Every royal has their dirty little secret. His was… me.
It should have been simple.
Go to the ball, meet the prince, and secure his patronage for my favorite charity.
But beneath the mask, the brooding beast of a man was not at all who I expected.
He was dark and intense and eerily quiet.
When I left, I could still feel the ghost of his touch branded into my skin.
He haunted my dreams, but … into my skin.
He haunted my dreams, but I never expected to see him again.
Then he came for me.
And he took me.
And I learned that his darkness was a void I never could have conceived.
He’s the crown prince.
And, now, I’m his captive.

Sinisterly delicious! What a terrific spin on a fairytale that goes deeper into depths no one knew Cinderella endured. Discover truths behind the smile. Embrace her journey, discoveries and secrets uncovered and lift the veil off the fairytale you THOUGHT was Cinderella.
GAH!! I have been so obsessed with A. Zavarelli and her amazing stories for years! I personally feel like she can write anything ranging from dark mafia to contemporary to anything under the sun. Her stories are solid gold! For that reason when I heard that she was writing a dark spin on the classic Cinderella fairytale I could not be happier. I loved her story Beast and knew that this author’s immeasurable talent and incomparable storytelling ability would blow me away. Testament to this fact, I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Ella and Thorsen. They are one of my favorite couples from this author to date!!
This story was raw, edgy, sexy and emotional. I loved Thorsen and Ella’s connection. They were the perfect couple, opposites in many ways but so in tune with one another despite their differences. She was the fire he needed to light up the cold and dark places in his heart. Furthermore, I loved how she brought out such deep emotions in the seemingly unemotional and stoic Prince. I also loved how captivated the dominant Prince was of the submissive Ella. Without realizing it, they both needed one another to fill the painful voids in their respective lives. This story was absolutely magnificent and I for one can not have enough of Zavarelli’s words! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
“Never stop fighting for the beauty in life. You will find it, even in the darkness, if you choose to look. ”
Ever read a story and despite the scene being completely inappropriate, you find yourself smirking at the destruction a character leaves in their wake?
Or maybe, find yourself whispering “that’s right, the karma bus has arrived ”
Stealing Cinderella had me doing that and a whole lot more
There were a couple of “questionable” scenes that caused me to grimace and for a brief moment I questioned my moral compass (it passed)
I’ve always been a bit of a fan of the Cinderella tale.
The beaten-down stepchild who gets her revenge and rubs it in –
Come on we all know that’s the definition of a good fairy tale
From downtrodden peasant to the queen of the mountain
This has all the hallmarks I expect from a good fairy tale
Lots of impossible possibilities
Some very twisted characters
And a whole lot of ” oh he ll no” moments that will cause the toughest of dark lovers to pause and possibly elicit a cringe
Thor is so messed up – that man needs more than a therapist
Ella, as it should be, is the light that shines through the blackest of nights
Lavinia, you straight up scare me
Narcissa your just a sad excuse for a mammal
Mor, I wish you a swift journey
King arsehat should have seen that coming
Zavarelli gives Cinderella a whole new look
I like this sootier side
A fabulous addition to the Sinister fairy tales Collection
WOWZER!!! Everything about this sinister and seductive fairytale excited me.
I love a twist on a classic especially if it feeds my passion for Dark Romance and Stealing Cinderella certainly did that.
Prince Thorsen is no Prince Charming but he’s still devilishly dark and dashing, the kind of character that makes an instant impression. His darkness lures you in so you’ll want to uncover all his secrets. GAH!!! I bloody loved this Dark Prince.
Ella is a kind hearted soul forced to endure a miserable existence, but this girl is a survivor.
I adored her steely determination and grit.
This twisted fairytale is a fantastic dark fantasy brought to life in the most thrilling, passionate and intoxicating way.
It held me under its spell from the beginning, I’ve loved every minute with Thor and Ella and their sinister fairytale romance.
What an exceptional retelling of the beloved fairytale.
This story is not only what I expect from a Zavarelli book.
But it is so much more,it exceeded all my expectations!
I love how this author writes.
I love her plots.
And I love her characters.
So I knew without a doubt I was going to read a remarkable book.
Once I started and just couldn’t stop until I got to “The End”.
The minute Thorsen was introduced in the book.
I was so intrigued and captivated by him.
Thor is next in line to the throne of Norway.
He’s hated by the press and feared by the people.
But there is so much depth to him.
He is not what you see is what you get.
Thor only shows the world an image of himself as the mean broody man.
But the dimensions of him are so complicated and so intricate.
He’s like a mystery to be solved.
Or a puzzle to put together.
Ella is a compassionate big hearted young lady that I fell in love with right away.
Life has only given her hardships and pain.
But in spite of all of it she hasn’t lost her spark and happiness.
Ella is like a lovely spring day or a beautiful rainbow.
She’s warm and glowing and brings a smile to the face.
When Ella mistakes Thorsen for someone else both their lives will take a turn neither saw coming.
Their story is emotional and is so intense.
There where parts of the story that had me literally holding my breath and my heart pounding so hard.
I was crying at points because my heart hurt so much.
And times I had tears slowly leaking from my eyes because I was so touched by what I was seeing.
Yes I said seeing and not reading because the author gave such vivid details and descriptions I forgot I was reading.
I was seeing a story unfold in my mind and bringing it to life for my eyes.
This is a very emotional gut wrenching book.
A journey of two people with broken souls.
But I was enthralled and deeply captivated with it.
I would absolutely recommend NOT reading anything that contains spoilers in it!
To get the full experience of this superb story the blurb is enough.
I would recommend though to keep plenty of tissues on hand.
A standing ovation to Ms. Zavarelli for writing such an incredible unforgettable story!
Stealing Cinderella
A.Zavarelli
Spectacular. Raw. Not your normal fairytale.
I’ve followed Ms Zavarelli since her very first story, and with each one she creates amazing characters that are so broken and their women who break into their worlds and hearts. We’ve all read the fairytale of Cinderella, we know Ella and her aweful step mothers and sisters. Stealing Cinderella tells an updated version with heart racing devastation that will keep you up at night, and page turning till the very end!
Crown Prince Thor’s Lykken of Norway, is broken and damaged. He’s set to take over as king, and must be married to do so. He’s not the least bit interested in either. He doesn’t love, he uses and has a very dark side. A tough upbringing and formative years, an older man is still haunted each and everyday.
Ella Laurent, had the perfect father, until he was murdered, and she was forced into living with her aweful step mother and sisters. Just as with the fairytale, she’s is treated with no care for her life, or wellbeing. She lives her life and has a deep care for the animals she crooks after at the local shelter, as it is on foreclosure, she has the opportunity to attend a royal ball, where she hopes to meet Prince Aston and get him to help save the farm.
Sadly her prince is hidden behind a mask and she serves him a speech hoping that he’ll help, what she doesn’t expect is it to be Prince Thorsen, and his nasty response. Running from the man she leaves the ball and returns to her crappy life, while he returns to his grand life and castle with the memory of the woman, and shoe and the firecracker attitude. He wants to find her, keep her, mark her. Leaving no stone unturned, he returns to Cranbrook, he discovers who she is and takes her away. He uses his messed up life to mark and destroy her, never seeing that she is fixing him. But with no help growing up, he’s cautious to any woman… Ella is no difference.
Ella has been burnt, beaten and debased while living under the thumb of the step monsters, so she takes some of what Thorsen dishes out a cathartic. As much as he needs the darkness and harsh treatments, she discovers she craves it, enjoyed it. Together they are a damaged pair, but apart they can destroy each other. They will discover how much they need each other, and turn the worlds they’ve been cruelty dealt into he possibility of a life they both craved! Overcoming their hurdles is like climbing Mt Everest in a tornado… yep the story is just like that!!!!
Enjoy this windy road of every emotion, it’s not sweet, and sexy. It’s deep, dark and truly amazing!
