Three complete novels: “One for the Money,” “Two for the Dough,” and “Three to Get Deadly,” from the “New York Times” #1 bestselling author, Janet Evanovich Here’s where it all began–the three novels that first brought us Stephanie Plum, that bounty hunter with attitude who stepped out of Trenton’s blue-collar “burg” and into the heart of America. “One for the Money” Stephanie’s all grown up and … grown up and out on her own, living five miles from Mom and Dad and doing her best to sever the world’s longest umbilical cord. Her mother is a meddler and her grandmother is a few cans short of a case. Out of work and out of money, Stephanie blackmails her bail-bondsman cousin Vinnie into giving her a try as an apprehension agent. Stephanie knows zilch about the job requirements, but she figures her new pal, el-primo bounty hunter Ranger, can teach her what it takes to catch a crook. Her first assignment: nail Joe Morelli, a former vice cop on the run from a charge of murder one. Morelli’s the inamorato who charmed Stephanie out of her virginity at age sixteen. There’s still powerful chemistry between them, so the chase is interesting.
“Two for the Dough” Stephanie takes to the mean streets of Trenton, armed with attitude (not to mention stun guns and defense sprays), to find Kenny Mancuso, who recently shot his best friend and is on the run. Aided by the enigmatic Ranger, who knows a thing or two about bounty hunting, and by her irrepressible Grandma Mazur, Stephanie forms a shaky alliance with her favorite cop, Joe Morelli, for a tumultuous chase through back alleys and Grandma’s favorite funeral parlors.
“Three to Get Deadly” Stephanie is having a bad hair day–for the whole month of January. She’s looking for Mo Bedemier, Trenton’s most beloved citizen, who was charged with carrying concealed and skipped bail. To help her, she’s got Lula, a former hooker turned file clerk. Big, blonde, and black, Lula’s itching to lock up a crook in the trunk of her car. And Morelli, the cop with the slow-burning smile, is acting polite even after Stephanie finds more bodies than the Trenton PD has seen in years. That’s a bad sign for sure.
Funny and fabulous, Janet Evanovich is at her sparkling best in these three novels that launched a bestselling phenomenon.

Janet Evanovich is my go to author anytime someone asks for a book recommendation without telling me which genre they prefer to read. Her books are laugh out loud funny! Any time I need a something fun and to read I pick up this series. Stephanie and friends have the messed up type of life that makes mine feel normal. I love the mystery and mayhem that these stories are full of!
Very woman should read at least some of the Stephanie Plum books and its great to start at the beginning to get feel for the characters. And they are characters!
I love Stephanie Plum and Lula!
Fun read.
Janet Evanovich’s wise-cracking bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum, has plenty of nerve which gets her into lots of interesting situations with bail jumpers and her two sometime lovers/knights errant. Lots of action and laughs.
Love the characters, laugh out loud, page turner.
I love these books
I’m so addicted to this series. They’re laugh out loud funny, sometimes ludicrous, but always a good read. You honestly can’t go wrong reading the adventures of Stephanie Plum and her posse as an amature bounty hunter.
I loved this series till she got to the teens and they seemed to get stale.
I have read everyone of her books and enjoyed them all. Her sense of humor and the predicaments her characters get themselves into make you laugh because they are not so far fetched that you can’t see yourself in the same situation (not all of them, but many).
Laugh out loud funny!
Ah, the early days of Stephanie Plum, were such a delight. The incompetent Stephanie and her cast of supporting characters are a hoot. A great way to entertain yourself during a flight.
Wonderful introduction to J and E
Love them. Can’t wait for 26.
Very funny books. Stephanie Plum is someone I could be friends with. And the situations are so crazy and hilarious. You will laugh out loud reading this series.
It’s Janet Evanovich, what more can you say. A master at her craft of writing goofy characters, crazy plots but they all work.
I started with One. Shared with my friends with each new book. Even my male friends like her.
The first three books of a great series.
Stephanie Plum is my release from all that is staid and boring. Never a dull moment. After 25 of these adventures with SP my husband knows what I’m reading when I break out in laughter while reading. Keep em coming Janet.
Laugh out loud funny!
