Gypsy King is book 1 in the new Tin Gypsy MC series by Devney Perry. This series is connected to her best selling Jaimeson Valley series and some of the characters cross over.
Gypsy King follows Dash and Bryce’s story. We originally meet Dash and Draven in The Clover Chapel as they are the brother and father of Nick.
The Tin Gypsy’s have closed their doors, having dispanded over a year ago and most of its members now living on the right side of the law. But that doesn’t stop danger lurking on every corner. People still hell bent on settling old scores, no matter who gets caught in the firing line.
Bryce and Dash’s story is a tricky game of cat and mouse, both of them trying to get ahead of the other, her for THE story of her career, him to prove the innocence of his family. But lines get crossed and blurred, boundaries are destroyed along the way. One kiss could be their downfall, but the connection between them is too strong to ignore.
What a story!!! This book was gripping, full of suspense and had me addicted and on the edge of my seat from the get go! With so many unexpected twists and turns, my head was spinning from each revelation!
This book was full of grit, angst, passion, emotion, having the perfect mix of romance while still giving us the harsher realities we expect from an MC book!
I seriously can’t wait for book two, I already know this will be one of my favourite series!
5 stars!!!
A curious, stubborn reporter who doesn’t know how to give up, and a biker who prefers to leave the past in the past … A match made in heaven or a recipe for disaster? Gypsy King tells the story of Bryce and Dash who fall hard and fast for each other, I love them together.
Bryce recently moved to Clifton Forge and is now the co-owner of the local newspaper. Her previous job at a television station didn’t work out the way she wanted, but that doesn’t mean she has given up on her investigative skills. Her search for a big, newsworthy story brings her straight in the path of Dash, president of the local biker MC. Bryce is nosy, Dash doesn’t want to reveal his club’s secrets, but both can’t deny the attraction between them.
Bryce isn’t very good at listening to other people, but I fully understand her curiosity. An MC with a ruthless past, and a hot new president… She smells a story and goes for it. Dash finds it amusing, but he also gets a bit protective of Bryce. I get him, the Tin Gypsies are on the straight path, but their old ‘friends’ are not. Bryce and Dash keep bumping into each other, and it doesn’t take long before the inevitable happens. I love Bryce and Dash together, they’re perfect for each other.
Gypsy King is the first book in a whole new series by Devney Perry; the ‘Tin Gypsy Series’. It introduces us readers to the Tin Gyspies, the small town of Clifton Forge and its people. Of course, Gypsy King is all about Dash and Bryce, and their whirlwind romance, but there’s so much more going on. Murder, old enemies and family secrets, just a few of the things our couple has to deal with. I love this mix of romance and suspense; it makes me curious for the future books in this series.
I love Gypsy King; I give the story of Bryce and her Dash 4.5 stars.
I absolutely love anything written by Devney Perry. From the very first book of hers I read, The Birthday List, she very quickly became a 1-click author for me. In Gypsy King, the first book in a new series, we get an enemies to lovers story. Dash is the former leader of the Tin Gypsy MC club, but they gave that up to go legitimate. Bryce wants to know why they gave it all up and learn more about a local murder that leads right up to the Tin Gypsies.
When Dash and Bryce meet, the sparks fly right off the pages. Dash is a total alpha, but he is also protective and caring. Bryce is smart and so very determined. Nothing will get in the way. Not even the gorgeous and sexy Dash. I loved watching their banter and back and forth. Neither gave an inch. I loved Gypsy King by Devney Perry and cannot wait to read more in the series.
4.5-stars! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
This is a new series revolving around Clifton Forge, Montana. Bryce Ryan is the new half owner of the local newspaper, with her Dad. She had moved from Seattle to Clifton Forge to have a fresh start. She is extremely interested in a disbanded MC called the Tin Gypsy’s. They were infamous, and suddenly a year ago shut down and are running their garage. She smells a story.
Bryce was actually at the garage, trying to get info and casually talking to Kingston “Dash” Slater. He goes by Dash and is the former president of the club, and now manager of the garage. When the police arrive to arrest his dad, and he finds out Bryce is a journalist, he turns cold as ice, and even threatens her, but it doesn’t stop her. She is determined to figure out who brutally murdered a woman in the local hotel, and in her gut she believes it’s Draven Slater.
When Bryce and Dash meet, there is instant heat, which they both deny. She keeps digging, he keeps trying to intimidate her, with no luck. Dash decides to change tactics and see if they can work on a truce to both try and find the murderer.
The story has lots of twists and turns, back stories that make the novel deeper, and the sizzle between Bryce and Dash catches fire. Danger and threats keep Dash close to Bryce’s side. They realize this is way more than a truce between them.
This story grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let me go to the last. The characters are strong and very believable. I’m so looking forward to the next in this series.

My knowledge of a motorcycle romance is that there’s … motorcycles, motorcycle clubs, sometimes dark and just a whole bunch of grit. And well previous MC romances I’ve read were erotica and those weren’t up my alley. But with Devney being one of my favorite authors out there, I was so excited to get my hands on Gypsy King.
I like that Devney put her own little twist and kept to her small town and contemporary roots, but adding in the MC element to just top things off. My goodness, she did it so well with Gypsy King and I am here for this ENTIRE series!
OK, not going to lie, not a huge fan of reporters in romance, they tend to irk me the most. And it’s pretty hard to sway me in the direction of liking them since majority of the time, they’re just looking for a story and not really caring who they take down in the process. Thankfully, Bryce proved me wrong, I was a bit worried at first, but I ended up liking her as the story wet one. She craved the honest truth in every aspect of her life. She’s a go-getter and I absolutely loved that about her.
Dash surprised me the most, for this very alpha man, who scares the living daylights out of people. I loved seeing the softer side of this big guy, makes you swoon a bit. He was not what I expected at all.
So yeah, I’m totally on-board with this brand of MC romance, if Devney writes it, count me in. I still have a few questions that look like it won’t be answered until book two! You’ll definitely go on a wild ride once you dive into Dash and Bryce’s story!
Devney Perry
Overall Grade:
“‘What’s going on, Dash?’ With us?’ ‘I don’t know. It’s more than I thought it would be.’ He tucked a lock of hair behind my ear. ‘You kind of snuck up on me.’ I smiled. ‘You snuck up on me too.’”
Just when my heart seemed mended from my sadness over the Jamison Valley series ending, Devney Perry finds a way to revitalize it. Yes, she published Tinsel and Letters to Molly in the meantime. Yet, it seemed as though there was unfinished business with the Jamison Valley folks. And there was. Namely, we needed stories born out of Nick’s life. Remember Nick? The dreamy, mechanic hero of The Clover Chapel. Emmeline’s Nick? In that book, it takes Nick’s father and brother to help save Emmeline from being kidnapped. With their aid, the family finds some reconciliation after Nick fails to join the family MC group, The Tin Gypsies. From that experience, the Tin Gypsies decide to disband, and a story is created: Gypsy King, Perry’s newest offering. And this one is an edge-of-your-seat page-turner of a book.
Following the tropes of romance, the Gypsy King is an enemies-to-lovers story. Centered around Bryce, a new-to-Clifton Forge-reporter, and Kingston “Dash” Slater, the son of Draven Slater and former president of the now-defunct MC group, the Tin Gypsies, the romance follows their undeniable attraction and eventual involvement. Dissatisfied with her career as a television newswoman in Seattle, Bryce joins her father’s newspaper in Clifton Forge intent on righting her life. Disappointed that she failed to meet her life goals, she sets about investigating on and writing about the dissolution of the Tin Gypsies. She believes there is more to the story and sees it as an opportunity to meet new personal goals, rectifying her perceived failures in Seattle. Complicating this is Dash Slater. He’s handsome, intelligent, and shrewd. However, Bryce challenges him from their first meeting, and he finds himself instantly attracted to her. Unfortunately, a murder occurs in Clifton Forge, causing the arrest of his father. Dash believes in his father’s innocence and challenges Bryce to investigate the death with him. In order to do that, though, he may need to allow her access to the Tin Gypsies’ secrets, and he’s not sure if this will help or hinder his father’s investigation. In the midst of all of this, Bryce and Dash fall deeper for each other, potentially complicating their lives further. Do they find a happy ending together?
I have to admit that I haven’t read too many MC books. They aren’t my usual draw. However, this is Devney Perry, one of my favorite authors, and the idea of meeting Nick and Emmy again built a definite interest in this book. And Perry did not disappoint. From its outset, I was hooked. Around every corner of this book is drama, a challenge to keep you reading. If it isn’t Draven’s arrest, then it’s family secrets coming to light. Each page reveals a new part of the story, and it pulled me in until the very end. Even in the midst of Dash and Bryce’s struggle to be together, I simply couldn’t put this book down.
Even more, the characters, Bryce and Dash, are complex in their development. Bryce is an older heroine. She believed that the goals she set for herself in her early twenties would come to fruition eventually. She wanted a career, a husband, and a family. However, her career in Seattle fails to launch her. She doesn’t find a husband, and there are no prospects on the horizon when she comes to Clifton Forge. She represents anyone who holds dreams and flounders at achieving them. In a world where success is oftentimes measured by meeting life goals, Perry’s depiction of Bryce asks us to question our own goals. Is it possible that goals can be re-defined and met later? In the midst of her romance with Dash, her thinking is challenged in ways that change her and change her prospects. Her growth and journey are representations of our need to remain open to life and change.
Similarly, Dash’s life is also challenged. At the beginning of the story, it has really only been a short time, a few years, since the dissolution of the Tin Gypsies. He’s developed a strong business working on cars, but there is a hole in his life, a ghost of his former life left in his soul. He attempts to fill that hole with meaningless one night stands with women, his friendships with lifelong pals, and his family. But that void still exists. Interestingly, Dash doesn’t realize it until his enemy, Bryce, the reporter, challenges him. Like Bryce, he must make choices that run contrary to his past decisions. His involvement with Bryce pushes him out of his comfort zone and rattles his life. Together, Dash and Bryce’s evolution add depth to the excitement of the story. Their character growth is the meat to the potatoes of Perry’s story.
It is always an emotional journey when reading a Devney Perry book. What I found most interesting, though, is the grittiness of this new book. Maybe it’s the MC influence. Maybe it’s the hero who reminds us multiple times in the story that he doesn’t “do” love because no one could love a man who has engaged in the dangerous and violent activities of his past with the Tin Gypsies. Or maybe it’s the engaging and oftentimes heart-pounding action of Perry’s story. This isn’t Jamison Valley. It’s Clifton Forge and something dangerous is afoot here. In the midst of this danger, Devney Perry grows a deep and abiding love between her hero and heroine. She takes a woman with broken dreams and allows her to dream again. She creates a man who doesn’t believe he can be more than his past, and she knits them together into a seamless quilt of past, present, and future. Face value, the Gypsy King is a daring suspense-filled story with a fiery chemistry between its hero and heroine. Below its surface, however, is a story reminding us that, in the midst of our brokenness, we can become whole again when we give our broken pieces over to a mender who loves us deeply.
“For so long I’d wanted this. Never would I have imagined I’d find it, a home—love—with the man I’d set out to expose. The enemy. A criminal who’d stolen my heart. All the foolish days and nights I’d spent wondering if I’d end up an old maid had been for nothing. The timing simply hadn’t come together. I’d been waiting for my Gypsy King (my emphasis).”
If you love sexy alpha book boyfriends whose loyalty and brotherhood are bred from a motorcycle club – you’ll love this story.
If you’ve never been a fan of motorcycle club books, guess what? You’ll still love this story.
The Gypsy Kings have disbanded and this story has suspense, mystery, romance, and humor.
It’s a standalone in a sense each book in this series will feature a different couple and a HEA, but some loose ends and questions that need to be answered will continue in book two.
Before I begin, did you see the cover? It’s interesting, unique, eye-catching, and GORGEOUS!!
As with every Devney Perry book, and I’ve read them all, this one is well written and perfectly paced.
I couldn’t stop reading. I found myself carrying my Kindle from room to room so I could sneak a page in while brushing my teeth or folding laundry.
It’s the start of another fantastic series, and I love that there’s a relationship with a character from the Jameson Valley series. (I tend to get attached to characters, and I’m never ready to let them completely go)
From their first meet, Bryce and Dash had undeniable chemistry.
Too bad they were in a race against each other to prove Dash’s Dad innocent (Dash) or guilty (Bryce) of a crime.
As the story unfolds, they decide that two heads are better than one and begin to partner up in both gathering information and scratching their itches.
They go from enemies to bed buddies to more.
Dash is the former President of an MC, complete alpha, loyal, clever, but soft and sweet to Bryce.
Bryce is a former journalist in Seattle who moved to Clifton Forge, Montana, to become co-owner of the local newspaper with her Dad.
I loved that she was strong, hard-working, one-step-ahead smart, and confident, but still had a normal inner monologue that any woman with Dash as their bed partner/crime solver with no strings would have.
It made her more relatable when she was reminding herself that it’s casual and that she had to stay on her toes.
As always, the secondary characters are just as amazing and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
I also look forward to the upcoming book covers. Did I happen to mention I was crazy about this one?
HOLY HELL! I am completely obsessed with this book. Devney has once again left me utterly captivated with this new world she’s crafted. Filled with complex and intriguing characters that’ll have you so engrossed and wanting to know every single thing about them. So much suspense and mystery that’ll have you guessing at every turn. And one thing is most definitely certain—Gypsy King is the start to what is already shaping to be a mind-blowing and addicting Tin Gypsy series.
Bryce is a reporter with a dream. A dream to make a name for herself. She’s looking for that one story to propel her career. She knows she won’t find it in her current job—so she goes in search for it and moves to Clifton Forge. And without knowing, Bryce finds more than she bargained for. She’s a badass and I loved how ballsy, daring and independent she was.
Kingston “Dash” Slater is the former president of the Tin Gypsy MC. After the disbandment of the club, Dash is now operating a local garage in their small town. He’s charming, protective and just downright lethal (in a good way). But the arrival of a very persistent reporter disrupts Dash’s calm and quiet.
Dash and Bryce were fire. Their chemistry was unmistakable from their first encounter—they were scorching hot. And their sexual tension was just as fierce, keeping you on the edge of not if but when they finally gave in. They both gave as good as the other. Their banter, my gosh it was everything! I just loved everything about them and I desperately wanted and needed more.
“All the foolish days and nights I’d spent wondering if I’d end up an old maid had been for nothing. The timing simply hadn’t come together. I’d been waiting for my Gypsy King.”
Gypsy King is not your typical MC story—though it’s everything gritty and thrilling and will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s filled with suspense, secrets, mystery and twists and turns you didn’t see coming. It’s a wild addictive ride of exhilaration topped with excitement—a total rush. Devney has me fascinated with this new world, I’m so intrigued with every character and need and crave every one of their stories. I can’t wait to continue on this ride, the excitement for the next book is next level. I need, I need, I need!
MUST READ
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
Gypsy King is a great start to the new Tin Gypsy series by Devney Perry!
The storyline is the perfect combination of murder, mystery and betrayal. Add in two characters that start off as enemies but they have chemistry that is off the charts!Circumstances have throw them together but both Bryce and Dash realize that getting involved with each other beyond figuring out who set up his dad for murder is a huge mistake but they just can’t seem to stop the attraction.
From the first page to the last this story had me hooked with enough twists and turns to keep the pages turning and I needed to know who was causing all the chaos and why and because this is still a romance story, I wanted to see how Bryce and Dash would work out their differences.
I am looking forward to what will come next in this series!
Whew! That was one heck of a ride! I have loved everything Devney Perry has written and Gypsy King was no different.
This is the story of Bryce Ryan, a journalist who has just returned to Montana after 10 years of working on air as a TV newscaster to help her father run the local paper and Kingston “Dash” Slater, former President of the disbanded Tin Gypsy Motorcycle Club and owner of the local garage. This is a spin-off of The Clover Chapel (from Perry’s Jamison Valley series,) so if you’ve read that, you’ll probably recognize a few characters. No worries if you haven’t–it’s not needed to enjoy this one.
“Live to Ride. Wander Free.”
I love MC books but this is not your typical one, so don’t expect that. It’s more of a romantic suspense that happens to have some MC characters and connections.
I don’t want to give much away, as this is definitely one you want to go into blind. I’ll just say that Bryce sets out to find a story and ends up finding way more than she bargained for.
“I’d been waiting for my Gypsy King.”
This story is full of twists and turns–every time I thought I knew what was happening, much like Bryce, I was thrown off the trail. I loved it and read it in one sitting. It pulls you in and won’t let you go until the end. In addition to the great suspense, it has all the emotional times and heat that I’ve come to expect from a Devney Perry novel. I was on the edge of my seat, while I felt allll the feelings. Gypsy King set the stage for this new series beautifully and I can not wait for more. Hurry up, Riven Knight!
This has been one of my most anticipated books I’ve been counting down the days until I could get my hands on it. I have to say Devney absolutely nailed her MC story.
Bryce and Dash have enough chemistry to light up a city they are hot hot hot. From their first meeting you can feel the pull towards each other. This is not what I would term a traditional MC story. Bryce is determined to get a story for her paper and a murder is the perfect in for her. Central to the story is finding the killer and that brings a host of characters in to play.
Dash is my kind of man, loyal and protective a hard no nonsense man with a soft side for his woman. I was cheering that Bryce was such a strong personality I’m so over simpering women in books. She’s a confident woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.
Whilst part of the story is wrapped up there are loose ends and unanswered questions that carry forward to the next book. A really enjoyable well written engaging story.
I am really loving and enjoying this author’s books and was excited we were getting a new series. A hate relationship that evolves in something else during this story but it also goes deeper as it surrounds a darker hidden story that will be a bit more central throughout the book. I liked the way the author wrote this story but in the end I was still left with so many unanswered questions about what was going on around them but I guess that’s something we will learn more about in the other books in this series. I need book two asap 🙂
Bryce moves back to her hometown and being now one of the co-owners at the newspaper, she’s determined to write some new stories. After learning the story about the Tin Gypsies, she wants to learn more about their story and their history in the hope to unveil why they have stopped their activities all together. When something happens in town, she is determined to find out what happened but bumps head with Dash, who was once the Gypsy King to try and uncover the story she’s trying to chase. Even though Bryce is turning out to be more of a nuisance for Dash, he’s trying to work out a truce that makes them work together, to unveil the truth. The more they are together, the more their attraction deepens and their relationship evolves. But with a threat now looming over them, they’ll have to fight with everything they got!…
„Never would I have imagined I’d find it, a home- love- with the man I’d set out to expose. The enemy. A criminal who’d stolen my heart.”
Devney Perry has masterfully combined a small-town, heart-warming romance with the suspenseful and thrilling world of motorcycle clubs. Gypsy King is addictive and gripping, full of unexpected twists, indescribable amount of lust and passion, as well as swoon-worthy and tear-jerking moments. This story had my full attention from the first page and my excitement only grew with every sentence I’ve read. This book is an epic start for a new outstanding series!
I adore Bryce. This woman is stubborn, determined, independent and brave. I admired her drive to reach her goal and that even danger wasn’t able to slow her down. Dash is the perfect combination of a bad boy, laid-back guy and caring and protective lover. But when the situation calls for it, he turns into a complete alpha. These two are from two different worlds, and given the circumstances they shouldn’t ever be together. But the electrifying chemistry that connects them and a deep passion that doesn’t seem to leave them, makes it impossible to keep their distance.
But Gypsy King is not only romance. It’s also a mystery that needs to be solved. Devney did an excellent job with the tension that hasn’t left me from the beginning till the end. Every twist in the storyline was a complete surprise, new revelations kept me at the edge of the seat and I was reading with my mouth agape.
Devney Perry created an original, addicting and steamy story that I couldn’t put down. Gypsy King is on my list of this year’s favorites and I’m looking forward to the other books in the Tin Gypsy series!
5 She’s Determined to Get the Story Stars!!
I’m absolutely giddy with the fact that I’ve got new characters and stories to fall in love with thanks to Ms. Perry. The minute I heard she was planning on writing this series that’s an offshoot of her previous series had me chomping at the bit to really get to know Dash and Bryce…and what ride they take us on!!
Bryce has moved back to small town Clifton Forge, MT to get back to her roots of being a print journalist and to work with her father. She’s a reporter that when she smells the inkling of a story, she’ll stop at nothing to get the details…and this could be her downfall because this story is tied to the recently dismantled Tin Gypsy MC. What she doesn’t expect is to feel a draw to the Dash who’s the son of the former leader of this MC…but there’s something about him that she can’t get out of her mind!
Dash is my kind of man…quiet, very aware of what’s going on around him and willing to do anything to protect those he loves. It doesn’t hurt either that he’s tall dark and handsome and oozes a sex appeal that Bryce was not prepared for. Watching these two dance around their mutual attraction was quite fun but also intriguing because Bryce knows there’s a story there, but she can’t put her finger on exactly what it is and who’s ultimately involved!
Ms. Perry has done a fabulous job of creating an element of suspense that carries throughout the book having me sitting on the edge of my seat at different times. There’s an edge to Bryce and Dash’s relationship which just makes their interactions that much more passionate in every way possible. The book moves at a great pace given the subject matter and that a crime that needs to be solved.
Once these two cross that proverbial line, everything changes for both of them. But will it be to their detriment? Is someone out to get the members of the now disbanded MC? What secrets are revealed that leave several people reeling? All of this and more is revealed in this amazing first book of this new series. I cannot wait for Riven Knight!!
This was a really fresh take on an MC club. There was amazing suspense, witty banter and characters you couldn’t help but like. Dash and Bryce were like oil and water from the start of the story and I loved seeing their interactions. I could feel their chemistry right from the start of the book and couldn’t wait to see them finally give on to what they both wanted. As the story progressed I found my self really needing to know what was going to happen. What that big scene was going to be and I’ll admit I was shocked with a lot of the twists and turns. I don’t want to give too much away but it was a very enjoyable, different and refreshing read. I can’t wait for the next book. Im sure it is going to fill in any blanks that this story had. It is a standalone but it’s one of those books that leaves you wanting more and needing more answers. I’m also adding I was happy to see a little of Nick! I loved him in this author’s other series) 4 stars #2OCCJD
Ever since I heard that Devney was going to write this book, I have been so excited. I love MC books and all of her other books so I knew that this would be no exception.
Even though this isn’t your typical MC book, it was amazing. You get banter, suspense and the steam! I loved every single word of it. The characters are great. I loved Dash and Bryce!
This is the first book in the Tin Gypsy series. I cannot wait for the next book. Another amazing job Devney!
5 Stars!
4.5 stars
Gypsy King is the first book in the Tin Gypsy series and is Dash and Bryce’s story.
I had super high hopes for this book from the second I saw the cover. I didn’t even read the blurb. The cover and the authors name was enough for me. I went into this expecting it to grab me from the start but it took me a few chapters to really get into it. Once I did though nothing was making me put this book down.
Reporter Bryce has returned home after pursuing what she thought was her dream career. Now she’s writing for the local paper but there’s only so many wedding announcements a reporter can make before the need for a bigger story takes hold. And what better story than trying to find out why the local MC club suddenly disbanded. I’ve got to give credit to Bryce, she’s strong, knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. I didn’t exactly love her at first but once I got to see the other side of her I absolutely adored her. She really is a fantastic character.
Dash is the owner of the local garage and a former member of the Tin Gypsy MC. This guy won me over within seconds. He’s hot, loyal, he’s done bad things in the past but he’s trying to be a better man now. When he first sees Bryce the intense chemistry between them is hard to ignore but once he finds out who she is, it adds another complication and more of a reason than ever to keep his distance, which he soon finds out is easier said than done.
There’s plenty going on in this story to keep your attention. What started off as an expose soon turns into something so much bigger. The way it’s all tied in is brilliant, it kept me guessing right until the end and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
“She was more than under my skin
She was in there. Deeper than I wanted to admit to myself”.
Well, this book turned out to be nothing at all like I expected. I expected MC with all the angst and hotness, like MC books I have read before but it wasn’t like that at all.
Gypsy King was different, it was more like a murder mystery.
The MC had closed the gates and the MC was no more, a decision made by members after too many lives lost. The once-troubled town was now a ghost town with trouble no longer knocking on its doors by rival clubs.
Dash is the ex-president of the Gypsy Kings, he runs a garage along with previous members of the club and his father Draven who was also once the president of the MC.
Dash and the ex MC members have lead a normal quiet life since closing the MC down until there’s a murder of a woman visiting the small town and all evidence is pointing towards Dash’s father who was last seen at the woman’s hotel.
Dash has no choice but to find clues and prove his dad has been set up before he is sent down for a murder he didn’t commit.
Bryce is the new reporter in town, she’s pushy and on a mission to dig up dirt on the Gypsy Kings and prove Draven’s guilty but she ends up working alongside Dash to find the murderer.
Bryce is looking to prove Draven guilty, Dash to prove his innocence, they butt heads but can’t deny the chemistry between them.
Dash has all the swagger, charm and cocky attitude of an MC president, I loved him, he may not run an MC anymore but he was definitely ALL That!
Gypsy King is a really good read, an enemies to lovers romance, it wasn’t what I expected from when that cover first caught my eye but it’s a damn good read, one I couldn’t put down anyway and I loved the twists and turns, the plot, the hot moments and the swoon-worthy hea.
I am so looking forward to more in this series, hoping for answers left unsaid in this book regarding other characters and I will be anxiously awaiting the next book.
Arc received for review purposes
This is my first Devney Perry read, I know I have a couple others purchased, I just haven’t had a chance to read them yet. I will get there, I promise. She weaves a great book with this storyline, secrets, lies, betrayal, enemies to lovers and though we get HEA ending, there are some questions left unanswered. This is a great lead in for the next book in this new series.
Bryce has moved from Seattle to the small town to help her father run the family newspaper. She is liking this change but has this internal need for her one big story. She has set her sights on the reason for the folding of the Tin Gypsy MC club. When she set out for her story she wasn’t prepared for Kingston “Dash” Slater and all he had to offer. Determined to get what she wants, she won’t back down and let him push her away. Now she just has to fight this chemistry and attraction to get the job done.
Dash has expected the changes in his life since the closing of the Tin Gypsy MC club. They are doing fabulous at the garage and it is nice to not be shunned when walking through town. Being looked at like an upstanding citizen. But when the past comes crashing back and threatens his family, all is set aside to find answers. Quickly realizing he needs help in solving the mystery, he decided to keep the sexy report in his back pocket instead of her working against them. He never expected her to get under his skin though, to look forward to their time together and the need to protect her.
Can these two find some even ground in the grey area that blends the black and white between right and wrong?
This book grabbed my interest very quickly. The chemistry and the characters were great. I look forward to following the series to see what else from the past will seep in and cause havoc. Or will this be more about the second changes that are there once you leave the life behind?

Off to a running start, this new series by Devney Perry, promises to be fantastic! With a story that includes romance and mystery, Devney has crafted a new world of interesting, strong characters that already have my attention and interest. Bryce and Dash are a match made in the cauldron of hot, intense males and strong, intelligent and beautiful women. Gorgeous!
With plenty of action, a plot full of interest and intrigue, this book has enough going on to gladden the heart of every reader who relishes kicking back and being told a tale by a top class story teller. Cannot wait for the next episode
