“Da dum…da dum…da dum…”
“This wasn’t the plan I had dreamed of for myself, but life was an unpredictable bitch.”
Ker Dukey has done it again! Stalk Her is a dark suspense novella, with a touch of smut, that will have you questioning the incredible perverse nature of one man’s obsession, with a woman he doesn’t know, but must have and control. I am a huge fan of Ms. Dukey’s writing and have read and loved many of her books and this book was no exception.
Erik and his sister, Ebony, have not had an easy life, but Erik is now a successful businessman and seemingly has everything he desires until he sees Alice. Sweet, broken, lovely Alice. Stalk Her is their twisted, dark tale. I can’t explain why I liked Erik, but nevertheless, I really did. He is one crazy messed up hot man. Alice, a 19-year-old senior in high school, is dealing with a terminally ill mother and financial ruin. Erik feeds off the brokenness of Alice, and this excites him to complete distraction.
This story will take you on a dark, tangled, suspenseful ride that will have you looking over your shoulder and seeing things in the shadows that may or may not be there. So, I hope you give this intense, deliciously dark book a try.
Ker Dukey has given us a twisted and face paced novella with Stalk Her. Erik thrives on others fears and quickly desires to have Alice, but in a twisted fate, things are not always as they seem. I loved the surprise ending.
I loved this short, dark and twisted delight!!
It was also hot and of course a major twist I didn’t see coming!!
I had forgotten how the author can throw me for a loop!!
I loved it!!!
Dark and delicious!!
This was a short read, but it was filled with suspense and had one of those twists that you did not at all expect. It was pretty twisted, but not overly dark. I’m glad to see that there are more books coming from this series. I’m on the edge of my seat for more of these twisted tales.

Is it bad I want to be stalked by Erik Ross? The man is dark, mysterious, and pretty much mad. But my crazy behind can’t get enough. I loved how the story played out. I wasn’t looking for something lovey and dovey or something, which had hearts and roses. I wanted a story that brought a good amount of dark, some sizzling hot sex scenes, and a plot which gave you a damn double take. I got that and so much more. I wish I had more Erik… You definitely takes stalking to a whole nother level.
4.5 stalker stars!! Wow who ever thought I would crush on a stalker!!
This is is short book, a novella. It is about a stalker and his prey. Crazy thing is it’s also about so much more. This book did not read as a novella. It felt like a full book.
I can never get enough of the crazy shit Ker Dukey writes. It’s always perfectly written and twisted all types of ways!!
I don’t know which character I like more Alice or Erik. Though I will say I can’t wait to see more of Erik.
I feel like I was caught up in some crazy shit. Also, look at that cover?! Omg it is HOT!! I totally fell hard for this book. This is definitely worth the read!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
Wow. I have not read many books from Ker. This one grabbed my attention from the very beginning to the very end. Erik has a terrible childhood. That childhood makes him the person he is as an adult. Protective. His sister has a business where people can send in messages or emails and have someone respond to them. He finds someone through this program that gets his interest in more ways than one. Alice is a young girl getting ready to graduate from high school. Her life has not been easy at all. Erik wants to make things better for her. But is she more than what he expected? Just wow this storyline was amazing. Dark at times, off the charts intense and so well written. I absolutely love Alice and how she handles herself and things going on in her life. I absolutely love the chemistry between Alice and Erik. It was a very unique chemistry. Highly recommend this book. I hope Ker writes more.
What a great little delectable thriller! It may not be a full length read, but Ker delivers and there is nothing lacking in this dark delight. It’s twisted, it’s perverse, it’s freaking unhinged but it’s delish!! And that ending, it totally sneaks up on you!! A MUST READ!!
4 Cranky Stars
Erik Ross makes Joe Goldberg look like Mother Theresa. Seriously Erik’s stalking is like taking a trip into your own personal hell. He is the reason you suddenly think someone is watching you. He’s the guy lurking in a lone car at the end of your street. He’s just everywhere and has the funds to do it.
Erik has had a horrible upbringing. He fears the dark but also thrives on the thrill of his sister crying while shoved into a dark room night after night. He feeds off fear of making women fear him. It makes his blood rush in short it makes him horny. Ok not for his sister but you get my drift. When he locks onto Alice it becomes a game of cat and mouse until the cat catches his prey and he feasts on her fear. He treats her like dirt on his shoe. He degrades her like no other. You see to the outside world Erik is a dedicated business owner with a fiancée. Inside he is sick and sadistic the monster lurking under your bed.
Alice’s life is falling apart. Her disintegrating mother is dying from cancer and she’s stuck. She is still in high school having been held back, her step father is useless, and her step brother does what he can for her. Alice has big dreams of leaving this dreaded town even if it means using her body. She plays innocent wounded bird so well, yet her latest ploy might just be the end of her. Everything is crumbling about her and all her lies are about to slap her in the face.
This novella isn’t for the weak. If you are skeeved out easily just carry on. Ker Dukey will make you question yourself every time like why am I reading this? What woman wants to be debased like that? Alice is who. Alice is a Lolita. She will toss that kitty around to get what she wants while acting like the poor innocent victim. Erik is just as perverted. I mean hey everyone has their kinks but man he is sick. This is a quick little story, so it’s very fast paced and too the point. I really liked it so what does that say about me?
I was warned this book was really dark, but I love a good dark book. This book wasn’t just dark, it was Black! It just wasn’t my cup of tea, I guess you could say this book made me all kinds of uncomfortable! I love this author but not this particular book.
4 STARS
Stalk Her is a dark romance novella by Ker Dukey and it’s absolutely gripping. It may have been a quick read, but it was not lacking in any way. The author did an amazing job of setting the tone of the story within the Prologue. Our introduction to Erik shows us how his thoughts and how he processes them in his mind, which in turn leads to his depraved actions.
“I’m the monster of her creation, and the beast always turns on its master in the end.”
Alice Young, a nineteen year old who has found life rough the last couple of years is the lead female character in this story. She reaches out to Anonymous, an outreach center run by Erik’s younger sister. Alice’s vulnerability and need captures Erik’s attention. With his urges to prey and instill fear in those weaker than him, he finds himself obsessed with her.
I feel like I should dislike Erik because of his abnormal behaviour. Some may find it disturbing that I find his dark twisted mind a little titillating!
“You can’t fake something as pure as fear -it’s what makes it so beautiful to watch.”
Overall, this is a definite MUST read! Thank you to Ker Dukey for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Stalk Her by Ker Dukey will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!
Hello darkness my old friend I’ve come to delight in you again. I love it when Dukey writes one of dark erotic suspense stories. She has become one of my favorite dark writers. So when I saw this new release I had to buy it. It’s a quick shirt read, but it packs a punch. No skirting around the darkness she delves right in.
Stalk Her is a Dukey’s Dark Delight featuring dark suspense. While this was a standalone Dukey has promised more from these characters.
Story:
Her dark characters are perceptive of other characters noting weaknesses and fears. Her dark characters are calculated smart individuals.
He craves the weak broken souls who hide in fear. He thrives off of their fear while it manifests and grows within him.
A sick type of craving injected into his veins spreading like wildfire unable to be contained.
Overall:
Dukey spread sickness throughout this book. Not just one type of sickness was created, but multiple ones. Each one different from the other. He was aroused by fear and she was aroused by a way to escape.
A dark, delicious read that will leave you wanting more. I enjoyed this short story and am looking forward to more.
“Da dum…da dum…da dum”
“Can you hear me”
Deliciously dark and seriously messed up.
It’s an edge of your seat read with an ending that makes you think “wtf”
I NEED more like now !!!!!!!
5 STALK HER STARS!! This story took me on a crazy ride that was dark and twisted. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to the last word. Erik and Alice has a creepy story to tell you and you will love it. I Will be 1-Clicking this author on every book, she holds you captive with her words. Looking for a quick dark read, here you go.
STALK HER by Ker Dukey is the story of Alice Young and Erik Ross.
Alice is young around 19 year old, who has a harsh growing up and in addition is picked on. Leaving her in my mind alone and lost but not with out some darkness. Erik too didn’t have a easy life, but now he has money and is embracing the dark side. Erik starts to watch Alice which brings his desire for her closer each day. If you are a fan of Dark Romance then this is for you…Ms. Dukey is my go to dark romance author…Loved this story.
Let me tell you what…. Ker omg! I was very upset that I had to put it down before finishing it, after all a girl gotta sleep right?
You knew this was from the mind of Ker, as soon as you read the first chapter. Some truly messed up characters Erik and Alice pretending to be normal. Okay, so no Erik was far from playing. I was so into his crazy though. Alice though, yeah all I’m saying about that little gem. Character personality and build up brilliant.
It’s not quite the dark you know, but the intensity of the game more than makes up for it. Checkmate. EnjoyKer Dukey
Stalk Her is a novella by Ker Dukey and is part of her Dukey’s Dark Delights collection. While this book is short in length, it did read like a full-length novel to me. Twenty-seven-year-old Erik Ross and his sister, Ebony, survived their abusive mother, but in very different ways. When he comes across nineteen-year-old Alice Young, her reaching out for help has her coming to the attention of a predator–and that predator is none other than Erik himself. Alice is prey that’s ripe for the picking, but stalking her may not prepare Erik for just how damaged she is.
This book is only my second Ker Dukey read, but she’s quickly become an author whose work I look forward to reading more of. For such a short book, there’s quite a bit that goes on, and Dukey’s story and character developments aren’t anything to sneeze at either. If you’re looking for hearts and flowers and “le sigh” moments, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. However, if you’re curious about what lies between the covers of this book, I can honestly tell you that it’ll be worth the read, just keep your HEA expectations in check. Four stars for Stalk Her.
From the Queen of Darkness herself comes a riveting new tale of lust, greed, and obsession. The ultimate game of cat and mouse where the predator gains the utmost pleasure and the prey will never be the same again, always in constant fear of what’s hiding in the shadows. Stalk Her was absolutely a dark delight, I didn’t want to put this book down for anything and ended up finishing in the same day.
On the outside Erik Ross seems to have it all. He’s rich with a thriving business, has a beautiful home with nice cars, and always dresses sharp to accentuate his physique and good looks. No one would suspect the monster within, born from a horrific past and has only manifested in the worse ways. So far Erik has thrived off the rush of stalking and causing fear in others, until the day an email comes to his sister’s business, Anonymous, which caters to people in need of help and guidance from difficult situations, that catches Erik’s attention and brings about his new sole purpose to focus his energy on.
I enjoyed all the suspense and sin that surrounded Erik and Alice because both are so broken and have certain desired tastes that no one else can fulfill. Alice is desperate to escape her situation of a dying mother and having no money for college, taking to using her body to seduce men although always claiming her innocence. Erik swoops in like some fallen angel and for a while there was hope blossoming for both characters. I was honestly shocked with how Stalk Her ended, Ker Dukey had me so invested in the story I never saw what was coming. This was the perfect, quick read to get the blood flowing and I’m so excited that more is to come.
Ker Dukey strikes again!
I definitely say 5 stars but if I could give it 100 then I definitely would. Be prepared to have the creepy crawlies and those eyes you feel on the back of your neck may just be real! Ker Dukey is one of my favorite dark authors and she just took it to the top with this book. I mean who doesn’t want a sexy stalker, lol, as long as he doesn’t hurt you anyhow. Alice is about to go on a true life rollercoaster ride and you don’t want to miss it.
