A sexy, heartwarming, friends-to-lovers romance!
Absolutely loved! Can’t go wrong with Kristen Proby!
When Kristen Proby announced and wrapped up this series in 2014, I was sad to see one of my favorite series go. But as a fan/reader you understand that all good things do need to come to an end. Still, I just wasn’t entirely ready to let go.
So this comeback… oh boy… this comeback was PERFECT! Meeting new characters, catching up with all time favorite ones, Going back to Seattle is just what my heart needed. Stay With Me made me feel like I literally left Seattle and came back home. The time has passed, and everyone, including the new characters have grown. The banter, the Montgomery’s…guys.. the girls night out that I want to be part of not caring these are fictional characters.. I missed all this and love that it’s back.
OK, let’s put the fangirling moment on hold… for now.
Amelia and Wyatt are off the chart sexy. Ohh.. should I mention that both Amelia and Wyatt have siblings, that clearly need their own books. (Kristen, I so hope you are reading this, because I need more!) I seriously can’t stop fangirling over this book if I wanted to.
Stay With Me was just that.. coming home and being welcomed with open arms. It’s funny as it is sexy and let’s not forget the swoon factor that only Kristen Proby can deliver. From start to finish I was invested. Be ready to fall in love again…
So Ms. Proby, can I have some more?? Please.
I love this series and so glad that Kristen decided to continue it on with Wyatt and Lia. With simpler past and a romance that was bond to take place once let her guard down some. With feisty women in the Montgomery and alpha men that protects their family is amazing. Even if you haven’t read the other books in the series Kristen makes you feel like you have with explaining each family member and their love interest.
I cant be the only one who’s been waiting for more from this world. Eeeeep!
Holy Cow!!
Words cannot express how excited I am to be back in Seattle!! Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle series is my all-time favorite series and family. I can never get enough of this crazy, loud, boisterous crew! Knowing that there is an extended family allowing us to catch up with the gang is something that I absolutely love!
Amelia Montgomery is coming home. After a long and arduous divorce (well, kind of), she needs to get away. Seattle is the perfect place for her. She meets her new neighbor, Wyatt Crawford, while moving in to her new place (it’s really Nat’s and Jules’ old home). Wyatt is also divorced, just trying to adjust to his new life. Sparks fly, sass is tossed all around, and sexiness erupts! But they both have baggage that is difficult to move past, which causes all sorts of trouble for them. Fortunately, they both have family that helps keep them grounded and brings them back to reality.
Stay With Me was like coming home and visiting family while making new friends! I loved catching up with the Montgomerys, McKennas, Williams’, and Nashes! And now we have the Montgomery cousins and the Crawfords, as well!
Stay With Me has Kristen Proby’s typical romantic feel to it, showcasing strong women and sexy men who support their women. Her characters always feel like friends, and definitely people I want to hang out with.
Welcome back to Seattle!

“I’d like to deck the bastard that ever dared to make her feel less than amazing. But, she’s mine now. And I intend to make her feel safe every damn day.”
Let’s talk about “Stay With Me by Kristen Proby”, this is the first book in the “With Me in Seattle – The Crawford” series.
With this book I popped two cherries at a time. This is my first audiobook of the year and also my first Kristen story, like ever!! Say whaat?? Yeah, it was a very good choice I did, I really wish I could pat my back in congratulations! It had everything I wanted in a romance story, love, amazing friendships, family support, some good angst and oh dear lord the steamy scenes… they didn’t even took long time to happened! Just my type of book.
Amelia Montgomery is a top beauty influencer based in LA, but since her abusive ex-husband decided to make a mess of their divorce, her lawyer advised her to spend some time away so she could try to fix everything. That’s when Amelia moves to Seattle, to stay close to her very much ultra famous family and friends. Her new neighbor is Wyatt Crawford, the very sexy and handsome architect, , who has his own share of ex issues, since he was cheated on by her in a very horrible way, he is very focused on his work and his family.
Their first time together was so freakin’ hot, bring me some ice, baby! But mostly important they formed a bond that was so undeniable and strong. I loved how supportive of each other careers they were and how they tried to lift one another in an emotional way. It was also so good to read the interactions they had with his brothers and her family. They all definitely increased my love for this story. But at some point, it was obviously that their trust issues and their past relations baggage’s would interfere in their relationship. With the good amount of drama, their end was perfect and so swoony!
In the audio related news, it added the perfect spice to my reading. Their voices complemented the characters and the scenes. I always laugh a little when they needed to express some exciting emotions, it wasn’t what I was expecting at times. But it didn’t low my love for everything in here. I can’t wait to read and listen to more Kristen’s stories!
I really enjoyed how this author brought real life issues that people and couples struggle with. A female lead that didn’t hold back how she felt, was brutally honest, and stood her ground. And a male lead that struggled with his emotions, wearing his heart on his sleeve, and wasn’t closed off about it. All coming together to make my heart ache for these characters and wish for a happily ever after.
Wyatt and Amelia have amazing sexual chemistry, leading to some very steamy, scorching hot moments together. They both have baggage that makes its way into their relationship and leads to misunderstandings. I enjoyed their growth as individuals and a couple.
The narrators did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. You could feel the emotion in their performance and it was just spot on all the way through. My first by this author and I am not disappointed. Overall, I enjoyed this story and I completely recommend it.
Stay With Me is a stand-alone in the With Me in Seattle series from Kristen Proby. Each book is a standalone of inter-connected characters, so you can listen to them in any order. Amelia is rebuilding her life and career after her divorce, only to find out that she’s not ACTUALLY divorced. She retreats to spend with her family in Seattle, where she meets Wyatt. They have an instant connection, but it’s not an instant like or even a willingness to explore a relationship. Amelia and Wyatt both have a lot of emotional baggage from prior relationships, and it definitely gets in the way and keeps them on the defensive. This was an enjoyable listen. Kitty Bang and Lee Samuels both did a good job bringing stress and emotion to the characters.
Stay with Me isn’t my first experience with Kristen Proby, but my feelings about this one aren’t quite in line with what I expected based on what I have read or listened to. That’s not to say it isn’t good, but there were things that just didn’t work for me. I liked the premise, and I liked the characters, including the secondary characters who were new to me since this is the first book I’ve read in the With Me in Seattle series. I’ll add here that I didn’t have any problem following the story. There were a lot of secondary characters, but Proby does give enough information so I was able to keep everyone straight as they came and went.
As I mentioned, I liked Amelia and Wyatt. The problem is there were times when I liked them better separately than together. I think a lot of that has to do with Wyatt’s jealousy. The way he acted felt a little over the top for this guy who was otherwise so well rounded, especially the way he acted in the latter part of the story when the couple has the big angsty problem to overcome.
I realize I sound like I didn’t like this story at all, but that’s really not the case. There were some truly great lines in this one, which is exactly what I expect from this author, and Wyatt seemed to understand exactly what Amelia needed to hear and what would make her feel cherished and safe. I guess that’s why I had such a hard time wrapping my head around this one. This couple went from one extreme to the other, and honestly, I couldn’t decide if I wanted them together or not. I don’t know, maybe that was the intention behind it all. If so, it definitely worked.
Whatever the reason, this couple was an exercise in frustration. Ah, but here’s the rub – as much as they frustrated me, as much as I’d have liked to reach into the pages of the book and shake the daylights out of both of them, I wanted to keep listening. I wanted to see how things would play out. So, Kristen Proby did her job quite well as far as keeping me engaged and listening to this story.
The narrators did a great job with these characters in my opinion. I was already familiar with Lee Samuels and his sexy voice, but Kitty Bang was new to me. She has just the tiniest bit or rasp in her voice that worked well with the steamy scenes as well as when she needed a bit of fire in her voice.
So, what it all comes down to is this couple may have driven me a little crazy, they may have jumped into things a little quickly, and they may have needed a little shake every now and then – but, the writing along with the narration kept me listening to the end, and that ending was kind of perfect for Amelia and Wyatt.
Audio/Ebook Review: Stay With Me (With Me in Seattle #9) by Kristen Proby, Narrated by Kitty Bang and Lee Samuels
Proby draws you in by the heart and leaves her mark on the senses. Stay With Me is simply perfect. Wyatt and Amelia set the canvas aflame with an attraction that refuses to be denied. From past heartache to present denial, Proby says more with emotion than any author should be able to do.
