Athena Reynolds is an award winning chef with her own restaurant in Chicago. Logan Maxwell owns an organic farm in Eden’s Ridge, the town Athena’s family lives in. They hooked up at her sister’s wedding and kept in touch until Athena began dating someone else.
When Athena’s world crumbles around her in Chicago, she heads home to Eden’s Ridge. She meets up with Logan again but they don’t fall into a relationship right away.
Logan seems to be the only one who can break through Athena’s walls, but there are still some things she needs to figure out on her own.
Athena soon learns the true meaning of love and family and I couldn’t have been more thrilled about how this story played out.

Another wonderful Misfit Inn story! Logan and Athena, once again, make me want to be living there! Beautiful story as only Kait Nolan can tell! Every second of this book draws you in and makes you fell everything. Please, read this book (and the others in this series…or anything Kait Nolan writes!). A definite 5 star review from me!!!
Logan is a local farmer and Athena is a big city chef who has come home to lick her wounds and to try and figure out what is next. This is a great story about overcoming your own obstacles in you head to find true love. Very well written and it does keep you guessing what will happen.

This is the third book in the Misfit Inn series and its Logan and Athena’s story. Logan is an organic farmer and Athena is a chef. This is a stand alone book but we get to visit with Athena’s sisters again that we met in earlier books. I liked Logan but at first I didn’t care for Athena. When I got to know her, I liked her too. I was given an ARC for an honest review. I really liked this book and think that everyone will like it too. It has plenty of romance with several laugh out loud scenes.
It’s a good piece of advice to plan when you read a Kait Nolan book! Why? Because you cant put it down and life MUST stop! I LOVE all characters and locations of Kait Nolans imagination, but the Eden Ridge crowd are amazing.
Athena was always a fighter with offence being her defence. Having hooked up with Logan at a wedding last year, he is an unexpected journey into her own self worth she wasnt counting on when her fantastic Michelin star life as a big shot chef was interrupted by a jackass boyfriend and so called best friend!
This book features all of the Reynolds sisters, their spouses, friends and community. It is more steamy than any of the other books I read but that goes inline with Athens and Logan’s passion for their life, loves and livelihood. Although part of a series, it is a standalone with no cliffhanger but be prepared to not want to put this book down and you will definitely want to stay a while longer in Edens Ridge.
Very excited for Maggies story!
ARC for honest review with no compensation, received from BookSprout 4.5 stars
Stay a Little Longer is book 3 in the Misfit Inn series by Karl Nolan and a great addition to this series!
This story is about Athena Reynolds a world renowned chef, who after catching her boyfriend in a very compromising position in their Michelin Star restaurant in Chicago, she has a meltdown that ends up on you tube..so not good…so she heads back home to Tennessee to figure out what is next for her life…helping her “sisters” in the Misfit Inn and reconnecting with Logan Maxwell her one night stand or leaving again to start over somewhere else…
Logan Maxwell, owner of the up and growing organic farm has feelings for Athena since their one night of passion but knowing she belongs in Chicago at her restaurant he hasn’t pursued her…that is until he runs into her suddenly at the Misfit Inn and wonders why has she returned home?
What happens next is swoon worthy, has secrets, lots of sparks, laughter, tears and rooting for this couple to find their way to a HEA!!
This was a lovely story. It wonderfully written and full of passion and romance. I loved it. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This one surprised me. I have to admit I was not excited about prickly Athena’s story. Of all the Reynolds sisters she was the least likable. Snooty and Stubbornly unforgiving even with absolute proof she was in the wrong, I just wanted her to stay in Chicago with her fancy restaurant and leave her sisters alone. Her transition is amazing and nicely crafted. She becomes downright endearing as she takes on the challenges of embarrassment, confidence, adapting and love. I enjoyed the awesome creativity and support of her love interest, sisters and niece. And the entire story is so believable and wonderfully written that you’ll definitely feel you’re part of the story too. An excellent read!!

I feel like I missed something before this book, but it could just be me…once I figured out what was going on I was stuck! Love the Inn and love how this book ties the past with the present for a happy ending!
Stay a Little Longer is the third book in the Misfit Inn series. Athena has watched her relationship, her career, and her dreams crash into flames. Heading home to lick her wounds, she runs into Logan, a man she surprisingly feels like she can trust, and she reluctantly allows his comfort, support, strength, and passion into her life. But when she’s offered a chance to redeem herself, will she pick her career or a chance at love and home?
Oh my, this book was amazing and I absolutely loved Athena and Logan! Athena has this hard and almost mean exterior that shielded her heart from everything, including getting too close to family, friends, and her sisters. I absolutely loved that Logan was able to see through that shield, to let Athena be the woman that she needed to be, the vent her emotions safely, and he was patient enough to let her come to him. I loved their relationship, too, because as they got closer, Athena was a little scared while Logan just wanted more, and there was so much going on within Athena with her past hurts and betrayals, Logan just had to hang on sometimes. I loved watching the sisters band together to help fight and plan and even though everyone was from a crazy past, they’ve always been there for each other! This book was filled with a lot of emotions, a lot of growing respect and love, and enough unknown of their future that you just had to keep reading to find out more! This is an amazing series and I absolutely loved this addition!
Kait Nolan books are great to curl up to and to just enjoy reading. Stay a Little Longer is a Misfit Inn story of Athena Reynolds a chef and part owner of the Misfit Inn. When she was home the year before from Chicago for her sisters wedding she has a fling with Logan Maxwell, an organic farmer. Now she is home from Chicago hiding from an embarrassing video that went viral and to reacess her career and life. The attraction Logan feels for Athena is still present but he knows she distrust and runs scared. Kait Nolan has the ability to write a beautiful story that you become emotionally involved with the the characters. I highly recommend reading Stay a Little Longer.

Kait Nolan, you did it again! This was such a satisfying story to read. I won’t share any spoilers, but I really liked the character growth through the story.

This Misfit Inn story is about renowned chef Athena’s fall from grace and her struggle to find her new place in the world. One of my favorite scenes, and trust me there are many, is Athena’s dramatic and exhilarating response to her cheating boyfriend’s pitiful attemp at justification. You HAVE to read it for yourself!!! Chef Athena is a very prickly, short tempered woman (think Chef Gordon Ramsay) who through farmer and former psych major, Logan, we see is truly a tender woman who has built a defensive fortress around her heart to protect the little girl that she was when she was removed from her father and placed with Joan, her adopted mother. As Logan continues to break down the walls Athena has erected, the instant chemistry between the two grows into a sizzling love affair, but will Athena stay in the small town to see what could come of it or will she run back to big city life for a career she thrives at, but secretly hates. I loved “Stay A Little Longer”! Athena May cook for stress relief, but for me it will be grab and reread (several times over) any Kait Nolan book, beginning with “Stay A Little Longer”.

I’ve enjoyed the other stories in the Misfit Inn series, but each story totally stands on its own. Though I think once you read one you will want to read the others. Kait Nolan’s gift is writing stories that build a world of characters that make you want to be a part of it! Athena’s world implodes – both her work life and personal life. To get some perspective and figure out what comes next, she heads home to her sisters at the Misfit Inn. Logan seems to be as steady as they come. The two had chemistry when they first met at her sister’s wedding and it hasn’t disappeared. I loved how they fit together. I love how they find ways together to build the future they want. I received an advance copy in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed reading Logan and Athena’s story. You’ll start to understand the reasoning behind Athena’s attitude and coldness. I really didn’t care for her much in the previous books but by the end of this book I learned to really like her. This book made me laugh and cry. Can’t wait for the next one!

We return to the Misfit in with Athena, one of the sisters that were raised in foster care by the now deceased mom Joan. Athena could not wait to leave the small town and become someone. Athena is a Michelin starred chef. She is returning after her boyfriends betrayal at their work place. She shares this with only Logan who she had a fling at her sisters wedding years before. Athena’s pride won’t let her confide in her sisters. Logan is an organic farmer with a degree is psychology. He can see the real Athena and helps her sort out where she wants to be and what she wants from life. Logan hasn’t been able to forget Athena since their time together and is thrilled she came home even if she isn’t.
Kait creates characters that are more than one dimensional. (though Logan acts a little too good to be true sometimes). She takes us along as the character develops and grows and show that even fictional characters make mistakes. I’ve enjoyed all of the stories in the Misfit Inn so far. Can’t wait for the next one.

It feels a little like forever since we last visited the Misfit Inn, and I am so glad to come back. This pair was crazy-making to me. Logan and Athena have been dancing around their feelings for each other for as long as I can remember knowing them. I found myself yo-yoing back and forth between clapping my hands with glee that they were finally working it out and wanting to smack their heads together to knock some sense into them. I love how a Kait Nolan title always gives me what I want most from a book: a powerful emotional connection (including some heat and spice), a story that’s about more than just getting our lead couple together, and lots of moments that make me laugh (and do it with as much enthusiasm as I cry during the deeply emotional scenes). I’ve only just barely closed the book and already I can’t wait until we get to visit the Misfit Inn again.

I normally find Kait Nolan’s books light and refreshing. This one, not so much. I honestly was not a fan of Athena until around the last few chapters. She comes across as really harsh and somewhat of a diva.
I did enjoy how Athena matured over the book and by the end she is a much more likable character. The sisters and Logan are such likable characters that they make it worth the read.

As I consider writing this review, I realize that although I adored this book, it wasn’t perfect. How can I justify giving it five stars then?
Because it made me laugh. It brought tears to my eyes. I loved Athena and I wanted to shake her, but most of all I BECAME her for a few hours, and the happily-ever-after satisfied me.
Logan is too perfect. We don’t learn his dark secrets or find out what really motivates him. Normally, I take something off for that. But…he is exactly who Athena needed. He championed her. He saw beyond her veneer. He is SO MUCH like my husband that I wonder, can PERFECT truly be all bad?
My love for this story surprises me because I detest the “catches him with another woman” trope. Despise it. Almost as much as I can’t stand love triangles. It’s overdone. Can’t anything else be the catalyst?
But Athena’s ache came from losing her mother. Just like it did for the other two sisters in this series. And I can hardly wait to find out how the fourth sister gets her happy ending.
Grab this book. Your romantic heart won’t regret it.
I really enjoyed this book. It has a great story line and wonderful characters, I love the emotional growth Athena goes through, it makes her seem real and relatable.
Logan Maxwell is a small town framer who’s life gets a whole lot more interesting when an old flame returns home. Athena Reynolds is a professional Chefs who quits her job and goes back home after she realizes her life isn’t what it seems.
Beautifully written, easy read, with a Happy Ending. That makes you believe everything happens for a reason.
