Alix had a crush on her brother’s best friend forever. She asked him to prom, which Ross declined, he new she wants something else from him.
Now, Alix is back home after finishing college and she still hates Ross.
Nice story. I did enjoy it.
The author has given us characters that pull us into their lives. Alix has had a crush on Ross forever. When she graduates from college and returns home, Ross is there, as usual. They try to continue their antagonistic relationship, however, this time is more difficult. They have an attraction that they both try to fight against.

Alix returned home from college and immediately runs into Ross, her
older brother’s best friend. She has always loved Ross and he broke her heart when he refused to take her to prom and take her virginity. Ross has complicated feelings for Alix and they have to sort out their feelings.
I thoroughly enjoyed the character development and loved the story. It was a fun read.

This was a good story! Alix didn’t know how to get around her feelings for Ross. She had them for soo many years, she just couldn’t stand him anymore! Then one night on the water tower. She sees behind his mask and now she is lost! Lots of feels and an HEA!

Holy Hotness I absolutely loved this book. The storyline flowed from the beginning until the end and I loved the characters and I am so wanting more from Alix and Ross.
I thought this book had a fun storyline idea but I can’t say that I was a fan of the characters. In the end I thought that this was just an OK read which was a disappointment because I’m a big fan of forbidden romances. I am electing to post a candid review.
Alix Deroy has returned home after college graduation to find a party in full swing. It’s supposed to be for her, but they’re mainly her parents’ friends. Then the bane of Alix’s life walks in – Ross Rivers. Alix has been in love with him since she was 13. After all he’s hot with his black hair and cobalt blue eyes. But Alix still remembers how he broke her heart when he refused to take her to her high school prom and take her virginity. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
Ross has come to the party to apologize to Alix for how he treated her 4 years ago when he refused to act on her 2 requests of prom and sex. He wants her to stop avoiding him and have everything go back the way it had been. When Ross trips, hits his head, and falls into the pool, it is Alix who saves him. When he asks her to stop ghosting him and his family, she agrees with a stipulation. He must agree to make out with her. When Ross hesitates, Alix shoots back at him with a quip about her brother, Chance, had told her that she was not a blonde and too ugly for Ross to screw her.
Read on to discover what Ross’ stipulations and secrets are. How will Alix react? What will become of them? Lindsey Hart has delivered yet another wonderful reading treat for us to enjoy!

This is a very well written romance story with a smooth flowing, well thought out plot that keeps you interested and turning the pages. Alix has loved Ross most of her life, but he’s best friends with her brother, so it’s never been anything but sisterly love that he’s felt for her. Alix is home from college and she is bound and determined to get her man! I loved the relationship dynamics between the characters, they are funny, lovable, and are well developed. Definitely recommend!

Three and a half
The story centers around Ross and Alix , childhood family friends. She always had a crush on him while he considered her his best friend’s little sister. Just before high school graduation she propositions him and is rebuffed. She has now returned home after graduating college. She despises him because of his rejection, avoids him at all costs and yet is still attracted to him at her core. He has no idea what her problem is, but has she been holding a grudge for four years?
I wasn’t a huge fan of this book. The storyline seemed like it might be interesting but it never took off. Ms. Hart’s style of writing usually has interesting characters, realistic dialogue and clever banter. This book fell short on all fronts.
Alix has had such a crush on Ross since she was 13 years old. Ross saw Alix as the bratty little sister of his best friend. When Ross refused to take Alix to her prom after she was dumped by her boyfriend, she was so humiliated she avoided him for four years. Until she returns from college and she offers Ross a proposition. Loved this book read straight through in one sitting.
