The more time he spends with Wes and the little girl who constantly keeps them on their toes, the more Braden realizes this isn’t just about getting the guy who walked away.
As their lives intertwine more and more, Wes discovers Braden isn’t as shallow as he thought. But after everything Wes lost in his life, he isn’t sure he can risk his heart, and truly want Braden to stay—and if he did, would Wes’s quiet life be enough for Braden?

OMG! I have totally fallen in love with Wes and Braden. The pain Wes was dealing with and keeping Braden at arms length hit me in the gut. But man, oh man, Braden was just so wonderful you could not stay away from a man like that. He was sweet and excellent with Wes’s niece. They were so adorable together and loved their banter and how they played together. Overall, I have never been disappointed by one book I’ve read by this author.
Wes and Braden were first introduced in the first book in this series. In this book, Wes has now lost his sister and is the guardian of his young niece. He connected with Wes first in a one-night stand, but Braden continues to pursue him despite Wes’s grief and new responsibilities. Braden feels that he’s just trying to be a friend and help Wes in his time of need. As time progresses and the two men spend more time with each other, it begins to feel like something more. Can they bridge their issues to commit to each other?
This book is well-paced, has interesting characters, tons of passion, and real-life emotional issues. It will pull at your heart-strings, connect to the friendship community from the first book, and entertain well. A very satisfying read.

I loved this book!
I’m on a roll with the Blackcreek series by Riley Hart. Stay is book two and I listened to it straight through just like I did with book one, Collide. I’m loving this series so much!
We met the two MCs in book one but I think you can probably read this as a standalone if you want. Just know that you will be missing a great story if you don’t read Collide first.
I absolutely loved Wes and Braden’s story and Wes’s niece is adorable. Luke Itzvic did another great job with this audiobook. This story just about broke me but Riley Hart did an excellent job of putting me back together again.
I will definitely listen to the remaining books in this series!
Although I loved Collide, I loved, loved Stay. in Collide we meet Braden and Wes, side story to Noah and Cooper. Braden is Cooper’s fire fighting buddy from work… He has never hidden his pansexual lifestyle, due to lack of gay men in Blackcreek, he has only been seen with women. Wes was Noah’s friend who was steered away by Braden so that Cooper could get his shot at happiness. Wes in in town to take care of his dying sister Chelle and her precocious daughter, Jessie. He shared a one night stand with Braden, but wants to focus only on raising his niece…Braden is intrigued by Wes, more so because Wes is not smitten with him. He’s not used to being “handled’, waking to an empty bed. Even though Braden comes off as an in your face egotist, below that there is substance. He feels like an ass when he discovers Wes’s story. Braden proves to be a real friend and support in Wes’s time of need. Braden is not one to give up though and stays in Wes’s face till he wins him over. Their story is fun and loving and made even better by having Noah and Cooper in it … Jessie is the icing on the cake.
This was my favorite book out of the Blackcreek Series. Braden was a fun, sassy man who knows what he wants and goes after it. Wes is a man who’s shouldering unexpected responsibilities. Together, they are the family that they never knew they needed.
I really liked the characters and watching them create their own little family. This was a nice getting-together-story with instant-family trope thrown in. It was sweet and heartwarming.
