This well-written and action-packed book is not for those who are fainthearted or who cannot handle the intense suspense of the book. I read it in small sections. Jack is an honest man who is to my opinion ill-treated by his government and superiors. His homecoming was not what I expected. I sincerely hope that in the follow-on book he gets his daughter safely and unharmed back and that he gets some very good and understanding friends.
Tense, and action-packed with a great plot and characters. You won’t be able to put this book down.
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.
Action-packed! This is a prequel to the Jack Steel series – so in this story he is part of the Black Ops team; is still married; and his daughter is still safe. This was an exciting and quick read. What a thrill ride!
WOW! Read this prequel novella as a kind of introductory test: if I liked it, I’d read more; if not, I’d stop. WOW! I CAN NOT STOP READING ! Blew through this one and bought the rest ~ I’m ALL IN and I can’t wait! More Jack Steel to come ~ thank you so VERY much, Mr Saign ~
A family is on vacation when they are attacked by terrorist. Jack Steel is sent in to rescue the family with orders to kill. Jack ends up getting himself caught by the terrorist. Among the hostages is 10 year-old Lydia. Jack is determined to make it out alive and take the little girl with him. Jack has a little girl of his own waiting for him at home and he has every intentions of seeing her again. He does not plan on leaving his little girl without a father like Lydia.
Jack has to be very conning if he is going to save himself and Lydia. Jack and Lydia manage to get away from the terrorist. They end up running down a hill to escape the terrorist and as they are running away they are getting shot at. It is a little difficult for Jack as he is running with Lydia zip-tied to his back. But Lydia is a brave little girl and stays quiet the whole time. Will Jack and Lydia get out alive?
Steel Trust gives us a sneak peek into Jack Steel’s world. It introduces us to the man of the hour about who he is and what kind of person he is. It gives us a look into the heart of the man of the hour. Just for a little while we get to see that he is soft on the inside but tough on the onside.
Steel Trust starts out with action and never lets up. Once you start reading it is like a roller coaster ride going downhill all the way with Jack and Lydia to the end. The descriptions are all so vividly written it makes you feel as if you are standing right there with Jack and Lydia as they are running through the forest/jungle.
Steel Trust is a short fast paced read with non-stop action and more twists than you can shake a stick at. Oh and let me tell you there was this big twist at the end that I never saw coming. Oh man it is a whopper and surprisingly so. I sure hope that we will find out more about this twist in the first book of the Jack Steel series, Steel Force. I can’t wait to dive into Steel Force.
I highly recommend Steel Trust to all mystery, action, thriller, and adventure fans.
Steel Trust is the prequel for the Jack Steel series. This book gives an insight into just who Jack Steel is. This mission was a tough one and there’s plenty of action and suspense. Another great book by Geoffrey Saign.
Steel Trust is the prequel to Geoffrey Saign’s Steel Force, book 1 in the Jack Steel series. Read it first or later, it’s a must read to get to know more about Jack, and a must read for action thriller fans.
I received this ARC for a voluntary review and since I’m a big fan of Jack Steel, it’s voluntary and honest when I say Steel Trust is a ‘must read’. The writing, characters and action packed storylines have put Mr Saign on my ‘favorite authors’ shelf.
This was a very good book; lots of action. I wish it had been longer. Enjoyed.
