Our arrangement was simple—just physical and definitely no falling in love. That seemed easy enough until a positive pregnancy test changed everything. He’s loud, crude, sexy, and can cook and he’s bound and determined to make me his, but I’ve been burned before and if I let him in, and things don’t work out for us, well, it’s more than just my heart on the line. Can I push past my issues to open … issues to open my heart to that big beautiful man? As we navigate this unfamiliar terrain his enthusiasm begins to knock down the walls I’ve always kept around me, but we keep hitting obstacles that could ruin everything we’re trying to build.
Am I strong enough to battle my own demons to move forward to a future that could promise to be everything I could’ve hoped for?

Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I loved diving into Nick and Sierra’s story. Being hurt in a previous relationship has made finding love unobtainable. That is until Nick comes along.
This is the second book in this series and I couldn’t wait for it to come out. We were introduced to Nick and Sierra in the first book and were left with a teaser that had you wishing for more. I loved Nick and Sierra. Nick is hands down the kind of BBF that you long to have in real life. He always places Sierra above everyone else and doesn’t hide how he feels about her. He knows that something happened in her past to hold her back, but he tries to win her heart anyway.
Sierra knows she loves Nick, but is scared he will hurt her so she keeps pushing him away. I understood where she was coming from, but every time she did it I just wanted to yell NO!
I loved this book and honestly could not put it down. I even snuck and read it when I should have been working. 🙂 The author did a great job of creating a story that sucked you in and kept you until the end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what she has in store for us next!!
Really enjoyed Nick and Sierra’s story. This love story was beautiful!!! Neither of them really was looking for love when the found each other. There chemistry was of the charts. I fell in love the characters even more in this book. And enjoy the the mention of future couples. I highly recommend this book.
Really Evan? Seriously?? Can’t decide who I love more. Mona and Joaquin or Sierra and Nick. Oh who am I kidding? I loved them all and if I could’ve reach in the book, Staci would’ve gotten a throat punch. Evan’s words flow so beautifully. I read this book in one sitting? Can’t wait for Heidi’s story.
I absolutely adore this book! Stencil is the second book in the series and it is absolutely fantastic. Evan is brilliant at what she does. She creates a world that’s beautiful and realistic with characters that have depth and flaws.
We met both Nick and Sierra in the first story. We know that they immediately hit it off and have some sort of thing going on. Nick has been known as a player, a womanizer and a manwh*%e…until he laid eyes on Sierra. From that moment on, he knew that she was special, she was worth it and she might just be the one.
Sierra is skittish. She’s immediately attracted to Nick and jumps on the idea of having an “arrangement” with him. On and then off, they go back and forth and she knows she leading him on. It’s hurts though, her past. The scars that still feel so fresh. She was burned, badly and made a fool of and she’s not looking to change that may time soon.
And then there’s two lines on that stick. A baby changes everything. Nick is ecstatic and jumps on the chance to prove that she is his and together is where they all should be. It’s a bumpy ride. Past insecurities are hard to overcome and certain obstacles that jump in their way could cause those walls that are crumbling around her heart to be built back up.
This is definitely a book that you want to read, and a series of beautiful and bada** women that you should devour.
This story grabbed me from the first paragraph and didn’t let go! Take one playboy and one commitment shy woman, throw in a purely physical relationship that could be so much more and a dash of surprise and you get this story! Nick is pure book boyfriend material and Sierra is her own woman. I loved that Sierra had enough self worth that she would remove herself from a situation that wasn’t positive for her, you don’t get to see that much lately. The epilogue gave me the one little piece I was waiting for to make my heart happy.
Absolutely loved this book. The characters are amazing. You feel like your right there with them.
Sierra only does sexual relationships since her last relationship failed miserably. Nic knows Sierra is special but Sierra keeps him at arms length. Once Sierra finds out that she is pregnant, everything changes. They are forced to deal with their issues together. Nic is the perfect book boyfriend.
Evan’s books keep getting better and better.
I absolutely fell in love with Nick and Sierra. If you haven’t read Realism, I’d recommend reading that first since that’s where all the characters are introduced and Mona and Joaquin make frequent appearances throughout this book. Going in, I knew Nick and Sierra had a strictly physical relationship, but they ended up with quite the surprise. While Sierra did the right thing, Nick kind of made a mess of their situation right off the bat. Cue me falling in love with Nick the moment he realizes what he’s done. It absolutely blew my mind (in a good way) to see a male character step up and go with the flow. Of course, both Nick and Sierra knew their relationship was more, but Sierra was still hesitant. Over the course of the story, they hit some bumps in the form of Nick’s family, Staci (boo!), and Sierra’s hangups from her past. Together they navigate it all and get their HEA. Another winner from Evan Grace, I’m ready for Heidi’s book!
The second book in this series has completely lived up to what I was hoping to find! As much as I loved Joaquin and Mona, Nick and Sierra leave their angsty love and bumpy road in the dust. Nick and Sierra have had a push-and-pull relationship because of fears and past hurts, but once that plus sign appears, Nick is all in. The only problem? Sierra is still hiding part of her heart behind a brick wall lined in shards of glass. They have their share of arguments, misunderstandings, and pain to get past, but once they do? Oh, it’s a beautiful life ahead.
Honestly, I wanted to slap Nick a few times, just as I wanted to shake Sierra for keeping a seemingly unimportant secret about an encounter that helped blow everything up. The blowup was worth it though, because sometimes it takes a huge lie-perceived-as-truth to bring logic and thought into the fallout to repair things. I can’t wait for the next sister’s story now, because I’m pretty sure it’ll be an even more emotional read.
