Lainie Lovett has three passions: her two nearly-grown children, her fourth-grade students at the Hopwell School, and the Rockettes, her recreational soccer team. One evening after soccer practice, she’s startled to spot the husband of one of her teammates canoodling with another woman in a local eatery. She’s even more shocked when he turns up dead the next day. And more shocked yet when she … winds up under suspicion as an accessory to murder. But Lainie is smart and she’s stubborn. She’ll figure out who killed her teammate’s husband—if she can stay out of jail, if she can stay alive, and if she can hang onto her sense of humor.

Take action main character shows her moxie and keeps the plot moving with wit and ingenuity. This is a good read.
This book was an easy read with credibly funny interaction between characters that flowed well and constantly kept me guessing
Enjoyed this first book of the series. Interesting main character with a good twist to the story and a new perspective. Read the remaining books in the series and wasn’t disappointed. Very entertaining.
Not the typical mystery
Easy to read book with a twist at the end.
This was a good read. You never know what you’re going to get. The stupidity of the local police frustrated the heck out of me, but otherwise, enjoyed it.
Fun to read !
Can’t wait to read ythe, next one!
Not as good as some of her other books.
Easy to read with a surprise ending.
Bit of problem with almost ,50 year old women playing competition soccer I am older and know a lot of people but none of them play that would be more realistic if it we’re softball
Yes a lot of women run this was an interesting believable choice. Story moved along ok
I liked this one. I’ll look for more from this author.
pretty good. unfortunately, I can’t quite believe someone who is into a sport to the exclusion of everything else.
I stopped after several chapters. I did not like where the book was going.
Good read. Made me want to look for books by author
