In Lisa Genova’s extraordinary New York Times bestselling novel, an accomplished woman slowly loses her thoughts and memories to Alzheimer’s disease—only to discover that each day brings a new way of living and loving. Now a major motion picture starring Julianne Moore, Alec Baldwin, Kate Bosworth, and Kristen Stewart!Alice Howland, happily married with three grown children and a house on the … a house on the Cape, is a celebrated Harvard professor at the height of her career when she notices a forgetfulness creeping into her life. As confusion starts to cloud her thinking and her memory begins to fail her, she receives a devastating diagnosis: early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Fiercely independent, Alice struggles to maintain her lifestyle and live in the moment, even as her sense of self is being stripped away. In turns heartbreaking, inspiring, and terrifying, Still Alice captures in remarkable detail what it’s like to literally lose your mind…
Reminiscent of A Beautiful Mind, Ordinary People, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Still Alice packs a powerful emotional punch and marks the arrival of a strong new voice in fiction.

What a poignant look at the toll Alzheimer’s can take on a person and a family! Despite the difficult topic, the book was a good read. I was taken in by the characters and really felt for their situation. I learned a lot, too!
Great 5 star book.
The book ended too suddenly and I was left with a what happens next feeling. Otherwise a great thought provoking read.
A friend dropped by my office and suggested this book to read, Still Alice. OK, why? It’s your name, aren’t you curious? So I got it and read it. Then I went to my friend’s office and asked her again, why did you want me to read this book? However, this time I was biting each word in anger.
Yes, I felt threatened and scared. This is not a quick …
Great read. This book feels real and heartfelt. The tragedy of this disease and it’s devistation of the loved ones that surrounds them is sad but also heart warming.
Terrific writer. Not my kind of read though. Maybe too close to home.
I learned a lot.
Bittersweet as a brilliant woman and her family come to terms with an unavoidable fate worse than death.
This should be required reading for junior high students and again for seniors. It’s that good. It’s that powerful. Dementia affects everyone. Everyone should read it.
This book gives you a glimpse into the world of someone dealing with this tragic disease.
The thing I loved the most about Still Alice was that there was no hype, no overdone drama, no protagonist-creating-problems-for-herself-by-keeping-ridiculous-secrets nonsense. Nothing but the candid, unapologetic and all-too-compelling chronicling of a person taking that horrible walk in the shoes none of us wants to find ourselves wearing.

This was a great book about the mind of a person with Alzheimer’s from the first symptoms to the end.
This book is a must for anyone who is dealing with someone suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Our book club read this. It is unforgettable. It gave me such an understanding of Alzheimer disease. It was very sobering.
This book gave me so much insight to what it must be like to be my mother
Really have a face to the personal and familial pain of Alzheimer’s.
Huge fan of Lisa Genova – her books just keep getting better and better. This was the first and luckily they keep coming.
This is a book about a woman’s experience as early onset Alzheimer’s disease affects her and her family. Well written, realistic and heartwarming in spite of the tragic situation.
A realistic story about living with AlZheimer’s. An incredible story.
Great read.
