Grief is a Vicious Beast
Stoan is a huge blue Detyen warrior spy for the ruler of a human colonized world, far in the future. The Detyen race is dying out, scattered too far apart in the universe. The Detyens must find a mate before they turn thirty or they die.
Recently it had been found that human women can successfully mate with the Detyens, thus saving their lives. The Detyen warriors mate with only one woman, and they mate for life, no fooling around. When they find their denya( true love), they know immediately, it’s like being hit with a brick, the attraction is overwhelming and all consuming. They must mate with their denya to consummate the lifelong relationship.
This book is more about the adventure of a spying mission that Stoan and his human mate Reina must complete rather than the love affair between the two people, aliens to each other. Their mating seemed secondary to the story.
Both characters has past problems, Stoan was an orphan, raised by priests with a Detyen female, Inrit, also an orphan. At some point they are separated before maturity and never see each other again. Stoan is convinced that if they had stayed together, Inrit would be his mate, so he is searching for her. He doesn’t want to accept the obvious fact that Reina is his mate.
Reina, for her part, married too young and just before she could divorce her always absent husband, he is killed in space. She doesn’t have closure.
Both characters spend a lot of time worrying about the other. Not a lot of xxx going on in This book.
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback, Cowgirl!
Great read. It was intriguing enough to keep my interest throughout the read. I thought the ending was anticlimactic, but it was not enough to make it a bad read. The romance between the mains was what i thought of as the main focus and that delivered. It was not a fast love/mating, but more a slow burn. It made it even better when they did finally get together. I quite enjoyed the read.

I felt like there were 2 stories as well as 2 Reinas in this book. The spy adventure story was superb, but the angsty “he/she is my mate but I don’t want them to be” got a little old. Likewise with Reina who was not so very likeable in the beginning in regards to how rude she was to Stoan, but then suddenly she was, right about when she decided that the connection they felt was real for a reason. Once they accepted each other, the book took off and became quite entertaining.
I received a free copy of Stoan, but that did not affect my review.
The way this is written you feel for these alien warriors. Being Blue adds to the sweetness. How can you not like anything that is that big and Blue? I fell in love with the characters of this book. The way Kate and Starr write these aliens you get a feel for not only the present but the past too. It is intriguing to me how they have to find that one person throughout the whole of the universe. I credit the authors for this. It has a great mix of chemistry between the characters and does not fall short in the HOTTNESS factor either. Good addition to this series.

Stoan and Reina are fated mates, but they both have long term relationships from their past that they are still coping with. It’s Reina’s previous relationship that puts her in a situation where she owes a favor to the leader of that portion of the planet. Stoan is meant to accompany her on the mission, but he tries to distance himself from the truth that Reina is his denya due to a promise he once made to the person he thought would be his denya.
One of these relationships appears and complicates the mission, as well as the feelings of Reina and Stoan. Has Reina made a friend, or has she allied herself with someone nefarious? And is Stoan helping an old friend, or is he being led into a trap?
Reina’s emotional journey at the beginning of the book was particularly well written!

Well worth reading!
Another good story in the Mated series about Deyton warriors and their fated mates. I found the 2 main characters entertaining as both felt that the other could not be their mate. Add in a bit of suspense, denial, danger and secrets from the past and you get a good story with some sexy scenes. I laughed a few times too. It was fun to watch Stoan and Reina interact and get closer as they both gave in to their feeling while still survive the craziness their lives were at this time.
Detyen Warriors have to find their Denya (mate) before their 30th birthdays. They can chose to have an emotionless soulless existence where they do the most difficult assignments until they are disposed of. He believes that he’s already meat his mate but they become separated and he now must seek her out. Reina’s has a problem that divorcing her deceased husband she shouldn’t be feeling attracted to someone else. Now Stoan has to work with a woman to find where a key goes that was found. Reina is forced to work with him and draws the attention of a warlord that destroyed most of her family. Stoan knows that Reina is his Denya but fights it. This is such an emotional journey that both must face and learn to trust in each other. This is a fantastic series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Stoan book three of Mated to the Alien. It is a great story filled with plenty of intrigue and romance that keeps you interested till the end. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

This is the third book in the series where the alien males only have until their 30th birthday to find their fated mate or they die (no stress). This story is about Stoan and Reina who he finds is his fated mate but Stoan tries to deny the bond because he thought he had already seen the female destined to be his who he continues to search for (even though he has this undeniable bond forming with Reina who he is on this mission with). Reina also tries to deny the bond because she had just lost her husband. The book is filled with lots of action and romance even though they fight it for a while there is a HEA for them at the end of the book. A great alien romance that keep you turning page after page.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I was NOT disappointed. I LOVE Sci-Fi Alien Romances and this one was HOT! Will definitely be reading more of her work. Highly recommend!

This is the story of Reina and Stoan. She awakens the denya bond when he sees her but doesn’t feel they can be together. As they work together on a mission they need to rely on each other to survive. The danger rachets up as secrets from Stoan’s past come to light. I enjoyed this romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kate did it again! She is able to take bold interesting characters, put them in daring, dynamic situations, and still end up with an HEA. This is a stand-alone story in her series that has ties to other series within her galaxy. The lead characters in this book have former loves but are fated to be together. Only during a little espionage are they able to realize this.
The third book in the Mated to the Alien another great story in this series. This is Stoan and human Reina Draven’s story there is suspense, drama, danger, villains, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Third book in the series. This one is filled with spying and mystery. So definitely plenty of adventure. Reina may be a new widow but when your husband spent more time away than home the pain and heartache just aren’t there. Stoan always believed his best friend would be the one for him. But after years of her being missing he no longer believes he will find her. But he didn’t expect Reina. She will change his life and maybe his heart.

Reina and Stoan have denial from the word “go”. They were both put on a mission about a key. He knew from before meeting her Reina was his Denya. They are on a mission but there is a lot of denial. Vivid dreams about being with each other and they are still refusing to acknowledge that they are soulmates. So it’s not as action packed as the other ones were in the series. I don’t know even though some of the other box had their own bag is going on, they were able to come together. Literally and figuratively and make a HEa. This one not so sure. My perspective my perception maybe someone else has a different one. It’s still a good read. For me it just dragged a little bit because of her side of the fence of denial versus his side of the fence of denial. How about it maybe I’m wrong.

This Book 3 in the Mated to the Alien Series is an exceptionally-written story with amazing characters that are strong, powerful and arrogant. These characters are well crafted and you feel as if you know them and feel their emotions. This story has action, adventure, twists, turns, chemistry and love. This is a must read story in a great series by an amazing Author

This is a really good series and this installment is pretty interesting. Stoan is a Detyen with a few years left before he turns thirty and is not really looking to find his Denya/mate. Reina is recovering from the loss of her husband even though she didn’t really love him and she and her brother are still recuperating from their physical wounds left by Droscus’ men. They are called upon to find an item of interest to Nina, the ruler of their city. They get off to a slow start and there is more action than sex (which is okay) and some intrigue surrounding this childhood friend. I’m looking forward to reading the next in this series.

Stoan is a Deyton warrior, he will die if he doesn’t find his mate by his thirtieth birthday, and he is a spy. He is told he will be working with a woman to find out what a key goes to that was found. Reina is forced to work with Stoan and to draw the attention of warlord that cost her the loss of most of her family. Stoan knows immediately that Reina is Denya and fights it. This is an emotional journey for her and they must both learn to trust. I love this series and this story.
