relationship between our Alpha and Omega eventually comes to a head in a shocking mate bond that made me grit my teeth and seethe NO!!!
I so didn’t like where Stolen eventually took us, but I really didn’t see it coming, so bravo Addison.
it Still peed me off though and I am so mega sulking here.
I have absolutely no idea how Jaques is going to bounce back now, but I’m assuming he will, I will be watching and waiting eagerly with bated breathe for this seemingly impossible event.
front row tickets for sure.
We also get to revisit Shepherd and Claire again, finding out what happened after the end of Reborn, I so needed this closure.I was jumping with anticipation here, so so excited.
I’m not really going to say that much about these two just how great it was to catch up and continue with there beautifully tragic tale.
It was amazing to see the love and care, especially on shepherds part as he tries to help and heal his broken mate.
truly captivating I was mesmerized.
and this is where I will leave you, some of stolen is not easy reading, and I will warn you it is very graphic in places, with dubious consent throughout, this is dark fiction at its best if you are easily offended it’s probably best to give this a miss.
Me I loved every word and devoured Stolen.
If you have read Addison Cain before you will already have an idea of what to expect so happy reading, I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
Thank you To the Author for providing me with an ARC of Stolen (Alpha’s Control, #1) this is my own honest unbiased opinion.

I’m on the fence with this one. I wish Addison Cain would respect and trust her loyal readers enough to finish Claire and Shephard’s story so we can relax and enjoy her new ones.
I bought this book really hoping to read the end of Claire and Shephard’s story. Until they get it, I can’t relax and check them off in the happy box in my head where my great favorite Romance couples of all time live. I actually quit Outander for this reason. I can’t handle the idea that eventually she’s going to off Jamie and Claire. So I quit her, just to keep them in my happy love box.
I want Claire and Shepherd there. And if I could put them there, I’d be over the moon for Jacques and Brenya. Instead…I bought this for S&C and felt like I had these other people rammed down my throat.
She won me over by the end. Addison always does. These books are brutal, borderline offensive if you take them seriously, but mostly what they are is an escapist fantasy that will leave you feeling mildly confused about your own proclivities.
Addison pushes boundaries and I love it. Definitely not one to reach for if you are triggered by alpha males, violent sex, possessive sex, dubious consent sex, torture sex, forced orgasms, forced public sex…I mean, the list could go on, but I think I’ll leave it at that. It’s not a story I’d recommend to most of my reading/writing friends because I know how offensive/painful stories like these can be.
So…if you’re into dark DARK violent alpha male heroes who take whatever they want and make zero apologies, this is the story for you.
I truly enjoy this series, I love the world that Addison creates and allows you walk through the eyes of the characters. The way she structures society and the governing bodies in each dome to uniquely parallel the closest “ancient” society is interesting to me.
Her storyline and plot twist are on point and keep you turning the page. The character development and growth throughout the book is very well done and you never tire of watching the interplay of the characters.
Brenya- a young woman who had been miscatagorized and educated given a purpose she was not supposed to have and fulfilled that purpose exceptionally well until one fateful day there had been an accident. Because of that accident the previous mistake was uncovered. She was grounded from further mission assignments.
Jacques- the Commodore who is responsible for all the lives where Brenya lives. He happens upon her one day to discover the mistake that had been made and orders she be reassigned to him.
Not knowing her new role in her world and her status now being vastly different from what it once was she is having difficulty adjusting. Jacques does not understand why she can’t just trust him to do what is best and follow his lead. Just as he thinks he is making some headway with her he finds there is a looming threat among them and she tries to assert her opinion upon someone who can be rather dangerous. Now Jacques has to figure out how to navigate both issues, and make it safe for everyone. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens.
Wish the author would hurry up and finish the series.
Infuriating and Completely Devoid of a Conclusion… I am at a loss, stunned actually, at the total absence of a conclusion for Shepard and Claire! I have staunchly defended this series from the start, book after book, championing it’s plot against the naysayers who rage over its brutality and violent sexual content.
But after all of the heart-pounding twists and turns of “Born to be Bound”, “Born to be Broken”, and “Reborn”. After all of the thrilling, soul twisting, air gasping trials Shepard and Claire have endured. And after the gigantic cliffhanger “Reborn” ended with, WHY would you end their glorious story with six measly chapters messily crammed in-between a new story!?!
This, this I cannot accept. This rush into a new phase without a more defined transfer. Especially when the context the story is transferring to is exponentially more sadistic, more sexually violent, more emotionally brutal than anything seen in all the previous three books before it.
This book put a fiery rage in my belly that I cannot quench! And perhaps this burning feeling in my gut is Addison Cain’s goal, something I’d typically be ok with. However, this book honestly made me feel stupid for buying it. It made me feel as if I bought into a never ending serial story app where every chapter is a question and you have to buy story points to uncover the real truth.
In fact, “Stolen” is aptly named because I most definitely feel like my faith was stolen, my trust in the path this author was taking misplaced. Especially where Jules is concerned. As what is done to him in the end, after all his loyalty to Shepard and Claire, made me ill. And the implications of this final event toward Shepard, the danger it potentially brings back to Claire. Had me wondering aloud, how much is enough?
Yet we will never really know because Cain is shifting to Brenya And Jacques… And as a result, for the first time ever with a book series I am saying, I think I’ve had enough.
I love dark stories, they literally fuel my very soul, but even I have limits.
Perhaps it is as the others and not all is as it appears. But I cannot bring myself to look at another page after the sadistic upheaval that was this installment.
Perhaps when “Corrupted” comes out I will revisit my emotional fatigue, but for now my soul cannot take another maddening word.
This is not sexy, and its not suppose to be. It’s about taking, and mental, physical and sexual control in a society where those acts are the norm. Yes there is nonconsent, but again its part of the story, a well written fully formed world with characters that are layered. I never knew what Brenya or Jacques would do next and I was shocked by the ending.
Addison Cain brings another delicious book for me to devour. I swear, just when I think I know what her next step is for her characters, I’m kindly reminded that I know nothing! At this point, I just want to put out a disclaimer, I will seem like a broken robot on repeat when I say this but, I need more! I have so many things I want to say to encourage all you readers considering this book to just do it! Pick it up, you will not regret it. At least not a whole lot….just a little because you’ll be like me and hundreds of other Addison Cain junkies…more. More! MORE!
*Cough* Well kind folks, please take a chance on this book and join the dark side 😉
Holly shitballs!!! What an ending, I am still in awe of this woman’s ability to pull her readers in and leave them wanting more.
Please people, if you have not read any of the authors other books and you are not a reader of dark, dubious consent book. Do NOT start with this one. There are scenes of rape, abuse(physical, emotional) in it, so read only at own risk. There done my bit for the trigger warning people.
This is Not Tholos, this is Bernard dome, a completely different environment, where they place their people into groups once evaluated, that is where you stay for life. This was Brenya’s life until a fall from repairing the dome, and her breathing fresh air changed her life ( or maybe that was when she was taken by Jacques).
I am not sure how i feel about Jacques, there are moments where i felt he was weak, other times I could see the strength and the complete maleness of him. He is enamored with brenya and although not in estrous, mates with her scarring her, and as she feels turning her into something not her. His move at the end completely shocked me, but made sense as although i think he is strong, you could sense the weakness once faced with Shepard.
Brenya is a character, a woman who is completely stunned by her chancing situation, one who likes and understands her order, her purpose prior to Jacques. This need for him, and the way he makes her feel is contrary. She cares deeply for her friends and shows this with the scene with Annette and Ancil ( horrible scene that emotionally).
All in all her desire for freedom sets this story on another course altogether at the end, i just hope the author already have her pens to paper to get the second book out so we are not all left panting for the next book.
Oh yeah, this also features quite a few scenes between Claire and Shepard, the man who has taken over another Dome, because you know there was no way he was not being in charge. There are many tender, raw scenes between them and the anticipated blow up over the events in Tholos.
I received an early review copy of this book from the author. Also because i like her work have also bought the dang book for my collection. All opinions are my own.
Jacques is the leader of the Bernard Dome and when he realizes that there is an Omega under the Dome he grabs her and rapes her before anyone else can have her. Now he promises to make her his and take care of her.
Brenya Perin had no idea she was an Omega and now she misses her old life where she wasn’t known as an Omega. She hates the way she is treated by Jacques and the way that things happen around them.
When the Ambassador of Greth proposes a trade agreement will Jacques agree to the terms? Can Brenya find a way to save herself?
So I have read the other three books in the crossover series and at this point I like the other one way better because of the major hate I have for Jacques. I didn’t like Shepard at the beginning but in comparison to Jacques and his second in command Ancil, both Shepard and Jules Havel come off looking like complete saints.
I liked Brenya and I was shocked at the revelation that she had lived her life as a beta and now all of a sudden she was an Omega. The way she was treated by Jacques was awful but I was grateful that she made a friend in Annette.
I hated both Jacques and Ancil with everything that I had and I want them each to die a long and painful death. I couldn’t believe what Ancil did during the formal dinner and that Jacques was more than happy to let him.
I was happy that Jules seemed to make some headway but everything at the end of the book began to get super intense and I feel like I missed something with how Brenya ended up.
Definitely curious to see where the next book heads!
I’ve been anxiously waiting to read this book, so when I was given a copy I devoured it. Have you read the first three books of “Alpha’s Claim”? If not, you would benefit from starting at the beginning. We find out what happened to Tholos, Shepherd, Claire, and Jules. We also get glimpses of two new domes: Bernard and Greth. This is just as dark, twisted and action packed as the first three books of Alpha’s Claim with all the twists and turns in the plot, the Omega scenes are HOT, and OMG, you will not believe the HUGE cliffhanger at the end!
Love this book I love wow dark Addison gets in this book. I love her writing style as she keeps you engaged and wanting more it may not be everyone cup of tea but she is amazing and I have loved all the books I have read by her so far. She makes you both love and hate her hero and love he heroine. Claire and Shepherd come along this journey that introduces Brenya and Jacques to us. In Bernard dome an Omega is discovered in the most unlikely place and has a journey of her own that has her questioning everything. Jacques the Commodore rules Bernard Dome and always gets what he wants. Always. At what cost to his newly found Omega that is going on a journey of her own. I wont lie you will hate him want to yell at him and beat him but in some way you still love him. I absolutely love our heroine Brenya she shows you to never give up no matter what you endure.
Omg!!! I can’t wait until the next book in the series is released!
Amazing keep it coming
I’m a true follower of her work and can’t wait for new stuff
I like this book and the interesting view and representation of how power is used and abused. The presentation of the original, unfiltered development of the characters is excellently written, authentic and comprehensible.
Please publish the following book ‘Corrupted ‘ in this series ASAP.
It must go on!
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t necessarily fussed about the main story when I picked this book to read. I picked this book to read because of the series Alpha’s Claimed, and part of that series continues through this book. Claire and Shepherd were such a strong story that I wanted to know more. I still love their story, and their story is why I’ve rated this book four stars and not three stars. As far as the new storyline, it was good – I liked seeing the new dome, how different they are. Brenya is a characters you feel for, because she’s been taken away from everything she knows. And Jules is still a bit of an enigma. I really can’t get behind Jacques, though. I really, really dislike him, and he’s just an entitled prat really. He’s the reason that I would consider not carrying on with this series (that is how much I dislike him, and I don’t think you’re supposed to), but I will do because of Brenya and the rest of the story.
OMFG!!!! I’ve had to give myself a few days after reading this to process and I’ve been in a bit of a book funk since reading it and can’t seem to move on from Addison’s newest offering of delicious darkness, it was that fucking good!!!
Now – this is not for everyone, so be warned and take heed. This is a spin off from Addison’s Alpha’s Claim series. You do not have to have read Alpha’s Claim but I most certainly recommend doing so in order to fully understand just what is going on in the Omegaverse world. These are dark, raw, gritty books, full of violence, explicit sexual themes and complete power exchange – if such material offends then do not read or purchase – but if this is your thing, like its mine, you will fucking love it!!!!
The Stolen story is split between 2 different domes, Bernard Dome and Greth Dome.
Bernard Dome – a dome that seems to be doing well for itself as we first see it through Brenya’s eyes. Brenya (or Unit 17C as she is known) is a Beta mechanical grunt working for Oversight, tasked with fixing problems with the dome itself, is happy in her life, being useful, taking orders, being the best at her work – until she has an accident and falls off the dome whilst fixing it, and her life is turned completely upside down.
Jacques is Commodore of Bernard Dome, which makes him king/ruler/priest of everyone within the Dome, all orders come from him. Brenya is taken by him and captured to be his mate in every violent sense of the word you can imagine.
I have such a respect for Brenya after reading this, all that she goes through, all that she has to endure and submit to yet without fully comprehending the whys of it all to begin with. She is such a strong character to endure what she must to survive. To be taken and be told you are something completely different to what you thought you were, and to feel emotions and changes within you that you have no experience of ever having before must be completely terrifying, and I felt for her every step of the way.
Jacques is such a terrifying Alpha, with such power and control, so used to getting everything he wants and needs, and ruling the Dome in the way he sees is the best to avoid war – by literally enslaving the Betas and controlling them completely. What he does to Brenya in his eyes is the best for her, him and the Dome, and is the way of the Alphas. I seriously did not like the man!!! He made my skin crawl in the worst way. The things he subjects Brenya to are horrific to say the least and I had to remind myself that Shepherd started like this in the first Alpha’s Claim book, so to stay calm and breathe and maybe he will turn out to be a great antihero like Shepherd, time will tell!!
Greth Dome – I’m not going to go into detail too much with this as this is where Shepherd and Claire come into it, and if you have read the Alpha’s Claim series you will be soooo excited to read more about these two!
Shepherd has Claire back, but neither of them are like they were, they have both suffered immensely through their past experiences and losses. Claire had been kept drugged to high heaven and is so broken through her loss. But Shepherd will do anything to get his Claire back, his whole world revolves around her and he will do anything to help bring her back to him.
Now this, was utterly beautiful – dark, emotional, raw, gritty, frightening – the feels for Claire and Shepherd, I was blown away with Addison’s writing and telling of this dark deeply emotional tale, moving me to tears several times throughout their scenes. I couldn’t get enough!!
So if you’ve not gathered I loved this book, I am in awe of Addison’s writing skills and technique and her ability to bring the reader to such an emotional wreck whilst reading such a beautifully dark, gritty, raw, intense, powerful and wonderfully unique story and is such a credit to her as an author. I personally can’t wait to read more from Addison as her writing is going from strength to strength the more she writes. A go-to author for me without a doubt. Thoroughly recommended if this is your thing – a magnificently brutally dark emotional 5 star read!!!
I love anything by Addison Caine & this ebook doesn’t disappoint!
