She’s ready to leave Prosper behind, forever. So why did she have to meet him, of all times, and at all places? That was never the plan.
USA Today bestselling author Heather B. Moore welcomes you to Prosperity Ranch!
Disaster seems to follow Evie Prosper’s dating life everywhere. A fresh start can only mean leaving Prosper forever, which is what she’s determined to do, until she meets Carson … she’s determined to do, until she meets Carson Hunt. He unknowingly saves her from another dating disaster, yet their paths keep crossing. Carson is relocating to Prosper of all places, and if Evie could change that one thing about him, she might rethink their connection.

Where was Carson when I needed him?!
I loved Carson! Where was he when I needed him? He was just the man that Evie needed. He stood up for Evie and supported her with no pressure. If Evie didn’t want to live in Prosper after graduation then he would follow her wherever she wanted to go. He could read her like a book and asked her pointed questions about her actions or reactions. He wanted to understand her. It wasn’t all about him although he did have his moments and during those times Evie was there for him. This was such a nice clean read. I feel like I can relax and read Ms Moore’s books and not cringe at what was written. This is a very well written story but I have come to expect nothing less from Ms Moore. Now on to book three.
If you’ve read my review of the first book in the Prosperity Ranch series, One Summer Day, you will know that this series did not have a great start for me personally, so when I picked up Steal My Heart I was hesitant. I am pleased to say that this book was a much more pleasant experience for me, and heightened my love for this series exponentially!
Evie and Carson are adorable!! From their unique first meeting, and all the chance meetings afterward, you could easily see the writing on the wall, but it was charming nonetheless. The town of Prosper is still what I remembered from the first book, but the author did a wonderful job of adding information from the first book here and there, so if you haven’t read the first installment, or it’s been awhile since you’ve read it and need a refresher, you don’t feel lost or like you’re missing anything. In other words, it’s a great standalone!
The writing flows beautifully, and is in the perfect Heather B. Moore style, and I finished this book quite quickly. I must admit that Carson Hunt STOLE my heart! He was hands down my favorite character, and I thoroughly savored the love that grew between him and Evie.
I now can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, Not Over You. Knox Prosper has been on my radar since the first book, and I can’t wait to hear his side of the story.
Big smiles after this one. It was just the pick-me-up I needed! I love this series but this has been my favorite this far!
Romance, clean, contemporary; Series, but stand alone read
Evie and Carson’s story was a compelling, honest, heartfelt read. I loved Carson’s devotion, his kindness, caring, and his very beautiful sweet romancing of Evie. Seeing her, seeing her beauty, talents, and her pure heart. They both had moments of growth, introspection, kindness, and just seeing the other person in a way that helped them both shine. Strong side characters, lovely setting, and Carson, such a worthy, swoony hero in this novel. Of all the novels, this is my favorite.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review, my opinions are my own.
LOVED IT!!! Evie starts out seeming a bit fickle, but we quickly get to know her and understand her vulnerabilities and source of naiveté. She is easily likeable which makes it realistic for Carson to fall for her. Carson- he is something else. Almost too good to be true! I appreciated his level of maturity and confidence, his self-awareness of the struggles he faces and acceptance that he is handling his grief in his own way. Despite that, he is open and friendly, and perfect for Evie with his consideration and compassion. His confidence rubs off on her and I loved seeing her recognize her own strength and capabilities. This is the kind of romance that for me is just such a pleasure and even comforting to read, and I needed it at a time like this (for future reference- the COVID-19 quarantine). I enjoyed more of the Prosper family and their dynamics and can’t wait for the next book!
(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)
Characters really make or break a book, right? Good thing Heather B. Moore really knows how to create characters with definable personalities that draw you in. I enjoyed Evie and Carson separately and together. Their relationship had a steady progression that felt natural and healthy. I really loved the way Carson believed in Evie and stood up for her no matter who that meant he was confronting. That is such an attractive trait. The confidence he displayed helped Evie believe her worth and value as well. Carson was definitely the star of the show in this book.
The Prospers are an interesting family with lots going on. This is the second book in the series and I would really recommend reading this series in order. Even though each book’s focus is on one particular character, this series is all about family and they all appear throughout each book. I really like that this family is flawed as all families are but they are willing to work and change, forgive and support. That’s what a family is to me.

I’m always on the lookout for a great new book I can read. The book needs to take me away from my current situation. It gets bonus points if I can read it quickly and don’t want to put it down. This one did all of those things, I LOVED it!
Evie is the main character. She’s a bit naive. But she’s cute and fun. And Evie has a small secret, she’s never been kissed. Her roommate, Becca, doesn’t even know her secret. I loved the way Evie was. She was down to earth, not at all high maintenance, and driven. She wants to work for a newspaper and she wants to not go back to her hometown of Prosper, Texas to do it.
I loved Carson’s character. He saved Evie when she didn’t even know she needed saving. But she returned the favor later in the book. I really liked the way he noticed Evie and worked to help her, even when she didn’t want help. And he wasn’t after the flashy girls that she knew. He just made her feel safe. And he protected her.
I loved the story line of this one. And that it takes us back to the town of Prosper, with it’s fun characters. And it was fun to see Evie’s family from One Summer Day again. I love series books!
I was sent an e-copy of Steal My Heart as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
I liked reading this second book in the PROSPERITY RANCH series. Evie and Carson were great characters and I loved the ranch setting!
I liked how Evie struggled to find her purpose with life and wanting to be a part of her family but not get swallowed up in the small town and have regrets. It was very real and relatable. I liked how Carson became friends with her and encouraged her, supported her, and defended her. They both complimented each other and I hope to read more about their relationship in future books.
Fun characters and story line with clean romance. Easy to read-highly recommend for a quick afternoon reading.
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
I love how Moore has taken us back to the small town of Prosper and the Prosper family. I loved Holt’s story in One Summer Day and now Evie gets her turn. (You can read this as a stand alone if you want) Moore makes Evie’s story easy to read and relate to, a young woman on her own, but still unsure of herself and wanting to please her family. Carson is a dream man and such a gentleman! It was endearing how he called Evie “sweetness” and treated her like a queen. There are backgrounds to both Evie and Carson that we got to unfold piece by piece and I felt like I was there along with them as they learned about each other. I truly love the Prosper family and all of their love for each other, personalities, and flaws. I look forward to more to come from Moore and hope that Knox, Lane, and Cara get their own stories too! I received a copy of this book for free, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
After reading book one in the Prosperity Ranch series, I would have never guessed at Evie Prosper’s insecurities, or the circumstances that led to them.
In Steal My Heart, Heather B. Moore exposes a character who is almost the complete opposite of Holt Prosper (who we all came to love in One Summer Day) and gives her the hero she needs. Carson Hunt is Evie’s protector from their first meeting, but he also gives her the strength and encouragement she needs to discover her courage. And Carson isn’t without his own hurts from the past.
With pressure from family, emotional wounds surfacing from her past, and her eyes set on a future career that does not include returning to the tiny town of Prosper, can Evie have it all? Or will she have to sacrifice love to live her dream?

Heather B. Moore’s new Prosperity Ranch book, Steal My Heart, is great! I loved the characters. Evie and Carson both had things from their pasts that made them entirely relatable and enjoyable to read about. I liked how they were able to work through vulnerabilities and insecurities with love and patience. It was also fun to see characters from the previous book. I like how important family is to the characters. I really liked this sweet, clean love story with its wonderful ending. I definitely recommend it!
KSteal My Heart is the story of Evie and Carson. Evie is a college senior and Carson is working toward his master’s degree when they meet at a party on their college campus. When she gets in over her head and misreads her situation, Carson steps in and helps extricate her. Later they learn that both are going to Prosper, Texas for spring break – Evie is going home for a visit while Carson is going to help his grandfather, who recently moved to Prosper, get settled. From the beginning, Evie is adamant and wants nothing to do with small town life in Prosper and as Carson spends time in Prosper with Evie, he begins to understand why. How will Evie and Carson resolve their differences about this small town? Will Carson move there to help his grandfather? Will Evie change her mind and return to Prosper? Steal My Heart is a sweet romance with a satisfying HEA ending.
Although this book takes place over a short period of time, it did not feel like an “insta-love” story. Through clever writing and conversations between her characters, Heather B. Moore paints a masterpiece. Her characters are well-defined and the story is compelling. Several serious topics are touched on: familial love, loss of a loved one, divorce and bullying. Each of these issues plays a significant role in the characters’ developments. Although this is book 2 in the Prosperity Ranch series, it can be read as a stand-alone novel. 5 stars!
Prosperity Ranch is the kind of place a person could settle in and be content for the rest of their long life…unless you’re Evie Prosper. This book starts out by showing just how vulnerable and naive Evie is and while she’s desperate to shed her insecure and brother-dominated world, she struggles to voice her opinions and be her own person, except when it comes to Carson and her small hometown, and that’s exactly where the conflict lies.
I enjoyed my second visit to the ranch and love this family, as they once again welcomed me with open arms. To delve deeper into these characters personalities and come to know them more warmed my heart. My favorite thing about this story is the way this author is able to bring the Prosper family to life in ways that make them feel like beloved friends and neighbors. Although they have issues just like anyone else, they’re good people. See? I feel like they’re real, especially as I read this during the Covid-19 pandemic and actually had a few struggles with them not adhering to social distancing, hah!
Carson is every girl’s dream guy and he’s solid, mature, and completely devoted to Evie. Fate definitely plays its hand in this charming and likable story and I can’t wait to come back for more!
Content: mild romance (kissing, party scene)

I am loving this series! It is an easy series to read and it keeps your attention engaged. I loved how in this story we got to read about one of the Prosper sister. I loved how quickly the romance developed between the main characters and that even though they only knew each other a short time, how well they knew and understood each other in that short amount of time. I really am loving this series by Heather B. Moore and i look forward to reading the third book when it comes out!
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
Steal My Heart by Heather B. Moore (4.5 stars)
Lovely, sweet and the perfect escape.
Carson is Evie’s knight in shining armor in more ways than one. They first meet when he physically rescues her, but then he emotionally rescues her over and over again as he uncovers the hurts from her past. (He’s pretty much perfect.)
Evie is kind-hearted and beautiful and doesn’t really believe in herself. She’s naive and innocent and trustworthy. All of these qualities have Carson opening up to her after the painful experiences in his life.
Their love is pretty much insta love (there are some lovely, passionate kisses), but they also have an intense week of learning about one another’s depth of character and past difficult experiences.
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
Evie wants no part of returning to small town Prosper, but her family can’t understand why not. She also struggles to maintain a boyfriend. Yet, when she meets Carson Hunt, he seems different somehow. But, she doesn’t want to be interested if he’s going to follow his grandfather to Prosper.
Carson feels like he’s finally moving on from a personal tragedy 2 years ago and when he meets Evie, he is drawn to her. Yet, there must be a reason why she resists living in Prosper. And, what will he do when he discovers why?
This is a very sweet romance and Carson is absolutely wonderful. He proves to Evie that he’s different from the other guys and supports her decisions. With Carson’s help, Evie slowly begins to understand why she reacts the way she does. But will she allow him to remain in her life? Will she be strong enough to face her fears and insecurities?
I enjoyed this story. The subject matter is not as emotional as book 1, but it still covers a lot of issues facing people today. Book 1 is not necessary, but it does assume you’ve read it already and gives spoilers.

My rating – 5 stars
I enjoyed Heather B Moore’s first book from her Prosperity Ranch series, One Summer Day. Steal My Heart does not disappoint. I absolutely adored this delightful story. Evie and Carson were so much fun. I loved the small town feel.
I am giving Steal My Heart a well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love a sweet and clean romance. I look forward to reading more from Prosperity Ranch series.
I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Evie has had nothing but bad luck with dating. Either her brothers interfere or she is too naive to choose someone worth dating more than once or twice. Then when Carson Hunt saves her from another disastrous date her luck begins to change. Unfortunately he may be moving to her hometown of Prosper, the very place she’s trying to escape. Evie must decide between her heart and her desire to escape her past.
I enjoyed the character development in this story. They seemed very real. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a good romance that is hard to put down.

My thoughts about this book:
• Heather Moore has created two interesting characters with lots of dimensions, Evie and Carson. Their romance touched my heart and I was completely immersed in their story.
• There was ssituational tension and romance in this read that made the plot unpredictable and interesting.
• There were many secondary players in this novel. They were varied, well developed, and interesting. They added depth to the storyline.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• This was a clean read and I appreciated that fact.
I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. This was another great book by Heather B. Moore.
