From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes the final poignant standalone love story in the Arrowood Brothers Series. Hollywood taught me everything I know about relationships—except how to be in one. As an actor, I became an expert at faking it. Faking that I wasn’t affected by my childhood. Faking that I was okay. Faking that I knew how to save the day, the girl, the whole … the whole damn world.
But I’ve always known the truth—I’m no one’s hero.
Until I’m forced to move back to Sugarloaf for six months, and Brenna Allen offers me a chance to prove otherwise. She’s everything I never knew I wanted, but can’t have. Her broken heart, perfect face, and adorable children turn my world upside down. Instead of preparing for my next leading role, I’m directing a middle school play for this small-town single mother.
All to make her smile.
The more time I spend here, the more I want to stay. Build a life in this town that I swore I’d leave—for her.
But when the world comes crashing down around us, I’m forced to decide if staying for her is the right choice or if leaving is better for the woman I love.

As with Corinne Michaels’ other series, there is a sense of anticipation and dread when reading the final book in a series. While eagerly waiting to devour the last story, this reader didn’t want the Arrowood brother stories to end. Though Declan and Connor appeared more prominently throughout all the books, Jacob’s childhood was not thoroughly revealed until this story. After reading the development and angst felt by both Jacob and Brenna, this reader’s dilemma was who would be the favorite Arrowood brother. This story was made more memorable with the bonding moments between Jacob and Brenna’s son, Sebastian. As with her other books, there was also a surprise appearance of a character in her earlier unrelated series.
The reason why Corinne Michaels has such a devoted following is due to her unique ability to engage a reader from the first book until the last book in a series. Each couple’s story develops at its own pace. Supporting characters can at times leave indelible impressions on a reader, even if they may only briefly appear in the book. If you are looking for a quick satisfaction, this is not the book for you. Corinne Michaels’ books are to be savored and mulled over.
This is a must read story!! It has drama, angst, all while you are being sent on a roller coaster of emotions.

This was my first book in the series that I read and after reading this, I will definitely be picking up the others and reading them!! This book was sweet, sexy and gut wrenching. It was beautiful to watch Brenna open her heart to love and handle it the best way for the kids. She was hurt beyond belief when her husband died but meeting Jacob and hanging out with him, she knew he was different. Her husband was a good man but he put himself first and left her to pick up the pieces when he left. Losing him left a huge hole in their family but getting to know the Arrowhead family and especially Jacob changed things for them. Jacob is a actor making his name HUGE in Hollywood. He is sent home to get himself a clear head. He didn’t plan on having a relationship, he just wanted to be in and out but fate had other plans. Leave it to the kids to play a huge part in them getting together. Thanks to Sebastian’s love of acting, the plan was set. This was a perfect way to end the series. Jacob has a heart of Gold and Brenna truly cares about everyone. These two have magic together! I absolutely loved this book and want to read more!!
4.5 stars!!!
I’m not ready for this series to end!!! The Arrowood brothers have made me swoon, cry, and fall in love with every one of them. Stay for Me and Jacob are now my FAVORITE. There’s something so exciting when one of your go-to authors writes a book with a trope I can’t get enough of!!! This was the kind of book you savor. Thank you Corinne for giving us this addicting, small town romance. I can’t wait for more!!!
I don’t think there is a book I have read by this author that doesn’t touch your heart strings. I don’t have alot to say about this book even though it’s the last one.
All I can say is flippen brilliant. This book pulls you in from the start and totally messes you up.
I loved Jacob and Brenna’s story. Jacob was #Perfect. Huge heart and totally sweet and loving and not to mention HOT.
Brenna is trying to hold herself together and her family. She and her kids were so close and totally supported each other.
Like I said will drag you in and make you fall inlove with all the characters. This series has been my favourite of this author and I so can’t wait to see what is next.
I love The Arrowwod Brothers and am sad it’s over. Stay for Me was amazing, and I thought the last book was my favorite.
I absolutely loved Jacob. He is one of those characters you fall for after only reading a page. You can’t help but envy the family bond.
Corinne Michaels broke my heart in a way only she can and put it back together. If you have not read The Arrowood Brothers series you need to, you will fall in love with this family.
Must Read!
“There’s nothing in the world that could make me stay.”
Well thank you Corinne Michaels, I was a hot mess after reading chapter one!! Yes chapter one!!
I was hit by a wave of emotions …
My heart , my poor heart felt so much for Brenna, Mel and Sebastian!
The Allens move to Sugarloaf for a new start and new opportunities.
It’s Jacob Arrowood’s turn to spend six months in the family land and let me tell you … he’s not happy about it! Being a famous actor who is used to comfort and luxury, he definitely will have to do without all of this in Sugarloaf.
Jacob meets Brenna and something clicked. I love the relationship between Sebastian and Jacob and what Jacob does to make him happy! We get to know the real Jacob Arrowood and not the Hollywood sweetheart…
The family’s routine – Sunday meals or Wednesday movie night – is so endearing and make you feel like you’re part of the clan.
Jacob can’t deny his attraction for Brenna but is it too soon? Is Brenna ready to move on ? Will he stay for her?
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes, broke hearts, and my moral compass is a bit off.”
The emotion and passion depicted in the book, just serves to provide us with one of the most stunningly touching and heartfelt story à la Corinne Michaels.
The romance between them didn’t just evolve, it took root and there is nothing that anyone could have done to prevent it.
Stay For Me will take you on a journey through every possible emotion, I found myself laughing out loud at some of the situations but in other places, it was difficult to see past the pain and emotion coming off the page.
The detail and emotion and the meaning portrayed in every section of this book is just so beautiful.
Sad to see the series ended.
She has done it again… I have a new favorite Arrowood brother, Jacob swooped in and won my heart.
Dear Writer lady is a genius in so many ways. I was loving Breana and Jacob’s story, thinking I was prepared for what she’d throw at us… hahaha! Joke was on me! It came out of nowhere, but seeing these two maneuver and work through it all was absolutely amazing. I loved every bit of their story and I couldn’t get enough of it.
I’m so sad to see the series end, because these brothers own me.
This is book 4 of the Arrowood brothers. Brenna has moved the small town to near her mother and father in law after the death of her husband. As she tries to help her kids and her slef get over the death and find some normalcy for the kids. She goes to return a casserole dish and meet the very sexy Jacob Arrowood. Jacob is being forces to spend 6 konths on his famiky land so that his brother can inherit it after the death of ther father. If you read the other 3 books you know their father was abusive had drinking problem after the death of their mother. Jacob is instantly attractedto Brenna she is beautiful but not in the Hollywood way he has been around since making it as an actor. This story is heartfelt and a roller coaster of feelings as these two get to know each other and try to figure out how to keep from falling in love anf then how to make it work. This is bar far my favorite book out of the 4. Jacob is the sweetest and the way he works with the kids and how ho est they are with each other is refreshing. Corinne Michaels has a way of writing that makes you cry one minute and laugh the nect. You dont want to put this book done .
Wow…I think Jacob Arrowood may have just put his brother’s to shame! Everyone of these Arrowood brother’s books just keep getting better and better. I really didn’t know how I was going to feel about Jacob with him being an actor and all that. That whole Hollywood thing isn’t a major grabbing point for me in most books. I should of known better with Corinne Michaels that she would blow anything I thought about a book before would be smashed to dust. Jacob was so beyond what I had envisioned or even imagined. He was so sweet and kind in everything that he does. His family means everything to him. The things these men have been through is not easy and I love seeing their brotherly bond come through these pages. I also feel a small connection to Brenna with having my own husband in the military. I never went through the enormous loss she did but I understand the life and the feeling of having the whole household on your shoulders. I loved see her and her kids with Jacob and the things he went out of his way to do for them. The end of the book was so hard for me. I wanted to scream and cry and everything in between and I’m so sad to see these boys and their story come to an end. If you’ve been following this series Jacob will not be disappointing!
I wholeheartedly loved this book. A widowed mother and a movie star, together they are healing each other, finding themselves, and falling in love.
I love these two characters. Corinne has a way of writing characters that you just can’t help but love and connect with. I enjoyed Breanna, she is strong and even when her grief is crippling some days, she still gets up and does for her children. The way Corinne writes Breannas character and how she gradually overcame grief is a testament to her writing skills.
My personal favorite from this book is Jacob. I love a good guy and Jacob is a great guy! He is how I assume actors really are, just themselves. I like how his character isn’t cocky and showy like a lot of heroes are in books now a days. He’s so very loveable and feels very real.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommended it. You do not have to read the others in the series before this one, it can be read as a stand alone.
5 stars! Fabulous job Miss. Michaels!
I have loved each book in the series – one more than the previous one!
This book brings in some serious angst. Corinne Michaels has put together an impossible scenario for these two and the need to continue to read to get to the HEA was imperative. Things were not done as needed at my home because I was glued to this book.
Brenna – a woman who has moved to be near her dead husband’s family and a Hollywood star are about to find out – how in the world you can mix these two lives and be happy. Brenna knows what it’s like to be left for months on end as her husband was in the service – and to be frank – she didn’t love that part of it. Jacob – back in the town he grew up, unwillingly – to fulfill his father’s last wishes is back for 6 months. He loves his job and having a long-term relationship just isn’t in the cards…
But of course – In comes Corinne to make my heart jump, my breath is held for chapters on end! Ughhh – it hurts so good.
Brenna and Jacob’s story starts off with quite the bang and captured my attention from the opening pages. This book is truly packed with so many feels, gave me a little anxiety at one point and was a story which I didn’t want to let go of. The characters were beautifully written and with relatable thought processes and emotions which drew me in as a reader that much more. I truly felt as if this was an outstanding read and such a great reminder of the heart wants what the heart wants along with another life lesson of an arrow.
I’ve been waiting for Jacob’s book and I was not disappointed! He’s the last Arrowood boy to come home and like his brothers before him, he thinks that he will serve his six months and move on. But if you’ve read the previous books, you will know that that is not how things played out for his brothers. Of course he thinks he will be the exception, but then he meets Brenna.
I loved Jacob and Brenna. They both know that getting involved was a terrible idea, but they also realized that being just friends was impossible. They stayed “just friends” as long as they could until they just couldn’t do it anymore.
My favorite thing about this book was that we finally had all the Arrowood boys in one place at the same time and it was wonderful. I loved the relationship between all of them, especially when they are teasing each other. As soon as they all realize that Jacob is going through what they all went through, they’re supportive, but they also tell him that he needs to be careful considering Brenna’s recent personal loss. Nothing like some brotherly love to help him through things.
This book is a great ending to the series, but we do meet a character who will be getting her own book! I won’t say anything else, but an important even that occurs in this book makes way for a future Corinne Michaels’ book and I can’t wait to read it!
Jacob and Brenna’s story pulled at all of the heartstrings. From the moment these two met there were sparks and you just knew that Jacob was going to want to stay for her. Brenna has two kids and baggage from her first marriage that left her a widow. Jacob carries his own baggage with his career and his father. These two fight against the odds to be together. The story is filled with emotion and ups and down that will leave your heart hurting, but never fear, Ms. Michaels will put it back together. This is an amazing story to wrap up this beloved series.
It was also awesome to see so many characters from other series pop up in this book. Loved that!
What a fabulous ending to a fantastic series! With each book, I thought it couldn’t get better. I was wrong. Corinne Michaels saved the best for last, in my opinion.
I honestly wasn’t sure how I felt about Jacob going into this book, but he blew me away. He’s so sweet and sexy, but he also kept himself closed off. Brenna and her kids were dealt a tragic hand and they’re doing their best to survive. The chemistry between Jacob and Brenna was instant and undeniable. And it wasn’t just between him and Brenna, he had a connection with the kids too and it was so heartwarming.
This book has it all. So many emotions. Sadness, happiness, sexiness, emotional turmoil, and an amazing ending. This is a must read.
Holy wow! Corinne Michaels definitely saved the best for last even though I loved ALL the Arrowood brothers! Can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this whole series and I’m a little sad there aren’t more brothers to love. Read it…I have no doubt you’ll love Jacob as much as I did!!
Stay For Me
Corrine definitely saved the best for last with this one! I loved all of the Arrowood Brother’s stories however-Jacob and Brenna’s story.. melts your soul!
Brenna- a widowed single mom and new to Sugarloaf is starting over after the loss of her husband in his hometown.
Jacob- the Hollywood actor, forever bachelor and Brenna’s son’s favorite super hero is now stuck in Sugarloaf for his 6 month term.. The place he despises the most and plans to never return when his time is up..
Together these two learn how to make passing time and moving forward Movie worthy!!
So in love with this story and this couple!!
Each book in the series out does the one before it, just when you think you have a favorite brother you meet another one. Jacob is the latest Arrowood brother to steal your heart and sky rocket to the top of your book boyfriend list. Jacob has knocked his brothers from the top spot! I mean how could be not, he’s just so swoon worthy.
One thing I have really loved about this series is the banter between the brothers and the wives. You can feel their connection, what makes them family. Michaels’ creates a world you want to be a part of.
Corinne is the master of creating a magic story that will elicit emotions you wouldn’t think a book could evoke. She’s the queen of angst!!
I read and reviewed this book voluntarily.
Jacob is my favorite brother….
Jacob is a Hollywood star, home in Sugarloaf to serve out his six month sentence per his father’s will. He wants just wants to get it done and over, sell his piece of land and go back to Hollywood…. but, Brenna…..
Brenna is a widowed military wife with 2 kids. After the death of her husband she moved to his home town, where she meets Jacob.
If you have never read one of Corinnes books, you must start. She is a true story teller. You feel all the emotions, get ripped apart and broken and then out back together with each of her books, and this one is not exception.
Another must read.
I normally do not use quotes in my reviews but this one it just spoke to me.
“Look at me, I’m a school psychologist. What the hell makes me special? Nothing. Except, to that kid who comes into my office when he’s at his lowest and I give him something to hold on to, I might be everything. Heroes don’t wear capes or save the world, they do the right thing. Heroes don’t get to define their moments, the people they save do.”
