*Can be read as a standalone* A one-night stand that ended in tears. A destination wedding for my best friend. And an unexpected surprise that knocks me off my feet. Sophie I never wanted to see Nathan again. Ever. One highly educational night with him in bed was all it took to hand over my v-card. Apparently, that was all it took to get him to move across the country without even a backwards …
Apparently, that was all it took to get him to move across the country without even a backwards glance.
Our best friends are getting married and I’ve been asked to play nice, but I can’t promise he’ll make it through the weekend in one piece.
The only problem is that I’m not sure my heart will survive, either.
Nathan
I don’t do feelings.
I don’t do relationships.
And I sure as hell don’t do love. Ever.
One crazy hot night with Sophie was all it took to remind me why.
She gets under my skin and makes me want things I definitely don’t need.
I’m here to be the best man to her maid-of-honor at a destination wedding in paradise, but close proximity to all things Sophie just might push me over the edge.
It’s one long weekend with the woman I can’t stop dreaming about no matter how hard I try.
I can do this, right?

After a one night stand Sophie is left wanting more. But Nathan has left the state! Then their mutual friends get married and their lives intersect at the wedding.
I am yet to find a book in this series that I don’t like. I’m enjoying spacing them out in my reading order. Sometimes after reading a few books with dark content I need a sweet romance to shall we say, cleanse my reading pallet. These books do just that. They warm you up and leave you with a smile on your face.
KU. The relationship jumps to very serious given the incredibly recent stewardess “incident”. While we understand from internal dialogue that it was Nathan trying to get over Sophie or whatever ~ I really wish he would have cleared the air with Sophie about it.
Besides that ~ it’s a completely delightfully book. It was also a treat to spend more time with past “Signature Sweethearts”. Kelsie Rae is immediately in my TBR for some goofy fun, shedding a few tears, and an enjoyable HEA.
Looking forward to Marcus & Natalie.
Another great book from this author. I am loving the Signature Sweethearts series and have read all the books. This is Sophie and Nathan’s story. This is the fifth book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.
Sophie and Nathan had a one night stand that didn’t end up well at all. They both have feelings for one another but Nathan doesn’t do relationships and he failed to tell any of this to Sophie before they hooked up!
Sophie, I loved watching her grow as a woman and as a person. Sophie didn’t expect to ever see Nathan again after that “night” but seeing as Nathan’s best friend is marrying Sophie’s best friend and they are both in the wedding. What’s four days of having to be around the man that ruined you? Surely nothing is going to happen, right ? Nope, everything goes wrong.
Nathan, I disliked him in Rhett for what he did to Sophie and for parts of the story and I wanted to rip him to shreds in other parts but he redeemed himself in the end.
Didn’t know whether I felt bad for Sophie and how she was left, or if I felt worse for Nathan and how he was dealing with everything. But dang it the boy RAN!!!!! I don’t mean he moved and stayed in the city naw man it’s worse. She scared the bejesus outta him after she whipped it on him, boy was scared and scarred and headed for the opposite coast!!! The worst part is . . . well you’ll have to read it yourself for the answer to that. These two had me shaking my head and calling for patience over their antics. Not only do we get to see these two get their act together but we also get to attend the wedding of Rhett and Indie. Now if only everyone can behave and not destroy the wedding it will all be alright. . . enters Marcus. That’s all I’m saying. It’s a great read and while they may both have their issues it’s time to pony up and get it together. Emotional. Funny. Awesome.
Nathan had his reasons for not settling down with one woman . Sophie wanted to be in a relationship , not be a casual hook up. I wasn’t surprised that Sophie could win Nathan’s heart and his love. It is a romance book after all. It was great catching up with breezy and indie in this book.
If you are looking for a one night stand HEA done right, look no further. A sweetly written romance about what happens when you meet your one night, again, at your best wedding no less. And he’s the best man. A sweet, fun, lovely romance that everyone will fall for. The characters are wonderful and make you smile. Add this to your TBR list right now!
Kelsie Rae is quickly becoming the Babe Ruth of the sweet, clean, contemporary romance – she steps up to the plate, knocks it out the park and does it with style every single time.
In Sophie she gives us the expected off the chart chemistry which the series is known for. Nathan, the one-night addict who doesn’t do relationships, meets his match in Sophie, the strong-willed woman who refuses to play by his rules.
Although this may be read as a standalone, readers of the series are in for a ton of treats. Just about every member of the series makes an appearance at the Rhett and Indie’s destination wedding. The location plays a big role in setting the romantic mood of the novel perfectly.
This book has it all – the tug of war between hearts, the fun, sweet support of friends and twists and surprises along the way. And all the feels.
Another 5 star winner for Kelsie Rae – grab it today.
Hot days, hotter nights!
Which is more important? What you want, or what you need? Sophie and Nathan struggle with that question, and their answers may surprise you. I loved this book. It’s the perfect mix of chick lit and contemporary romance. All the elements were there; fun and flirtation, romance and remorse, steamy satisfaction, and love and second chances! Sophie is the sixth in Kelsie Rae’s Signature Sweethearts series. I’ve read them all, loved them all, and I’ve pre-ordered Marcus, the next in the series.
Sophie thought nothing could be worse than Nathan leaving her without a backward glance but she was wrong. Sophie is the bestmaid and he is the best man in her best friend’s wedding. She doesn’t know how she will make it through without her heart shattering all over again. I loved this story it was one of second chances with some twists and turns.
It’s no secret that I love Author Kelsie Rae. I’ve read every book and will continue to read every book because they get better and better.
Sophie and Nathan are perfect for each other but sometimes it takes some planning and some unexpected plans to get the perfect people together.
We met Sophie and Nathan before and we knew they would get their own book. It is amazing. I read it in a day because I just love to devour books especially Kelsie’s.
Sweet and sexy, love and dislike this book has it all. Plus we get to have our friends from previous book back (that’s always a favorite when we get past characters back).
You can’t go wrong with any of The Signature Sweethearts series books. If you haven’t read one before it’s ok, they are standalone but honestly why not start at the beginning?!?
Oh em gee! Can we talk about how freakin’ adorable this book is?! Like… ice cream, rom com, ladies movie night cute! That’s how I felt reading this. And while Kelsie is a new-to-me author, and that this is the fifth book in a series, I didn’t felt left out or confused. I fell in love with all the other characters that have already come, and I CAN’T FREAKIN’ WAIT for those that are coming… *cough… Natalie & Marcus…cough* LOL
From the childish name calling to the steamy beach nights, I felt that Sophie aka Tink was my best friend, but I also couldn’t get enough of the arrogant Nathan.
If you are looking for a cute friends to lovers to enemies to lovers, this is SOOOO for you. I can’t wait to get a moment so I can binge read the rest of the series. <3
Sophie is a super sweet, funny, touching, beautiful story that deserves every heart-melting star possible! It is a story that I know that I will revisit when I need a reminder that love can be sweet and funny and can melt even the coldest heart!
I love Sophie. She reminded me of the sweetness of young love even when it seems to be with a man who doesn’t believe in it. She reminded me of what it was like to be young and hopeful, even though she had that mature mind. And her sense of humor had me chuckling! Her antics made me think of an innocent younger sister that, yes, made me want to give her noogies.
Nathan…*sigh* from the start, I knew he wouldn’t be able to resist Sophie, no matter how hard he tried. She’s irresistible! I understand where he was coming from. And his mistake early on? I just wanted to smack him upside his head because the repercussions from that gave me the ache in my chest. I still think he needs to make up for it even if things were better in the end.
Kelsie Rae, Sophie is now my favorite book of yours. How are you going to top this one?? (And by the way, thank you for giving me the sweet reprieve I’ve been needing.)
Fabulous, fun book! 5s!
What a fabulous, fun book! Sophie had a one night stand with Nathan and after, he moves across the country! Talk about feeling used! Sophie thought they were at minimum friends! But he broke off all communication after their night. Unfortunately, Sophie still missed her friend, and although she managed to move on with her life, she really could never forget or forgive!
Sophie works at Indie’s bakery, and just learned that she is going to be a bridesmaid at her imminent destination wedding! Of course, Indie’s best man is going to be Nathan! Sophie knew the day would come, but now she HAS to play nice with Nathan! Nathan is a man-whore who never sleeps more than once with the same woman. This is due to his parents marriage who run a matchmaking business but who’s marriage is not happy. But Nathan misses his friend Sophie, and when he sees her, old feelings come flooding back. Feelings he’s never had to deal with before! The scene on the plane with Nathan banging the stewardess and Sophie giving him a wonderful speech, was so hilarious! I’m sure many readers were jumping up and down and cheering Sophie!
The push, pull, push relationship between Sophie and Nathan was so fun to watch. The devastating news Sophie needs to deal with (although obvious to us readers), was something that brought the two closer. My only fear is Nathan getting skittish in future, but for now, the two found their HEA!
I can’t wait for the next book! Hopefully Sophie’s brother?
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
Kelsie Rae hits it out of the park with her Signature Sweethearts series and “Sophie” is another sensational installment of sweet, sassy, romance in this series of standalones. Sophie and Nathan make for one sweetheart couple. Their journey together is beautiful and steamy.
Sophie and Nathan had a one night stand that didn’t end up well at all. They both have feelings for one another but Nathan doesn’t do relationships( as the story will go into) and he failed to tell any of this to Sophie before they hooked up!
Sophie didn’t expect to ever see Nathan again after that “night” but seeing as Nathan’s best friend is marrying Sophie’s best friend and they are both in the wedding. What’s 4 days of having to be around the man that ruined you? Surely nothing is going to happen, right ? Nope, everything goes wrong!
Sophie’s feelings never went away but the distance between them hide what she felt until she was back in Nathan’s orbit. Same goes for Nathan-Nathan tried so hard to hide his feelings for Sophie yet he failed so hard at it explosively.
He cant can’t get Sophie out of his head nor can Sophie get Nathan out of her head at all. They try to be friends but you can’t fool love. They even try to deny their attraction but that was just laughable because the sparks lit up around them both to the point fires were blowing up around them. The chemistry was electrifying. Sophie and Nathan make for a great couple – loved the push/pull between them. It was sassy, sexy, sweet and steamy read. Loved the ending of the story- it grabbed my heart.
My Rating: 4.6 stars *****
I’m loving this series. It’s sweet and the characters are pretty likeable, for the most part. Nathan is made out to be a jerk, spending the night with Sophie. Then he not only leaves her, but moves across the country, leaving Sophie a mess. A big event brings them together and it’s nice to have most of the gang back together again, with a lot of love, fun and sun in a tropical location. The two have a lot of chemistry and a lot of heat. These books are fun, carefree and a good read.
Sophie was my first book by Kelsie Rae and she has been officially added to my “must read” list! This was a sweet romance with a sassy heroine that I absolutely fell in love with. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and how the hero, Nathan, had to really work for her trust. There was witty banter, a tiny bit of drama (can you say manwhore?) and the overall build of Nathan and Sophie’s relationship really worked well. The secondary characters truly added even more to the story and I just could not put this book down!
Five Stars!
I have enjoyed this series by Kelsie Rae and this one has to be my favorite of them all. These two characters will have you rooting for them from the first page. You will laugh and swoon.
Sophie and Nathan started as a one night stand. That’s all Nathan ever did. Sophie gave her greatest gift to Nathan and he broke her heart. But now these two are thrown together and the feelings that were on the surface come full on when they get around each other for Indie and Rhett’s wedding.
Nathan is a one and done type of guy, never catching feelings. He doesn’t believe in love or relationships. But one night changed all of that. One night wasn’t enough for him. One woman has changed his entire thinking.
We watch as these two succumb to their feelings. Being together on this trip shows them both what they want and have missed. But the best part is the surprise of their life and once that’s out…..watch out because LOVE takes ahold.
Highly recommended.

This is a story that provides so many feels. You will laugh, tear up, swoon and most of all hope. Yes, this is a story of hope with some frustration thrown in for good measure. It’s also a story about taking chances and courage. Are you willing to take chances or are you stuck in your ways and afraid to follow your inner feelings?
Sophie is the firecracker pixie-like girl who had a one night stand with the well known manwhore who was one of her good friends. Now she has to see him again with knots in her stomach and spend a whole weekend in his company.
Nathan is the one nightstand who never intended to see Sophie again. He doesn’t do relationships but he misses his friend.
During the story we get to become reacquainted with characters from past stories and meet some interesting new characters. Hopefully, we’ll get to meet up with them again in a future read.
It’s a very fast read. I read it in one sitting due to the fact that it’s an easy book and I really wanted to see what happened. It actually made me tear up in certain parts and smile, cause I think at different points in the story we’ve all experienced the feelings that were invested in this story. I don’t do spoilers so it’s a little difficult to write what I so much want to talk about. I suggest you read this book. I really believe you will enjoy it if you’re looking for a lite read and a sweet story.
I’m looking forward to this author’s next book.
I have been reading Kelsie Rae since her debut novel and have been a huge fan since then. I have read every single one of her releases and she never disappoints. Her stories are sweet, charming and heartwarming romances. I love her writing, her characters and how much she just makes us feels
In Sophie, we get Sophie and Nathan’s story. Sophie does not do one-night stands and Nathan does not do anything else. He stays as far away from relationships as he can. And after spending one-night together, he leaves because he could just want more with Sophie. She is hurt and upset but decides to move on. Now they have to spend time together as their friends get married. Neither forgot their one-night, and their chemistry is undeniable, but knowing how Nathan feels about relationships, she knows there is no chance for them, right?
I absolutely loved reading Sophie by Kelsie Rae. It was so sweet. I loved Sophie and Nathan so much, even if I did want to hit him at times. But it was their journey to take. It was also so much fun catching up with all the previous characters. Though each book in the Signature Sweethearts series can be read as a standalone, the characters and their backstories are great reads as well!

Happy reading.
Sophie is the fifth book in Kelsie Rae’s Signature Sweethearts Series. The series goes in this order Liv, Luke, Breezy, Jude, Rhett, and Sophie. Each book, with the exception of Luke, can be read as a standalone. It needs to be read after Liv. I actually started with Jude and have slowly read each one except Breezy but that will be rectified very soon. I just saw on Kelsie’s website that the seventh book, Marcus, will be out in March of 2019! You missed it…I did a happy dance! So let me tell you about Sophie.
We first met the sweet, energetic, pixie named Sophie in the book Rhett. She is a recent college graduate who lives in New York with her best friend, Natalie, and works at a local bakery called Get Baked. Despite being warned repeatedly about the smooth-talking, man-whore, Sophie opens her heart and her bed to Nathan only to be left devastated. You see, no matter how much Nathan denies it, they have a connection. The problem is the “Weiner” ran off to California.
Nathan, on paper, has the perfect pedigree. The perfect penthouse with the perfect butler and personal assistant, however, his perfect family is actually a train wreck which has left him very jaded. He believes that people can make you happy for a short time but real love doesn’t exist. Nathan doesn’t do feelings thus his “RULE”. He only sleeps with women one time….no repeats. It has never been a problem so why does Sophie’s sassy smirk and hypnotic eyes call him like a siren? Why does Nathan feel like he’s made a mistake by taking the lucrative job in California?
Nathan and Sophie are determined to stay on opposite coasts, lick their wounds, and not see each over ever again. That’s going well until their best friends get engaged and plan the ultimate destination wedding in the Maldives. Can they play nice and survive the wedding? Will Nathan man up and admit that he’s crazy about Sophie? Well…you will have to buy it to find out.
Kelsie Rae writes books that warm my heart! I have to say that this is my favorite book in the Signature Sweethearts Series. I know that I’ve said this about several books but I was hooked and read it in one sitting. It’s a sickness that I have.
I wholeheartedly give Sophie by Kelsie Rae 5 out of 5 propellers!!
