No one will touch what’s his.
Commodore Jacques Bernard stole her off the streets in broad daylight. He took the confused Omega with violence while none intervened. He broke her, swearing he’d put her back together.
Brenya Perin was ordered to submit.
The jewel of Europe, a bastion of art and culture, pleasure and decadence, Bernard Dome has never been challenged… until Shepherd’s emissary, Jules arrives from foreign soil.
Peace has a price, a price the Commodore of Bernard Dome is willing to pay… so long as the rare Omega remains his.
Jules would disagree.

This is my favorite from Addison Cain. I enjoyed the Alpha’s Claim series but this book just blew me away.
I think I cried more during this book than I can remember any other book lately. It was so heartbreaking and the author has a gift for eliciting strong emotions. I wanted to throw my kindle at times, I may have used some not so nice language at times but nothing could move me from the pages of the book.
I believe the character development and world building in this book is far superior to Alpha’s Claim series. It felt much more believable which is partially why it caused me to breakdown so often. I need book 2 immediately though. This book produced a major book hangover.
Highly recommend!
Cliffhanger. And you only basically get the back story of one character and a whole lot of graphic description of orifices gushing. No thank you.
5 million Omegaverse stars
I cannot get enough of this series. I don’t know whether I love Addison or if I hate her. The same can be said about Jaques in this story. Much like Sheppard I vacillate between the two feelings although Sheppard has me wrapped around his finger. I wish this story talked more about them. I am needing a HEA.
Looking forward to the next in the series.
A new book in the Alpha series. It takes place in the same world as the Alpha Claim series but in different Domes. We reconnect with Claire and Shepherd and we meet a new couple Brenya and the Commodore.
This is one of those books that you can’t put down when you start reading, You have to keep reading because you want to know what will happen next. The author has an amazing style of writing that just pulls you into the story and the characters.
It was wonderful to get back to Claire and Shepherd and see how they are trying to reconnect and to cope with everything that happens and what was lost. There is a real love between them.
Poor Brenya is ripped from everything she has known from birth and thrust into a whole new world and relationship. All of a sudden her whole purpose of life is gone and she is bombarded with feelings and emotion she has no way of coping with. My feelings on the Commodore are undecided at the moment. He will do anything to get what he want no matter what.
Another well written original story with great characters and world building! So glad there is more to Claire and Shepherd’s story and their dystopian Earth! Looking forward to next installment!!
For those of you who follow my reviews, you know I’ve said this a million times, I’m not much of a cliffhanger lover. Usually I’ll wait until the final book in a series is ready to release before I start, and then I binge read, because, yes, I’m that girl…I require closure. That said, as with the first book in the Alpha’s Claim series, this book, the first in the Alpha’s Control series, is a lot of character and world building and although our heroine Brenya is left in a precarious position, it seemed like a good place to press pause.
The focus of the Control series has moved to the Bernard Dome in Cain’s Omegaverse, and although Shepard and Claire are not the main story line, they are now comfortably settled, after having made their escape from Tholos in a new dome. Shepard is still very much the Alpha we’ve come to know and love, and in total control of their new home.
The Bernard Dome, led by Commodore Jacques Bernard is, well…to be honest, I’m not really sure at this point. So far I have yet to meet an inhabitant of this dome that has a single redeeming quality. If we are to assume the Commodore wishes to lead by example, then it’s no wonder that all of the Alpha men in his command are total douches, no really they’re all despicable. Jacques Bernard is a ruthless leader, without restraint, conscience or remorse and his treatment of the very confused and frightened, Brenya, is beyond reprehensible.
I remember feeling much the same as I do now after finishing Born to be Bound, without a glimmer of hope that the author could redeem our Alpha MC in my eyes, but I absolutely love Shepard, so I will hold out hope that Addison Cain will be two for two.
Shepard and Jacques are already locking horns as an alliance is attempted. It reeks of distrust and deceit and there’s an abundance of Alpha muscle flexing, so…I think we’re in for quite a ride. Startling surprises and deplorable behavior are the themes for Stolen, but trust me, if you are a fan of dark reads, you won’t regret being an Addison Cain fan.
Stolen starts off where the last series ended but within a different Dome (Bernard). Shepherd and Claire are still what the story truly revolves around (I will get to that) but 75% of this story concentrates on Bernard dome and introducing us to the politics behaviors and main characters – Jacques, and Bren. We soon discover that the elite here is constructed of the same sick depraved and self-serving Alpha types that once ruled Tholos. Jacques the commodore of Bernard needs to be strung up by his hamstrings and declawed slowly over the fountain in the lower square – just saying – And at no point for any reason can I see myself thawing towards him -Anyway – Shep has taken over Greth Dome and is making a new world for his family and his followers, he wants peace and safety. He begins by sending an ambassador to meet with Jacques, though we all know Shep and there is a whole lot more than just a simple trade and offer of friendship here – Shep wants to ensure his rule and the safety of Greth – And we all know Shep will do anything to protect those he loves.
I really liked Bren, she is the Beta we meet on Bernard – hidden within her there is an Omega with the courage of an Alpha – She is a fighter and she is extremely intelligent and stubborn – I think what Jacques does towards the end to secure her and to ensure he keeps his dome safe and under his control is going to have some serious consequences in book two – a lot happens and there is a lot of references and hidden plots and future scenarios that are revealed in this book-
Yes, this is a very graphic read – it is also sci-fi fantasy – the characters behaviors reflect those of the canine species – which is very brutal to start with – Heed the warnings this is a dark and depraved read but it is also the stepping stone for a new world – it is always darkest before the dawn
Things are about to get real and I am salivating to get my teeth into book 2 – I want to know how Shepperd is going to protect his Clarie – because he will – of that I have no doubt -and I am eager to see the retaliation Shep’s ambassador (after you read the book you will know why I left out the name) brings upon Jacques for the underhanded bond he formed with Bren – and I believe Annette will play an important role as well in the future of Bernard
