Stephen Colbert is far more than a comedian and improv genius. As head of his fanciful Colbert Nation, the quick-witted host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report has delighted fans with his wit, audacity, and innovative uses of language and the media. In this biography, award-winning journalist Bruce Watson, author of Jon Stewart: Beyond the Moments of Zen, charts Colbert’s rise from boyhood … rise from boyhood tragedy to “greatest living cultural/media critic.”

I didn’t really learn anything new about Stephen Colbert and it wasn’t very funny. Just a boring account of his life.
My dream is to someday visit the Steven Colbert-late night show. This book was easy to read, I learned so much I did not know about Mr. Colbert. Sounds like a fine human being and gentleman. Joyce Krouse
I enjoyed reading this and felt it made good sense of Colbert’s life. I didn’t give it five stars because while it is certainly good enough, it wasn’t brilliant.
Loved this book. Stephen Colbert is so funny, and I think a very fine person. It was great to read about his background. VJH
I’m afraid Mr Colbert has become too political for my taste. I won’t be reading any more of his book
Stephen Colbert is my all time favorite of all talk show hosts and I’m going all the way back to Dave Garroway and Steve Allen. Gosh I’m old! Sharp, witty, charming, he’s the real thing. Love him, love his book.
A very short biography of Stephen but informative nonetheless.
Didn’t think much of it! Sad!
Stephen always makes me laugh but also think. A great combination!
Sharply insightful while still being witty. Classic Colbert.
