When I arrived at your resort, I was broken.Emotionally and professionally, I had nothing left. The last three books I published bombed and the ink was barely dry on my divorce papers. The divorce I never saw coming. All I needed was peace and quiet, and you gave it to me.That and so much more.Hope. Courage. Friendship. Passion. The last thing I want to do is leave. But if I stayed, I’d only be … leave.
But if I stayed, I’d only be staying for you.
Staying For You is a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance with a push and pull that will keep you turning the pages.

Best book hangover EVER! Jennifer Van Wyk hooked me with her words in the very first book of the All For You series, Gone For You. Staying For You is not any different and grabbed me from the beginning.
Cami has spent the last eight years married to an uber dick that deserves to be hogtied and left in the middle of a bullpen. Not only is she unhappy, she also has let her unhappiness seep into her writing causing her readers to leave not so nice reviews. To get back to her roots, the place where she was, she decides to escape. Is escaping just what she needs?
Owen is right where he wants to be, in the middle of nowhere. He was majorly unhappy in the city/corporate world so he left it all behind for a slice of heaven in the form of a resort. A resort dedicated to escaping the modern world and reconnecting with your family or whatever it may be. The last thing on his mind when his only guest for the winter, Cami, checks in is a relationship. Why? Because he knows it will never work. Or will it?
Jennifer Van Wyk has a knack for writing fabulous wordy creations! Staying For You is filled with just the right amount of feels. One minute she has you sighing with happiness then the next wanting to throttle someone. Not to mention her knack for writing hard-headed characters. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to slap Cami or Owen upside the head.
I can continue to go on and eventually give away the entire book OR I could just tell you to one click this gem. In fact, one click this entire series! You will not regret it. I really really hope there is more to come in this series or with any of the couples.
This book made me want to escape to a secluded lakeside campground. Jennifer painted the perfect setting with her words and it immediately transported you to Owen’s tranquil Escape. Owen is the fun loving uncle, best friend, brother, caretaker of his family and owner of a secluded retreat. Cami comes in search of herself and to mend her broken spirit. I enjoyed the easy chemistry and banter between the two of them. Their journey to mending broken hearts and finding love was sweet and sexy.
I love all the books that Jennifer has written this one included. I love Cami and Owen’s story. I would love to stay at a place like the Escape. Jennifer’s characters are so realistic and sweet with a bit hot sizzle. I love how Jennifer always adds a unexpected twist. This is a definite must read. I love all the book in this series and look forward to the next book.
Oh my LANTA, this book is AMAZING! I recently binge read the previous two books in this series so I could fully immerse myself into this world, and I can say without a doubt that Cami and Owen are my favorite couple in this series!
Cami is a little broken, thanks to an emotionally abusive and cheating ex husband, and thanks to the advice of her best friend, she decides to spend some time away from her home and fall back in love with writing, and fall back in love with herself too.
When Cami and Owen first meet, he instantly recognizes the sadness that clings to Cami, and makes it his mission to make her as happy as possible throughout her stay at his resort.
Although the attraction is instant, they both have their reasons for not acting on it. However, the more time they spend together, and the more they get to know each other, the more attracted to each other they become. They strike up a friends with benefits situation for the remainder of Cami’s stay, and since neither of them want a relationship they’re not worried about developing any lasting feelings. (But we all know how these situations turn out.)
I won’t spoil any other details, but trust me when I say there are twist and turns you didn’t see coming, and the love that Owen and Cami share.. that is pretty spectacular to witness!
*Side note: I love how strong Cami became towards the end of the book. Of course she always had her inner strength, but she finally believed in herself to know what she should and shouldn’t deal with, and that she would no longer sacrifice her own happiness for anyone else. I love me some strong females! 🙂
I absolutely floved this book by this author Jennifer Van Wyk. I have read each and every book she has ever written. I think this was my favorite. 1 because it was a great romance book with a HEA. 2. It has alittle bit of a suspense added into it making it a real joy to read. I loved the storyline so much and the dynamics of the characters you couldn’t help but fall in love with them. Plus with the main male character Owen you couldn’t stop your ovaries from exploding when you picture this machismo lumberjack man have his baby niece inside a baby carrier strapped to his chest in a baby carrier. I would highly recommend reading this book and every other book she has ever written. The one thing I love about this authors books is that they are completely standalone each book is about a different main set of characters but several of the other characters may make a special appearance in the other books in the series because they typically are someone related either by being a family member or a close friend. I can guarantee I will continue following this author in the future because each book gets better and better. I would recommend the reader to read each and every one of her books you will never be disappointed in any of them.
Oh my heart! I can’t even express how much I loved this story. There is just something about Owen that melts my heart. I loved how vulnerable Owen and Cami were and how they both had insecurities to work through. It was relatable, sincere and the romance was sweet and held me captivated from start to finish. If you are a fan of friends to lovers romances and slow burn romances than this book is definitely for you!
I was intrigued by Owen from all the other books and omg I wasn’t disappointed. Cami was a guest at his resort overcoming a loveless marriage and trying to find inspiration for her next book. When they met they clearly fell into an easy friendship that with time developed into more. But they were very careful because it was temporary. But then real feelings got involved and these two were amazing. Her ex was a completely different story and will make you want to throat punch him and Cami has a heart of gold. The secondary characters were fun to get caught up with and these two got their well deserved HEA.
THIS!!! This is why I read romance books! I loved this entire series and am sad to see it come to an end. Owen and Cami have captured my heart. I laughed, I cried, my heart was broken and put back together again. These two are everything! Cami is broken when she shows up at The Escape and Owen, swoonworthy Owen, notices that she’s a little guarded and is so good at helping her find herself again and raise her self confidence back up. Jennifer is one of those authors that I will read without knowing anything about the book. She has a way of bringing the characters to life and making us feel like we’re right there with them the whole way through. Absolutely loved this book!!
I do love Jennifer’s words. Cami is romance writer came to Owen’s resort to get away from the word.
She is coming off a horrible marriage and divorce. Cami is a woman whose heart is in helping others. Owen thinks Cami is adorable and sweet. Owen is keeping a distance because he feels this is only temporary. Cami bonds with his family. Owen is wonderful friend, brother and uncle. Cami thinks she is ready for love. With Owen she feels confident he has given her the inspiration to write again. Owen starts to totally take care Cami. She finally has someone taking care of her. Owen is attentive and focused on what she likes. Every time he touches her he makes her ache for more. This is wonderful addition to this series.
Jennifer Van Wyk is my go to for a reason. Her books slay me, they are light and airy, a breathe of fresh air if I am honest. Staying For You is the book that is relatable on so many levels. The emotions and characters were authentic and real, it was great world building on this authors part. The story line flowed nicely, the plot was not over done and the chemistry was palpable. Overall, this was a wonderful read.
Cami is a writer that is experiencing major writers block. She needs inspiration since her life is anything but inspirational. She is sort of OCD and likes things her way. She is kind and caring and always offers a helping hand.
Owen is The Escape. He loves the beauty of nature and loves helping people unplug from the world. He is an amazing uncle with a love for classic rock. He humble and empathetic, not your average playboy.
Cami and Owen have a lot going against them, including distance. Is what they have worth fighting for?
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.
Staying For You is the latest standalone in the All For You series, and another hit from Jennifer Van Wyk.
Cami is fresh from a divorce that won’t stop haunting her, and suffering from a major downfall in her writing career. When her best friend convinces her she needs an escape she takes her literally – ending up at The Escape, a remote resort in Northern Michigan. She’s hoping to relax, leave her troublesome ex behind, and hopefully find some writing inspiration. But what she finds is so much more than she ever imagined.
Owen’s whole life is The Escape, the resort he owns and operates. Besides the guests that come in, and infrequent visits with family, he’s alone and likes it that way. Nature is the only company he wants or needs until a guest comes in and shakes up his whole perspective.
These two were such fun characters, with amazing chemistry & playful banter. They brought out the best in each other and were such a great couple to read. I loved how Cami opened up and gained the inspiration and confidence to start believing in herself. While Owen’s perspective and priorities definitely evolved throughout I do wish we had gotten a little bit more out of him and his secrets.
As usual Jennifer Van Wyk has delivered an incredible romance, filled with sweet & sexy moments, and addicting words. I highly recommend this one!
I LOVED Owen and Cami’s book!! Watching Cami finally take a stand for herself, try to get her life back on track, and to take a chance on a new guy was awesome! A swoony “lumberjack” hero…seeing our friends from past books, and of course drama!! I loved this book so much!
I absolutely adored this story. It is a great reminder that just because bad things happened in the past relationships, doesn’t mean that is how all future relationships will be. You have to trust yourself enough to let go of the past.
The relationship between Cami and Owen is sweet and sexy and quite realistic. Their love story was relatively easy, which is what I think we all hope for love to be.
Great finally to the trilogy!
Absolutely loved Owen’s book! Ive been waiting for his since Ethan and Liv’s book, Gone for you. I was so happy he found his happy ever after Camiiii goodness that woman has been thru some stuff but she managed to come out strong and on top with the help of a great best friend and the powerof what a good man can make you feel. I cannot wait to have this on my shelf! Love these books can’t wait to see whats next!
I really loved Owen and Cami together, they had great chemistry and helped each other through some things. Cami starts off in a bad place with a horrible ex husband and her writing mojo tanking so she goes on a vacation for herself. Owen owns The Lodge and he also has had his heart broken. They are both jaded when it comes to relationships and have a hard time dealing but together they help each other find themselves. I really enjoyed this story and loved Owen so so much. I hated Cami’s ex and was glad to see it end the way it did.
Love Jennifer Van Wyk’s books! I love small town romance!! Owen and Cami’s story does not disappoint. It is real people connecting. Cami is dealing with her past. Owen is the amazing uncle and friend.
This book gives all the feels! I devoured their story! I love all the characters throughout the book and from her other books. I love how the story follows and gives you all the feels. Read this book, read all of Jennifer Can Wyk’s books- they come from the heart and make you want more!!
Jennifer Van Wyk has quickly become a 1-click author for me. Her stories are captivating and emotional and I truly enjoy reading them. In the next installment of her All For You series, she brings us Staying For You. This is Owen’s story, the brother of the heroine in the first book and though this can be read as a standalone, I have loved the entire series and highly recommend them.
Though I loved Owen and yes, he made some big mistakes, he was a good guy with a huge heart. He was caring and protective. But Cami really stole the show. She was in such a horrible place when the story started. She was lost and broken and trying to find herself again. So, she decides to get away. Owen and Cami connect from the start and have amazing chemistry, but there is no denying Cami’s sadness. When they find something unexpected together, can it become more?
I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed reading Staying For you by Jennifer Van Wyk. It was an emotional charged story with two amazing characters and a captivating journey.
4.5-stars. Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading.
This is a slow burn (but not too slow), friends to lovers, perfect in every way romance!
Cami is a romance writer who has lost her mojo…a cheating husband will do that to you. Needing an escape from her now ex, she does just that and finds way more than she bargained for. Owen owns and runs “The Escape” where Cami has rented a cabin. She hopes to be inspired and rediscover her love for writing, and inspiration she definitely finds.
There’s a pull between these two that can’t be denied, but what do you do with that kind of chemistry when you can’t see a future? When you know it’s only temporary? You decide on a relationship of convenience, friends with benefits, that’s what you do. Owen and Cami are ridiculously cute, adorable and sweet together. The benefits side of their relationship is crazy steamy…I think Jennifer Van Wyk has totally turned up the heat factor in this book. Pass the fan and a glass of ice water!
When the storyline takes a turn I definitely wasn’t expecting, it had me flipping pages even faster! Jennifer Van Wyk writes the most swoon worthy men, and Owen is no exception…I want to live in her books.
OK. Let me just preface this review with the confession that I kind of adore this author’s small-town romance books. I can’t say all of them have been 5-star reads for me, but never have I felt like they were a waste of my time or my money. And this author certainly didn’t disappoint with Staying for You!
Let’s talk characters. Grab a cup of hot chocolate first (since it’s winter in this story and hot chocolate is like the ultimate winter comfort drink). You may add any libation you see fit as we take a seat in front of a roaring fire and discuss! Now that the scene is set…let’s chat!
It’s really hard for me to like a book if I feel like I can’t connect with the main characters on some level. And I can tell you that I loved both Owen and Cami’s characters. They just seemed to be down to earth, relatable, and real. I absolutely could sympathize with Cami’s situation because I’ve been in an emotionally abusive relationship a long time ago. It takes a while to heal from all of that and learn to trust again. And I understand Owen’s desire to stay where he is and run the resort that is truly his passion. In fact, I kinda wish this place wasn’t fictional because I’d so be booking a family vacation there in a heartbeat! I think there’s a part of all of us that would love to unplug for a while and get back to just enjoying life and family. Owen’s definitely on to something here!
NICUnurse’s Rating: It’s really hard to pin down what I loved most about this book because I liked all the aspects of it. I liked the setting. I fell in love with the main characters and how compassionate they all are (but really, really disliked the ex!). I liked the little bit of mystery. And as we all love in romance, I loved the Happily Ever After. I also love that she has me excited for winter to come back around. I’m not a lover of the heat and humidity here in the South! I give Staying for You by Jennifer Van Wyk 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Staying For You Jennifer Van Wyk
Book 3 All For You
Fabulous! Absolutely love the characters! Characters are funny, sweet, and really nuts for one another. Really beautiful story! Very well written! I didn’t want the story to end! Loved it!
“And I’m so happy, sometimes I feel like I could burst.”
Very highly recommend!
