I don’t want him.
I can’t do this.
That’s what my ex said after our son was born, leaving me a single dad.
These days, my world consists of two things: Noah and my bar.
Until her—the woman I want —but can never have.
My ex’s sister wasn’t supposed to be stirred into the mix.
Even though I try to push her away, my son falls in love with her.
As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break … love with her.
As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break his heart.
Lines become blurred, and fighting our attraction becomes nearly impossible.
Even though we know it’s wrong, desire doesn’t always fade away.
As soon as we cross that line, nothing will be the same and everything will fall apart.
And it does.

Book 1 in the new Twisted Fox series and it was such a great start. Single dad with a forbidden romance theme was all I needed to see to know that I wanted to read this story. Jamie and Cohen stole my heart and had me rooting for them the entire time I read their story. They had some much history between them and not all of it was good. When he needed help for his son, Jamie was the one who ended up helping him. They started to slowly navigate around each other and get to know each other again and that was they needed to help get over the past. The chemistry and attraction between them was so intense.
No matter how much chemistry and attraction, will they be able to find the HEA they both need or will there be something or someone standing in the way of happiness? You will have to read to find out. Highly recommend this read and I can’t wait to read more of this series.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Stirred is the first book in a brand-new series by Charity Ferrell and I am smitten! I found this book to be lighthearted, fun, and tinged with just enough drama and emotion to keep it interesting. I’m a sucker for a single dad romance and adding in a forbidden relationship (his ex-girlfriends sister) makes it a juicy and delectable read! Is it too early to say I already want the next book? Because I am absolutely itching for it! This is the first book I’ve read from Charity and it won’t be my last! I love the way she weaved this story and am looking forward to many more of her books in the near future.
I wasn’t sure how’d I feel about Jamie and Cohens story but was so surprised I loved it like I did. Jamie hasn’t seem Cohen or nephew in years since he shut the door on things that consisted of his ex’s life, which includes Jamie being her sister and all but when something happened and Jamie finds a opening to get to know her nephew she’s determined to make sure she’s not shut out again only problem is feelings that she never let herself really acknowledge come full blown being around Cohen again.
I am a total sucker for Ferrell’s books. Once you start, the emotional attachment you form with her words and writing pulls you in and you cannot look away. There are lovable characters, angst, sexual tension and plenty of steam that makes this a top read.
Cohen is a single dad to Noah, his ex signed over all rights and left him with a newborn baby. He cut all ties with her family but when he steps into the ER five years later and comes across Jamie, the ex’s sister, he knows his life will never be the same again.
Cohen, I love this guy! He is one great hero. I loved his dedication to his son and how unapologetic he was in his pursuit of Jamie when he knew she was special and no longer the enemy, I loved his honesty putting himself out there, as well as his dirty mouth!
Jamie, she’s sassy, level headed, always trying to do the right thing, just not for herself, which in turn spiked my anxiety levels, but I loved her and I really wished she would have punched her evil sister square in the face.
I love the slow burn of this romance, getting to know the characters and falling for them all. There’s is a great family feel, even better friendships and I was totally swept away.
This is the first book in a new series and the insight we got into the side characters has me excited for what is to come. If you haven’t read any of Ferrell’s books, I urge you to pick one up. The stories she tells and real, heartfelt, filled with emotion and will give you all the feels.

Yay!! She does it again! Another fun series by Charity Ferrell! Stirred is part one (and a great kick off) of the Twisted Fox series.
The storyline was one we are familiar with, but the journey was very entertaining. This book had it all. It was steamy, sweet, devastating, turmoil ridden! The author did an incredible job with her characters. My blood was boiling with the antics of the sister. I could seriously feel my blood pressure rising as I read the parts with her. GRR!!
Poor Jamie, torn between family and the love of her life. My heart hurt for her. She was always trying to do what is right for everyone except herself. She had such a strong sense of loyalty, especially considering her sister is such a twat! And Cohen…Swoon. Hot dad alert!! He was so great with Noah and they had such a terrific relationship. Noah and Georgia were also incredible characters I absolutely loved. Overall, I really fell for all of the characters. They were fun and layered with depth and dimension. I can’t wait to see what happens with them all. I also really, really enjoyed getting glimpses of characters from the previous series intermingling with my new friends! Overall, a super fun new series! Looking forward to Georgia and archers story!
Stirred is a new series from Charity. A single dad forbidden romance is hitting us right out of the gate.
Jamie is a physician at a local emergency room and one night with a certain patient puts her life in a spin. Cohen is a single father, business owner and has been burned by love. He has raised his son Noah for five years on his own with only the help of his family and friends. When an ER visit puts him in the exam room with his ex’s sister his who is his son’s DR his world is now off kilter. Jamie is a beautiful inside and out she is sweet, nurturing and kind so much more than his ex girlfriend and his son Noah’s mom could ever be. When Jamie becomes involved in her nephew’s life it now puts her in the home of Cohen and yes she has always had feelings for him. This is an emotional, angsty, sweet read filled with family drama. It gives you hope that you may find your people in the place that you least expect.

I started reading Stirrred as soon as I downloaded it and didn’t stop until I got to the end. This amazing read is well worth the 5 stars I can give it and I’m now left with a major book hangover. Charity Ferrell is a very talented author who knows how to pull the reader in and ensure they can’t escape until they’ve finished her latest release. I have yet to find a book by this author that I haven’t enjoyed
The Blue Beech series was my first introduction to Charity Ferrell’s writing. And I completely fell in love with those characters and that world. So when I was given the chance to read an early copy of Stirred I quickly signed up. I absolutely LOVED Jamie and Cohen’s story.
This was an emotional story filled with hope and so much love.
I also really loved seeing certain scenes from the Blue Beech world from the Twisted Fox perspective. I can not wait for the rest of the books in this series and I’m really crossing my fingers that it’s Georgia and Archer’s story next!!! This is an ABSOLUTE must read!!
Stirred was the first book I’ve read by Charity Ferrell and it definitely will not be the last! What a really great read. I fell in love with Jaime and Cohen and Noah. Cohen makes an excellent single dad and even though a bit gruff you adore him. So much angst as Cohen and Jaime power through their new relationship with each other you just have to keep reading. This book is a great start to this series and I look forward to reading more!
I’m a sucker for a sexy, single dad and Cohen Fox was the epitome of these characteristics! He’d been wronged in the worst possible way, was raising his 5 year old son alone and trying to run a successful business. Love wasn’t even on his radar when a chance encounter in the local ER with his baby mama’s little sister happened. But seeing Jamie brought back a ton of emotions for Cohen, and not all of them were good.
The history between Cohen and Jamie was complicated but with the past behind them, they had every reason to see where the sparks and connection could take them. The characters went back and forth so many times, I started to get dizzy. I understood WHY they fought their feelings but most of their reasoning was completely baseless and absurd. Do what makes you happy! I’m so glad they finally figured it out in the end, but not without a giant push.
It’d rare that I find a read where I adore BOTH the hero and heroine equally, but I found that in Stirred. Cohen was a genuinely good person and incredible father. Jamie was driven, smart and had a heart of gold. They were just two wonderful people who deserved all the happiness they’d denied themselves. The slow burn of this romance read was worth the wait!
Womp womp, the only negative thoughts I have on the book… I didn’t really care for the big twist at the end, but that’s just me. I thought the characters had a great thing going and didn’t need added complications or drama. But the author made it work and I was super happy with the conclusion of Cohen and Jamie’s story!
The supporting characters in this story were everything! Georgia, Cohen’s little sister was incredible! I really loved seeing the relationship Cohen had with his friends and their significant others. Jamie’s support system was complicated but present. Her relationship with her family was complex but she had a few friends in her corner who kept her afloat.
Charity Ferrell has hit it out of the park with Stirred! Jamie and Cohen had me wrapped around their little fingers, completely invested in their emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey from start to finish! And Noah! Now Noah really had me wrapped all around his little finger! From a situation nobody should have to face and deal with, they are thrust together, super uncomfortable for them, and super intriguing for the reader! I can’t help but love a bit of emotional turmoil!
Though the expression usually has to do with fury and a woman scorned, Cohen feels burned, was burned, and takes it out on everyone, and I get it, I do, but from the get go, I’m falling in love with Jamie, and love seeing it sneak under his skin too. She is charming, caring, adorable, persistent, and a good person. He’s growly, adorable, such a good dad, intriguing, and hurt.
Throw in some family drama, obstacles that seem insurmountable, and you’re in for one heck of a ride!
And I’d like Archer’s story please and thank you, preferably with Georgia, if I’m reading the vibes right, though whatever Charity decides I’m sure will be perfection! And Grace and Finn! And Lola and Silas! And I am intrigued about Maliki and Sierra! In general, I love the cast of secondary characters as much as the protagonists, and that has made this story more enjoyable!
Now, who wants a cupcake to make everything better? Love that it works in the book!
My new favorite Charity Ferrell book! Holy emotional rollercoaster ride!! Stirred was the first book in Charity’s new Twisted Fox series and she brought it! I absolutely loved it!
Cohen became a single Dad when his ex just couldn’t do it anymore. Over the years he figured out how to run his bar and balance his home life, but when his ex’s sister came back into the picture could he give her and her family a second chance?
Jamie had been cut out of Cohen’s life after what her sister did. When she was given a second chance to be in their lives, she was prepared to follow all the rules. But what happened when those rules were broken and lines were crossed? Would they be able to stay strong or would everything fall apart?
Oh my heart! This book was pure perfection! From laughs, to tears, to love, this book had it all!! I can’t wait to see what’s next for everyone!!
Absolutely loved this book! Cohen is a single father after the mother leaves him not a few days after giving birth. Not wanting anything to do with her family, he’s surprised when her sister Jamie is the doctor his son has while in the ER five years later. Begging him to let her be a part of Noah’s life, Jamie slowly gets to finally spend time with her nephew and the man she always crushed on growing up. Jamie and Cohen have such an amazing relationship from the beginning. It’s anything but normal, but their chemistry is so strong and they make it work. With ups and downs with her family and the mother trying to come back, these two are put to the test to see if they can handle the pressure. This really was a fantastic book. I’m excited to read more from this series.
The very last person Jamie expected to see in her ER was Cohen, her former brother-in-law, and her nephew, whom she’s never gotten to see, Noah. She had crushed on Cohen for years, but he chose her evil sister, and Jamie was left with a broken heart and an unrequited love that never quite went away. Now he’s here in front of her, and it’s obvious he still hates her sister, and by extension (even though completely unfairly), her. But she’s got something Cohen will end up needing – her medical knowledge, and it’s this very thing that will bring her back into their lives and will allow her the relationship with her nephew she had wanted ever since she had found out her sister was pregnant. Perhaps it may even allow her a relationship with Cohen, too?
Oh my heart hurt while reading this story! So much pain inside both Cohen and Jamie. So much time they could have spent together, even just as in-laws, or former at least, if Cohen had allowed her near him and his son. And yet, I couldn’t even dislike Cohen for his anger, because he was just trying to protect Noah (and himself a little too). As they slowly got to know each other, there were things to be weighed, things like what there was to lose if their relationship ever became public. And it was hard on them, acknowledging they could lose so much, and yet feeling so much for each other that they finally went for it, and were rewarded, heavily.
This is a seriously good start to a new series. I adored Jamie especially, and the relationship she ended up forging with her adorable nephew, who stole the entire show in every scene he was in. Cohen was a bit of a grump (OK, A LOT of a grump) and wasted too much time pushing away the best thing to ever happen to him, but I still liked him and how much he loved his son. And I love how these two finally let themselves love each other. Now onto (I hope) Archer’s story next!
I loved this book so much, it’s a single dad, forbidden romance that made me laugh, cry and made me truly happy. There is a way the author write this romance that it doesn’t fell pushy and the slow burn between Jamie and Cohen was killing me.
Cohen is a single dad after his long time girlfriend, Heather, decided that she doesn’t want the baby, Noah, anymore and left them behind and went to Vegas to marry another guy who doesn’t want kids. Jamie is a doctor and Heather’s little sister, but she had a crush with Cohen since she was a teenager.
5 years later from Noah’s birth, Cohen met with Jamie when he went to ER. From there on, it’s really a roller coaster of emotions, I liked how they built a bridge between hate, to friendship, to admiration, to respect and then finally to love. Their slow burn was real and I’m actually glad that they fought their feelings considering their relation wasn’t easy at all, there was a lot in their way! But in the end their chemistry was strong and I loved how dysfunctional their little family was, it was meant to be.
There was a lot of highlights in this book: Jamie’s date with the lawyer, Noah and his reflection about cupcakes x boyfriend, Jamie’s way of chill at home, Cohen “date” x IPod solution, Georgia’s speech about the off-limits guys, all of their friends, drunk Cohen! Noah’s talk about mom, was so emotional and sweet, I love that kind so much!
Heather was truly a despicable person, selfish and horrible, she had a black heart for a long time… and I was so mad with her parents, love is blind sometimes, but I think that at the end they found out who she truly was. I cheer when Jamie grow a back bone and confront her, with their parents in the audience.
The ending was super satisfying Noah, Cohen and Jamie deserve so many good things in the world and I swoon a lot of their ending. I also enjoy how it gave a little beginning toward Georgia and Archer story. I can’t wait!
Jamie is a doctor and when she responds to a five year old patient in the next room, she discovers it is her nephew Noah and his dad Cohen. Her sister left them five years ago and Cohen is against anything to do with her as well. The attraction between them is real. Cohen owns a bar and is a single dad to Noah so he has no time for anything else. Jamie takes him by surprise as he never thought they had anything in common. A good realistic read with steamy scenes and a cute five year old.
As a long time fan of Ferrell’s Blue Beech Series, I can’t tell you how much I anticipated her new release, Stirred. Stirred is Ferrell’s beginning to the Twisted Fox series and I can already see the wonderful ideas she has brewing between characters.
In Stirred, we finally get resident bar owne and single dad, Cohen’s story. We previously met Cohen and the Twisted Fox crew in the Blue Beech Series, but don’t fear. You don’t have to back track. Ferrell only laid out little snippets to gain interest for Cohen that fully played out in Stirred. Cohen is a young dad raising his 5 year old all alone after his college sweetheart ditched him after the baby. Although his ex wants nothing to do with the child, her younger sister does and fate has a way of making that happen.
Cohen, Jamie and Nate’s story is a sweet one. Nate is a curious kid who wants those he loves most to be happy. Navigating their way through the aftermath of his ex, these two form a bond over the love of the child that is hard to resist. Ferrell continues to write fun, flirty novels with a heartfelt message that engage you from cover to cover. Stirred was exactly that! I can’t wait for more.
I love a single dad romance and this one had the makings of a great by throwing in a somewhat forbidden romance as well. Jamie and Cohen have undeniable chemistry and I could feel it coming off the pages. The angst, tension, and attraction kept me glued the whole time. Don’t miss this new series by this author!
I love a good single dad romance. I loved the story line, the MCs and secondary characters, especially Georgia and Noah.
But one thing I don’t like is the drama towards the end, the back and forth by Jamie and her indecisiveness, mostly because she’s afraid her family would hate and blame her. But I don’t see how that’s reasonable, there’s no need to string along Cohen and his son though. Cohen has already made up his mind to be with her, although he had been hurt and burned before. He shouldn’t be faced with another heartbreak and this time, it’s not just him but there’s also his son in the mix.
Overall, I love the story despite that one thing. I can’t wait for Georgia’s story! There’s some sizzling drama coming up for her I’m sure.
Stirred is a mesmerizing story that is overflowing with passion, chemistry and emotion. Cohen and Jamie are two people that have a connection, one that causes these two to feel that a barrier should be placed around their hearts. As lines blur, drama ensues and hearts are placed at risk, Cohen and Jamie will need to stand tall and fight for what they both want. A story that is not only steamy and emotionally charged but full of angst and heartwarming moments. A story that will well and truly have love stirring things up.
