When you’re born without a trace, no one knows you’re a weapon.I lie for her.I hunt for her.I kill for her.And above all, I betray my mission for her.She doesn’t know why. She doesn’t care why.I do.Treason comes in many forms.Love is one of them. Our training taught me to be a sociopath. A machine. A pawn. Nothing more than a tool for a larger goal, without attachments or feelings. Our teachers … a tool for a larger goal, without attachments or feelings.
Our teachers forgot one important detail:
Pawns shouldn’t have hearts.
Yet we do.
It turns out our emotions are our greatest weapon.
And I know exactly where mine are aimed.

Action packed and full of steam!
Meli Raine has a new book! Strap in for a wild ride – you won’t regret it!
This book was amazing, i happened to read it all within one sitting aha. It was such a page turner, and i definitely recommend this. The main characters, i absolutely loved, and the writer did a great job in making me hate Glen (Kina’s twin sister), she infuriated me. Callum’s character i fell in love with right at the start, and the same with Kina’s character although she did annoy me at times where she acted too reliant on her sister. Overall, it was a great read, and i will be reading the second book~

The first in an all-new series by USA Today best-selling author Meli Raine.
Meli Raine has had me on the edge of my seat since book one and this is new installment is no exception. We now get the backstory of the “stateless” operatives. It makes you really wonder if it is possible to actually pull something like this off. I can’t wait for the next book.
I know better than to start a Meli Raine Trilogy without having the whole thing available and ready to devour. I know better, and yet, I couldn’t stop myself and now the waiting will be torture.
This is in the same universe as her False series (possibly others, but that’s where I found her) and OMG. There are some serious Hunger Games type vibes when it comes to the Compound and the Stateless. Kina, ‘The Mule’ is seen as the weak link in her class, Callum is the top performing Alpha and an unlikely friend and Glen is Kina’s twin, but her opposite in every way.
Stateless shows us mostly what these characters deal with in their last year on the compound in ‘school’ but then goes forward nearly a decade. We get to see the other side of Romeo’s story and man – things are about to get crazy! Can’t wait for the next one!
I loved this book. It had me enthralled from the first chapter. But boy did it make me mad. But my anger was at the villians so it was just. This is a story about a society that was founded on lies and manipulation. And it’s the story about a girl turned woman who is the ultimate rebel they fear. Kina is a badass. She is stuck in a world where those she thinks she can trust, like her twin Glenn, seem to do her more harm. And they all label her as stupid. But she is far from it. Callum can read that right away. He feels this need to protect her. But he quickly learns how capable she is. This book is just the beginning. This book will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s all about survival. Good vs evil. As always, Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were dynamite as these characters. I couldn’t imagine another voice for Kina and Callum. A perfect fit. This is a must read/listen to story for fans of suspense. And you’ll be on the edge of your seat demanding justice prevail.
Just excellent!!
Stateless by Meli Raine is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt. This is the first book in the Stateless Series.
This is the first book of Meli’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. She pulled me in from the very first chapter and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I love the relationship between Kina and Callum. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since it’s the first book in the series. I can’t wait to dive into the next book Traceless to get more of Kina and Callum’s story.
Joe and Andi did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense, military romance, or psychological thrillers.

Interesting concept, but slow moving.
Interesting , ending leaves way for more books
Audio Review
Who is good and who is evil
This is the beginning of a deep thinking series that keeps you guessing. This is book one and has us see the inter dynamics of the group and how they are trained to loose all feelings. Enough so Keena and Glenn who are identical twins cannot not even trust each other. Callum knows more than he should and he is on a mission to learn the truth.
Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are great as Callum and Keena. This is a story that will keep you guessing and make you think and I loved it.
On to book two to find out more.

I received a code from Audiobook Obsession to listen and review with my honest opinion. I really enjoyed it and recommend it. It is a cliffhanger series so book one ended and you will need to continue with books two and three.
A dark twisted psycho thriller. The danger, suspense, deceit, action, and forbidden romance will keep you glued to the pages.
Kira and Callum are being raised and trained to take on the government. Kira is left behind to care for the new trainees even though she is a true warrior. The one thing that was not measured was the relationship between Kira and Callum. This bond between them is strong and it will only get stronger. But this story left me wanting to know more. I could not stop listening and I was happy to have the next book lined up.
Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are perfect for the narration. They always deliver an amazing performance. I always know the narration will be superb with this team. Knowing that they continue in the series has me wanting to listen even more. Joe and Andi bring this story to life. A better narrating team could not have been picked.
This book is well written but also made me sick to my stomach!
Ok, gotta be honest… I have never read a book quite like this one. While the beginning of the book, I felt like there was a back story I was missing, it wasn’t enough that I ever felt a desire to set the book aside. On the contrary, I was severely sucked in and had a very hard time putting it down to work, or do household chores.
This may have felt a bit overwhelming at the start, but this definitely held me captive. I am so glad this series is complete, or I would have been very irritated with how Stateless left Kina and Callum. I am off to eagerly dive into book 2, Traceless.
Good book but very disappointing that there was no ending. This book is not an entire story but is only a build up of characters and story line that prepares the reader for the next book. Not to my liking.
Did not like this book.
I was tempted to stop reading this book when I first started it, as it seemed too science-fiction-y for me. However, when I finished it, I ordered the other two in the series. The theme seems to be contemporary, with what is going on in our country/the world. Even the ending to the third book is unsettling.
Slow start but worth keeping reading. Not a “nice” story but interesting to think it could happen – I hope not.
