The princess isn’t supposed to dethrone the king. ElsaHe said he’ll destroy me, and he did.I might have lost the battle, but the war is far from over. They say it starts with one move to dethrone the king.No one mentioned he’ll yank me with him on the way down.AidenIf Steel’s little princess wants a war, then war it is.There’s only one rule: my rules or none at all.By all means, show me what you … is.
There’s only one rule: my rules or none at all.
By all means, show me what you got, sweetheart.
Steel Princess is book two of Royal Elite series and should be read after Deviant King. This is a dark high school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some readers might find offensive.
This book is part of a trilogy and is NOT standalone.
The third and final book, Twisted Kingdom, is available for pre-order.more
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Being mine isn’t a choice or a push and pull game anymore. It’s her only hope of survival.
Rina Kent An extremely powerful, twisted, obsessive and enthralling tale of deceit, manipulation, , possessiveness, lies, madness, secrets and a little bit of love, may be? Steel Princess was just unputdownable story of December….
Just when I thought that [book:Deviant King|48140079] was my damnation, author RINA KENT splashes me into the black hole that is Steel Princess. I couldn’t fathom each chapter, much less the whole book. SP deserves to be savored and read with so much patience and enthusiasm that it might never be enough. You might never be full of Aiden and Elsa. There’s just something, a soft spot, or a hunch when it comes to broken Anti-heroes. But when AIDEN KING is in picture, you think thrice before withholding your front, breaking his demeanor or trying to eye what’s his!
I’ll always come back for you, sweetheart. You’re a queen, not a pawn.
You don’t go out with other guys. You don’t look at them. You don’t fucking breathe near them. Is that clear?
Aiden & Elsa’s romance wasn’t a vanilla like, lovey dovey cliche. It was all very raw, gritty, tortured and fragmented. A tale of obsessive attraction. A tale of getting sucked in under each other’s skin. You don’t get moments of love or confessions, all swoony but strangely, the behavior got me all flustered and bothered. My nerves were on wreck. This guy has been completely wrapped around our FROZEN PRINCESS. And I never once got to complain about the scenario. Picking up where we left off in Book 1, this was a struggling phase for both Elsa & Aiden as they try to fight their demons as well as outdo each other. But who said it’ll be always the Queen that bows before her King? Sometimes, the Queen brings him to his knees. To worship or punish? I’ll leave that your imagination.
Devils can’t be redeemed. Devils can only crash and burn. He said he’ll destroy me, and he did. It’s time I destroy him back.
Some of the facets I truly enjoyed were their chemistry which was undeniably enamoring. The danger that oozed out of both of them was monstrous, but enough to keep them entangled. I didn’t know I could love a possessed man so much as I did Aiden. I was utterly in love with his mad streak, what’s wrong with me, god?! I kept waiting for his POVs and a peak into his thoughts. They were focused on Elsa, one hundred percent. Indecent thoughts. Swooning fantasies! The fight they engorged in to overcome each other’s domination was amusing to read. I reacted for every single sentence, line, chapter and of course, the whole damn book.
Elsa can wear armour, and I’ll stab straight through it. Hell she can hide behind a fort, and I’ll bring the whole fucking thing down.
The plot was such a strong one that you couldn’t help yourself finishing it sooner or slower, it felt like I didn’t want their story to end as well as I wanted to know the end. And that end completely made a havoc in my mind, life and my damn schedule. Heaps of theories formed inside my brains. I couldn’t pinpoint where it might go, so full stars for the twists which were so thrilling and riveting. The thing about this author is you never know when you might cross a forest or when you might stumble upon a desert. That kept me going for ever. Filthy as dirt, Pervy as Me!
If you’re into DARK BULLY ROMANCE, who has a possessive anti-hero, a sassy cold princess for a heroine and their harem of bad-streak friends, then please help yourself to ROYAL ELITE SERIES. I assure you that you’ll be kissing my feet in no time. Haha, until later whores!
OMG! What just happened!! I was not expecting that cliffhanger!! It just BLEW…MY…MIND and left me flabbergasted, but it has an unexpected surprise that is soooo jaw-dropping good!!! This is one of the best bullying romance series I have read in a while with a compelling story that was impossible to put down. Aiden and Elsa are full of surprises. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out what happened next. Not all of its surprises are pleasant ones, but there is a certain satisfaction in experiencing a thread that is so obstinately unexpected. Aiden and Elsa push/pull through the entire book making you question everything. Their journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, intrigue, commitment, and love. Find out if Elsa will be able to dethrone her ‘King’—you will be amazed. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. Rina Kent delivered a powerful and emotional, all-consuming story that left me obsessed and yearning for more. I can’t wait to read the next book!
This second book is about Elsa’s past or at least you get flashes of it when she talks to her therapist. Aiden is still broody, scary and hunkier than ever and the bullying doesn’t stop. There’s hot sex, plenty of action and wtf moments. There is a cliffhanger ending that makes me need the next book now. The books should be read in order with Deviant King first.
4.5 crazy stars!! This cover is beautiful!
This is book two in the “Royal Elite” series and can not be read as a stand alone. This book takes off right where book one left off.
The ending of this book was a huge WTF!! That made my night!! I am so freaking excited for the third and final book!! All the secrets are coming out and it is so damn intriguing!!
Ok so I love all the characters in this book! Sad that I feel as though maybe this book they weren’t as prominent. I am hoping to see them more next book. I also feel like I don’t understand everyone’s role clearly either. Elsa is up in the air with me. I totally get her from all the shit she went through but she tends to make me want to smack her sometimes. King is a bit crazy. Almost abusive in a sense. He rubs me the wrong way. He has me wanting to trust in him and then fucks with my head (totally get what Elsa feels).
This book kept you guessing. It was so much tension until it finally broke and we started to get some answers. I was so impressed by book one that I came into this book with that same energy and it was almost as good. But I have a feeling book three is gonna rock some worlds.
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
This is the story of how they came to be in each others orbit.
The good, the bad, the obsessed and the forgotten, but which applies to who, and why…
Oh my god!! I feel like my heart is about to give out under all the direct hits its just taken!
Love and hate, passion and obsession. A darkness within.
A story to tell, but painful words to share. A past a future and a moment in time.
This is a continuation of Deviant king and they do need to be read in order or you wont get the full picture nor the true story of how the bully was born.
If ever there was a bully series you MUST read then this is surely it!
Theres something for everyone and a new book boyfriend waiting to be claimed.
Five stars from the get go and I seriously cant wait for the continuing book.
I need the truth, the full truth and nothing less shall be accepted!
You know, there is a legend about the second book in a trilogy that says it is usually the worst one or the most boring one. Sometimes it also becomes ‘the useless one’.
Let me tell you right now, it was absolutely NOT the case with this book!
I don’t even know where to begin reviewing. There’s just so much to talk about and I have to do that without spoiling anything… it’s hard – and also the reason why it took me three days to finish writing this.
First and foremost, let’s talk about Aiden’s evolution. He is still the most annoying, possessive, jealous and obsessed psychopath you could ever meet in life, but you get to know why he acts this way and – trust me- it will break your heart. I can safely say that one of the things that made me love this book so much was finally getting into his head and having an insight on his life and, most importantly, on his past. Now, that was one hell of a revelation…
Which brings me to the growth in his and Elsa’s relationship. You can actually feel how things are changing for them. We already had the chance to experience this path with Elsa in Deviant King, but Aiden’s feelings development is never plainly approached or talked about here. It happens, and you experience it along with him and everyone else around him. And I have to praise Rina Kent’s incredible writing skills for this.
Let’s talk about my second favorite thing: Elsa. She just left me speechless, really. I cannot say much, but… YOU GUYS ARE NOT READY. She’s back and she’s ready to kick your butt while you fall in love with her – harder with each kick. I loved her, that’s it.
The new awareness about their feelings brings the chemistry in this book to a completely different level. If you thought the first book was hot, you should think again. There’s this sizzling atmosphere that surrounds Aiden and Elsa’s interactions throughout the book which I actually have no words to describe. You see them challenging each other and pushing each other, yet they are always drawn to each other like moth to flame. They are in love and they belong together and that’s the tea.
Last favorite thing about this book: THE HORSEMAN! Ronan, Xander and Cole captured my heart; they are the cherry on top of this beautiful installment in the series. I loved getting to know about them a little bit more, watching them interact and understand more about their bond. You will laugh a lot because of their shenanigans.
ALSO, Xander and Kim…
Rina Kent has outdone herself this time – but I say that every single time. Deviant King left us with a lot of question and most of them will get an answer, but don’t think for a second that it is the end… the cliffhanger this time is five hundred time worst – and ten thousand hundred times more heartbreaking.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
**STEEL PRINCESS IS BOOK 2 IN A SERIES! If you haven’t started the series don’t wait RUN!! Warning! This book ends with a cliffhanger! It’s so worth it though!!**
Rina Kent Has done it again! Steel Princess continues Aiden and Elsa’s story. Elsa is slowly learning bits and pieces of her past all while maintaining a tumultuous relationship with Aiden. Additionally, she learns how they are connected through their pasts. Aiden continues to be her worst nightmare and shining knight all rolled in one. Will they overcome all of the obstacles they face or will it tear them apart?
Steel Princess will leave you with a major book hangover!! The end is !! I need to know what happens next!!
Oh god Rina Kent you keep dropping bombs at the end of the book, thank god I don’t have to wait for ths next book or else this suspence would have made me crazy!
Another stunning book, better than the first. The story continues with hate, deception and love. I’m enchanted by this wicked series.
Aiden and Elsa’s romance is no vanilla love; there is deep possession and obsession. Elsa starts to have snippets of memories from the past, she needs to know the truth and Aiden knows something but won’t give up the secrets easily. He can be frustating at times. He is throwing scraps of information not only to Elsa but the readers. At one point I thought to skip everything and run to the end of the book. I applaud the author to keep this book suspenceful. Aiden is sick and shameless and Elsa can’t help but be attracted to him. Aiden’s secret motives creates doubts in Elsa.
This book was absolutely thrilling. It has lots of sex, kinks and revelations of many secrets. When I thought I had enough of the books suspense the author goes and dumps a huge cliffhanger. On to the next book.
MAJOR SECRETS UNRAVELLED IN BOOK TWO!
Steel Princess continues right where Deviant King ended, introducing new character, unravelling some major secrets about their dark past and leading to a final showdown of the game!
Truth be told, there are still many untold secrets by the end of book two, but one gets enough clues in this book to be able to make assumptions of what could have happened in the past between the King and Steel family.
I also think Rina did a great job developing the side characters, who interest you to want to learn more about their stories. For example, what’s the deal between Cole and Silver and what really happened between Xander and Kim? I guess we’ll just have to wait for their books to find out!
The final showdown between the chess game is gonna happen in Twisted Kingdom and I cannot wait to read it! <3
RATING:
• Overall: 4.5
• Storyline: 4.5
• Hero/Heroine: 4.5 / 4
• Steam: 4
*PLEASE NOTE REVIEW HEREON CONTAIN SPOILERS*
SAFETY:
• Hero: Aiden King, In this book, the story is also told from Aiden's POV, which gave a glimpse into his complex personality. I love him so much as he struggles to come to terms with choosing Elsa over everything else. His protective (and sometimes possessive) side is really a huge draw point - while he may have his own demons to fight off, he is now ready to go all out to protect Elsa, even if it means standing against his father! He also has leverages over Cole/Silver and I am dead curious to know what's the deal with the two of them!
• Heroine: Elsa Quinn, As she learns a lot more about her terrible past in this book and is no longer the sheltered and fragile Elsa, it seems that it also awakens a violent nature within her (especially her violence tendencies toward Silver). She is broken and tormented by the events of the past and though Aiden chooses her over his family, will she be able to do the same and choose Aiden over her father? I am definitely hoping to learn more about her in the final book and unlock all the mysteries surrounding her and her childhood.
• Safe sex: Yes, heroine is on the shot
• OM/OW: Aiden is supposedly engaged to Silver. A guy named Knox seems to be interested in Elsa and they went on a dinner date.
• Sexual acts with OM/OW: No
• Virgin: No, heroine's virginity taken by hero in book one
• Angst: A little at the ending
• Possible Triggers: Kidnapping and imprisoning a child
• Push/Pull: Yes, Elsa tried to push Aiden away at the start of the book as she overheard Jonathan and Silver saying Aiden is trying to break her by dumping her after gaining her trust.
• Ending: Cliffhanger with twist, Elsa's supposedly deceased father, Ethan Steel, showed up to take her home!!
This is a voluntary and honest review because I love this book sooooo much!!
4 QUEEN-NOT-PAWN STARS
Do you remember the cliffhanger at the end of Deviant King? Do you think that was cruel?
Well, prepare yourself, because the ending of this book will literally kill you. I’m DYING to know what’s gonna happen in the third book, I’m so excited for the upcoming release!
I didn’t think that I could fall harder for Aiden after the first installment of this series, but it happened and I’m considering opening a real fan club for him because he’s the king of hotness and has all the keys to my heart.
In this book, all the secrets are told and we finally understand the reason behind Aiden’s unkind behavior (that we loved so much) when he first met Elsa. I had my theories about what had happened to them but Rina surprised the hell out of me with that story, I wasn’t expecting something so… cruel. I don’t what to spoiler you, so I’m gonna keep my mouth shut.
Aiden and Elsa’s relationship is everything but lovely and sweet – it’s raw and tormented but you can feel the depth of their connection. Aiden is totally wrapped up in Elsa, she is the queen now, not a pawn. They trust each other and you can sense that they’re falling in love, they just can’t admit it to themselves.
The ending of this book felt like a stab in the back – painful and so freaking unexpected that I started crying so hard because… ugh, I can’t tell you but it’s so unfair!!!
I’m counting the days until the release of Twisted Kingdom, I know Rina Kent won’t disappoint any of us.
Aiden and Elsa’s story continues in Steel Princess and it is as dark, intense, and sizzling as book 1. There are so many secrets and lies in this twisted story that I was shocked too many times to count. I don’t want to give anything away….so let me just say I can’t wait for the next book! The ending….totally unexpected!
HOLY SMOKES!
Rina Kent killed me with this one! I was NOT expecting that ending!
I thought Deviant King was twisted and insane. I had high hopes for Steel Princess and Kent delivered a suspenseful & emotional ride. All the twists and turns; right from the start…had me on the edge of my seat needing EVERY SINGLE WORD. Who did it? What would happen? Steel Princess gave me answers but then proceeded to blow it all to pieces with what it revealed next!
I never thought Aiden King could get any hotter or possessive but it’s as if he accepted my challenge and gave in spades! So dominating and intense, I don’t blame Elsa one bit for her choices in this book. I loved the back and forth between these two characters. Elsa’s strength and determination while trying to dig up her own secrets had my anxiety reaching an all new high. My absolute favorite part is that it felt like something deep inside of each of them was reaching for the other. This all consuming need to have each other’s soul.
Of course there has to be a villain…or maybe two…life can’t just be that easy for these two. In addition to their need to take each other down…there’s also the others who want to take them down!
I truly enjoyed the little glimpses into Xander, Cole and Ronan that we get. I can’t wait to get their stories. I have so many questions in my mind about each. Especially Cole!
More than anything I’m dying for Twisted Kingdom now.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I’m just so invested. It’s such a twisted trilogy. Elsa still frustrates me, and so does Aiden but I find myself liking this psycho more

STEEL PRINCESS — RINA KENT

plot: 5/5
characters: 5/5
pacing: 5/5

IMPORTANT: *read the author warning, lots of dark/mature content in this one*

guess who didn’t sleep again because they were binging this book? yep it’s me. oh well, at least i have boba and food to keep myself from passing out… and this amazing story!
the romance is amazing and twisted and just perfect and i’m an addict. elsa and aiden is now my OTP. that’s how perfect they are together.
it’s hard to find series where sequels don’t feel like they drag on forever, and i usually don’t like series that spend multiple books on one couple. welp, rina proved me completely wrong.
i love the background mystery (it’s hard to find books in the genre with an actual plot besides the romance) and rina kent delivered completely! i need need need to know more about elsa and aiden’s past. i can’t wait for her to recover all of her memories and find out what happened that day!
ok let’s talk about that ending. THE ENDING WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. *riots in cliffhanger* i’m pretty sure my heart stopped when i read the last line. w h a t t h e a c t u a l— at least the third book is out and i don’t have to wait another year. but… wow. these plot twists just keep coming— i love how there are times when i think i figured things out and then there’s a plot twist that’s like: “no. you’re wrong.” and it feels so random but it makes complete sense.
the one thing i did wish there was more of in this was some kind of rivalry/fighting between elsa and aiden… i kind of expected it from where the last book ended, but it felt like it resolved a little quickly.
OTHERWISE THIS BOOK IS THE DEFINITION OF PERFECT AND YOU NEED TO GO READ IT.

My Rating: 1/4
Type: Series. Trilogy- Book 2
Genre: Contemporary Fiction Romance, Bully Romances
Primary Characters: Aiden & Elsa
Narration: Dual POV
Steel Princess is the second book in the series and can’t be read as a standalone. I was intrigued on how the characters and story would turn out. I wasn’t happy with mystery reveal, but I wasn’t disappointed as well. This book was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be.
Aiden and Elsa’s relationship was so deviant and dark and yet it worked so well for them. They fight and try to get upper hand on each other. The push and pull between them was intense. The glimpses of Aiden and Ella’s past was very tantalizing. Story continues with deception, love and hate. It does feel like story hasn’t moved much at several points, yet I didn’t feel bored anywhere.
I liked Aiden more in this. I loved the intrigue and mystery of this series. Aiden’s obsession with Elsa, started making sense. I’m more intrigued with Cole and Ronan. Kim and Xander also added a good amount of lure to the big twisted web of lies and deceit. Each of secondary character is unique in their own way and make them riveting enough to know more.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read. Good that I need not have to wait for next book. I can’t wait to find out what’s more in store for us.

So I read Steel Princess right after I was done with Deviant King because you know, who could live another day with one of Rina’s cliffies! I know I can’t, so yeah!
This is the 2nd book in the series and just like the Deviant King this book is packed with all the angst, steam and suspense. Love Rina Kent’s easy but soul shattering writing style in both books!
While the couple’s (Aiden & Elsa’s) cat and mouse chase keeps getting better, there are a few revelations to certain things which were previously mentioned in the 1st book as well. And this book ends with a massive cliff-hanger and don’t say I didn’t warn you!
What I love the most about the 2nd book was, there were some revelations that were so dark and emotional it frankly numbed me to a point which I couldn’t think of anything but this book. In a really good way btw. Aiden and Elsa’s relationship is by no means an ordinary one nor their past and the things they had to endure as kids.
I love the fact that the author had kept a steady pace in the story. At the same time she’s done a great job when it comes to developing the secondary characters. For an instance Elsa’s best friend Kim, and the rest of the 3 horsemen. I love how lighthearted and easy going Ronan is and how broodingly dark Cole is.
Anyway the bottomline is, the 2nd book of this series is as good as the first one. It makes you want to read more and more of her books!
If you love a good old dark romance just like I do, pick up this book like now!
Until we meet again with another review, hang tight!

PS: I’ve voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Aiden & Elsa’s saga continues in this unpredictable & steamy sequel. Once I started this series I was not able to stop before devouring each and every book.
Aiden is the epitome of jealous & possessive alpha hero. Did he get too much at times? YES! Do I mind it? Not even one bit! Elsa’s chilled out attitude towards his controlling nature was so refreshing to read. Instead of bowing down before him, she fights him at every turn.
In this book we get some insights on what made Aiden this way. There is still a lot of mystery yet to unfold. Elsa’s nightmares still continue and so do her flashbacks. She is getting impatient to figure the complete truth.
And I just have to mention the four horsemen. Apart from Aiden the other guys Ronan, Xander & Cole have me absolutely mesmerized. I am so curious to read their stories as well. Each one of them brings something unique to the table.
Coming to Rina’s writing. I have officially become a fan of her writing. She has a way with words. She’ll make you feel every emotion along the way and then some. The way she weaves mystery elements into the story makes it so intriguing.
The drama continues in this sequel of Aiden & Elsa, with a cliffhanger ending that will make you open the third book straight away.
Their romance truly develops in this sequel and I enjoyed it more than the first. The drama and rivalry still remained, along with their childhood interconnection mystery, where more answers are received as Aiden and Elsa become closer and closer.
I liked this one more than the first as it also went away more from the high school bully trope, and more into the dark twisted romance.
Fated Pawns
The second book in the series is definitely more dark and twisted than the first one which gave you a brief insight to all the main characters and secondary ones. This one heightened the relationship between our main antagonist, Aiden, and Elsa.
Questions have been answered, the past has started to come to light and partnerships are being forged in between them. To be a pawn or to be a queen? Whose side is Aiden going to choose? All this and more do get answered.
Does end in a cliffhanger, but that is to be expected knowing that this is all a series. Next up is the third one that should complete their fated story.
I love reading this series and getting involved with the characters. This is book two in Aiden and Elsa’s story, and has a lot of filler information of them. This mostly involves Elsa learning slowly who she is and what happened in her past, as well as what is going on with Aiden. She struggles to trust him, but he keeps giving her another reason why he can’t be trusted (at least so it appears).
The only reason this isn’t 5 stars, is because it does feel like a filler book. Between books 1 and 3, this book could have been split between the two and we wouldn’t have lost much of the story.
