Libby’s new job as a reporter for the Daily Chronicle is proving quite challenging for the following reasons: Number 1: Her mentor, Dave Chandler, likes to run everywhere which means she has to do the same. Her Karen Millens are already ruined and her new Kurt Geigers are heading the same way. Everyone else gets to take taxis or the Tube. Surely that counts as discrimination or something?Number … something?
Number 2: None of the girls in the news room seem to like her—even though they’ve never even met her! It’s just plain rude—and very hurtful!
And Number 3: Dave Chandler is a bit odd—and that’s without the running thing. He’s very proud of all his trophies and awards but won’t help Libby get any. He won’t divulge who his contacts are—although some of them sound a bit iffy—and he keeps sneaking off without her despite the fact she’s supposed to be shadowing him.
Cassie Beaumont, her bestie and flatmate, is doing really well in her new job, which only makes Libby feel worse about her own. Cassie and Rob are also really close, which is how Libby wants to be with James Harper—she fancies the pants off him— but he seems very distracted.
She realises it’s time for sorting out her life and stepping it up—in more ways than one!

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is a must read! It’s the second book in The Liberty Lawrence series, it’s my first book by this author, so I can honestly say it can be read out of order as I easily jumped right in to this one with no confusion. I absolutely loved this book from beginning until the very end. It was highly entertaining, funny, captivating, relatable and the storyline flowed so well. There always seemed to be so much going on and I ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down!
I will certainly be on the lookout for book 3 and I look forward to reading the rest of this authors work in the future. I would definitely recommend this book to others!

Oh how I wish I had read the first in this series, not because I was lost at all in this book but because I have fallen head over heels in love with Libby LOL This is my first read by this author and I absolutely positively loved it!! There was something about the first few pages that had me completely hooked to this story and I will be going back to read the first especially knowing there is a third coming soon, and thank goodness for that because the ending of this one had me totally frustrated, probably not as frustrated as poor Libby though LOL
This was awesome, I loved the constant action in this book, there was never a dull moment and there was more than one occasion I thought I had things figured out and of course was totally off base. I loved how everything happened and I especially loved the way Libby handled her work situation towards the end, although not sure how all that will play out and what about her relationship with James…So so many questions and I can not wait for the next in this series.
This author writes an amazing story, and it was so much fun to read, and I can almost see all of this playing out on a tv show and even have some ideas of who would play who. I can’t say enough good things about this book and this author..
Loved It!!!!!
This is my second read by this author and i liked it just as much as the first book. Its funny and lighthearted and just a breath of fresh air in the mix of books I’ve read lately. This is the second book in The Liberty Lawrence series but it can be read as a standalone. With that being said, i would suggest reading them in order because there are characters that you are introduced to in the first book that are also in this one. PLUS it is also a good read.
Libby just recently started a job as a reporter but man is her boss Dave a floozy. He runs around like a chicken with its head cut off and often lives her hanging without a word and he doesn’t treat her well either. When life get tough she has to decide if the course she is on is worth it or if she should step it up and move in a different direction.
I enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more by this author.
I would recommend this book to a friend!
Happy Reading! <3
Stepping It Up is book two in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. Even though this is the first book I have read by this author, and I have missed book one, I have read nothing but good feedback on this series, and knew I would enjoy it regardless of what order I read the books.
Libby is a reporter with a sassy, quirky outlook on life. She feels a bit isolated in her new job, and is having trouble connecting with colleagues and superiors. This story shines a light on so many dilemmas, being starting a new job, trying to make a good impression on the bosses, finding love, and so much more. I had many moments of laughter, frustration on behalf of Libby, contentment, astonishment. I was constantly impressed, speechless and out of breath. Never did the author give me a moment without something dramatic to read. A never ending plethora of pleasure. 4 stars.
Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence series .The trials and tribulations of Libby continues in this fun book. She is now working as a reporter for the Daily Chronicle but is having a hard time getting into the system at work. Her boss runs everywhere and she is not feeling very welcome.
I am glad to read about Libby again. She is full of fashion and has a habit of falling into odd situations. This is a fun read that had me laughing at the exploits. This can be read as a standalone but trust me start with book one to get the back story of the characters. The characters are more developed in this book and have all grown on me. Also, the story flows and moves quickly. This is a great read to get away from the everyday. I look forward to more Liberty Lawrence in the future.
Stepping it Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series book two) By Bea Stevens
4 STars!!!!
I just found myself getting lost in this book. I couldn’t put it down. I found the author’s writing style to be quite addictive. I really found the characters to be realistic and relatable. I really found myself routing for Libby. I really enjoyed how the author was able to entwine enough drama and just a hint of romance to keep you glued to the pages.
I like how Libby is down to earth and how her character feels real. The drama that unfolds in the book just adds to it and keeps the reader interested. I also like how Libby and James have their ups and downs and how they really pull out of them and seem to grow stronger. I was a bit anxious when it came to James’ ex but it seems that even that drama couldn’t bring them down. I will definitely be reading more from this author and hopefully this series.
Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens
The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
The second book in the Liberty Lawrence series is just as great as the first book. This book can be read as a stand alone but, I think it’s better to read the first one too, to get the background of some of the characters like Tom, Cassie and James.
In this book it seems that Libby is in all sorts of trouble and is getting the blame for everything that happens. She is now working for the paper and is going after stories with her partner Dave. She can’t stand working in the department she is in because there are some snotty girls and then Dave she has to deal with, the only bright side, she gets to be near her friend Tom. Libby still overthinks everything, as she usually does, and gets into trouble more than a couple times with jumping to the wrong conclusions.
When she meets James’ ex-wife Suzanne things start looking grim for her future relationship with him. There is a nice loud argument between Suzanne and Libby at a gala that turns things from bad to worse and, it seems Suzanne will be sticking around because she is trying to sell her and James’ house, but she doesn’t realize she is being conned. James has to spend a lot of his money and time on this case and it is wearing on his relationship with Libby.
James’ ex wife Suzanne is a real piece of work and some of the things she says or thinks she is owed makes me want to slap her. I can definitely understand Libby’s frustration with the situation, but also I am confused why it is taking so long for James and Libby to push forward with their relationship. I loved this second installment and have a feeling there will be a third, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with this hot mess they are all in!
What can I say, I fell madly in love with this series from the get go. Liberty is one of those characters that is completely relatable and you have no choice but to love her on site.
Her new job is a reporter and unfortunately its not all cracked up to what she thought. Chandler, the guy she’s supposed to shadow runs everywhere which prove to be rough on her shoes. Not only that, but he sneaks off without her. The girls in the office don’t necessarily like her plus she crushes on doesn’t seem to notice her.
These book are seriously addicting and completely relatable. I’m impatiently tapping my foot for book 3!
Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2) by Bea Stevens was a fun light hearted read that was both entertaining and a little bit crazy.
Picking up close to where the last book left off, we follow Libby once again on her mischievous adventures and her quirky way of navigating life. This time she’s at a new job, trying to workout a new relationship and trying not to get caught in anything that might get her caught up into something messy like in the first book.
Like the first book, the writing is solid, the flow smooth and the tone matched the atmosphere. I found that Libby had more character development in this book, and I actually enjoyed her character even more. Sure there are some predictable moments, but nothing that made me like this book less. As this is book two I do suggest reading the first book, as there is needed background and character intros that will help guide you in this read.
Overall I had a time reading this book, it was a perfect weekend read that left me all happy and fuzzy on the inside. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall in love with this quirky rom-com.
Happy Reading

Stepping It Up, The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2 by Bea Stevens
5-Stars
Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second novel in a series following the life of Liberty Lawrence. This novel continues the story from the first book and I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. She starts a new career in this novel and it was wonderful following her as she adjusts to her new position and also to her new romance with James. There were many surprises in this novel for her. I love her character. She is fun, caring, practical, and funny. Some of her comments had me laughing out loud. This was such a sweet easy romance to read and get lost in as well as having a little mystery in it. I look forward to following this character I. This series and reading more from this author.

After thoroughly enjoying the first book in this series I was really looking forward to reading book 2 and I absolutely loved every second of it! I thought it was just as well written and the story was great. I was hooked from the very first page and was completely swept up in the authors writing.
I still absolutely love Libby; she is such a funny and genuine character to read about. I love that she still had her obsession with shoes and fashion. Again she provided a lot of entertaining moments and I really do think the author has created a wonderful character – this is one of those books I can imagine being made into a really enjoyable chick flick!
I am so excited for book 3 I cannot wait to read more about Libby and her entertaining life!!
Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens a four-star read that will twirl you round. This is the second novel in the Liberty Lawrence series and its just as if not more charming and funny as the first one in the series, I would recommend you read them in order as you do get to meet a lot of characters and you get the most when you read them all, the underlying nuances that you may otherwise miss. Libby is so much fun, I don’t identify with her in many ways apart from the clumsiness and the shoes. Its light hearted and witty and overall very fun, she tells a great story and one you will enjoy.
Stepping It Up is Book 2 in the Liberty Lawrence Series, but can totally be read as a stand-alone but to be honest with how enjoyable this book is you wouldn’t want to skip book 1.
This is a such a fun, Light-hearted romantic comedy read you can’t help but be intrigued and captivated with this read.
I absolutely loved Libby second time round, she seems even more relatable and lovable. This book is a feel-good read that is funny, captivating and utterly brilliant from start to finish. Bea Stevens has created such a wonderfully written book that flows, has incredible characters and a plot that is great throughout.
I can’t wait to see what other journeys this author takes us on, this is a read not to be missed!
Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series book 2) by Bea Stevens follows the ups and downs of Liberty Lawrence and the fact she has a new job and the quirky way she goes through life.
This is a wonderful quirky, fun, light hearted book revolving around the day to day life of Liberty with her new mentor Dave Chandler, the only problem is that Dave does not take the easy route anywhere, he runs everywhere and when you have an expensive shoe addiction it can become a problem when she is ruining a pair a day. The other issue is he tries to ditch her when ever he can.
Plus, she is not really fitting in at the office and the other women dislike her which causes her some concern, with her best friend currently got her life in order, so Liberty decides to start Stepping it up.
I enjoyed the light heart nature of this story and the characters within the story give a flavour that is quirky and sassy. Liberty’s character is complimentary opposite to Dave’s with the twists of the story is brilliant. This can be read as a standalone story but the first book did lay the foundations to some of the characters which pop up in this book but as I said its not necessary.
This is a great relaxing, sit back and enjoy kind of book and I recommend to anyone who just like to read a quirky funny laid back book.
Stepping It Up was a good 4 star read and book #2 in the Liberty Lawrence Series.
Libby has just recently started her job as a reporter, she has a great personality and she loves her clothes and shoes. She is working with Dave who is very challenging to her. At times he will disappear on her without a trace and treat her poorly.
When her job isn’t what she is expecting and her love interest doesn’t seem to be interested in her Libby ends up making a decision to makes some changes in her life.
Will she be successful in her changes? Can she finally find love?
This is my first read from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked all of the characters. We get romance, mystery and so much more. I had some lol moments during the read as well. This book can be read as a stand alone, I plan on going back to book one so I can get to know all of the characters better. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2)
By Bea Stevens
This is the second book in this series and can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading book 1 first so you have some background on some of the characters and also a better foundation. In this story Libby has found a new job as an investigative reporter and as excited as she is for this opportunity, it seems it’s not going quite as smoothly as she hoped. Libby is a smart, witty, and fun loving woman. For the most part this is a very lighthearted story that is also very entertaining. I enjoyed watching Libby find herself in tough but sometimes laughable situations and seeing what she does to get through said situation. She also has a thing for high fashion and shoes (my kind of girl except I can only admire from afar). I really love her character, she is very relatable and so much fun to read about. I enjoyed getting to know some of the characters in this story as well. My opinion is that this is an all around really good book and I plan on reading more from this author!!
Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) By Bea Stevens. While this is book two I read it as a standalone without any problem but I’m definitely going back to read book one! Because this book had me completely hooked from page one. This is my first book by this author and I’m so happy I found these books. I was constantly on my toes with the fun story, never a dull moment with a character like Libby around. She’s everything I love in female leads. The author does a wonderful job of making a story that entertains and sticks with you well after you finish. It’s well written with amazing characters. It’s paced well, never felt rushed or lacking anything. Nice fun read that I’m giving a five star review!
Stepping It Up: The Liberty Lawrence Series Book Two, by Bea Stevens. This is a new to me author and I was so excited to read this book. This is the second book in the series but the first book for me by this author and also this series. From reading the blurb, I knew that I was going to like it. It was very cute and funny. I absolutely loved Libby her quirkiness and of course her obsession with shoes. This was a pretty easy and fast read for me and I look forward to much more by this author.
Stepping it Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2)
By Bea Lawrence
Rated 5 stars
Being Liberty (Libby) Lawrence has different levels of difficulty depending on the day. She has a nice job as a investigating reporter. She is observant and astute which are perfect for a reporter. But even though she likes it and seems good at it her fellow workers and not fans of hers. She has a lovely boyfriend (not sure I should call him that) who has a boat load of problems that seem to compound when Libby is involved or around. Believe it or not she treats all of this with an upbeat desire to look on the bright side….until she can’t see that side anymore. Libby has a great sense of humor and is kind…to just about everyone. She does have a big desire for name brand clothes and shoes. How she spends that much money on her attire is beyond me. Libby has a nice clan of friends that help her along and add some humor to the story. Well not that Libby doesn’t add on her own. Did I mention the “Pothole Incident”? Well it made me laugh. HA HA! That wouldn’t happen to anyone but Libby.
I wasn’t sure of James and Libby’s status at the beginning. She seemed all in but he wasn’t. As the story wore on i could see a change in James. Until “IT” happened. Then James had me in a bit of a snit. He, in typical man fashion, did not realize he embarrassed Libby. Later he totally redeemed himself in my eyes. I coined him a favorite guy after that because I truly could feel that he meant all the compliments he gave to Libby.
This author does a grand job on writing this story. There are multiple parts and stories but she seems to somehow tie them together. The writing is very engaging and kept me entertained. The characters were interesting and the secondary ones didn’t overshadow the main character. This is my first book by this author and of this series. It is very enjoyable and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another story from her.
Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens
Four Stars
Stepping It Up is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence Series by Bea Stevens. This funny story is very entertaining and the characters are easy to connect with. This story can be read as a stand alone, and I say that because it is the first book I have read by this author. I will go back and read the first book in this series because I really enjoyed Ms. Stevens writing style.
Libby is such a fun loving character, I don’t know how anyone could not relate to the the thing happening in her life. I love when a book makes me laugh out loud, and this book filled that bill. The witty banter had me staying up late into the night just to see what would happen next. This is a truly delightful book that I highly recommend. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
