From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes the final poignant standalone love story in the Arrowood Brothers Series. Hollywood taught me everything I know about relationships—except how to be in one. As an actor, I became an expert at faking it. Faking that I wasn’t affected by my childhood. Faking that I was okay. Faking that I knew how to save the day, the girl, the whole … the whole damn world.
But I’ve always known the truth—I’m no one’s hero.
Until I’m forced to move back to Sugarloaf for six months, and Brenna Allen offers me a chance to prove otherwise. She’s everything I never knew I wanted, but can’t have. Her broken heart, perfect face, and adorable children turn my world upside down. Instead of preparing for my next leading role, I’m directing a middle school play for this small-town single mother.
All to make her smile.
The more time I spend here, the more I want to stay. Build a life in this town that I swore I’d leave—for her.
But when the world comes crashing down around us, I’m forced to decide if staying for her is the right choice or if leaving is better for the woman I love.

I have been soo looking forward to Jacob’s story and Michaels did not disappoint with him. It is so raw and emotional but so passionate and uplifting at the same time. The immense feels that you are hit with are unbelievable as you navigate a big shot movie star with a school psychologist that has been through the ringer. Their connection is such an undercurrent that you feel it build and how much Jacob wants to be involved. How Brenna is gun shy, especially with two kids after losing her husband. There is perfect push and pull and enough banter to have you swoon, giggle and want to cry for everything that they endure.
Overall, I loved this book. It was everything and more that I needed in a Michaels book that will have you on your toes and dying to know more. Rooting for the couple and giggling at the Arrowood brothers antics. I am sad to leave these guys but they have their happily ever after and I do hope we see glimpses of them in future stories!
Such a great final book to a great series.
This is the story of Jacob & Brenna. Jacob is an actor in Hollywood. According to his dad’s will, he has to stay on the property his dad owned for six months, in the same small town where he grew up. Brenna lost her husband. He flew planes in the military, and his plane went down. She has two children. They’ve just moved back to her husband’s small home town where he was laid to rest. They have just moved into a new house. She has a new job as a district counselor in the school. She is a psychologist. The two meet when she brings Jacob’s sister-in-law a casserole, but she is away on a trip with Jacob’s brother. Brenna’s son is a big fan of Jacob. This is such a tear-jerker and an emotional story, but there is also happiness and lots of love, and it’s funny, too. Corinne Michaels is such a greater writer. I recommend this whole series to readers. These books will melt your heart.

Freaking loved every page of Jacob and Brenna’s story. Flawlessly written and heartfelt, their journey will take you on one like no other. Jacob was swoon-worthy and so down to earth with Brenna’s kids and the people in Sugarloaf. I loved all 4 books in this series but will say this was my favorite. This is a must read!
Have you ever read a book so well-written, it actually takes your breath away? There were many moments in this book when it seemed I couldn’t take a breath until I found out what happened. And this speaks to Corinne Michaels as a writer, the creator of the Arrowood series. Stay for Me concludes the small town series of brothers who have to come home to settle their deceased father’s estate. They have to each stay for six months and then decide if they want to keep their part of the land and stay in Sugarloaf, a place every single brother swore to never return to. Jacob is an actor making it big in Hollywood when his number comes up. There, he meets Brenna, a widowed high school counselor who catches Jacob’s eye. Their chemistry is undeniably strong and so sweet, but there are issues that need to be dealt with before anything can be pursued. Stay for Me was the perfect ending to a whirlwind of a series, with a mix of tropes, storylines, tears, laughs, and all the feels.
Sigh, I’m so sad to see the end of the Arrowood brothers but dang, Jacob did not disappoint, just like his brothers did not either. Brenna story is tragic, heartbreaking, and so emotional because you can relate to everything she feels being a newly widowed mom trying to work and provide for her children, mentally and physically. The way Jacob and Brenna quickly connected and depended on each other was good to see. Momma Arrowood had the absolute best truths about an arrow that she told each of the boys and they all express so much. Jacob’s truth didn’t disappoint to round out the boys. “Removing half the feather will create the curve and alter its course.” I loved this book and so sad to see the Arrowood brothers end.
I jumped in blind with this series with Stay For Me and it has me coming back to read the other books as I am captivated and hooked. This is an emotional story that had me tearing up at the first chapter. A story that will tear your heart out and mend it all in one intense and moving love story. Jacob and Brenna’s story is one of heartbreak, fun and love. There are ups and downs and moments of absolute adoration. Theirs is a story of healing, personal truths and second chances. As you wipe the sadness away with a smile for what is a truly beautiful heart wrenching love story.
Holey Moley….what a thrilling ride! Each book with the Arrowood brothers was another emotional ride to perfection but this one….wow! All of the brothers have been so broken, so tortured and so resilient….Jacob brings up the ending with such perfection! Love this book and even though I had an ARC, I am a constant re reader and bought it immediately!!! I will be doing a re read on all these books from sweet wonderful Connor all the way to dreamy Jacob. And for those who love Corinne’s other spectacular reads, get ready for some out of this world cameos!!!
What a way for the Arrowood Brother’s stories to end. Jacob and Brenna are relationship goals. This book has all the feels. I’m a sucker for a single parent romance, something about the young kids that just fill my heart. I highly recommend Stay For Me
Right when I think I can’t possibly love a story anymore … Jacob Arrowood knocks me off my feet. This man has broken the mold on perfection. His patience , his charm. I haven’t even gotten to how swoon worthy and sexy he is. Brenna is rebuilding her life after a tragedy and Jacob isn’t what she is expecting. With two completely different lives. What unfolds is truly a rollercoaster of emotions. Tragic pasts, naviagating unknown futures . This is the type of story you feel breathless reading. So absolutely in love. Must read!
WOW! what an ending to this fantastic series!! Corinne really brought her A game with this amazing emotional and captivating series.
Its time for the Movie star of the family to have his turn. Jacob was expecting a relaxing 6 months, spending time with his brothers and new families. He just didn’t count on Brenna! Soon as they meet i could practically see the steam coming off my kindle with their connection!
I have loved each and every book in this series and each one has just gotten better and better. This one has fast become my favourite. It was simply EVERYTHING and my review will never do this enough justice
Miss Michaels saved the best for last! I adored these 2 and I read it in one sitting because that’s what you do with a Corrine Michaels ARC, you devour it!! incredible story and what a way to end the series of these incredible brothers!
Raw and emotional. Angsty and sweet. This was an absolutely beautiful story that has me with bittersweet feelings as I hate seeing this series come to an end. I love these characters. I have completely fallen in love with them all and I can’t wait for more from Corinne. I definitely look forward to reading what she has in store for us next. I know I will love it.
5 Finding an Unexpected Second Chance Stars
The entire time Corinne Michaels was writing this book, the last book in this amazing series, she kept teasing us with how much she loved Jacob and that he would change how we think about the entire series… AND SHE WAS RIGHT!!!
I’ve just reached the end of the book and OH MY STARS my heart is bursting… I’ve cried, I’ve laughed and I’ve swooned! Jacob Arrowood knows how to leave a presence in my heart. I absolutely loved how he fell for Brenna and her kids Sebastian and Melanie. He understood what they were feeling having just lost their dad and seeing his relationship with Sebastian build while doing things they both loved was incredibly sweet.
And Brenna as much as she didn’t want to fall for this man… he’s not staying in Sugarloaf, has no intention of coming back anytime soon after his six months is up, but some things are unavoidable and their attraction too strong to deny. Ms. Michaels has not only written a love story, it’s a healing story. Both Jacob and Brenna have some unresolved issues and being together allows them to explore and soothe those wounds. And their love scenes are passionate, beautiful and HOT!!!
This book does a wonderful job of wrapping up the series and seeing all four brothers being the family they had only once dreamed of. The women they’ve married and their children are everything Elizabeth Arrowood had wished for her boys and I have no doubt she’s looking down on them with joy, pride and love!!
This is my second time with Corinne Michaels and I can assure you that this woman knows the way to my heart. I love how she manages to constantly bring a smile to my face and the flutters in my chest while reading a book of hers.
In Stay for Me, the final standalone in the Arrowood Brothers Series, we get to follow Jacob and Brenna’s love story, and OMG do I feel assaulted! Jacob has stolen my heart just like the author herself has predicted and now I feel like I need to read the other books about the brothers right now!
Jacob is a famous actor who is spending some time in his hometown in order to prepare for his next role. He doesn’t like the circumstances under which he is forced to spend his time there, but things change from the very moment he lays eyes on Brenna, a mother of two children, one of them who happens to be a great fan of Jacob’s. She is also a widow and not looking for a relationship. At least that’s what she thought — things definitely change when she meets Jacob and unexpected feelings take over.
I love that Jacob is a good guy and broken in a way. What’s more, he always have Brenna’s best interests in mind. He is really sweet and altruistic, which got me swooning throughout. My favorite thing about this book is that the characters simply don’t deny their feelings. They simply go for it, even though there are so much to consider and believe me, they do.
Corinne also surprises us with some events that made me hold my breath a little bit.
When the HEA is delivered, we can’t help but crave more and more of these two and all the family.
Lovers of small town, friends to lovers, angsty and sweet romances can’t get wrong with this one.
Loved it!
Jacobs time finally came, the time he joined his brothers and found his true love in this small town they all swore they would leave the second their time was up!
And there’s no surprise when I say This story will break your heart but as always It will be healed!
Another emotional rollercoaster story from
Corinne doing what she does best giving us all the angst, all feels, tears and smiles. Laughs and sobs !
This story brought the brothers all back together and was a brilliant ending to a what’s been a truly amazing series with great characters and the exciting surprise visits from some of our favourite past characters !
One of the best things about a single parent story is it means there’s more than just two main characters, the child(ren) play a huge part just as important and getting that bond right between the non-parent character, in this instance, Jacob is priority! And Jacob and Sebastian form a father son relationship, and instant bond and understanding of trust and it really is heart warming.
Brenna and Jacob are destined for happiness but are both too unselfish to ask the other to give them their all but with a chemistry and connection too strong how can one ask the question or the other need to hear the question ‘Stay for me’
WOW… what a way to end a series! Another Arrowood brother to obsess over. Great story… Great Characters… LOVE the chemistry… I wish Ms Michaels would find an Arrowood brother that was adopted so we can continue with these boys! 1000000 stars!
Heartwarming story of finding love when you least expect it. The author weaves all the elements of renewal, family and breakdown barriers to create a riveting story.
Jacob’s back, but perhaps not so thrilled about it, especially because he has to live in what he calls a shack. He’s only back for awhile, though, so maybe he can handle it. Then he meets a gorgeous woman who lives in his sister-in-law’s former house. Her son is clearly a fan of his, and Jacob wants to spend time with him because it’s clear the boy just needs some guy time. If it means he can get a little close time with the boy’s beautiful mom, well, that wouldn’t be so bad either…
But, as I said, Jacob’s only in town for a short while before he has to head back to his Hollywood life, and Brenna is not about to open her heart up for more pain like the pain she felt after her husband died on the job. But something about seeing Jacob bond with her son does something to her heart, makes her feel things she’s never quite felt before. Can she let herself enjoy what she could have with Jacob, even if it has an expiration date on it?
Damn, this conclusion to the Arrowood Brothers is aimed straight at the heart. It broke my heart, I will fully admit, but by the end, I had a huge smile on my face as Jacob and Brenna found with each other all the happiness and joy that these two lovable sweethearts deserved. The brothers have come full circle here, and I’m just glad I got to read (cry) and fall in love with the last brother and the beautiful family he finds in Brenna, Sebastian and Melanie.
Stay for Me is a gorgeous second chance at love contemporary romance featuring a swoony Hollywood star and a widow single mom of two. This is the fourth and final book in the Arrowood Brothers series and I’m gonna say it… Corinne Michaels saved the best brother for last. I loved everything about this book. It’s emotional, heartfelt and full of love. What a great addition to an incredible series.
If you’ve been following this series, you know that Jacob Arrowood must return to Sugarloaf because a stipulation in his father’s will states each brother must live in their childhood home for 6 months in order to keep the land. Connor, Declan and Sean have all had their stay. It’s Jacob’s turn.
Ok, let’s get the obvious out of the way, I am crazy for this man. Crazy! Ohmygosh! He is everything you want in a hero. Swoony, considerate and ridiculously hot. I was convinced Sean was my favorite but that title now belongs to Jacob. The way he interacts with Brenna and her kids, especially Sebastian, will melt your heart. There is so much rightness and passion between Brenna and Jacob. It was apparent from the start.
I have just as much admiration for Brenna. She has unbelievable strength. Losing her husband tragically and moving to a new place would cause anyone to break down. But she kept it together for her family. I loved her relationship with her kids, Melanie and Sebastian. She is so open and honest. It feels so stable and safe.
Stay for Me was the perfect ending for this wonderful series. Like the other Arrowood Brothers books, this will make you feel all the things. Corinne Michaels has delivered another must read.
