“I always feel like somebody’s watching me.”
You ever been outside, just minding your own business, and out of nowhere you get that hair-raising feeling? You feel like you’re being watched. But when you look around, there’s no one there. Or is there?
Erik’s messed up childhood drives him. He feeds off of your fear. He thrives on your confusion. He’s always there, whenever you don’t even need him. Don’t worry cuz Erik’s got your back.
This story was twisted and eerie and thrilling and sexy and I couldn’t get enough. I was constantly wondering what would happen next and the author kept me guessing right to the end. This is just a taste of the darkness and it’s definitely whet my appetite.
Unpredictable!

Character development:
The Hero(s):Erik – abused as a child by his mother and the men she brought into the house, Erik used his sister’s fear to lessen his own. Now he lives off creating fear in women, by following them, stalking them and more. He founded a company with his college roommate and became rich, he has a fiancé in order to appear normal.
The heroine: Alice – her mother is slowly dying and she just wants to get out and go away to college. Though they can’t afford it. She has been bullied in school because she was doing things with Reese, the most popular guy in school and his girlfriend didn’t like it. Though nobody knew that she was being bribed by him to get his father to give her a scholarship. Though Reese was playing her for a fool.
The Love Story: Alice emails a company called Anonymous when she is at a low point in her life and the company is owned by Erik’s sister Ebony. Erik is in Ebony’s office and intercepts the email, he then becomes obsessed with Alice.
I am not sure I like Alice in this one, she is a bit of a skank trying to get money for college. I don’t care if the heroine isn’t a virgin but I don’t like it when they are a prostitute. I can understand being in desperate financial straits, but for college you can always take out student loans like the rest of us. There is no need to resort to whorishness.
Though I loved Erik. There is something to be said about crazy guys that own their craziness. When they think, say or do things that are so out there, but in the most matter-of-fact way like it is something anyone would do, it is just hilarious to me. Erik was really good at justifying his crazy stalkishness as normal behavior.
I want to talk about that ending because it was spectacular and I never in a million years would have expected what happened. Though I won’t give away spoilers, but I am giving this one a 5 for how much it surprised me.
“Ever get that feeling you’re being watched? You probably are.”
STALK HER by Ker Dukey, a novella in the dark delights series is intense, addicting, and utterly twisted, in the most delightful way. Author Ker Dukey delivers everything you want in a taboo novella. It’s quick, it’s dirty, and messed up beyond reason, and I loved every minute.
From the opening scenes, we’re introduced just how perversely abnormal Erik’s character is, and how his childhood left deep, irreparable scars in his psyche. Although quite damaged, he’s also compelling, alluring, and terrifyingly seductive. Always skulking in the shadows, the hunter seeks his prey. Alice wants nothing more than to leave her life behind. The whispers, the stares, the judgement, all fuel her need to disappear, and she’s willing to do anything it takes to make it possible. No matter how severe the fallout. Erik sets his sites on Alice, but nothing is ever as it seems….
Take a deep breath and dive in, because you won’t be coming up for air. If playing in the dark is your thing, babe you have arrived. Enjoy this tantalizing bite of a book today. xo
I always love me a dark, and twists book. Who doesn’t love a hot stalker that’s like a coming of age Michael Myers (Halloween).
Erik has a messed up childhood, and we get to see what brought him to be how he is now. He likes the chase..a game of cat and mouse. But it wasn’t till Alice that he wanted to take the game to a new level
Alice went from being the popular girl to the school/town whore. Her mother got sick and everything started to change for her. Now she’s lonely and wanting a way out of the town.
When then two meet its hot and oh so twisted. Erik starts to learn more about Alice and what he finds out doesn’t leave him happy at all.
If you want a dark, twisted that will have you hooked then I definitely recommend you pick this up and give it a chance.
Wow, wow, wow….
One of my favorite books this year. I love a great dark suspense and this one is totally fabulous. Every single page is stuck in my mind and I would love to read a second book where I would see Asher, Ebony, Erik and Annemarie.
Ker Dukey knows how to write a perfect dark soul and Erik is full of that. I loved every dark side of him. I wouldn’t change a thing in Erik.
Alice definitely played me and Erik since the beginning. She surprised me a lot in this book, but I never thought she would make a decision that would have a huge impact in the end of the book.
Amazing book. I want more… I would pee in my panties if I had a STALKER like Erik.
This book deserves more than 5 stars….
ive wanted to read this book for awhile, i’m so glad i found the time. this story gives a whole new meaning to stalking. when you think you have worked out the plot, it twists and keeps turning at odd angles. it keeps you engrossed throughout. i loved it and cant wait to read more from this author.
Oh. Oh man. What did I just read? I sat my butt down 2 hours ago and read this start to finish. Danggg that was a fantastic read! Why am I in love with Asher? What is wrong with me? Why do I want him stalking me? Down girl! That ending SHOCKED ME. GIVE ME MORE DARK DELIGHTS PLEASE! I AM NOT DONE WITH YOU!
What a dark, twisted read! This was quite a heart pounding read with an anti-hero that will have you looking over your shoulder. While this flirts with a bit of romance in a strange and twisted way (the Ker Dukey way) this is heavy on psychological suspense.
’You can’t fake something as pure as fear – it’s what makes it so beautiful to watch. Can you feel me?’
These are not characters you fall in love with, but they will hold you spell bound nevertheless. The first 65% of the story is the lead up to their first official meet. But holy heck, everything that goes on before that will make your heart pound and your mouth run dry. Double that reaction for the remainder of the book.
I haven’t read a lot of this author’s work, but what I have read has always left me feeling. This is certainly no different.

Dark and original
This was a deliciously dark tale. I always enjoy the dark journey that Dukey takes me on in her books. This had some incredible twists and turns, and that ending…Wow! I am very much looking forward to reading more Asher.
I really loved this book. Are you going to make a series with him? Or at least a couple more books?
OMG! I was so excited when I first heard about this book…. dark romance about a stalker? Yes please!!
This was just as good as I hoped too, although it had a twist or two I wasnt quite expecting, although that shouldn’t come as a big surprise if you’ve read other books by Ker Dukey! It was so dark and twisted, with some deliciously devious surprises! And that ending….OMG! Classic!!
My very first from this author and she got me hooked!
Stalk Her is a great mind-fcuk read that dances around the boundary of insanity.
If you aren’t into dark reads, then this book will creep you out. But I love reading dark stories and this one satisfies the deviant in me.
I liked how this story ended as well. And I’m actually happy that it ended that way.
I’ll read more from this author, for sure.
Da dum…da dum…da dum…
STALK HER is a quick read but packs a heavy punch. There is a lot going on.
It’s something like a braid, you divide your hear in parts and in the end, when you’ve finished braiding, it all slots nicely together.
Is Erik a twisted creepy bastard? He probably is, but I can’t, for the love of me, have any ill feelings toward him.
I loved reading this, but the ending? That was mind blowing!!
Looking forward reading Asher’s story soon!
I’ve read many stories about stalkers but they weren’t written by Dukey so they were no they were nothing like STALK HER!!! As is typical of this dark Queen, nothing is predictable or what it seems in this suspenseful, sexy as hell story! Although not as long as her typical books at 143 pages, the characters and plot development are just as detailed and awe-inspiring as ever. I was sucked into the story from page 1 and devoured every word!!! I want more Erik and Alice!!!!
This book was a great quick dark read.
I read it in one evening. It was good, intense.
I was waiting on Erik’s next move and couldn’t help feel sorry for Alice. Once Erik has set his stalker mode on, he can’t turn around. He needs her.
« You can’t fake something as pure as fear – it’s what makes it so beautiful to watch »
It was well writing. The characters were intriguing and I am so looking forward to read more about Asher.
I was a bit disappointed by the fast past of the book. I would have loved getting more of the stalking part, and more « dark » scenes too.
What a mind fuck! Even though Erik is a creeper I loved him. At his core he is a protector with a lot of dark sexiness. With his messed up upbringing he has a few issues and dark needs. His latest target is the seemingly broken, beautiful Alice. She’s a young girl with a tragic home life that Erik wants to save her from. As he makes his moves on Alice she is receptive to his advances and just wants some relief from her burdens. But what’s the real story behind her problems? And whose playing who? What a twist that I didn’t see coming. Awesome surprise! But Erik always comes out on top. He’s badass in his treachery. I want more of him! So twisted, dark and delicious. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Holy mother of all things holy I did not see that coming at all. I don’t want to say too much because you just have to read it…but wow, I’m kinda speechless. If you are looking for a quick, dark read with an ending that leaves you wondering what just happened, then look no further, you found it.
To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin. But doesn’t that make a good book? I don’t know sometimes, but in this case, maybe? I gave this book five stars because of the ending, and because of Alice. Ker wrote a chick that is as messed up as the hero, but you don’t know until it is too late. I loved that, that is what made me give this the high stars. I love surprises… Alice is a great character, and she melds well with how messed up, and dark Eric is.
What a great story!
