SPACE IS VAST AND UNTAMED, AND IT HOLDS MANY SECRETS.Now two individuals from opposite ends of settled space are on a collision course with the darkest of those secrets, even as the world threatens to explode around them. The year is 2322. Humanity has expanded into the stars, inhabiting over 100 worlds across a third of the galaxy. Though thriving as never before, they have discovered neither … have discovered neither alien life nor the key to utopia. Earth struggles to retain authority over far-flung planets and free-wheeling corporations while an uneasy armistice with a breakaway federation hangs by a thread as the former rebels rise in wealth and power.
Alexis Solovy is Earth Alliance royalty, her father a fallen war hero and her mother an influential military leader. But she seeks only the freedom of space and has made a fortune by reading the patterns in the chaos to discover the hidden wonders of the stars.
Nothing about her latest objective suggests the secret it conceals will turn her life— not to mention the entire galaxy—upside down. But a chance encounter with a mysterious spy leads to a discovery which will thrust Alex into the middle of a galactic power struggle and a sinister conspiracy, whether she likes it or not.

Bogged down with too many details that add absolutely nothing to the world building or plot.
Without giving any spoilers, there was a nice geeky feel to it, and some action but the story line was a bit sappy and predictable, with a privileged, self absorbed, protagonist. The writing was fine, the story unfolded in a satisfactory way, with some romantic tension but none of it concluded. The story is of course, to be continued. While this is not the first author or only author to do so, I find it annoying, dishonest to the reader. I like a completed story, not a promotion for the next book to be sold. Sell me on the character(s), and the story. Then make a new story next time if the character is still in the running, and sell me on the author. Can you imagine Steven King sticking to one character and story line time after time? Jim Butcher achieved a serialized character but completed the story event for each book, even if some of the same characters and backstory were used. Either of these methods are more acceptable. Thank you though, for your imaginative ride and world building.
The perfect techno thriller. Loved the characters. Can,traitor more..
This book could have and SHOULD have been written in half of the pages, especially since all that is done is table-setting for the rest of the series. I won’t be bothered with picking up any more of this author’s offerings.
Good read. Now I have to read the next 2 in the series. Which is a good thing.
Very Sci-Fi – lots of good scientific terminology!
Everything you want in a Si-fi thriller.
After forcing myself thru 100 pages, I gave up.
Would like to read the whole series ! Very captivating from the start !
I want more……..
It took me quite a while to get into the plot
Excellent
A space regency romance with a stunningly beautiful(and brilliant) female and a absurdly handsome and also brilliant male. After the obligatory sex-in great detail-they have the predictable falling out and getting back together. Somewhere there is an interesting story about space aliens and a mystery surrounding who they are and where they come from, but by then I was simply skimming the book trying to follow the story rather than sex in outerspace.
Fast-paced entertaining read. I enjoyed the character interaction.
Difficult to get into all the space lingo at first. But improves with more story.
Didn’t feel the need to finish the series
Excellent read
Exciting Sci-Fi great characters and story. Keeps the reader in suspense and touches their emotions. Aurora Rising is fascinating, descriptive and futuristic. Enjoy the ride across the Universe,
Great science fiction space opera first book
