Our arrangement was simple—just physical and definitely no falling in love. That seemed easy enough until a positive pregnancy test changed everything. He’s loud, crude, sexy, and can cook and he’s bound and determined to make me his, but I’ve been burned before and if I let him in, and things don’t work out for us, well, it’s more than just my heart on the line. Can I push past my issues to open … issues to open my heart to that big beautiful man? As we navigate this unfamiliar terrain his enthusiasm begins to knock down the walls I’ve always kept around me, but we keep hitting obstacles that could ruin everything we’re trying to build.
Am I strong enough to battle my own demons to move forward to a future that could promise to be everything I could’ve hoped for?

Stencil is the second book in the Sugar and Spice, Ink and this is Sierra and Nick’s story. If you read Realism, you have seen these two as side characters but this is all them and every word of it had me hooked!
I loved these characters and it was a breathe of fresh air for Sierra to stay so strong for so long. But at the same time I absolutely loved how Nick was so sweet and always seemed to do the right thing. I couldn’t help but root for these two from the beginning.
This book can be read as a standalone but I am loving this series and can’t recommend it enough!!
Sierra did not plan on getting pregnant, especially with her no strings attached lover Nick. What she does not expect is for Nick to be on board and want to take their relationship to the next level. The only hurdle in their path though is Sierra and the insecurity she still carries from her past. Can Sierra move past it or will she continue to see Nick as another person who will let her down?
I liked this, I think Nick was head over heels in love with Sierra but because her walls were up it was hard for him to go full in initially. I liked Sierra a lot, a times got a bit frustrated with her but she was feeling vulnerable. Anxious for the next book, certainly a lot of bread crumbs to peak your interest for it. Great read.
WOW!!! These characters are so wonderful to read. Sierra & Nick are hooking up, no falling in love, just $ex. Yeah right, like nothing is going to happen…..Yes it’s a cliche, but beautifully written hookup to lovers romance. I loved how Nick is to Sierra, it made my heart swoon! This book was low angst, sweet, hot & wow the chemistry was so well written. I wasn’t ready for this story to end, but the intriguing look into the next book in this series keeps me no so patiently waiting for more. These strong, sassy, stubborn woman from Sugar & Spice Ink have me wishing I was part of their world.
I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
With this being the second book in the series i couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Evan has done it again i love her writing, the flow of the book was at a good pace and i loved every minute of it. Her books for me bring out all the feelings in the world, what should have started out with friends with benefits soon changed for Sierra and Nick, both have the chemistry between the two that are on the top of the charts, you can see the love starting to form for the two of them, doesn’t mean that they didn’t hit bumps in the road but it’s everything to me when you see that they get their HEA. thank you for another book that I loved.
Sierra and Nick’s story is a good read that will at times make you laugh, smile and want to reach into the book to shake some people. This series is full you characters that you just love and want to get to know more about.
Great story. It only did this story introduce new characters it continued the lives of the characters from the first book. This a must read story that you will find hard to put down.
Nick and Sierra have such great chemistry together even though their relationship is suppose to physical only. Sierra does not do relationships since she was hurt by her ex-finance in college. She found out he was gay in the worst way and then he never attempted to explain. Nick, a very successful business man and every woman wants to be with him. He used to be player until he met Sierra and every time Sierra “broke up” with him, he persuades her to get back together. Nick never considered being with one woman and having a family until he gets some expected news from Sierra. She is pregnant and he is the father. Sierra does not expect anything from Nick even though Nick decides he wants to be with Sierra and the baby.
These two individuals are very independent but also insecure. The things and situations that they have to deal with while trying to have a relationship would drive me crazy. Nick’s family thinks she got pregnant on purchase and looks down on Sierra because she is a tattoo artist and has tattoos on her arms. There’s also a cheerleader on the arena football team that Nick co-owns who has her eyes on Nick and doesn’t care that Sierra is around. It is so good to see how Sierra’s family is so supportive of her situation and would do anything for her.
I enjoyed reading this book about 2 adults who is successful in their own rights so they don’t need anyone to be with them. They want (in Sierra’s case eventually) to be with each other. They have their struggles but in the end, they realize that they do love each other no matter what anyone one thinks.
I absolutely loved stencil one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Sierra and Nick are couple goals… Can’t wait for more of the inked girls…
Book #2 of the Sugar and Spice series brought us Nick and Sierra’s story. Such a fantastic story that left us anxious for more.
I fell in love with Sierra in book one of this series and was really excited to read her story. Nick, while he makes mistakes, is a hot, alpha male who will do anything for Sierra. Love their rollercoaster of a relationship, even though I wanted to smack both of them many times. Will they both finally get their happy ending or will they mess it up all over again? This is one series I definitely recommend and it should be added to everyone’s must read list.
Sugar and definitely spicy!! I loved it!
From the start I knew I was going to love this book, and I hit it in one sitting. Stencil is the standalone book two in the Sugar and Spice Ink series, but I would highly recommend reading book one because it is also a great read and introduces the characters. Evan Grace’s writing style is one that draws me in from the beginning of each book, and the witty repartee between our two main characters, Nick and Sierra kept me delightfully entertained right to the end.
That’s not to say that it is all easy going for them. Nick is absolutely hot and sexy, and knows that his reputation around town about being relationship shy is deserved, but this all changes when he meets Sierra, who is a change from his usual. Factor in his upper class family and another woman who just doesn’t take no for an answer, and Ms Grace has written him into in more trouble with Sierra than any alpha man would be comfortable with! I just loved his character, even when his frustration at Sierra’s reticence about their relationship status drove him to say stupid stuff.
Sierra is the younger sister of Mona from the first book in the series. These strong, independent ladies and their two younger sisters work together in the Sugar and Spice tattoo shop, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of their business. She knows why she’s avoided relationships in the past, and has a sensible head on her shoulders, although the hapless Nick can’t avoid almost losing the most important thing in his life.
I can’t end this review without mentioning the teasing insight into Heidi and Colton kept me on tenterhooks. I love second chances so I am sure as all hell looking forward to their story!! 4.5 Stars!
Stencil is a love story that draws you in and claims your heart. Nick and Sierra have an arrangement, one where love has no place to be. When an unexpected surprise changes the definition of their relationship, feelings will finally be brought to the forefront. Old scars that tattoos can’t even cover rear their ugly head clouding decisions and resulting in bad choices and words said in the heat of the moment. This second book in the Sugar and Spice, Ink series will have you on the edge of your seat and your emotions swaying from heartbreak to heartwarming. Nick will make you swoon and together this pair will set the pages on fire. A passionate read filled with love, revelations and happiness.
This 4 star story was great with a lot of chemistry happening. They sure did connect on the physical part.
I have read Realism so this couple was introduced in that story. Sierra finds herself pregnant with on and off hookup Nick. Now they need to figure things out.
It was a great swoon low key kind of story. Not too much angsts, a great read for a cold day in. I would have enjoyed a lot more twists and turns to keep me hooked 100%. It was the kind of story that I already knew what was going to happen .
Since this is the second story in a series, I can see that the readers could miss some valuable information on this couple. It’s start with a bang and is fast paced from there. A lot was explained in the Realism book. It sorts of picks up from there.
Second story in the Sugar and Spice, Ink that could be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment, Realism should be read first. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
It felt like I waited forever to get my hands on the second book in the Sugar and Spice, Ink series, but after just finishing the story it was definitely worth the wait.
Sierra & Nick’s relationship was purely based on the physical. It was all Sierra could offer him after a past relationship burned her badly. She does play with his emotions a fair bit in this book, but she is just trying to keep herself from getting hurt again.
So much happens in this book, and if you read the blurb you will know about the surprise pregnancy. Bu there is so much more to this tory that that. Yes it is an integral part of the storyline but it is the way both Nick and Sierra change and grow that makes this book special for me.
Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for the next book!!
Loved this story and the sisters tattoo parlor makes the perfect base. Nick is the eternal playboy and Sierra enjoys her casual relationship with him because she has been hurt before. Nick has wanted more with her but when she is forced to want more with him all of her insecurities show up. Her sisters are right by her side but Nick is the one who forces her to take a look at her life. Love Nick and Sierra together and I am looking forward to book 3.
it was amazing
BAM!!!!
Sugar and Spice Ink is one of my favorite series. The reason? Because it just proves that you cannot judge a book by it’s cover. Sierra’s story was just amazing.
And Nick stole my heart and now own it.
I love that the 4 sister’s own their own tattoo studio, they are covered in ink and are all stunning. But more then that they each have a heart of gold.
Sierra and Nick’s story is a great one. Who knew that a playboy and a commitment phob could change their ways
This was another solid story in this series! Nick and Sierra have chemistry together but do they have what it takes to be together in the long run? Nick surprised me in this book. He was a ladies man who doesn’t want to settle down until Sierra came along. He then became the perfect person to be with Sierra. She, however, doesn’t quite believe he will be there for her. Their story is sweet and hot and definitely worth reading! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This is book 2 in a series and it can stand alone but you really should read book 1 first as that is when the characters are introduced. This is Nick and Sierra’s story. Sierra is a colorful tattoo artist, her ex was gay and she found that out when she caught him with his lover, since then she only has sexual relationships. And that is what she shares with Nick, her sisters boyfriends best friend.
Nick is really into Sierra but she keeps dumping him and he keeps coming back for more and that is what happens when Sierra finds out she is pregnant. Let me tell you my favorite scene in the book is when she confesses this to him. It was so epic.
Nick is a busy fella, he owns 3 restaurants and a football team and he is surounded by temptation. Though he is really into Sierra, Staci a cheerleader is a big problem. #2 is Nick is kinda stupid about putting himself into bad situations.
And Sierra comes with a suitcase of baggage. She has a hard time with trust and that is really what this book is about. Her learning to trust her heart and Nick and Nick learning he needs to not get into bad situations.
I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series and this book was pretty awesome too. I am a new reader of this author and I really love her writing style.
Stencil by Evan Grace
5 Stars
This is the second book in the series and it surely didn’t disappoint!!
Absolutely AMAZING!! I love this!! It is full of emotions! Captivated my interest throughout!
“I honestly wasn’t sure if I even wanted to see you, but I’m at a crossroads right now. The father of this baby is the love of my life, and I couldn’t fully give myself to him because I had a lot of trust issues after what happened between us.”
Very highly recommend!!
Nick was the ultimate swoon worthy book boyfriend. I absolutely loved him and Sierra was the perfect heroine. She knows who she is and doesn’t make apologize for it. I loved that about her. I’m really loving this series and I can’t wait for more from these tattooed sisters.
