Wow I don’t think their is enough stars for this book. This book starts a couple of weeks later of the last book. This book is just as amazing as the first book.. This book will keep you turning the pages and loving the words and how they expressed interest.. this is a must read series.. but read the first book first as you will understand this book better..
“Everyday needs to begin and end with you”
This series keeps getting better! I am in love with Alexander’s character. For a man with such a dark past and dark tendencies, deep down he is loving and tender. The heartbreak he experiences at the beginning of this book from his break up with Krystina and how hard he works to win her back are incredible pieces to his character!
In book two, Alexander’s and Krystina’s difficult pasts both make a reappearance in a way that you won’t expect. There will also be a fallout that you won’t see coming! This book will make you happy, sad, and every thing in between. There is also plenty of steam between Alexander and Krystina. These two are hot together! The ending of this book was perfection! It makes me wonder what will come in book 3! There are still plenty of unanswered questions to explore!

I love it when a sequel is just as good or even better than the first.
After the exciting end of the first book I just had to jump into the second book and I’m really happy to say that I love it more than the first.
the characters have definitely grown from the first book and their relationship is soooooo complicated but in a good way.
Well done Dakota!!!
The narrator has grown on me from the first.
I really enjoyed book 2 of Krystina and Alex’s story.
It was a story full of drama.
I can’t wait to read book 3.

Stepping Stone, by Dakota Willink. This book picks up from where the first book leaves off. And as before my opinion is still the same. This book is smoking hot. I mean it’s on fiahhhh!
I’ll give my review and then we can get to the fun stuff and I do mean the fun stuff. Wink, wink. Dakota has a way of telling a story. Man this woman knows how to captivate me where it counts. The book is very easy to read.
There was not a dull moment in the entirety of it. The dialogue and the conversations was very easy to follow. I love that the writer kept the wording simple. The dialogue is plain in any senses of the word. Dakota adds some saucy to her writing that keeps the flames going.
As usual this keeps my attention focused on the scene that I am reading, also this helps me keep my flow in the book. I’ll use this as a comparison. Don’t you just hate when your in your zen moment while reading and it’s getting really good. Then someone comes along and disrupts that climatic moment? Yeah! I didn’t get that with Dakota’s writing in this book.
There are some old and new characters to the story. They all seem to fit perfectly to Krystina and Alexander’s romance story, while bringing a hurricane in their wake. I found this book to be a definite page turner. I was very impressed with how each chapter quickly picked up to the next moment of the story. I found the book “very” entertaining and I mean “very”. I feel that the writer focused on the realistic aspects of the story.
I believe this is what made it so easy for me to attach myself to the book and enjoy it even more. There are some twisted and unpredictable situations that arises in the book. Those situations had me a little shocked. I had a somewhat of a,“what the hell” moment and a, “which position would you like me to lay down on the bed like Alex, sir”? There is a little action, but just enough to provide a lot of excitement to the story. The drama is at a all time high, it’s intense, but not over the top. I loved that the characters are not the ones that go crying in the night. They faced their challenges. Took those challenges by the horns and rode those bulls. “That’s right, kick their butt Alex”! Throw a few extra kicks in there for me too.
Now to the fun stuff. Kristina and Alex’s love affair I feel was so very swoon worthy. Oh my, these characters had the pages of the book going up in flames! Alex, character is so dominant and jealous. As I continued to read, he had me melting for him.
The mans body description had me imaging a hot sexy man with a butt that wouldn’t quit, among some other male anatomy parts that got me hot behind the ears just thinking about. Wha… what happened? I blacked out there for minute. I’m coming around. Whew!
So I was saying. Alex, and Krystina love affair gets very kinky in the bedroom. Who will be the dominant and who will be the submissive? This question has me so excited about reading this series. All the different challenges that Krystina and Alex has gone through made me a watering pot while reading this book.
My fellow readers, here me. Read this book! I recommend this book with two snaps, a double twist in honor of Alexander Stone. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!
This is the second installment in a trilogy of books telling the story of Krystina and Alexander. You must read the first book to truly understand what is going on. This book picks up 2 weeks after the couple breaks things off, both of them left feeling lost and empty. These two deeply flawed characters continue to navigate their relationship with each other as they cope with painful pasts. Alex is open with his reasons for needing to dominate, but Krystina is unsure she can truly submit given her past relationship.
Although this is a BDSM romance, the story is more about the couple learning to love and trust again. Of the two characters, Alex is much more eager to commit and is sweet and doting. Will Krystina let down her guard and commit to him equally? Will their romance have a happy ending?

The story of Alexander and Krystina continues in this book. It picks up where the first one ended, with both of them in limbo after Krystina left. They are both learning much about themselves and the other and also about making compromises. But Alex will always want to be in control of the situation and even with his best intentions of keeping her safe he was not upfront with information which left her vulnerable and he will not forgive himself if it leads to her getting hurt. But their connection is so strong, keeping them together and they learn that sometimes your future is written in the stars. I am looking forward to the conclusion of their story.

If you have read the first one you can do nothing but read this one also. Krystina and Alexander continue in this with us once again stuck to the pages. They are each others kryptonite. Secrets also are coming to the surface. It also is what happens when the heart takes over the actions but that makes for some intense reading. Caution is also still in the forefront of this. They are also confronted with suspense and we see how it is handled. This romance has a way of ironing itself in a way that is not expected.
I have to admit, I found this book better than the first. It was written more exciting and compelling.
Here, too, the two main characters convinced me again. The two are described well and credibly. It was a lot of fun reading the book and now of course I want to know how it goes with both of them …

The journey continues with Alex and Krystina. This book was a rollercoaster ride with lots of ups and downs. Krystina left Alexander because she questions whether the relationship is good for her or not. For them to rekindle their relationship, Alex’s secret is revealed for Krystina to start trusting Alex. She finds out the secret that Alex has been hiding and tries to reassure that whatever happened wasn’t his fault. When their past collides, danger will be right in front of them.
Overall I really enjoyed the story. There are hurdles that both Alex and Krystina must jump through to get their relationship going. Alex needs to have more trust in Krystina and not need to keep everything to himself, while Krystina is having to deal with Alex’s need to control every aspect in her life. When they finally jumped through the hurdles, their love for each other is beyond anything they have experienced.

Two people who in book one definitively said because of their pasts, that they did not want a relationship are now both falling in love. In this fast paced second book, not only a relationship develops but Krystina and Alex fall in love. Secrets might have destroyed them but they are able to move past them and help one another move beyond the horrors of their pasts. However, some of that past comes back to haunt them and an almost tragic series of events unfurls. Their is a very lovely HFN ending but their story is not done and there is still more to be discovered and resolved. I loved this book and highly recommend this series.
Stepping Stone is the second installment in The Stone Series which focuses on the continuing relationship of Krystina/Krys and Alexander. During this book, Alexander finds he must be honest with Krys about his past. This book is a great addition to this series. The plot reflects their turbulent relationship and steamy passion. The final book in this series is entitled Set In Stone.

A great follow up to the previous book in the series. The characters are known so it was easy to get lost in their drama from the start. I liked how the characters evolved and that the relationship seemed to be a possibility once again. I enjoyed this book.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
Stepping Stone picks up where Heart of Stone left off. Keys has left Alex and he realizes he can’t do without her. Krys is trying to find her own way. Krys and Alex meet again, both realise they need to be honest with themselves and each other. Wonderful character development, great writing and excellent plot. I couldn’t wait for the final book in this series and downloaded it straight away. This is a must read.

Mind blowing
Of course, the two couldn’t stay apart for long … That much was already clear at the beginning of the book … Summarized in three sentences: They get together again, Krystina tries to emancipate herself professionally and in her life but is learning at the same time to submit herself sexually to Alexander. Alexander opens up to Krystina and tells of his terrible childhood and that too gives him some peace and he realizes that he is in love with Krystina. Now you would think that everything is fine and that it is a typical HEA. Far wrong, the tension caused by Alexander’s ex-brother-in-law Charlie, who blackmailed him and his sister by trying to make their childhood secrets public, and Trevor, Krystina’s ex-boyfriend and rapist, reappear and the tension intensifies …
I won’t reveal anything further. Just this much: it is wonderfully rousing, the sex scenes are really hot and the main characters are very convincing.

This is about Krys and Alex. This is a continuation of Heart of Stone. They finally get back together when Alex has a chance to help her out. They talk and he confides in her about his past and why he has to be dominate. These are great characters and it is fabulously written. This is an Outstanding book.

WOW! what a page turner with twist and turns around every page! Dakota does a phenomenal job at driving this story. She sets it up for us to get the most valued experience she can offer us the reader! This is one of the best series I have read and I have only read 2 books in this series! It makes me wonder what she has up her sleeve for the next book! It is riveting with a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Stepping Stone (The Stone Series Book Two) by Dakota Willink. This is a continuation of Krystina and Alexander’s journey. This dark romance kept me on the edge of my seat while the author’s storytelling and attention to detail kept me vested in characters and outcome of story. It’s raw, it’s gritty, it’s full of drama, strong tormented characters, suspense, and steamy passion. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
