There’s only one rule: my rules or none at all.
By all means, show me what you got, sweetheart.
Steel Princess is book two of Royal Elite series and should be read after Deviant King. This is a dark high school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some readers might find offensive.
This book is part of a trilogy and is NOT standalone.
The third and final book, Twisted Kingdom, is available for pre-order.more
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Steel Princess is the second book in the Royal Elite Series and it should be read after Deviant King. After reading Deviant King, I was left with a lot of questions unanswered which were answered in Steel Princess.
In the second book, many secrets are revealed, Elsa and Aiden’s past is revealed and readers are left satisfied. Usually, I do not prefer reading trilogies as I often feel that authors just write them in the sake of dragging a story which could be written in one book, however with Elsa and Aiden’s story, I genuinely feel Rina did an amazing job because never once did I get bored or zoned out reading Steel Princess. Rina knows exactly what the plotline is supposed to be and she did a great job keeping the readers interested.
After Deviant King, I was left curious about what might have happened in Elsa’s past and how exactly is she connected with Aiden and in Steel Princess, the readers get to know exactly what happened and what was the story behind it.
I absolutely loved Elsa’s character as she becomes more bold, more reckless, and so much more dominating in this book. She rebels against everything Aiden asks her to do and most of the time questions him, which is just amazing cause it builds up the tension between the couple. In Steel Princess, Elsa tries to find out about her past life and as she is in the process of remembering her past and putting the pieces together, you notice how strong her character is. Her character has developed so much from the first book, and her character just gets better and better. I absolutely love the parts where she challenges Aiden and manipulates him to get information out of him, and in these scenes you can notice the character development as Elsa in Deviant King would have probably not done that.
As much as I loved Elsa, I also fell in love with Aiden all over again. In Steel Princess, we get to see a whole other side of him! Rina has included Aiden’s POV as well in this book which is perfect as we get to know what he feels. Aiden in this book was so much more vocal about his feelings for Elsa and he never hesitated to show his affection for her. My heart would swell up with love every time he would call Elsa adorable. But that does not mean his possessive, arrogant, alpha male side is gone. In most parts of the book, his alpha male side comes out and the scene just gets better and steamer.
Unlike Deviant King, Steel Princess was heavy based on the storyline. The way Rina has portrayed Elsa’s past couldn’t have been done better. I have to give Rina the credits for writing this story so gracefully, the story was written in such a good flow that I honestly didn’t even realize it when it ended.
Other than the main couple, the side characters in Steel Princess also play a huge role in the book. A new character, Knox, is introduced in this book who seems to be hurt less and not as important as other characters, however, Rina is completely unpredicted and as you come to the end of the book you realize that his character has more to himself than portrayed.
Just like Deviant King, Steel Princess also ends with a cliffhanger which makes you question everything you have just read, and as much as this frustrates me, it also makes me curious and tempted to read the third book. Like I have mentioned before I am not a huge fan of trilogies but Aiden and Elsa’s story is written so incredibly and is so twisted that it makes sense why their story needed three books. I can’t wait to get my hands on Twisted Kingdom.
I loved the second installment to Aiden and Elsa’s story! I binge-read both books 1 and 2 together – like the ignore-all-adulting kind of binge and I don’t even feel guilty for it. If you are an OTT J/P alpha lover like me, then READ THIS TRILOGY!
I cannot wait until Twisted Kingdom, the conclusion of Aiden and Elsa’s story.
My fingers hurt from the cliffhangers that Rina Kent is leaving me in. First, I was screaming and almost throwing my kindle when Deviant King ended now with the release of the second book in the Royal Elite series, Steel Princess I just don’t know how I can hang on! Steel Princess is NOT a stand-alone book and Deviant King must be read first. The Royal Elite series has to be one of the best dark bully romances that I have read. There are secrets that flow from the pages along with a dirty talking King who is determined to rule a certain princess. I devoured this book in one day and couldn’t put it down. Things are about to get real in the third and final book Twisted Kingdoms due out January 23, 2020. 5 shiny, shiny stars for Steel Princess.
I finished this book and I’m so obsessed, I can’t stop thinking about the characters and I can’t read anything after this book, it was so good.u2063
The story starts where deviant King ends (I don’t want to go into details cause a lot of you maybe haven’t read the first one).u2063
If you want to read this series I should give you a warning about leaving your morals before diving in this cause, this book is DARK, all the characters are well constructed and they’re all so complex and morally gray.u2063
This was amazing, dark, twisted and I love it since the first chapter, Rina Kent portrays two characters with so much deep and darkness that it becomes difficult for you to understand the way they think, but when you do you just want more and more because what happens in their mind is incredible.u2063
The side characters are also a big plus for liking this series because their personalities are well defined and it doesn’t feel like they’re there just to be supportive of the main characters, since the first book you can see that they all have a lot going on and honestly I can’t wait to see more about them in the upcoming books, I’m loving this friend group so much u2063
The relationship between Aiden and Elsa is progressing slowly, I like how she writes them being troubled by the past, the healing process and the way they fall in love is not rushed at all, I wish to see more sweet moments in the third book I’m so excited
Twisted, and Suspenseful!
This is the second book in the Royal Elite series, and the continuation of Aiden, and Elsa’s story. This book picks up right after book one, Elsa has just learn some disturbing news, and she is now on the war path. She is done being a pawn in this twisted games, and she plans to turn the tables. This book takes you on a roller coaster of twists, and turns, emotional highs, and lows, and explosive chemistry, that burns up the pages. This was an amazing read, the characters are so well written, and their story sucked me in, and I could not put it down. This was intense, suspenseful, mysterious, gripping, raw, dramatic, emotional, and steamy. This is a must read, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion of Aiden, and Elsa story.
4.5 Stars
Twists and turns
This book was filled with the same heat as the first book but also with many plot twists I didn’t see coming. That cliffy was an omg moment and I’m so excited for the next book. This was a great addition to the series loving these characters
Steel Princess we have Elsa’s past and Aiden is protecting her over the top. I can’t wait for the next book. I love a lot of the characters happy to know there will be standalones from this series in the future.
Wow what a book just when you think you have it all figured out a wrench is thrown into the mix and all your theories are out the window! This series is amazing I love Rina’s writing how I did not know about her before this series is a shock but she has gained herself a fan for life!
We start out with things not going very smoothly with Aiden and Elsa! Elsa can’t get over what she heard Silver and Jonathan talking about Elsa is fuming but more than anything she’s hurt because she was/is falling for him.
Aiden learns of what happened to Elsa but little does he know that Elsa is now aware of what his plans were. Elsa all but declares war on Aiden and after back and forth they finally give in to thier fillings for eachother.
Some secrets will be revealed and 2 of those sectets will be jaw dropping! I can’t wait for Twisted Kingdome for the secrets to be revealed!
I thought I was lucky I got to go straight from reading Deviant King into Steel Princess. I stayed up until 5 am and slept for a few hours to binge the rest of the book since I am so hooked on the Royal Elite world. Now I have one of the biggest book hangovers I’ve ever had before! I’m dying for all my questions to be answered. Rina Kent has woven a masterpiece of a world full of dark bullies for us to love. I can’t wait for more! Now I’m off to binge her other books until I can read more of Aiden and Elsa.
”Monsters are born.”
”As they grow up, they either deny it or fully embrace it, but it doesn’t change what they are.”
Completely outmatched the first one in the plot area. The cliff again stomed on everything I thought I knew, and because of it I can not wait for the next book.
However I had a problem with Aiden’s way of handling Elsa.
The fact that I read this book in one day and before midnight strikes (it’s December 31st and this will really the very last book I read in 2019), says it all.
Holy moly.
I loved [book:Deviant King|48140079]. I loved it because it wasn’t a simple bully romance with flawed, raw, characters. It also contained suspense, complex characters, a twisted and sick storyline that the author unraveled piece by piece, as if she doesn’t want you to choke on it but she wants your shock once you reach the same conclusions as the main characters.
After the ending of Deviant King, Elsa’s world fell to pieces. She is heartbroken, destroyed, devastated. She finally decided she wants to be with Aiden to rethink their relationship once again after what she discovered. Despite the circumstances that link Elsa and Aiden, he doesn’t want to let her go and he tries all he can to be in her life and stay with her.
Elsa is truly shocked by what she learns, but it will take time to discover what happened in her past. I figured some pieces out at some point, but this part of the storyline was mostly unpredictable, and I loved that it was. It just proved that the author calculated every single aspect of her story and everything had meaning, especially when Elsa asked herself: “What did he/she mean by that?”. I don’t want to spoil you anything, so you’ll need to find out about Elsa’s life by reading this book.
The Elsa of Steel Princess is a stronger Elsa. Yet, she’s drawn to Aiden despite what she discovers about him and she hates that he is able to make her do anything he wants her to do, even if she knows that she also wants to do those things. Elsa tried to be more free than she was in the first book and you could see her changes. In this one you’ll also see her pain, her confusion, her emotions all over the place, because she’s battling her inner demons. In the end she’s barely pieced back together by her new resolution, but I wonder if her newfound trust in Aiden will stop her from doubting him.
We also had a few chapters from Aiden’s perspective in this book, and I loved it. It was nice to finally be in his mind and figure out some of his thoughts and where he stands in all of this, since he was unreadable most of the times in Deviant King. His POV solidified my interest and liking in his character. He’s evolved a lot and I think we’ll see evolve even more in the last book of this trilogy, which I hope will end well for us. I wish that Aiden will keep his promises.
After this book I’m interested even more in Kimberly, Xander, Cole and Ronan. They are secondary characters in this trilogy, but I can’t wait to read their books as well. I’m especially drawn to Cole and I don’t know why. From how things looked in this book, my guess is that he’ll be paired up with Silver. He looked like he enjoyed when Elsa or Aiden crushed her, but he also seemed concerned when it came to her. Xander will be surely paired up with Kimberly. Something must have happened in the past between them and even the scene in Deviant King when Elsa finds Kim and Xander seemingly molesting her may be different than how we thought it happened. It sure there’s tension. As for Ronan, he seems to be interested in everyone, so it may be he’ll be paired up with a new girl who comes to school?
Anyway, I can’t wait for the last book of this trilogy. The bad thing is that it comes on January 23rd, but the good thing is that the release date is very close to today, so yay?
After the cliffhanger in Deviant King I was dying to get my hands on Steel Princess! Ms. Kent spoon feeds us some of the answers we desperately need and at the same time, leaves us needing and wanting more! I’m fully invested in Elsa and Aiden and I NEED MORE! LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!
“There’s always been darkness inside me. I fought it. I denied it. The time has come to embrace it. After all, it takes a monster to destroy a monster.”
Elsa is on a mission and she is finding herself along the way. In more ways than one. I love how she manages to keep Aiden on his toes and isn’t afraid to push back. She is learning how to survive in Aiden’s world.
“Every fibre of my body and soul are drawn to him in ways I can’t stop even if I wanted to.”
Aiden is, well, Aiden. Controlling, possessive, and protective. What started as game has become his whole life. Can he protect Elsa from the truth? From Jackson? Will she still want him when the truth comes out? And that cliffhanger!?!? I NEED AMSWERS! I hope we don’t have to wait too long for Twisted Kingdom!
Steel Princess took me for a wild ride!
Book 2 is twice the intense and insanity of the story! The story develops like climbing up a high. You’ve anticipated it and when you finally reached it, you still crave for more.
The hidden truths, the unknown and the lies are getting tangled all together amd you’d just realise that you’re falling into the abyss of the story like the heroine, Elsa, in the story.
Aiden, however, is an enigma. He’s larger than life character that takes everything he wants with no apology. Reading him, I’m scared as well as turned on with his sociopath tendencies. He’s very much in control of his mind games and he’s very good at it which makes him more dangerous because he’s also the heir to the King empire.
But the games that he started is now changing – and so is he – and now he must choose to play wisely because this time, the danger for Elsa is real.
The tangled mess they’re now in are finally catching up on them. How will these two survive what’s about to come at them?
I am legit dying for the conclusion of their story
I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment in The Royal Elites Series by Rina Kent. While Elsa was annoying to me at times, I still enjoyed the angst and drama surrounding the storyline. And Aiden was entertaining and left me wanting more. There is a pretty big cliffhanger at the end, but the 3rd installment should be coming out very soon. If you want a Bullymance with plenty of secrets, lies, and intrigue, this is the book and the series for you! 5 Frustrating Stars!
This was a great continuation to the story! It was a little darker than the previous installment. We learn more about Elsas and Aidens’ past, looking into what made them how they are now. Elsa embraces her dark side and challenges Aiden more than ever. I loved that part and Aiden was just so cruel and closed off, an enigma you wanted to unfold. Throughout this book one starts to understand him better.
I also enjoyed the interactions with her and the rest of the boys as well as her friendship to Kim.
I cannot wait for the next book and can highly recommend it!
FIVE STEEL STARS for Elsa and Aiden !!!
“Deviant King” was the first book that I’ve read by Rina Kent and I loved it so, so much.
But, the second book from the “Royal Elite” series is wow!!!
“Steel Princess” took everything from me and I don’t care because it was a real piece of cake for reading it.
I loved it, I loved it and I loooooved it!!!!
I want more!!!
I need more!!!
Especially after ending that Rina gave us in this book !
If you’re looking for a new dark bully high school obsession, then you need to start reading this series!!!
Highly recommended!!!
Well I didn’t expect it to go there! Crikey I need the next book like yesterday. I spent most of the book trying to second guess what was going to happen and it really drew me further into the story. I find myself mostly not liking Aiden. But I love the intrigue and twists and turns that surround all the characters. Trying to work out who is on what side and what they are hiding and why. Some things were explained but boy were there more questions posed! I really enjoyed this book and I’m desperate for the next!
Overall Rating – .5
I had been counting down the days for this release and couldn’t wait to get back with Elsa and Aiden.
We pick up where book one ended and Elsa has woken up in hospital after her accident, remembering that Aiden is set to destroy her and needs to break free from him. There is a lot of push and pull between them and I loved that Aiden wouldn’t let her split them up!
Elsa, her heart and her mind at always at war. She’s knows she wants/needs Aiden in her life but her head is trying to push him away. Most of the book has her feeling this way and annoyed me a little. I did however like her strong attitude and at times I felt so sorry for her for what she has went through and is still trying to remember.
Aiden is still the same possessive, slightly psychotic alpha that we grew to love in book one. I actually love him and his ways. His inner thoughts always made me smile.
Elsa, she’s constantly seeking answers but Aiden, the usual calculated, possessive, alphahole likes to manipulate her and only gives her little bits. Although, she does well in bargaining with him and those scenes are fire! Aiden certainly raises the heat in this book.
The story still has so many unanswered question and mystery within the story and I’m just dying to know what’s coming next for Elsa and Aiden after that jaw dropping cliffhanger! I can’t wait for book three! If you love a bully romance and an extra over the top possessive hero, this series is for you!

OMG! Just when I thought I couldn’t love this series more, the author did it again! I’m dying ladies. Dying! What was that ending?!
What I loved about this book is that we get to see Aiden’s POV, which we didn’t have in the first book. In this one, we get to know him much better – his motives, his feelings and emotions pertaining to our fierce heroine, Elsa. Not only that, we’re slowly getting to know some vital information about Elsa’s past. However, the author slayed me with her web of intrigues, secrets and betrayals. I need the book three ASAP!
