Stay with me.Three simple words. One impossible request.I’ve loved Allie McCallister for as long as I can remember. Her happiness and well-being mean more to me than anything else, which is why when the opportunity of a lifetime presented itself, I had to take it. Three months was such a short amount of time to be apart to provide the financial stability we needed to start our lives. It wasn’t … financial stability we needed to start our lives.
It wasn’t supposed to catapult my band to stardom, and it sure as hell wasn’t supposed to set off the chain of events that pushed my relationship with Allie to the brink. Our hearts were shattered, our love tested, and when everything fell apart she begged me to leave.
Eight years ago, tragedy broke us. Now we’re back in the same little town where we once dreamed of building our future.
She’s a divorced, single mom.
I’m a damaged country music star.
There are a hundred reasons for us to stay apart.
But all it takes is one look, one touch, one kiss to know our story isn’t over. Now I have to convince her to let me stay.

Such a beautiful story. Allie and Jackson have history together. Will time heal their past decisions? I seriously had all the feels while reading this. The dialogue was genius and the descriptive words had me glued to the screen.
A must read standalone with a fantastic epilogue!
I adore KL Graysons words…every time I read one of her love stories, and that’s exactly what they are, I’m left so emotionally full!
I love second chance romance so much, it might be my favorite genre. Jackson and Allie, their story was so full of feels!!!
I adored Jackson’s character so much! He’s just such a good man, the total package! And what a package it is!!!
Allie has been through so much, and it’s not just her…will Jackson help her heart heal? Sometimes a second chance is just what you need.
I highly recommend this author & book…
This is a sweet second chance romance between a country star and a single mom whose chemistry never fizzled out. Fans of the second chance trope (and/or those whose ovaries explode when a guy acts paternal) will enjoy the book. The plot felt formulaic and predictable, but the quality of the writing allowed the read to remain easy.
From that first page in the prologue I was invested in these characters. This was an incredible second chance romance with lots of emotion, tenderness and epic off the charts chemistry. KL writes amazing stories that suck you in from beginning to end.
Allie and Jackson were young lovers who needed the time to grow and mature to make their way back to each other. It was evident that they were meant to be together. It wasn’t just the chemistry it was a forever bond that no one could ever replace.
It’s a second chance romance with all the feels.
4.5 huge stars for this book!
I’ve long been a fan of this author.
Stay With Me just shows me again what a great writer KL Grayson is. This author writes with her heart and soul and it shows on every page, in every word.
This book has it all. The feels will reach into your chest and twist your heart. The humor will make you laugh out loud, (the describing of Mason’s screams had me laughing so hard I cried.). And the interactions between Jackson and Allie will make you sigh.
From beginning to end there is always something to keep you flipping the pages of this amazing book.
I love that this is a story about unending love. Something not everyone gets to experience.
Stay With Me will hold you captive until the very last word.
Stay with Me by K.L. Grayson
“Second chances, 5 stars”
Jackson and Allie wrapped me around their fingers hook, line, and sinker. I was sucked in from the get go. My heart broke for these two but they managed to mend it back together. Much like they did with each other. Grayson knocked it out of the part with Stay with Me. You won’t regret one-clicking it but I will warn you to be prepared for your heart strings to be pulled.
Allie and Jackson had the big forever kind of love long before they should have. They were the love story the towns people whispered about. But heartache took them apart from one another. And now they are both home, they both have baggage but that chemistry, that love? It never went away. There is only one thing to do, accept forever.

“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over.”
Allie and Jackson were in love since they were kids. As they were getting ready to go to college, Allie is pregnant. At the same time, Jackson is getting an offer to go on a 3 month tour with his band, a deal that could give them enough money to get a good start in life. Everything is going well, until tragedy strikes and they fall apart. Eight years later they are both back in their Idaho hometown, Allie a divorced mom of 5 year old Mason and Jackson a famous country music star who walked away from everything after the death of his best friend and band mate. How can Allie and Jackson move past the tragic event that tore them apart?
This was a really good book. Allie has a five year old son who is her world, but who is constantly let down by his workaholic father. Mason takes a liking to Jackson and the three spend a lot of time together. Allie and Jackson both have to deal with the emotions that drove them apart eight years ago before they can truly recover. On top of the emotional healing they both must do, Mason’s father reenters the picture. I really liked how Jackson and Allie talk things out now and turn to each other. The years apart were what they both needed to grow up and mature. They are also the sweetest couple. The song Jackson wrote for Allie was amazing. And Mason is a total scene stealer! He is an adorable, precocious five year old.
4 1/2 out of 5 stars
Jackson and Allie’s story isn’t easy. There were tears, but there were also laughs. I loved them both so completely (and let’s not forget little Mason because he really captured my heart as well). Usually either the Hero or Heroine in a book will drive me crazy with too much alpha or too much fragility, but these two were almost perfect.
Jackson left Allie eight years ago after a huge trauma that affected both of them. He went out and did his thing in the world and then suffered another huge trauma that brought him back to his hometown and back to Allie. Allie has had her own stuff to deal with including a 5 year old son and a divorce. She’s back working at the bed and breakfast and just trying to make it through life.
I loved how they came back together so effortlessly (almost) and how their love was so strong that it was almost as if they were never apart. Second chance love stories have to be written just so to make them believable and enjoyable – Ms Grayson did just that with this story! I could feel the love pouring off my Kindle as I read. I found myself holding my hand over my heart many times with both joy and sorrow for Allie & Jackson. This story was so great I wish I could already go back and re-read it for the first time.
*** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***
I love a second chance romance and this book did not disappoint. It was emotional and really got under my skin a time or two but that said, it was wonderfully romantic and utterly swoon worthy at times. This is the type of book that you can just get caught up in and be so behind the lead characters that you’re just holding your breath for their HEA. Stay with me delivered wonderfully rounded characters and story line that will hook you and keep you hooked until the end. I really enjoyed it and would be happy to recommend this S/A read.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
4 second-chance stars!
I am a sucker for second-chance romances and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Stay with Me. The blurb caught my eye but it was the prologue that completely drew me in. Reading about Allie and Jackson’s past left my heart pounding because I had so many theories about the way this story would go, most of them painting one of the characters in a not so favorable light. I thought that the initial breakup would be over something else entirely and I am really glad I was so wrong.
After devouring the beginning of the book and feeling the loss that these characters suffered, I knew I was in for an emotional reunion. Allie and Jackson were childhood sweethearts when tragedy and circumstance pulled them apart, leaving both brokenhearted.
Eight years later, Jackson comes back to Bear Creek very much a different man than when he left. Guilt, regret, and pain consume him but he is working on taking control of his life. Allie may have imagined her life would end up differently but she doesn’t regret the way things happened because of her son. She is a single mom who works hard to give him the best life she can and isn’t looking for love.
When Jackson returns, the spark that began when they were children flares back to life. Just as their broken hearts begin to heal they must face challenges again, fighting for the love they once lost but have found again.
“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a chance to do right the second time what we got wrong the first.”
Stay with Me is a sweet, heartwarming story about first loves, first heartbreaks, and second chances at a love that was always meant to be. Jackson and Allie shows us a forever love that never faded no matter the tragedy they endured or the time that separated them, and I loved it!
Allie and Jackson are well developed, likeable characters. They are genuine and real, and I did not fault them for the decisions they made when their hearts broke. I felt their love, I felt their pain, and I felt their loss. Emotion poured from the pages and it was utterly heartbreaking especially because I knew these two were meant to be.
Taking a chance on love again is never easy when heartache is tied so closely to it. The past is hard to overcome and the future is scary when you open your heart again.
“We ruined each other last time we were together. I still feel the pain of his love—a deep cut at the base of my heart that aches every time I take a breath.”
However, Allie and Jackson are perfect together and I knew they would fight for their happily ever after. Love doesn’t always run smoothly and sometimes it happens at the wrong time. You have to grow and learn and live before the timing is right.
“I think we had to fall apart before we could come back together, and we’re going to be stronger because of it.”
This love story is beautifully written. It’s sweet, steamy, and romantic, and Jackson couldn’t have been more swoony. It is well-paced and entertaining, and I couldn’t have turned the pages faster. I needed to know what happened. The flashbacks gave me the much needed pieces of the puzzle while the present showed me that true love never dies. The drama wasn’t over the top and Allie and Jackson were mature and functional. I loved the way everything unfolded even when it was painful because I knew it was worth it.
Overall, Stay with Me is an emotional, second-chance romance that is sure to put a smile on your face. If you are a fan of second-chances, you don’t want to miss this heartfelt read!
***I received an ebook copy from the author at no cost***
K.L. Grayson writes the most beautiful words. I’ve loved every story of hers that I’ve picked up, and it’s no different when it comes to Stay With Me.
Allie and Jackson are high school sweethearts who fall victim to a tragic event that completely alters their relationship. Years later, their paths cross again, and it’s clear that whatever was there between them at the start never really faded away to begin with.
First of all, this book has two things I absolutely love: angst and a second-chance romance. Both Allie and Jackson endure tragedies that shatter their worlds and rip their hearts out. The first tragedy is what tears them apart and the second tragedy is, in essence, one of the driving factors in their being reunited. Grayson handled this beautifully and the angst was realistic and something that gripped me as a reader.
When Allie and Jackson are reunited, the spark is still there and on the verge of bursting into all out flames. There’s a slow burn between them, even though they probably could have just jumped head first back into what they had as teens. I like how Grayson took her time with these two, and offered them a chance to learn who the other one is before things could go any further.
The character development in this story is great. Both Allie and Jackson are damaged, and they know this and admit it. They own what happened to them in the past, taken responsibility for mistakes they’ve made, and they learn from the negative experiences. Each of these characters grows so much from their teenage years until present day. The growth continues where the story picks up at, and eventually these characters grow together.
I love the relationship between Jackson and Mason. Jackson is amazing with him and treats him like he’s his own son. He goes out of his way to make sure that Mason is happy and knows that he’s loved, which is precisely what a child needs in a father figure. I also love how caring Jackson is of Allie. Even though they haven’t been together for a while, it was easy to tell he cared about her and would do anything for her. Jackson has earned a spot on my Top Book Boyfriends of 2019 list, because of how dedicated, loyal, loving, and charming he is.
I loved the direction this story took and the elements that Grayson included. It has romance, humor, angst, and lots of fluff in it. The characters, secondary included, are amazing, and Grayson did an excellent job of building a world that was fun, cozy, and real.
This is a great book to pick up for that spring trip or to kick off your summer with.
Five stars to this novel!
True love. The one that got away. The one you never got over. Second chances. Stay With Me by Author KL Grayson has all of that and more. I always say that this author knows how to expertly rip your heart apart and put it back together better than it was before, with surgical precision.
Life got in the way of Jackson and Allie’s love. Circumstances kept them apart and destiny brought them back together. Will they be able to make their second chance work?
This is an amazing journey of heartbreak, healing and love. It also demonstrates how a good man treats the child of a woman he loves.
Stay With Me is one of the best romance novels I’ve read in awhile! I positive that is because I LOVE KL Grayson’s writing style, her knack for portraying her characters in a mature, strong fashion, weaving an amazing love story full of emotion and feels. I can always count on this author when I need a story that will pull me away from reality for awhile! Both of these characters are incredible, they have an open line of communication that would probably beat most of us in reality and the maturity that everything is handled with just really rounds this out into a new favorite for my bookshelf!
Swoonworthy. Magical. Romantic.
This book is EVERYTHING I want to read when reading a second chance romance. EVERYTHING!! The amount of backstory between the 2 main characters was perfect. Just enough to get you sucked into their lives and love. Then, the broken feelings and loss that are pulled into the story – gah! My heart broke. BUT, was then put back together piece by piece in the most glorious way. I can’t ever say enough about this. I LOVED every word of every chapter. I did not want it to end. Perfection.
Side note: Nicknames get me everytime. I love a good nickname. And even more, I love a good nickname “duet.” JAM. I mean, COME ON!!! It’s perfect. And then P.Butter. YES!!! KL, you struck diamonds with that one.
A great second chance romance with mild angst. Allie and Jackson finds out that true love never dies and their connection is alive and strong even after years apart. An enjoyable and easy read I devoured in a day.
Stay with Me….3 simple words that have the power to make or break you. One moment. One outcome that has the power to turn your life upside down. But, sometimes, if you’re lucky fate will intervene and offer up a second chance. If that should happen, if fate should offer you that second chance, one would be stupid to not go after it with everything they’ve got……
Allie and Jackson fell hard and fast for one another. But life took them both on unexpected roads. Eight years would pass before before these two would cross paths again. Jackson’s had a lot of time to reflect on his past and now that his path has once again crossed with Allie, he will do anything to keep her.
The road to happily ever after for Jackson and Allie won’t be an easy one. They both have pain and heartache to work past. But, if there is one thing that I’ve learned while immersing myself in Jackson and Allie’s story is that these two have an unforgettable and powerful love. What they once shared is real, and worth fighting for. Sure, they’re both different people than they once were. But, a love like they have is a love that can withstand anything…..
Stay with Me is a heartbreaking and beautiful second chance romance. This story pulled me in from the first page and had me holding my breath until the very last page. From pain and love to heartbreak and second chances. This story was beautifully written and was everything that I could ever want or need in a book by K.L. Grayson.
Such a beautifully written and heartbreaking story. I love second chance genres and this book sucked me in immediately and left me loving and hating the characters at the same time. You want to reach in and shake them, but then you realized the book was written this way to make you feel every emotion imaginable. This plot was planned out perfectly and I adore the writing. The only issue I had is I wasn’t ready for it to end. I loved it from start to finish and look forward to reading more from KL.
Jackson and Allie get a second chance at love. KL Grayson has quickly become one of my favorite authors. She writes such a beautiful story with so much emotion and such great characters. I thought I knew where she was going with Jackson and Allie’s story, but I was wrong and I loved it. Jackson proved to me through the whole story that he is the perfect book boyfriend. I love this man!
Jackson and Allie have suffered heartbreak and loss. When Jackson comes back to town, Allie is divorced with a child. Jackson never hesitates at treating that child as his own just like he wants Allie to be his own again. These two have never gotten over each other, but sometimes you have to separate to find your way back together.
This story was full of pain and tears and yet such a sweet love story of these two making their way back to each other as it should have always been. Great read!
Allie and Jackson were each other’s first love. Although a tragedy ended up separating them. Years later they both end up home again and in each other’s lives, finding out that sometimes your first love is in fact your forever love you just have to wait for the right time.
This was a beautiful, heartbreaking, heart melting second chance love story. There was a lot of raw emotions and It had me laughing, tearing up and nervously biting my lip from anticipation. I could not put it down, it had me staying up late to finish it. There we so many tender and sweet moments it just had my heart full of emotion the whole way throughout. Jackson and Allie were definitely characters I felt connected to and will miss. This book left me with a book hangover I will definitely be reading it again!
