A bungled rescue attempt finds Darius also imprisoned and it falls on Gib to save the day. Not only the day, but also his… mate? The stealthy assassin is far from thrilled to find his true mate is someone as loud and well-known as HRH Prince Partypants.
This is the second book in the Assassin’s Claws series. Note: While mpreg exists in this world, we won’t have a birth in every book. This book contains killer cats, ninja bunnies and a spoiled prince who’ll need to alpha up if he wants to keep his man. Get ready for naughty-knotty fun and low-ball humor as only Susi Hawke can provide.

Portuguese puma shifter assassin brothers? Now, that’s just totally badass! In Susi Hawke’s ‘Stand Out, Assassin’s Claws Book 2’, Gifflet “Gib” Moreno is approached by the handler to looking into the doings of a black market stinky cheese importer who is suspected of being involved with kidnapping. Gib is an omega that is every bit as lethal as his alpha brothers yet more introverted and reticent than many omegas. Gib is more comfortable with a warm drink and a book in the evening than a cocktail at a dance club. Reasons why he is thoroughly disgusted to discover his fated mate is tiger shifter Darius Aurea, the heir of the island nation of Aurelia known as Prince Partypants! But his royal highness possesses hidden depths as demonstrated when he discovers that he has a son and that the child had been abducted! His failed attempt at rescue brings him face-to-face with Gib and the others of the Moreno clan where they are happy and enthusiastically join that growing family. I love that the writer shows us a conclusion to the conflict in the story yet gives us time to see how the characters settle in with the Moreno family. The readers are able to check in with the couple from the previous story, too. Readers are also encouraged to stay invested in the series as the overall threat that spans all the books is resolved in definitive stages. The writer’s world-building is wonderful as ever and the character development is absolutely amazing. The series has characters that are simply adorable, especially the ninja rabbit shifters with the incredible, badass, and beautiful omega leader!
A hilarious series and yet another great instalment.
We meet the Moreno brothers again, a notorious band of Assassins. Gifflet, Gib Moreno, the quietest of the brothers, would rather stay at home than party hard.
A job comes up for a black market importer. Follow him, find out about a plot to reveal the secret of shifters. Then dispose of the importer. A nice easy job.
But then they meet HRH Darius Aurea, party prince extraordinaire. Mate, hell no, not in the middle of a job and not with an overprivileged party prince. Scent blockers are essential in this business, and it made Gif avoid his highness. Ohh, and we get to meet the Ninja Bunnies again. I just love those bunnies, especially with an English accent. Hilarious.
This book is another brilliant instalment within the series. Actually, I haven’t personally read a bad book by Susi, such an incredible writer. I would recommend it to everyone who likes Shifter books.
Excellent narration by Kenneth Obi.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked Gifflet “Gib” and Darius together, even though Gib wasn’t very happy with his choice of true mate to start with as Darius was known as Prince Partypants but I’m glad that they actually got to know each other properly before deciding if they’d mate or not. As all Gib knew of Darius was what was portrayed in the press and him throwing a party and being completely drunk and tried to hit on Gib with really bad pickup lines when they first met didn’t help matters and then when Darius finally made it back to Portugal to Gib and Sasha, his father the king had shown him the rather large dossier that he’d had on Gib occupation but Darius never judged him and let him explain everything to him which was awesome as they both could become mated actually knowing each other. I absolutely loved wee Sasha, he was such a sassy little adult, the stuff that came out of his mouth half the time was a crack up and I loved that he finally got to be an actually kid when he spent time with his uncles. I’m looking forward to reading Dear and Father Clarence’s story next, they’re definitely an intriguing match. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Good assassins? Kind of an oxymoron, huh? Well not for the Moreno family.
I liked the characters in this book, however I have to admit, I think the next one is going to be better yet! I like how this looks like an “opposites attract” thing, but Prince Partypants is a totally different person than what he first portrays. Love that the Alpha and Omega roles are almost fully reversed. Sacha is an amazing little character, I’m hoping to find one of him as an adult at some point.
An assassin and a prince are mates? Fate has a sense of humor!
What an amazing tale! The Moreno brother’s are back. Their assassin skills as sharp as ever. Old rivals are back as well. This book has it all: ninja bunnies, a precocious little boy, shifters, a prince, danger, kidnappings, betrayal, fated mates, unexpected love, and misconceptions on both sides. I loved this book!
This is Gib & Darius’s story. A fourth generation assassin, Gib is confident, stealthy, lethal, and sexy. Everything you’d want in an omega. Darius is known as Prince Partypants. Underneath that persona lies a man deeply committed to righting wrongs. When the son he didn’t know existed is kidnapped, he charges in, right in the middle of Gib’s operation. Let the games begin.
You will laugh with them, fall in love along with them, want to knock some sense into them. They will draw you into their world and never let you out. You will share the joy of a boy who learns the meaning of play, and what family is all about. HEA is assured, but getting there isn’t easy.
Yes there is violence and death. It is not gratuitous, but necessary. Yes this book stands alone, but I recommend reading the first book in the series. It will be time well spent. You are gonna love this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, violence, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
