Feisty, stubborn Athena and calm, easygoing Logan – do opposites attract? You bet they do. Another great read about the Reynolds sisters, but don’t worry if you’ve never read about the other sisters, this is still a good stand alone read. However, I guarantee you will want to go back and read all of the other Misfit Inn books.

From the first sentence, this book grabbed me and pulled me into “the zone”. I could smell the food and hear the clatter of cutlery. Then it switched, to the smell of fresh tilled earth, plants growing and the undercurrent of manure.
This, to me, is the hallmark of a fantastic book, and an equally fantastic Author. To bring the audience so completely into their world, that you become immediately invested in each person introduced and feel each triumph and heartbreak with them, as well as being able to experience the environments painted.
Thank you, for making me stay up LONG after I needed to sleep because I just couldn’t put it down.

Great story that makes one want to continue reading all night just to see what happens next! Lots of twists and turns through the story that keeps you guessing. The Reynolds sisters are very realistic in their relationships with each other and how they interact with each other. I have three sisters of my own and we always have differences and or disagreements similar to what is set out in this book. I really loved this book! Marshmallow encased in cast Iron — This one just melted my heart!
Kait Nolan’s The Misfit Inn series is special. Each book I’ve read in this series so far touches my heart in a new way, but at it’s core, this is a series about family–and how family isn’t necessarily something you’re born into, but that it can be something you become a part of, or that you create or grow on your own. Each book in the series (so far, but I have hopes it will extend beyond this once the sisters get their due) focuses on a different sister of the four sisters that became sisters when they were brought together by a very special foster mom, Joan. In Stay a Little Longer, we are getting Athena’s story. Athena is a famous chef, with a restaurant in Chicago, far away from the Misfit Inn her sisters Pru and Kennedy and their husbands are running back in Eden Ridge, Tennessee. We’ve met Athena in the first two books, and to be honest, I wasn’t her biggest fan. She came across a bit mean, and I wasn’t sure I believed she even had a soft side. There were a couple of glimpses that maybe….but I wasn’t convinced. One of Kait Nolan’s biggest strengths, though, is her character development. All her characters are unique, especially in this series, and Nolan is very good at helping you get to know them, warts and all. In this book, Nolan uses our “Farmer Boy” hero, Logan to help us get to know Athena, which I found a very clever approach. Logan sees a side of Athena that her sisters don’t often see, and as a result, we the readers get to see that side of Athena as Logan pushes past her carefully constructed fortress walls. Logan sees what not everyone else sees…that Athena is constant on guard, protecting herself from everything and everyone in an effort to avoid pain. I really enjoyed this book–but don’t read it while you’re hungry. I seriously ended up getting out a cookbook and planning a terrific meal for tomorrow as a result of reading this book! There is some humor here, and some VERY sexy times…but for me the best parts of the book are the real people, with real challenges finding their way through their difficulties and learning how to relate to each other and to others. Athena is a difficult woman…but by the end of this book, I really respected her and admired her strength. I couldn’t put the book down until I got to the end, because I just could not leave Athena in the mess she was in! Kait Nolan is an automatic “buy” for me, and I reread all her books as comfort food, and am happy to report that this is another one bound for my “favorites” shelf. I highly recommend this book!

It just gets better and better, after reading this story I re-read “Those Sweet Words” before picking up this book again for another read. Ms Nolan’s words weave delightful pictures in my mind that makes you share each characters feelings as if you’re in the room with them

Athena has had a hard time of it lately (understatement!!) and Logan is the perfect guy to get her through it. The progress of their relationship was right on, considering all that Athena went through when she went back home. While books are getaways from real life, I also like when the stories are not so far off the mark that all you can think of is how unrealistic it is. This book had a great balance between realistic and unrealistic. Looking forward to the next one!

This book was great. I love that Athena has such strong character. This book had so much in it. A little tear-jerking, a few laugh out loud scenes, and a couple of, “I didn’t see that coming,” scenes. I don’t think a lot was known about Athena before this book. The Misfit Inn series is great. I think I need to re-read the others!

The latest book in the Misfit Inn series focuses on Athena, the tough as nails (yet vulnerable) sister, who is a master chef. After leaving her dream in Chicago and returning home to Tennessee, Athena realizes Chicago wasn’t her dream after all. As usual, Kait Nolan does a great job telling a tale that is moving, funny, and altruistic all at the same time! While it definitely works as a stand alone novel, for those of us who have visited the Misfit Inn before, this is the continuation of a great story…one that we can’t wait to see continued in the next book.

Stay a little longer
I’ve read all the misfit inn books and enjoyed them all. I have to say I loved Athena’s story, read it in two days. I love how Logan is able to see the real Athena, the side of her that she never shows anyone. The connection of the farm had me in tears. I also loved Ari presence in the story. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next one.

Nolan delivers readers a well written and character driven small town romance. Fans of small town romance will love the third in the Misfit Inn series.
Athena and Logan have chemistry when they met at a family wedding and the one night stand leaves Logan wanting more. Athena’s life in Chicago blows up when she loses her cool and her tantrum ends up on social media. She returns to her hometown to reset her life and decide what is next. Can she be satisfied with life in a small town or will she need to get back into the fast-paced life of the big city?
Readers will enjoy the well developed characters with their engaging dialogue.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary small town romance.

Kait Nolan gives another charming romance with characters that are likeable and believable. The Misfit Inn and it’s inhabitants come to life and make the reader want to learn more, not only about Athena and Logan, but the others as well. Logan is a great mix of outdoor guy and intellectual. Athena is an interesting mix and it is interesting to see her realize what her goals really are. This is a great book to curl up with and get lost in.

Athena and Logan’s love story is book #4 in the Misfit Inn series. Kait delivers wit, charm, humor, and sass to keep you hooked from beginning to end! The characters are believable, genuine. I loved it!!
Loved it! Kait Nolan has come through again. Stay A Little Longer is an enjoyable return to the Misfit Inn and it’s inhabitants. Athena and Logan’s journey to happily ever after keeps you reading nonstop until the end. All the characters are easy to relate to and leave the reader wanting more.
Athena and Logan spent a memorable night together after her sister Kennedy’s wedding. But distance made it difficult for them to pursue anything more and soon Athena was dating her partner in Chicago.
When Athena catches her boyfriend in a compromising position with her sous chef, she has a outburst in the kitchen, after which she leaves the restaurant and returns to her hometown.
As Logan and Athena reconnect, will they get their HEA this time or so they have to wait a little longer ?
Stay a little longer is a heartwarming and enjoyable read. I loved Athena and Logan’s journey and all its twists and turns. They share undeniable chemistry that adds to the story. I also enjoyed catching up with the sisters from the previous books and look forward to reading Maggie’s book.
I absolutely love this series! Just when you think the love for the people in this town can’t get any better, Kait Nolan surprises us with yet another amazing emotional tale. This time it’s Logan and Athena’s. The chemistry between them is definitely HOT, but the raw emotions and simple caring will blow you away. It’s so much fun to re-visit the intertwining personalities in this series. They just keep getting more “real” with each new book. This is another MUST READ!

I think this is my favorite Misfit book so far. I felt bad for Athena for the way her ex treated her. I wanted to wring his neck for her! I was able to understand Athena more when I found out how she grew up and the things that happened to her. Sometimes it is sad how much our childhood can affect the person we turn out to be. I loved Logan and how patient and understanding he was with Athena. His understanding helped to give Athena a safe place with Logan. I love the family that Joan created with all the girls. Their love for each other is so heartwarming. Ari, who Pru has adopted, was such a joy to see how much she believes in love for her aunts. I admit that I got hungry reading about all the food Athena was making. I really loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Loved this book. The characters the story just everything. The feeling of family, small town, heat and hea.

Athena comes home to the Misfit Inn and her family after a bitter humiliation at her restaurant, Olympus, in Chicago. More humiliation piles on as the world finds out and judges her. Her family stands behind her as does her Farmer Boy, Logan, whom she meets in her lowest moments. But where does she go from here toward achieving her goals of a career in food with the need of taking care of her Dad, who’s in a nursing home. Unexpected twists make this a page turner
This story of Logan and Athena is so delightful. You find out why Athena, a top chef, winds up leaving Chicago and going back home to the Misfit Inn, which is where Athena and her foster siblings were raised by their late foster mother. She discovers that her friend, Logan, now owns the farm where she lived as a child until ending up with her foster family. Her father is still in the area, but in a nursing home unable to communicate much and Athena feels responsible for his care. It is so fun seeing how the Athena and Logan reconnect with each other and where their relationship goes. Another great story by Kait Nolan. So great, I read it in one sitting because I just had to know how the story ended.
