STAY A LITTLE LONGER is southern small-town romance at its best. Athena’s journey is one that will stick with you long after the last page is turned. Don’t miss your chance to fall in love with the colorful cast of characters of the Misfit Inn in Eden’s Ridge, Tennessee. ~USA Today Best-Selling Author Erin Wright Athena Reynolds is a goddess in the kitchen, and she’s got a Michelin star to back … goddess in the kitchen, and she’s got a Michelin star to back it up. Darling of the Chicago restaurant scene, she’s flying high—until a betrayal leads to her sudden fall from grace. Furious and reeling, she escapes home to small-town Tennessee to hide from the scandal and nurse her wounds among family.
Logan Maxwell’s life is a world away from the Windy City. His his are hands full keeping his organic farm thriving and in the black, but that hasn’t stopped him from reliving last summer’s passionate wedding fling with the notoriously prickly, award-winning chef. But it’s the glimpse of her vulnerability when she returns that has him craving more.
Small towns are like small kitchens, everyone’s constantly bumping into each other and sooner or later something’s bound to boil over. Maybe that’s why Logan finds it so hard to resist Athena. Well, that and the fact that he’s never been able to walk away from a woman in distress. An unexpected confidant, Logan reminds Athena of her roots, and in turn, she begins to question everything she’s worked for. But can love win out over the temptation of redemption, when her old life comes calling?

Another wonderful read by Kait Nolan.
Audible.
Another from perfect-for-me team of Kait Nolan & Amy McFadden. This is my 4th Misfit Inn book and again, it’s 5 stars.
Nolan‘s amazing balance of relationship development, romance, a little bit of drama without dragging it out, and couples I can’t help but root for. Even prickly Athena quickly became lovable and misunderstood. Logan is a wonderful calm in her stormy life. Watching all the Kennedy girls find their way back home in Tennessee is the hallmark of this feel good series.
McFadden does a great job of continuing to give each Reynolds sister their own unique voice that remains consistent between the books.
I have been provided with a review copy of Stay A Little Longer by the author via Booksprout for an impartial review. This is the third book in the Misfit Inn series and we get to see Athena Reynolds find her happily ever after. Ahhhhh I just loved this book so much I laughed I cried I screamed this book just had absolutely everything. I’m just emotionally drained in the best possible way from everything that took place in this wonderful story. I just loved getting to go on the ride with Athena Reynolds and Logan Maxwell’s and have them come together in such a beautiful way. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
No one does drama & family like Kait! And this family of ‘Misfits’ is the best! Betrayal. Hope. Love. Honor. Trust. What more could you ask for in your reads. Loved it!!!

Kait Nolan is one of my favorite authors. Her books always hold you captive from the very beginning. Stay a Little Longer is no different. Athena is a fire cracker who you fall in love with immediately and Logan is the perfect match for her. Kait does such a great job with character development that you feel as though you really get to know all of the characters, not just the main pair.
This is a small town romance story that is a joy to read. Athena and Logan are both strong, likable characters and they have plenty of spark. I enjoyed getting to know all the intriguing characters of the small town. The plot is well written, with romance, drama, humor, and plenty of mishaps to keep your interest.
Athena has had enough curveball s in her life already and some more are coming her way. Logan tries to help her thru those but ends up throwing her one of his own. Is her ego too big to realize he just wants to help her for both their sales. She wants redemption on her terms, not on someone else’s. Is their chemistry enough or will the ego get in the way

This book is funny, steamy, romantic, and the characters are strong both male and female. The food aspect added to pull me into the story and made me feel like I was in the kitchen with all of the characters. Thank you so much.

I’ve enjoyed reading The Misfit In series so much. Athena has always been the loner of the group. Sure she & her sisters are banded together against the world, but she pretty much deals with things on her own. Went things blow up at her restaurant Athena heads back home to get herself together and figure out her next move. She just doesn’t count on Logan, her wedding fling, featuring into everything quite like he does. She decides to make the most of having him around. Athena just doesn’t know that Logan is planning on a more permanent situation. She feels comfortable enough to share her feelings with him. He becomes her safe zone in the center of her personal storm. Everything seems to be going so well for them until Athena makes a choice that scares Logan. He then says things he probably shouldn’t and never gave her a chance to speak first. In the end the ending is even better than it would’ve been because everyone bans together once again. Athena wins. Logan wins. The story comes to a brilliant conclusion.
This book was one I had very patiently waited for. And boy was I glad I did! There were a couple sizzling bedroom scenes. But for the most part it was just darn good storytelling! Kait Nolan is in her zone with the small town romances and it shows in each book she writes. She’s got the tight community down. Her characters are always so real it’s almost like I know them personally. You can’t help but cheer them on through everything. The only thing that got me a little down was when I realized there’s just one sister left…
I received an ARC of this book. I have chosen to leave my review in support of the book and author. All views expressed are my own.
I loved this book.
What started out as two opposites ended up attracting one another.
I liked the eway they worked together to help each other.
This author never dissapoints me, her books are always amazing.
I really enjoyed this story. Love how Athena is strong and stubborn, but also willing to listen and be reasonable. Logan lets her be her own person and helps her grow at her own pace, but doesn’t coddle her. Real romance with adults and real life issues. And, the “Misfits” are so strongly bonded together. Family is family no matter how they came together. There is such a mutual love and respect and fierce protection for everyone involved. Strong women and men who stand by them. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Stay a Little Longer is the delightful third book in the Wonderful Misfit Inn series but it is also a great stand-alone. This is Athena and Logan’s story but it is so much more than that. At the heart of this book, and all the Misfit Inn books, is family, home, love, trust, respect and pulling together when times get tough. Stay a Little Longer is beautifully written with genuine characters that you will adore. It is lovely to catch up with Athena’s sisters and niece Ari but more importantly it is nice to discover more about Athena herself, her past and her future.. and hunky farmer Logan. I loved this book and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Athena and Logan are such a great couple. We get a look into why Athena is the way she is – kind of prickly IMO – I should say was because now she is adorable but still Athena. Logan is such a great guy and I loved how he loved Athena in the way she needed to be loved. The author made me feel the emotions that the characters were going through. A definite page turner and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I loved Logan and Athena! Athena was an amazing heroine – she had baggage chasing her but worked hard to overcome it. I adored Logan and how Athena learned to lean on him. He was steadfast and knew that if he had enough patience he would be able to get through to her. One of my favorite scenes was when Athena was in the inn’s kitchen and she is on the verge of losing it and from Logan’s perspective he is wondering if anyone else could see she was panicking, not mad. He walks to her and offers her comfort and support – and all the family is standing by watching completely blown away. One of them calls him the ‘Athena whisperer.’ I loved how he could read her better than anyone else and that she felt comfortable enough to let him in. These two were a great couple and certainly had their issues to work through (monumental tempers for one), but they did so with some help from friends and family. This was a great addition to the misfit inn gang!
Yay! Another Kait Nolan binge-worthy series! I have been a fan of her Wishful books for a while but this is the first of the Misfits series that I’ve read and I am hooked! Now to go back and get caught up with the earlier sisters’ stories! Can’t wait. This book had everything I was looking for: humour, charm, sassiness, romance, family, deep emotion, independently spirited and stubborn heroine, thoughtful and patiently devoted hero, and a HEA! Loved it!

Kait Nolan has become one of my favorite authors. Her strong characters, small town and intense storylines make me feel like I’m right there in the middle of everything. Athena and Logan’s story is no different. I look forward to more from the Misfit Inn series’.

I have always enjoyed books by Kait Nolan, but the Misfit Inn is quickly becoming my new favorite. I sometimes swear that she literally put my sisters, my best friend and I all in that house. I was not really sure how Athena’s character was ever going to fall in love. She was just such a hard ass in the first three books. I love the way Kait Nolan brings her past to light it really helps you to understand why she was the way she was. The way Logan is just so patient and loving. He never pushes her just always her the safe place to fall apart that she needs. I laughed when he compared her to a crust marshmallow. The characters and story line is always good never rushed to to slow. Kait Nolan truly has a way on making you fall in love with each character and series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book.
Stay A Little Longer joyfully returns us to the ever eventful Misfit Inn where Jo’s foster kids who are now adopted siblings continue to forge ahead in life. Each sibling has a challenging past which influences their current path in life. In this story we learn more about Athena who has tried to escape her small-town past and has become incredibly successful as a Michelin Star chef but finds herself returning home to the safety and security of family after a disturbing upset of betrayal. Things seem to go from bad to worse when Athena encounters “farmer boy” Logan who now owns her family farm but Logan reaches Athena in ways few ever have. This story explores the joys of cooking, farm-to-table and organic farming, and the beauty of family. I so love each of these stories in the Misfit Inn series and while they are each standalones they are so worth every bit to bond with this beautiful clan! Such a pleasure splurge!

No highschool science classes here but there is some definite sizzle and really fresh, ahem, food. Farmer Logan and food goddess Athena are passionate about their chosen fields but it takes them a few trials to acknowledge their true passion. I love Kait’s Misfit Inn series because the misfits always come home. This book made its way home, too. Into my heart!
