Alix was embarrassed and hurt 4 years ago when her brother’s best friend, Ross, refused to take her to prom and, afterward, deflower her. She had adored him since she was 13 but now she couldn’t get far enough away from him. She definitely made an effort by going clear across the country to college and having nothing to do with him. After 4 years, though, she’s home and her parents are throwing a party. It’s not for her, apparently, but for their own friends. Who should happen to be there but the devil himself, Ross Rivers. He manages to trip and fall into the pool and flails around until Alix saves him. There just might be something between the two of them because Ross is sorry for what happened all those years ago and lets a different side show through. Alix suggests a make-out session that only they will know about. It’s witty, cute, frustrating and sweet. Ross shows himself to have a caring heart and he’s a good son! A well-written addition to the Alphalicious Billionaires series. I recommend it!
Alix has loved Ross all her life. He used to look after her with her brother. On the night of her prom, she’s stood up and asks Ross to take her and her v-card. He refuses and the hate begins. A few years later, she graduates from college. Her parents throw her a party (which no one really acknowledges her) and she runs in to Ross. Those love/hate feelings emerge once again. So to settle things once and for all, she offers him a simple proposal.
**Little spoilers** I’ve read several this Lindsey Hart’s books, but this one is missing something. The plot promises to be good, but falls a little short. I would’ve like to see some more development of their relationship from after the proposal to the end of the book. It kinda of skips ahead weeks/months at a time. I’m sure of key character development happened during this time. Once he realizes he loves her, he never tells her. Yes, he shows it, but it’s never said out loud. Sometimes, that’s just as important. It still gets three stars from me because I love her work and the characters. I just wish it was more to the story. I wouldn’t have minded a longer book to make up for the lack of depth in some areas.

This is the eighth book in the Alphalicious Billionaires Series and it’s been a great series. This is Alix and Ross’s story. He was her brother’s best friend and her crush until he refused to take her V card. Heartbroken, she left for college feeling rejected by the playboy. This story had been in stitches at times and tears running down my cheeks at other times. Emotional and steamy. Their chemistry was off the charts and their second chance came after many twists and turns. A good read.
Her first love and her last love!
by sewsummore
Alix had loved Ross forever, for a while there she had thought she hated him but it had been a lie, he had been her first love and her last love. Their lives had been entwined since she was a child, he was her brother’s best friend, both their parents were best friends, even when she avoided him deep down she knew she loved him. For Ross it had been different, she was his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she came home after college he finally saw her as a woman. The characters in this story had a love hate relationship for many years, but when he really needed a friend she was there for him. This was a story full of heartbreak but that all disappeared when Ross sees Alix for the woman she had become. I deplored her brother’s behavior and lack of empathy for his sister when she was hurt and even more when Alix and Ross got together.

Action packed, sexy, fun and emotionally engaging second chance journey filled with exciting charters, witty banter and undeniable passion…. was a thrilling read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this journey and look forward to more.
Alix in love with Ross as in forever. High school crush on her brothers best friend. You can’t break the bro code sleeping with your best friend sister. Alix is made at Ross for not taking her to the prom and sleeping with her. After 4 years of college Alix returns home to a party for her and gets ignored by the people there. Although they are her parents friend. You would have thought they would have paid some attention to her. Ross comes to apologize to Alix for the way he treated her 4 years ago. He wants things they way they use to be between them and not avoiding him and his parents. Ross trips, hits his head, and falls into the pool. Alix saves him. Things change, people change and you will have to read the book to see what happens after the rescue. I enjoyed reading another book by Lindsey. There were a lot of immature people in this story.

Lindsey Hart’s Steamy Proposal (Alphalicious Billionaires Book 8)This is a well written book, fantastic storyline, lovable characters, sizzling chemistry, steamy scenes and a simple journey as long as we follow three simple rules:
Rule #1. It would be only one night. Rule #2. No one should know. Rule #3. When it’s over, we are going to pretend it never happened. Nothing can go wrong….Right!?

The first book by Lindsey Hart that i am not so into…….and i really look fwd to her books…. but unfortunately this book just did not do it for me….
I found the dialogue a bit immature especially when it comes to Chance.. thats no way for a man in his late 20s to speak never mind behave. There was just no personality to the other characters , especially Alix’s parents…..she arrives home from graduating and there is a party in progress and no one greets her!!!!! She saves Ross from drowning and no one thanks her!!!!
There are a few funny moments but unfortunately overall this wasnt one of the greatest books that I’ve read from the author …

Alix has loved her older brother’s best friend Ross for as long as she can remember but he just treated her like a little sister. After college Alix is back home and is determined to win Ross over. This is a forbidden romance with an entertaining storyline and a good addition to the Alphalicious Billionaires series.
Loved the premise of a woman, Alix, whose irresponsible, older brother, Chance, and his rich, best bud, Ross, basically babysat her even though they were only 4 years older. The parents were best friends but her parents were gone a lot and Ross’s parents were like 2nd parents. Alix has always liked Ross but the problems began when she asked him to take her to prom. Many situations transpire and misunderstandings and hurt feelings abound. This is a really great read with a few twists and turns!

We have a brothers best friend who likes his best friends sister and she likes him. Ross refused to go to the Prom with Alix, so she had to go by herself. Alix can’t forgive him, even though it would have been wrong for him to bring her being a lot older them her. He is rich now and she is back from college. What will happen? Can she ever forgive him? Will he take a chance now if she will let him? Can they come together? You swill laugh and cry at points.

My mantra for the first 8 chapters was, “I like Lindsey Hart, this has got to get better, I like Lindsey Hart, this has got to get better.” It did, in chapter 9, but then faltered again. I found the characters extremely disjointed throughout the book. Alix comes home from college to a party that is supposedly for her and no one talks to her. *Spoiler* Ross is drowning at said party and no one notices? Alix goes in to rescue and no one thanks her? Ross is taken inside to rest after almost drowning and no one comes to check on him? Ross says his mother loves Alix but even she doe not talk to her at her own party?
I also found the 3 main characters mean and extremely immature. Throughout the book, Hart writes that Ross, Chance, and Alix have always behaved that way, but it really was ridiculous how awful they were to each other.
By chapter 9, there seemed to be a shift in the mood of the book and the temperament of the characters. i actually started enjoying what I was reading. The deeper feeling of Ross and Alix were exposed and it drew them not only toward each other, but made for a better story as well.
There were a few funny parts involving a burned cake, oven mitts, and a few surprised guests. The ending was just okay for me. I don’t want to give any ore away than I already have but for me, a HEA involves BOTH parties declaring their love. It was implied, of course, but I want the words from both the hero and the heroine. It’s a shame, I usually like Lindsey Hart, but this was just not her best for me.
This book was fun-loving. It was a love/hate toss-up for Alix. Alix Deroy and Ross Rivers had known each other their whole lives. Ross was best friends with Alix’s brother, Chance. What Ross didn’t know that since the age of 13, Alix had been in love with him. Ross always thought of Alix as his little sister. After four years of college and being away, Alix returns home hoping that Ross will now see her as a woman, not a kid. But not even then does he take her seriously. It takes an illness of a family member and spending days together for months for Ross to see Alix for the woman she really is. This was a great story. I highly recommend this book!
I generally adore Lindsey Hart’s books but I had a little trouble getting in to this story. Maybe it was because the characters acted so immature and irritating at first. It got better as I read on.
Alix believed she was in love with her brother’s best friend, Ross, since she was 13. The boys, of course, avoided her at all costs, being 4 years older. For Alix’s high school prom, after being stood up by her date, Alix had a really odd set of requests for Ross. But he turned her down. She hated him ever since. She crossed the country to go to college, graduated, and now she’s home attending her graduation party. Guess who’s there with a date? Why was he invited? How can she face the jerk?? What does the self-centered a$$ want?? Read the book to see what this crazy couple comes up with now!

OH, WOW!!!
I was hooked from chapter one!! The chemistry and heat between Alix and Ross keeps you up all night, reading “just one more chapter!” This was the first book I have read in the series and I eagerly look forward to reading more!!!
Tormentor’s Match
The harassment is over-the-top with Ross & Chance (Alix’s brother) picking on Alix from a young age into adulthood. She’s learned to fight back with words. Once she’s graduated, she moves to another city to further her education for a few years. Upon her return, she finds their attitudes toward her haven’t changed at all. The bantering continues. With life-altering news in his family, Ross feels broken & we get to see another side of him. A side which surprises Alix & she likes this other better side where they agree on a truce. Her message is clear on who she wants & Ross has opened his eyes & heart to her.
Besides the mean comments among the 3 of them, the novel is a great story with humorous parts with Ross & Alix getting caught in different scenarios. They have to decide on whether to continue to see each other exclusively against the threats thrown by Chance on what he’ll do if they ever get into a relationship or just be civilized towards each other & date other people. A few pleasant surprises await you!

Lindsey Hart has once again succeeded in capturing my mind, heart and emotions in one book. Alix and Ross had known each other since they were little kids. Because her brother Chance and Ross were so close, they considered his parents their second parents and their home, their second home. Alix had been the pesty little sister and the boys had been her tormentors. Current day, Alix and Ross bicker and fight like they ate still children, all while Alix harbors mixed feelings bout him. I found these characters to be well round and well defined, along with a story line that was more believable than some would like, even to touching on serious subjects. I always enjoy books written by Ms. Hart, and this one does not disappoint.

Spoiler Alert: The book had some funny moments but the crazy tension between Ross and Alix and the fight with Ross and Chance as best friends and Chance being Alix’s protective older brother and Alix almost catching the kitchen on fire loved it
