STILL is the conclusion of Grip & Bristol’s emotional journey. You must read FLOW, the prequel, and GRIP, book 1 before beginning STILL “Take everything you’ve ever thought about follow-up books and discard it. Even deeper than what came before, STILL is a love letter to soul-deep commitment. I adored Flow and Grip, but Kennedy took it to a whole new level with STILL. Prepare to be blown … adored Flow and Grip, but Kennedy took it to a whole new level with STILL. Prepare to be blown away.” – Ella Fox, USA Today Bestselling Author
I’ll be there.
Through thick and thin.
Ride or die.
You can count on me.
The promises people make.
The vows we take.
Assumptions of the heart.
Emotion tells us how we feel, but life…life has a way of plunging us in boiling water, burning away our illusions, testing our faith, trying our convictions.
Love floating is a butterfly, but love tested is an anchor.
For Grip and Bristol,
Love started at the top of the world
On a Ferris wheel under the stars
But when that love is tested, will they fly or fall?

This book is pure poetry!
If you wonder why 3 books had to be written for Bristol and Grip, reading this you will know why. The issues in this book are real, the the topics should make us think, but inside this book is a love story that will define us for years. Grip and Bristol’s story is an amazing journey of love, trust, and absolute devotion. They faced heartbreaking issues together, learned that when they are together they can survive anything. This story is born from some of the most beautiful words written. Grip and Bristol will live within my mind and heart for years.
Must read FLOW, GRIP, then STILL.
I knew going in that this had the potential to be good book. Good does not even come close. Great can’t touch it either. The only word I can say is OUTSTANDING.
I had this theory of which direction the book would go. 4 directions actually. I was on high alert for each of them, none of which was what I wanted. I got just that. It did go in a slight way from one of my theories but not in the way I thought.
1am, I’m crying in the bed reading. The Mr. asks if I’m crying (b/c you know I was trying to hold it in) I said yes. He asked why, I told him it’s the book. He just spoons me tight and lets me continue to read. He’s my GRIP.
There were many times that you could FEEL the love. There was even I time where I just wanted to slam my lips to Bristol’s and kiss the snot out of her. I was slightly hoping that at both debates they would have a hot mic on. Oh how I wished that so hard.
Then you have the side characters. Ms. James, Matty, Mrs. O’Malley, if you don’t love this lady from her first appearance, you are dead inside.
I want to continue praising this book, but I feel I will give away secrets and I’m not into that. Just READ THE BOOKs.
This book will forever be the standard that I compare all love stories from now on. It is not often that I fall more in love with two characters, or am surprised by the direction of their story, and by the passion and emotion it will draw from me. Grip and Bristols epic love story did exactly that and more for me. They had already charmed me and captured my heart from their struggle to be together in Grip. I wasn’t sure Ms Kennedy could add more to their story and do them justice without minimizing the significance of their hard fought union or their connection and spark. Oh why did I question where she would take me, because I have learned that Ms. Ryan never disappoints! I loved the direction she took us on in Still! It was so compelling, passionate, emotional, and honest. It made me love Grip & Bristol even more for their strength, love and devotion. There were those who weren’t happy about their relationship, and tried to plant doubt with them and the world. But their bond was beyond that. They support one another, challenge each other and have fun together. Their passion and chemistry only gets more explosive. This story was about life and the twists and turns it throws at you but can rise above together. Ms Ryan’s writing style is beautifully poetic. It is so alluring and seductive that you feel like you are right there and experiencing every emotion. She takes us on an exhilarating journey that will leave you raw and breathless and totally satisfied. I loved every word of this beautiful, passionate, poignant, and sexy epic love story! Bravo! <3
This book is a powerful redition of true, unabashed love of two people who could weather any storm, as long as they were together facing the rain. Grip and Bristol have been in love with each other for so many years. It was a privilege to watch their love grow together in this book. If one thing gets me to my soul is reading/watching a man be in love with a woman (because he’s always loved her). This book does that and my heart is so full. Grip loves Bristol so much, and You feel like they are right there in front of you, and you are witnessing their story first hand.
“And when the years have passed, and we have watched a thousand sunsets, and we are bent, our bodies crooked with age ask me again. In the twilight, in the shadow of the life we have shared, ask me if I love you, and my heart will answer before my lips can part. My love, my life, my heart never left your hands. Always, evermore, even after. Still.”
This book, like the last one, expels the nature of what can happen when racism is part of your every day life. Not just from strangers or bigots, but from family too. It is hard to understand sometimes because I don’t feel that way, but you know it’s there. Everywhere. I wish there were more people like Grip in the world who would vocalize the plight of the system that could and do affect those of different races.
“Too many of our American systems are built on bias. The irony is that these biases are often inextricably, if unconsciously, connected to our own sense of superiority. The very biases that make those in power feel stronger, better, actually weaken them. Our biases are our blind spots, and we need others to guide us in the darkness of our own ignorance.”
The above quote is mentioned a few times throughout the book, but it’s funny (not funny as in ha ha funny though) regarding the person who says this, and the effect it has on those in the book.
The flawless words written in this story moved me to the end. I cannot express to you the emotional rollercoaster I was on while reading this remarkable book. It solidifies everything that means anything in relationships, and It binds you to the characters in such a way that you are needing to reread the book immediately just to get more of them.
I’m a hard and fast one-click reader for this author. Anything she writes I will read… It’s just that simple. If you read about Rhys and Kai’s story in My Soul To Keep or Down To My Soul or Refrain you already know Grip and Bristol. Now don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to read about Rhys and Kai to understand Grip and Bristol. You truly don’t. You don’t HAVE to read FLOW and/or GRIP to read STILL, but the plot makes more sense, because You understand some of their idiosyncrasies and get their true love story. It’s just perfect. I voluntarily reviewed this fabulous book gifted to me by the author. Five stars ***** is not enough. I wish I could give more. I implore you to read this book. “Always, evermore, even after. Still”
This book gutted me! I love Grip and Bristol so much. This continuation of their sorry was equal parts sexy and heart wrenching. I love their story so much. The addition of new characters was great. So good!
Seriously heartbreaking story!!! Grip and Bristol are still the strongest couple I’ve EVER read about! But that strength was severely tested in this book! Their story tells us that, emphasizes, that love is needed to lead is through the darkest of times. . Their fights are fantastically epic. I love their fighting and making up! They never took the easy way anywhere, and always stood up for what they believe in and each other! I love them! I’m so glad I FINALLY took the time to read their stories! Now I’m off to find more Kennedy Ryan books to get.
Kennedy Ryan’s STILL is the third and final book in the GRIP series. The story takes place after book two’s HEA as Grip and Bristol experience life together as a couple. They face some serious obstacles together – a heartbreaking and emotional journey. It’s a story about survival, healing, and steadfast love. A rewarding conclusion to Grip and Bristol’s story.
“Emotion tells you about love, but hard times prove it. How can you know something is great unless it’s been tested? Until then, it’s just an assumption. It’s a question, but life has a way of answering.”
Wow, oh wow! I didn’t think Grip and Bristol’s story could get any better than Grip, but Still has blown me away! What an incredible story. Filled with immense emotions, and a love so profound that your heart will burst, this incredible journey of love is one that will stay with you long after you’ve read it. I never wanted this story to end.
“Don’t stop knowing me better than everyone else does.”
Kennedy Ryan is my author superhero! The writing and journey of this story is like no other. I lived and breathed this story. Grip and Bristol have a connection and bond so deep that you feel it in everything! Their loyalty, their honesty, the way the persevere together, they are the ultimate couple!
There are a multitude of things that happen in this story. I laughed, I cried like a baby, I hurt, I loved; I was an emotional rollercoaster. This story is a complete journey and it’s absolutely breathtaking!
“Always. Evermore. Even after. Still.”
This series, OMG!! What can I say has not been said yet, became my obsession and without a doubt entered my top 5 of my favorite series of all time. Flow caught my attention immediately, Grip caught me completely and Still, made me completely addicted to this couple and the words of the author.
I can not describe in words what this story made me feel, in these times where it is so difficult to find good stories, Mrs. Ryan gives us a unique, emotional, evocative, heartbreaking, complete and totally emotionally exhausting series, she drained me completely, left with a hole in my stomach and my soul and heart shattered.
A box of Kleenex is not enough, I was sobbing uncontrollably as few times, a journey full of emotions so raw, that even now and after several days to finish, I can not stop thinking about them and my eyes are filled with tears , my heart almost bleeds of pain and suffering.
But despite all the pain and suffering that caused me I am so happy to have read it because it is a beautiful and moving story, the love shared by the characters is so unique and special, surpasses all boundaries and borders, and their unconditional surrender to another is sublime, the dialogues and scenes between them loaded with poetry will leave you sighing and with your soul in a thread.
The words of the author reached my soul, took possession of her and stayed engraved forever in my heart, it is an important story, that touches important and real issues but that in some moments it becomes difficult to read.
Grip and Bristol are so special characters, so brave, so strong, and my heart suffered so much with them, the situations that they have to happen are so painful and affected me very deeply because in my case they hit very close to home, it was such a drink bitter that even now writing this review my eyes are filled with tears.
Mrs. Ryan creates magic with her words, I do not have enough words to thank her, her talent is exceptional, a standing ovation to her, she managed to touch my soul and heart, and she turned me into her fan # 1.
VERY VERY VERY recommended.
Oh wow this book was so much better than Grip. To be honest, I almost didn’t finish Grip because Bristol drove me a wee bit crazy. I wasn’t a huge fan of hers, like at all. This is such a great story with these two. I love their relationship, it’s really beautiful. There were a couple of parts that almost got my cold dead heart cracking. There were some feels up in here. I’m so glad that I decided to read it. What a great conclusion to Bristol and Grip’s story
This book was everything! When I say Kennedy Ryan absolutely wrote her heart out in Still. She not only wrote her heart out, she mended it as well. This book was an eye-opener.
Once again get ready to be absolutely spellbound and captivated by Grip and Bristol. Grip and Bris are back and this couple will reaffirm everything you believe about soulmates. Theses two are still going strong after all the crazy roller coaster moments of “Grip”. Our couple’s final chapter will give you everything you could possibly want. Gris and Bristol’s love story is epic and true. They still have their battles with both old and new prejudices, but as always love endures. Grip and Bris will need to remember that nothing can come between them but themselves. This book will evoke very raw and real emotions of love, happiness, joy, pain, sorrow, and grief. At some points you will be laughing so hard your sides hurt, the next something so sweet will happen your heart will melt, then prepare for outrage, and at other times overwhelming sadness. You will run the gamut but Grip and Bris are so worth it.
I voluntaily read an advance reader copy of this book.
There’s no other couple like Grip and Bristol. The continuation of their love story in Still was something beautifully unexpected and brilliantly executed. It’s the story of a strong couple, and I’m not sure strong is even a strong enough adjective, who weather storms together as a couple. Their lives are on a set course and when it starts to veer we as devoted readers get to watch the navigate the maelstrom of their live together. Still is an amazingly rich love story full of depth, intelligent conversation, and unbridled passion.
Prepare for serious heartbreak. Prepare to open your mind and think. Prepare to let your heart free and then let it soar. Kennedy Ryan’s writing never fails to provide thought-provoking depth and beautifully brilliant prose cementing her characters in your reading heart. I can’t begin to explain how excited I am about Grip and Bristol’s story in Still and there were parts that were very hard to read so emotionally raw you’ll feel them for days upon finishing. But Kennedy Ryan makes it all worth it in her signature style of glorious writing. She takes each book and each character to another level of greatness as she keeps giving us more and more to adore about them. I fell in love all over again and strengthened the bond I have with her work. You don’t want to miss this series or this story.
I wish I knew how to put into words how very special this book and this series is. On the surface it is a love story, an amazing beautiful love story. It is a story of prejudice and preconceived ideas. It is a story about this spunky girl and this tough man who find in each other a perfect fit.
“And when the years have passed,
and we have watched a thousand sunsets, and we are bent,
our bodies crooked with age
ask me again.
In the twilight,
in the shadow of the life we have shared,
ask me if I love you,
and my heart will answer before my lips can part.
My love, my life,
my heart never left your hands.
Always,
evermore,
even after.
Still.”
I highlighted so much in this book! Beautiful passages, funny quotes, outrageous incidents. So many parts that I just want to go back to and experience again, feel again.
Really, I highlighted the entire powder room scene! So HOT and also So FUNNY!!
“Grip.” She squeezes her eyes closed, her face wreathed in pleasure. “I do need to walk tomorrow.”
“Yeah?” I press into her, holding her hostage between my body and the brick wall. “Well you should have married some other guy if you need to go around walking all the time.”
There is so much ‘real’ in this book and series. Real life situations, real heartache and heartbreak. But more than anything else, real beauty and humor and love.
“I want a love with no walls. This world uses whatever it can—race, politics, religion—to divide us. We can have differences, but promise me they won’t be walls that divide us.”
I feel so privileged that I got to experience Bristol & Grip’s love. I think everyone should read this and we all will owe author Kennedy Ryan a huge thank you note for giving this amazing part of herself to us!
I’ve followed Grip and Bristol since they were introduced in Soul, the two books about Rhyson and Kai where they were secondary characters. What a journey Grip and Bristol have been on and it concludes in this phenomenal book STILL. I was one of those who was left wanting more of Gripstol when I finished Grip, so I was pretty darn happy when Kennedy Ryan announced STILL.
I’m not going to dive too much into the storyline cause I don’t want to give anything away. If you’re a true Gripstol fan STILL is a delicious dessert that’ll explore this beautiful couple further, give us fans what we can expect from Kennedy Ryan and a closure that left me satisfied and satiated.
My expectations for STILL is fulfilled by a 100%. I was only a couple of pages into STILL and I was back in that warm cocoon exactly when I read the Soul series, Flow and Grip. I didn’t want to leave. I just wanted to be in this cocoon with Gripstol.
Grip and Bristol’s friendship is what drew me to them in the first place. They build such a strong foundation in Flow and Grip that only continues to grow in STILL. As lovers there’s so many intense emotions that still comes into play. They are both fiercely possessive and protective and I enjoyed to see that side of them especially Bristol.
They’re both honest and eloquent when it comes to what they want and need from one another in their relationship. They’ve matured so much and it shows in their actions. Their love surpass anything and there aren’t anything they won’t do for one another. They both bravely dive into new challenges. Bristol wants and tries wholeheartedly to understand Grip and his culture. To be a part of his world. Grip uses his fame to educate himself so he can help others who are in need. They both kept surprising me and I fell more in love and in awe of them.
Their friendship and love is unparalleled and in STILL both are being put to the test. Grip and Bristol both fight tooth and nails to protect and save one another. No matter the cost. They are each other’s constants and confidents.
While I read STILL I felt how impervious their love was. It showed in their words and actions. No matter how broken or vulnerable they both were they persevered because of their unconditional love and theirs was truly epic.
Kennedy Ryan penetrated my soul with STILL. Her flawless and poetic prose kept me spellbound. Her narrative is strong, powerful and with STILL Ryan captures and explores clearly what’s current in the world today, questions it and brings awareness to it with authenticity.
How she intertwined those topics into Grip and Bristol’s story was executed effortlessly.
STILL left me content and very satisfied. I had my own hopes and dreams for Grip and Bristol and Kennedy Ryan delivered. I’m saying goodbye to them with my heart and soul filled with love and joy. What a journey since Soul. They will definitely not be forgotten.
5+ BadAssDirtyPrettyBirdStars
I usually don’t have a difficult time writing a review for a book that I’ve read…..but other books weren’t this one. Kennedy Ryan truly created a work of art with Still. You can tell that every ounce of her heart & soul went into making sure that Grip & Bristol’s story was done in a way that truly honored the characters and how we have come to know them. When I first finished Grip, I wanted more of #gripstol, yet I wasn’t sure how Kennedy could top that story. And with Still, she knocked it out of the park. There is so much emotion in this story – you will laugh, cry, and cry some more…..but there is absolutely nothing that I would change about Still. I fell more in love with Grip, and I fell more in love with Bristol…..and with them as a couple. They truly represent what true, unconditional love is all about. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this book, as it was that phenomenal. Thank you Kennedy for creating these characters and sharing them with all of us. Grip & Bristol will always hold a special place in my heart.
Let me just say I’ve never been a reviewer with a lot of words but for Still I want to be. I want to convey how special and relevant this story is. I want to emphasize that Still along with Flow and Grip are must reads. Yet here I am trying to say all the things I want to say and at a loss as to where to begin. My meager words not enough to tell you how phenomenal this book is. Still is the conclusion to a series that every reader wants in a love story and more. Still is an emotional, thought-provoking, beautiful book. It’s an epic love between two people that feel as real to me as the writer herself. Kennedy Ryan takes us into the world of Grip and Bristol. She gives us two characters that we want to know and be a part of. She gives us love, loss, family, friendship, sacrifice and acceptance. It’s beyond a 5 Star read.
How can I attempt to put into words the magnitude of emotion I am feeling right now? Grip and Bristol how excited was I to get MORE of them. This isn’t a just a story this is a journey. The words written on these pages will sear your soul . I’ve been marked #Gripped , yes that’s what I’m calling it. I have laughed I have cried I have been angry . I feel broken. I am very thankful . I loved every single word while some moments I wanted to throw my kindle and drink myself into a stupor I can’t wait to read this all over again! Bristol and Grip are remarkable, and my words can’t do them their love or story justice. The Poetic Beauty in Kennedy Ryan’s writing is something that everyone needs to experience you must it’s unbelievable. This was such an inspiring series it needs to read by all!
Phenomenal, gritty, raw, relevant and poetic. An amazing story everyone should read. Breathtaking and heartbreaking, a book everyone should experience…. open your minds and hearts and take in this beautiful yet devastating journey. This Gripping read will stay with you, “Always, Evermore, Even after, Still”
I was so happy to have this book when I was done with Grip. If I had to wait another moment to keep reading their story I was going to be so sad. But then I had to face life and I had to wait AN ENTIRE WEEK to get to finish it. That was so torturous!! But I know myself, and I know that if I had not finished it in one sitting I would have been hurting myself.
Part One – These two are just so amazing. To see how they handle hard situations, it’s amazing. When Grip was going to have to leave, I had no doubt Bristol would follow. The hardships these two went through throughout this part of the book were unimaginable. Being a mixed raced couple isn’t that “unheard of” these days, but for these two it meant a lot. Their love for each other would be enough to out-weigh any opinion or thought of racism; of what “should” or “shouldn’t be” with their relationship. They laid down the rules for what people should thing.
That was just so refreshing!!! I love that these two fought for their relationship, not just with their family, but with the public. They let people know that the color of their skin is just that, just a color. And their love throughout this just got stronger! They fought together and loved together. Their love is just so amazing.
Part Two – I love that this book has two parts. I think it makes it so much more special. Also, it really needed two parts, because it was like two phases in their life. The first phase, getting to the point where their love has helped them grow. Then the second phase, testing that love. This is the part where I cried on end. The love these two have is just so beautiful. Through vows and trying times, they made it all just so beautiful! They make me want this love so hard, more so than any other book I’ve ever read.
To go through everything they went through in the book, and still come out of it alive at the end? That is the TRUEST test to love, and they passed with flying colors. The emotions I felt during this book were just indescribable. There was so much love, joy, heart ache, agony, and so many more things than I just can’t explain. These two broke me, as they were broken, but then they helped me get put back together with their own love.
Kennedy Ryan is just a genius. She’s an evil genius, kind of like a Jackal and Hyde. She knows just how to bring us down to the lowest to low, but then knows how to bring us back up. There were so many tears (like 30 min at least) for so many reasons. For angry reasons, happy reasons, sad reasons. Every emotion was felt to the fullest degree, and that is what I love most in a book. I love when I can be pulled under like that. It was so magical.
