A cowboy turned stuntman is no match for the rancher’s feisty daughter! Luke Tyler will do anything to earn money to buy back his ranch, and takes a job as a stuntman that lands him with the lead role in a low-budget western movie. Shooting on location at Bright Star Ranch, Luke meets the rancher’s feisty daughter who is more like one of the guys. Will his charms work on the girl when Luke’s … Luke’s cheap producer makes him seduce her as part of a business deal? Star Brighton is far from being a lady, but her tenacity and ability to herd cattle and run a ranch can match the skills of any of Luke’s stunts.
Star Brighton is no one’s fool, and knows that the movie crew filming on their land is not the answer to their problems, even if her mother thinks so. About to lose their ranch to back taxes, she’s been forced to accept the womanizer, Luke Tyler into her home. All she wants to do is punch him, but one smile from the handsome cowboy makes her heart beat faster. One kiss from him makes her feel as sexy as his Hollywood bombshell of a co-star. But are his advances toward her sincere or only part of a role he plays? Will the passion that grows between them become stronger, or will stunts that should stay out of the bedroom ruin a union between them?
Two determined people will do anything to get what they want. But will they be willing to sacrifice their feelings for each other to get it?

Both are out to seduce each other to get what they want. Who will succeed. Only time will tell
What happens when you mix a rancher turned cowboy movie star and a feisty female ranch hand whose mother is struggling to keep her ranch from being foreclosed on? You get Starstruck Cowboy! Luke is a sexy actor who can’t stand his female costar, and Star is far from being impressed with him. Luke does all his own stunts and has a favorite stunt woman who does all the female lead’s stunts. When she gets injured during a stunt, Star is brought in as a temporary replacement. Sparks start to fly and things really heat up! There are moments of hilarity between Luke and Star, as well as a lot of misunderstandings. This is different from the usual historical romance books by Elizabeth Rose, and I like it!
This is an easy read. Star and Luke had their problems which led to too many secrets. I enjoyed it when they began to realize what meant the most to them. There were shades of the Gift of the Magi in this story, and it touched me.
I received an ARC as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Elizabeth Rose does it again. Starstruck Cowboy is the first book in her new series Working Man. I have never been into the western type of books until I read Starstruck Cowboy which gave me the nice visual of a handsome and well built cowboy with no shirt and a tight pair of jeans… oh how sexy!! I am alway amazed of the creative way Elizabeth come up with a story as they are so original and wonderful. This story has a movie, a diva, an inherited farm, an evil step brother, lots of misunderstandings, wonderful character animals, an accident, poverty, one tough heroine, a couple of black eyes and love. I highly recommend you read this book!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book. I really enjoyed reading this contemporary cowboy romance. Luke and Star’s story is filled with funny misunderstandings that will keep the reader entertained to the very end
I thoroughly enjoyed this contemporary cowboy story. But that doesn’t surprise me. Ms. Rose never fails to bring me reading pleasure with her stories. But lordy, our two lovebirds are a hot mess!! Luke has one goal in mind-getting his ranch back and Star doesn’t trust men after the last one left her at the alter. Which of course leads these two on an escapade of confusion, miscommunication, and outside interference. You’ll laugh, you’ll feel bad, and often want to tell them to open their eyes. See what’s right in front of you. Oh, and I love the cameo from the character who got me started reading Ms. Rose’s books, James Taylor!!
I recieved this book for a honest review. I did enjoy this book on Luke and Star. It was easy to read and kept my attention. I there were some plot twists and turns and kept me entertained
Good story, good romance, and a small behind the scenes look at filming on a ranch. Enjoyed this book I was gifted.
Luke Tyler is working as a stuntman and leading man in B-movie westerns. He needs the money to buy his stepbrother’s half of the Circle T ranch. The movie is filming on the Bright Star Ranch, home to Star Brighton and her mother. They, too, need money to save their ranch. Star works hard and can match the ranching skills of the men, but that won’t save the ranch. The money from allowing the movie to film on the ranch might.
To say Luke and Star got off to a bad start is an understatement. Each is suspicious and distrustful of the other. In spite of those feelings, they begin to like each other. Can anything come of this?
A handsome, charming hero and a feisty heroine, a peculiar cast of secondary characters, humor, and a little lovin’ make this an entertaining story that I recommend. Oh, and you won’t believe what becomes of the ranches.
Two people come together in a delightful romance, both needing the same thing. Money. Luke needs funds to buy his stepbrothers half of the ranch. He finds his chance when he gets a job as a stuntman in a western movie. Filming on a ranch, he meets Star, the owner’s daughter who can match any of the men in her abilities on the farm.
Star’s focus is to earn enough money to save their ranch due to past due taxes and is not easily taken in by Luke’s charm. What’s he after anyway?
Filled with humor, a fiesty heroine, cross purposes and romance, you will be entertained until the end!!
Starstruck Cowboy is a contemporary western romance by Elizabeth Rose. Ms. Rose has provided readers with an entertaining story. Luke is a rancher turned stuntman turned actor, trying to make enough money to buy his half of the ranch from his step-brother. Star is trying to raise enough money to keep her family ranch from foreclosure. Star and Luke’s story is full of misunderstandings, drama, humor, action and spice. The fact they are both trying to save their ranches gets a little repetitive, but overall, it’s a good read. Starstruck Cowboy is part of the Men Working Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from a third party. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
