From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes the final poignant standalone love story in the Arrowood Brothers Series. Hollywood taught me everything I know about relationships—except how to be in one. As an actor, I became an expert at faking it. Faking that I wasn’t affected by my childhood. Faking that I was okay. Faking that I knew how to save the day, the girl, the whole … the whole damn world.
But I’ve always known the truth—I’m no one’s hero.
Until I’m forced to move back to Sugarloaf for six months, and Brenna Allen offers me a chance to prove otherwise. She’s everything I never knew I wanted, but can’t have. Her broken heart, perfect face, and adorable children turn my world upside down. Instead of preparing for my next leading role, I’m directing a middle school play for this small-town single mother.
All to make her smile.
The more time I spend here, the more I want to stay. Build a life in this town that I swore I’d leave—for her.
But when the world comes crashing down around us, I’m forced to decide if staying for her is the right choice or if leaving is better for the woman I love.

The Arrowood brothers have been slowly stealing my heart the past few months, and Jacob has now found a piece of his own.
I’m not really sure how she did it, but Corinne Michaels has successfully delivered an incredible series that even after 4 books are still amazing. As I read each book and loved them more and more I had my doubts that this final book could be just as incredible, and she definitely proved me wrong.
“Heroes don’t get to define their moments, the people they save do.”
I absolutely loved Jacob & Brenna, their story was so heartwarming and I loved how it wasn’t rushed or unrealistic. The realities of their situation and how their choices affect others were always at the forefront, and their relationship was explored perfectly. Sebastian & Melanie are the perfect additions, and I loved how the relationship between each of them and Jacob evolved and was never pushed to the side.
And of course, the rest of the Arrowood’s are present, and it was such a treat finally having them all together. Family has been a huge theme throughout this series, and it’s definitely at the forefront of this book. The dynamics between the brothers, their spouses, and Brenna & her children are all well written, and I loved how seamlessly they all fit together by the end. I’m sad to see this family go, but it was wrapped up beautifully and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
I hadn’t even finished the first chapter before the emotions hit. I could tell from less than a chapter that I was going to be an emotional wreck reading this book. It’s a bad idea to read Corinne Michaels book while on your period.
This book gutted me from start to finish. It was the perfect ending to the Arrowood series. Watching Brenna and Jacob fall for each other was beautiful. They didn’t fight their attraction to each other. What started off as a short term fling blossomed into the love story of the year. I think it was the best story out of the 4 brothers.
Jacob was not at all what I was expecting. He was so much more and is my favourite Arrowood. This book was a 5 star read and is a must read!
“We’re all flawed, Jacob. It’s finding someone who sees the beauty in the cracks that makes them perfect for you. You may have tiny imperfections, but that’s what makes you who you are.”
Jacob has won my heart and cemented himself as my favorite of the series. These Arrowood brothers may have been reluctant to fall in love, but when they fall, boy do they fall hard! This small town romance series has that tight knit family feel and had me wishing I was part of their inner circle. Through the laughter, the tears and the love, these brothers and this series made me feel like no matter what, happiness and true love was possible. Brenna and Jacob’s story was the perfect conclusion to the series, from tragedy a love was born that brought the light back into both their lives. While Jacob may have been a Hollywood movie action star, he was no match for Brenna and her irresistible heart.
“Heroes don’t wear capes or save the world, they do the right thing. Heroes don’t get to define their moments, the people they save do.”
Jacob was such a sweetheart, especially with Brenna’s children, he could relate to the loss of a parent and what that meant to their emotional state. Directing the play so Sebastian had a place to fit in at school just showed how much he cared and I fell hard for him, definitely not a egomaniac superstar. And Brenna’s strength after the death of her husband left her raising two children by herself was admirable. I loved the honesty in her relationship with them, she didn’t hide her tears when she was sad, she talked through it with them, showing the emotions they all were feeling and working through. The relationship she developed with Jacob was born of a shared passion for each other and turned into something neither expected to find, a forever love. I appreciated that Jacob laid his heart out there for Brenna and didn’t hide any feelings from her. Their open communication of their feelings to each was so refreshing, they were not afraid to share the hurt of the past and their fears of the future. The passion and chemistry between them is HOT, definitely a beautiful and sexy love story.
And let me tell you, there is a scene in this story that gave me chills and had my eyes welling with tears. Corinne knows how to pull the emotions out of me, making it feel as though I am right there with the characters, feeling their fears and heartache right along with them. A fantastic conclusion to the Arrowood Brothers series!
I did something this week that I’ve NEVER done before…I read a book out of series order!u2063u2063

This was my first Corinne Michaels book. I will definitely be going back to read the first three books in this series!u2063

The series centers around the Arrowood brothers in Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania. Jacob – a famous actor who has come back home to spend time preparing for his next movie and Brenna – a widowed single mom who has moved to town to be closer to her in-laws. u2063
u2063
The attraction between Jacob and Brenna is instant. After dancing around things for a while, they finally decide to spend his remaining time together…no strings attached. This leads to feelings, angst, and some issues they need to work out. I enjoyed their relationship and watching it become more. Jacob’s relationship with Brenna’s children was well done! Nothing awkward or forced.u2063

I loved the twists that were thrown into the story! Once I hit a certain point in the book, I couldn’t put it down! I LOVED the bonus epilogue!! u2063

After finishing Stay for Me, I’m struggling to decide who my favorite Arrowood brother is (Declan has held the top spot!)…..because oh my, wasn’t Jacob absolutely fantastic?!?! His story with Brenna was so incredible. Neither one of them was looking for love in Sugarloaf, but from the moment they saw each other, there was an instant attraction that just couldn’t be ignored. Jacob, the Hollywood star, had never seen true beauty until he locked eyes with Brenna. And Brenna, the widowed mother of two, was surprised at her immediate feelings for Jacob, after only ever being with one man. But when the heart finds what it wants, that pull just can’t be ignored. These two really just had something special, and I loved everything about them together. And even though I’m sad that this was the end for the Arrowood brothers, I can’t think of a better way to have ended the series!
I always true romance books are so much more than romance and Stay For Me is just that! Corinne Michaels gives such an incredible book of love and lose and how people truly heal.
Jacob and Brenna’s story is beautiful. She’s widow with 2 kids. He back in Sugarloaf bc of his family past and their connection is incredible!! I’ve got so many highlights of these amazing characters and families.
I’ve loved the Arrowhead brothers and how their childhood affected them but how they all have grown. I love Brenna’s true experience as a widow and military wife.
I love how Corrine Michaels being in characters from other books. If you haven’t read all her books- go do it! They truly are incredible. This book is one of my top 2020 books!!
Stay for Me is the final book in the Arrowood Brothers series. I am so sad that this series is over. Every book in this series were all wonderful and this was no exception. If you have not read the other books in the series, you definitely should but it still can be read as a standalone. We do get to see our favorite families from the previous books.
This is Jacob’s book. He’s a Hollywood actor who is back home for 6 months. He almost immediately meets widowed mother of two, Brenna. Her pilot husband died almost a year ago, and she has moved to Sugarloaf to be close to family. Brenna’s kids, Sebastian and Melanie, are big fans of Jacob. Jacob becomes a fixture in their lives and he agrees to direct the school play for Sebastian. While all this is going on, he is forming a romantic relationship with Brenna. But, both have some big things to move past.
Stay for Me is very emotional. Brenna was such an amazing character. My heart broke for her and her kids for their loss. Jacob was a great salve to them. The storyline and pace were both good. Stay for Me was an incredible read. I would definitely recommend it and all the books in the series.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the best conclusion to the Arrowood brothers series!!! This book will have your emotions all over the place, but most of all it will make you feel love, hope and the connection of family. That is the brilliance of Corrine’s writing!! Brenna and Jacob both needed a second chance at love. I’m so happy that they found it in each other!!
Emotions a plenty!! For so many reasons!! For Brenna, Melanie & Sebastian, whose world was shattered causing them to start over. For Jacob, and the incredibly swoon worthy heart melting man he is, totally taken with Brenna and her kids. And for the fact that love is never easy, especially when it’s unexpected. I loved Brenna’s strength and heart. I loved Jacob, pretty much just everything about him. Every book in this series I read I say that was my favorite brother. Well, love!!!
And of course, I loved when all the brothers were together. They make you laugh, and again, there’s that love. A running theme. I loved this series!!! I’ve shed tears, had laughs, felt stressed and above all have just been completely immersed in these brothers and their lives. This series will definitely be added to the re-read list, and I’m so sad to see it end. If you haven’t read this series yet, I’m telling you now to jump on in and fall in love
5 Stars
I’ve decided that Corinne Michaels is evil. There. I said it lol. She LIVES for her readers tears and dangit, tears she got! The angst is high in this last installment of the Arrowood Brothers, but so worth the read.
Finally, we get Jacob Arrowood’s story. Hollywood heart throb. Devastatingly handsome. Scarred in so many ways. To say he’s been dreading his sentence in Sugarloaf is the understatement of the century, but his time has finally come and the last thing he ever expected was to fall in love with the gorgeous redhead that’s new to town. I swear Jacob and Brenna’s chemistry just leapt off the pages. These two are perfect together. I loved every single page of this story, but I’m so sad to see the end of this series. These brothers who have been through so much, finally get their happily ever afters and I feel Momma Arrowood would be so proud of them all for finding their “truths”.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Arrowood brothers’ stories. Stay for Me is the fourth and last and I’m sad to see them go but there’s a glimmer of hope. The next set of books will likely bring back some of the old characters here and there, which is always such a treat.
Jacob Arrowood is no stranger to being on the receiving end of attention. After all, he’s a Hollywood star. When it’s his turn to return to the family farm to fulfil the rules of his father’s will, he falls head over heels for the widowed red head, mom of two, Brenna Allen.
While it may be the last of the Arrowood brothers’ tale, it does not disappoint. The love is real, the steam is hot, and the rest of the Arrowood family is enjoying Jacob’s ride.
The Arrowood brothers stole my heart. I loved each and everyone one of the four books. Jacob’s is the final story and I couldn’t get enough of him and Brenna. It’s Jacob’s turn to spend his designated 6 months in Sugarloaf. He is stalwart in his determination that he will be leaving, nothing will stop him – yet he didn’t count on a fiery red-head and her two children. They snuck into his life and his heart. This was a heartfelt, emotional love story that was classic Michaels. Both Jacob and Brenna have pasts that define them, but can they move past their issues and move forward together? I got caught up in their story, felt their love, passion, and struggles in every page. This story is told in dual POV, which I love because it gives me more insight into each character. I think Jacob is my favorite brother (but I think I’ve said that after each book). This was a great finale to the Arrowood brothers series – not only do we get to see Jacob get his HEA, but we get to see the rest of the brothers and their families. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and this series, a must for any TBR. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Stay for Me is the fourth and final book in the Arrowood brothers series. Jacob is back in town to do his six months on his father’s farm pursuant to his father’s Will. Then he will be going back to Hollywood where he’s an A List actor. Sometimes it’s funny how we plan things and fate intervenes.
After suffering a devastating loss, Brenna buys a home and moves her family to Sugarloaf to be near their grandparents. The day she brings a casserole to the wrong house is the day that her life changes for the better.
This story is one of my favorites by Corinne Michaels. It’s got angst, happy times, humor, sexiness, and Jacob is totally swoon worthy. Jacob’s story has become my favorite story of the four Arrowood brothers. I highly recommend Stay for Me and the other stories in the Arrowood brothers series. You won’t be sorry, but save Jacob for last. He is so worth it!
I have really loved and enjoyed this series and was looking forward to reading Jacob’s story. A lot of emotions going through you when reading this emotional yet heartwarming story that will pull on all of your heartstrings. You can’t help but feel what the characters were going through so strongly. I felt it was a long book at times but there was a lot to be told. A definite must read!
Brenna has moved to another city to be closer to family after she has suffered a big loss. Not really knowing what to do with this new reality, she tries the best she can for not only herself but also for her kids. With a good support system around her, she takes it one day at a time and hopes this fresh start is exactly what they need. When she first meets Jacob, there’s an instant attraction between them and the more they get to know each other, their friendship keeps on growing. Although Jacob is not intending to stay in town, there’s something about Brenna that may want him to stay. But nothing goes as planned and when something happens they’ll have to decide whether or not their relationship is worth fighting for…
Can these Arrowood boys get any more amazing??!!! Corinne broke the mold with Jacob!! What an ending to this series!!
This is the final book for the Arrowood Brothers, and it is so bittersweet to say goodbye to Sugarloaf.
Jacob Arrowood is a mega super star actor whose main character is a superhero. For family reasons he must stay at Sugarloaf with his brothers for 6 months to comply with the terms of his father’s will.
He is annoyed but meeting a young boy whose father has recently died, he connects with him and his beautiful mother Brenna. There begins a sensitive, romantic and sexy story about two opposites that are not that different since both are just looking for love and a place to fit.
The way Jacob connects with this family and their sorrow is pretty much a way of overcoming his own pain of losing his mother years ago. They are morning their loved ones and overcoming their pain together.
I loved this book and as I said it is sad to say goodbye to the Arrrowood Brothers!
Every story in this series has been even better than the last one and this one didn’t disappoint.
Single parent romance is my absolute favourite in the romance genre. I really love the dynamic with the children especially when there’s abit of winning over to happen. The two children in this family are really well balanced considering their recent trauma.
Jacob has become my new favourite of this series. He’s full of fun and lightness which this family desperately need. He’s more responsible than I though he would be. He’s adores his own family and has plenty of space in his heart for Brenna and the kids.
Brenna is doing a fantastic job with holding her family together. Having gone through such a tragic event she stronger than she realises. She’s found herself surrounded by people she can form strong friendships with and is definitely in the right place to recover and move forward.
The chemistry sizzles along at a nice steady pace and I didn’t feel at all that Brenna was rushing headlong into a new relationship too fast. I liked that the boundaries were set out clearly although let’s be honest and say it’s always obvious that feelings will creep in sooner or later. They seemed to click on a friendship level first and foremost which really sets the tone.
Brenna’s relationships with her children are strong and her best friend was lots of fun. There’s a lot of light moments to this story as well as the usual highs and lows that Corinne likes to put her readers though.
It’s a fabulous series and I couldn’t recommend it more.
5 emotional, loved-up stars
The final book in the Arrowood series, and oh, what a swoonfest! Jacob and Brenna’s story is sweet, emotional and beautifully romantic as a Hollywood star and a widowed single mother get their chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love.
Jacob is the final of the four Arrowood brothers to have his story told, and his time has finally come to return home and spend six months on the farm where he grew up as part of the requirements of his father’s will. Like his brothers before him, it’s a place with a lot of bad memories, but they have each found love and have settled in Sugarloaf with their families. Jacob has no intention of doing that and while he’s happy to have time with his family, he is counting the days until he can return to his life in LA.
Brenna is new to Sugarloaf. She has moved for a fresh start with her two children after the sudden death of her husband. It’s the town where he grew up, and they are settling in to their new life, though they are still struggling with grief.
From the moment Jacob and Brenna meet, sparks fly. Brenna experiences a stirring of something that she hasn’t felt for a long time, while Jacob is completely swept off his feet in a way he never has been before. It’s sweet and natural, and as they begin to spend time together as ‘friends’, their fierce attraction only grows, and there’s no way they can hide all they are feeling from each other.
“I want to kiss you,” I confess, wanting her to know she’s not misreading anything.
Her breathing accelerates.
“I want to press my lips to yours so fucking much.”
Every time they are together, there’s this mixed feeling of longing and excitement and I was full of anticipation waiting for the big shift. They don’t hide from it, they acknowledge what they’re feeling and they talk about it, and they are wonderfully honest as they give in to their feelings despite knowing that their time together will be limited.
“I will never lie to you. I won’t make you think there’s more if there’s not. I want you. I have never wanted another woman like this. You consume my thoughts, but I can’t promise you more than whatever we share while I’m living here.”
“This thing between us will never be more than a small sliver of time.
We’ll never love, and we’ll never have a future, but we can have now.
I can have him.
For whatever time we’re allowed”
And though they are blazingly passionate with each other, it’s never ‘just sex’. There is strong emotion there from the very beginning, and while they are happy to explore their feelings, neither of them expect to fall so hard. But they do, they own it, and I was in a world of swoon as they willingly and eagerly surrender to it – Jacob, who had never allowed himself to love, and Brenna, who didn’t expect to ever find it again. It’s easy and natural, and there’s this beautiful feeling of meant to be as they embrace it all, even though they both know that ending it will crush them both.
“I can’t do this anymore, this casual thing where I pretend that I’m not completely falling for you.”
“We’re everything I want, and I’m falling in love with you. I want you to come with me because I don’t know that I’ll be able to walk away.”
But making it work long term is a challenge that is going to be hard to overcome. Their lives are completely different, on opposite sides of the country, and the demands of Jacob’s career will put a lot of strain on any relationship. Pain from their past creates issues as they figure it all out, but when they are faced with the possibility of losing it all, they will be forced to reassess their priorities and figure out what it is they truly want.
“You’re going to leave.”
His finger glides down, tracing my jaw. “Ask me to stay for you.”
It’s a beautiful, beautiful story that is so romantic and swoony. Jacob had my heart pounding, and I was lost in dreamy romantic heaven as he opened himself up and allowed himself to fall so hard for Brenna and her kids (speaking of which, the relationship between Jacob and Brenna’s son, Sebastian, is totally ovary-melting! *swoon*). The two of them are sensible and realistic, and I was feeling everything right along with them, and I loved their journey so much.
Along the way, Jacob’s brothers and their family are a big part of the story. They welcome Brenna with open arms, and are fully supportive of the two of them. There’s also a whole lot of teasing and banter that goes on between the brothers, and I loved seeing them all together and so playful. Jacob is the jokester of the group, and there are some fantastic scenes that had me laughing out loud as they joke and bicker, but at the heart of it, they went through hell as kids, and their experiences bound them together tightly. There is so much love between them, and seeing them together with their girls and their kids is just beautiful.
I have loved this series, and it ends on a high with this gorgeous book. I adored Jacob and Brenna’s story, and finished it feeling all loved-up, with a huge smile on my face.
5 stars!
I want to talk about characters that make you swoon….because Jacob made me swoon! Just the things he said and the things he did without really realizing it just made him my favorite Arrowood brother! I just loved all the banter with the brothers. I have dreams of being part of this fictional family. I thoroughly enjoyed this story between Jacob and Brenna. It was sweet, and swoony, and hit you will all the feels. The author did a great job writing their story and making us fall in love with them. I highly recommend this book and any book in the Arrowood Brothers series!
They say all good things must come to an end! However this is one of those things that ending you are just not ready for.
From Connor and Ellie, to Declan and Sydney, Sean and Devney and last but certainly not least Jacob and Brenna. These Arrowood brothers and there amazing women are something that just consumes you from start to finish!
Corinne has a way of taking you and submerging you into the her world of these beautiful characters and she did exactly that with Stay for me. Such an amazing ending to an absolutely perfect series. I fell hard for all the Arrowood brothers but Jacob Arrowood, this man is something else. I loved Brenna and her kids Melanie and Sebastian are the sweetest, I love how star struck her son is with Jacob. Everything about this book was perfect. It has all the feels. You will laugh, ugly cry and get angry! So sad that this is ending, but a brilliant ending it was.
