But this time I’m calling the shots.

1:Hate IT! Didn’t finish; usually only given if/when some contents truly objectionable (i.e. main characters does something awful & gets away w/it!)
2:Don’t like IT! Rating means I felt the writing was poor, editing was bad, I don’t care for characters, or book had some major flaw.
3: I like IT, BUT! There are minor issues… Rating means there’s editing issues, needs character development, is too unrealistic, or has issues– I do not consider it an overall bad rating.
4:I like IT a lot. Great, Solid Story w/ few if any inconsistencies or errors. This is a HIGH Rating, & I rarely give OUT a Higher Rating.
5: I LOVE IT! It’s Spectacular, & I’ll read IT Over & Over Again. Few books Receive this rating from me. HowEver, those that DO become Classics.

This is the beautiful story of Alix and Ross. Alix has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Ross since she was a young teenager. She is home after 4 years of being away for school. Her parents threw her a graduation party and invited everyone including Ross and she is not happy to see him. Ross has always been around and protected Alix alongside her brother since she was born and cannot understand why she avoids him and his family and why she is so angry. When circumstances bring them together, will they be able to put aside their emotions to get through it? Will Ross ever see the way Alix feels before it’s too late? The characters are genuine, complex and fun. The storyline has intrigue, ups and downs, and moments of growth. It is a great read!

Love That Lasts a Lifetime
Lindsey Hart’s newest offering, Steamy Proposal, in the tales of Alphalicious Billionaires, is a delightful addition to the collection. Alix Deroy has known Ross Rivers her whole life—he is her brother, Chance’s, best friend. And she loves Ross. She loved him when she was a child who babysat for her. She loved him as a young adolescent who wanted him to take her to the prom when her date went MIA. Because she loved him, she asked him to be her first to take her V-card–which he flatly refused to do. And, now 4 years later, as an adult, she still loves him, but she also hates him—hates his refusal to see her as anyone other than her brother’s sister, a bratty, younger girl, who doesn’t really know what she wants.
But, the war to win Ross’s affections is not over. And, now she is an adult—a recent college graduate who has come home to seek a job. She has a plan and fate provides the opportunity. When Ross is assaulted, hitting his head as he is pushed into the pool by an irate date whom he called by another girl’s name, Alix dives in and rescues the dazed and injured Ross. Moved to her room to be tended for the head injury he sustained, Alix cares for his injury, and also uses the opportunity to propose a truce to the on-going tense relations between them—she will no longer cast shade in his direction if he will punch her V-card.
Lindsey Hart offers her readers the machinations of another delicious billionaire in need of a wife. Hart allows her readers to observe the dance of love as a determined Alix wages war to prove to Ross that he is a man of character and not the image of an immature playboy that he and her brother present to the world–that he is worthy of being loved, especially by her.

I really enjoyed this one, but I wish it had been longer because I wasn’t ready for it to end! A definite recommended read!
Though I had reviewed this eons ago since I read it eons ago..In november- but tis what it is So Alix comes back from college claiming how she is all grown up and hates her brother Chance’s best friend Ross. first all all of them were immature. Alix who supposedly wants nothing to do with Ross jumps on the chance immediately to have him supposedly pay for ignoring her when they were young..yeah

I did not care too much for the beginning of the book. But it became interesting towards the end. I have to say that it is not the best book from this author.

A second chance at sleeping with her crush with no strings attached. What can go wrong. This is a well-written story with characters that have a past which she wants to follow-up on. Can she get past what happened in her past and will he go for it. Must read

Alix has had feelings for Ross for most of her life but when she asked him to take her to prom he rejected her. So every break from college she timed it so she wouldn’t run into him. Now she is home for good after four years away and Ross isn’t going to let her keep avoiding him. Ross never looked at Alix as anything but his friend’s younger sister but when she is still fuming over what happened he knows they need to find a way to have a truce. So they make an agreement where he will give her the experience of being with him minus the actual sex part. However he never counted on it making him start developing feelings for her. When they both end up at their favorite spot at the same time they have it out and then she learns that Ross could really use of friend because of a family thing going on with him. Just as things were starting to go well between them her brother catches them. Will Ross end things between them because of her brother? Can they make things work between them?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I really enjoyed reading Steam Proposal. The mystery that Alix created with Ross, her brothers best friend and Chance her obnoxious brother. Alix became infatuated with Ross in grade school and fell in love in high school. She asked him to take her to the Prom and he denied her, one because he had babysat her growing up, two because he was four years older than her and three because he knew she wanted him to deflower her. Of course she hated him all through college. When she came home their relationship began to change for them. Please read the book to find out the trials they go through to bring them to the HEA promised.

What a phenomenally emotional new book in the Alphalicious Billionaires series by Lindsey Hart. Alix has been in love with Ross since childhood but was never given the time of day due to his friendship with her older brother. Fast forward 4 years and Alix is back in their hometown and feelings she thought long gone resurface and things between Alix and Ross begin to change. Steamy Proposal is a captivating must read that readers won’t want to put down. Filled with so much heart and wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I really loved reading this book and can’t wait to read more from Lindsey Hart.

Lindsey Hart really knows how to write a story with so believable characters with story lines that just drawl you in. You see the story from both sides and you are able to understand why people do the things they do at that time and how things might have been different if there was better communication. Another hit for Lindsey! This is the eighth story in the Alphalicious Billionaire series. They can be read one after another or as individual stand alone stories.
Alix has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Ross, since she was 13 and he was 17. Their families have been close since their fathers met in college, regardless that one family is very wealthy and the other is upper middle class. Alix was the younger kid that followed her brother and his best friend around so they constantly thought of her as the pesky little kid. When Alix was stood up for her prom, she asked Ross to take her to prom, plus punch her v-card. She was tired of being the only 18 year old virgin in town. He blatantly turned her down. After she graduated, she left town to go to college across the country. She only went home when she absolutely had to and avoided seeing Ross whenever she could. When she graduated college and came home, her parents were throwing her a party for her graduation. Yeah, right. The party started hours before she got there and it was mainly her parents friends, not for her. She ends up saving Ross’ life when he falls into the pool and hits his head underwater, since he doesn’t know how to swim.
Ross has been looking after Alix since she was a small kid. Her parents didn’t trust her older brother to be responsible for her, even though the boys were the same age. He had kind of thought of her as his little sister, until she got older. When she asked him to take her to the prom, and afterwards, he had to turn her down. That was supposed to be something special. Then she left and they barely saw each other over the next four years. Being their families were very close, his family noticed it. When Alix came home for graduation, he didn’t think of her as his little sister anymore. She was a full blown woman. When she sees him one time when he was really down, they were able to open up to each other and then they became friends and companions. Things started to change between them.

A really fun, well written, fast pace, and well developed young adult romance! It is a romantic, sweet, funny, exciting, emotionally deep, and sometimes frustrating page turner. The characters are bold, likeable, and sometimes childish with amazing chemistry between them; I really enjoyed the back and forth and witty banter between them. . Definitely recommended!

I read several of Lindsey Hart’s book and I have to say this one took a little to get through, but in the end was well worth it.
Ross and Alix story is full of misunderstandings and pain. Once the they over came the hurt feelings and opened up they were able to see each other in a new light.
The writing was fun and heart warming. It had each character keeping on their toes with the barbs back and forth.

Utterly Delightful Reading!
A delightful way to spend my time with lovely reading material provided by Ms. Hart. All good: story, characterizations, believable, ease of prose, yummy romance (oh, and the main male character was yummy as well). A romance to make a reader sigh upon completion of the book.
