A mom who’ll never give up fighting for her special needs daughter…A “nice guy” who finally learns to take a stand…Larissa and Mateo’s worlds collide in Stage Mom! Everything about Larissa Emerson is strong. Her personality. Her snark. Her aversion to men after one too many disappointments. Her unwavering fight to ensure her special needs daughter is treated like any other girl–a fight that … treated like any other girl–a fight that ramps up when she begs to compete in a beauty pageant.
Mateo Flores is in his first year of heading up the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant, and he’s not about to screw it up. He knew he’d be dealing with stereotypical pageant moms, but he never saw this one coming. She hits him like a hurricane, all strength and beauty and attitude.
How can he say no to a force of nature like Larissa Emerson?

Stage Mom (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6)
By K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the story Stage Mom (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6) by K.L. Montgomery. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Larissa Emerson and Mateo Flores. Larissa is a strong, independent woman. She has a special needs daughter who she loves and will always fight that she is treated like any other girl. This includes when her daughter wants to be in a beauty pageant. Mateo is heading up the Little Miss Rehoboth Pageant. He wants to make sure that he doesn’t screw it up. He also finds himself deeply attracted to Larissa. After what has happened in the past Larissa doesn’t feel that she needs to find another man. Then she meets Mateo. These two have an attraction to each other. Will Larissa give Mateo a chance at her heart? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. I loved how Larissa’s character is not afraid to say what she means. I grew to care about what happened to Larissa and Mateo with each chapter that I read. The story also had my emotions going up and down while reading. There are moments when I would laugh and others that touched my heart. This is a book that I would highly recommend reading.
KL Montgomery is one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints with her work. This book was no different.
This is a story of a single mom of a special needs child and a pageant director. He is new in his role but, sometimes there is no excuse. This was another 5 star read and you definitely do not want to miss this book. Grab your copy today!
This one might have been my favorite on in this series. I absolutely loves Larissa and her daughter Hailey who has Downs Syndrome. You couldn’t help but fall madly for the little girl. Mateo is now the head of the Rehoboth beauty pageant but he has a problem with confrontation and he avoids it all costs. Larissa is all about wanting her daughter to be treated like the rest and Mateo has big shoes to fill as well as make changes that some might not like. Their chemistry sizzled throughout the book as well as their banter and you couldn’t help but sigh with happiness at their HEA ending
This book is unquestionably for the single mom who fights for her child! Stage Mom is book 6 in the Romance in Rehoboth Series by K.L. Montgomery. This book can be read as a standalone but, it’s always best to read the entire series in order first. Larissa Emerson just wants her daughter to be treated like every other child. Her daughter is special needs and is entering a pageant. Mateo is in his first year of heading up said pageant. He was prepared for the “pageant moms,” but he wasn’t prepared for Larissa. There was an instant attraction on both parts. However, Larissa isn’t too keen on men at the moment due to her past with them. But there is an undeniable attraction. So does she act on them? How does Mateo break down those barriers to get to her? This is definitely a feel good book with a Happy Ever After ending! A must read!
This book follows Lariss and Mateo. Mateo is a new hire and immediately has ideas on how to make things better, but not everyone is on board with that. How will Larissa handle the changes?
Okay so this is my favourite installment to this series, it is such a touching story which really makes you open your eyes to how cruel people and life can be. Larissa is a single mum to her special needs daughter who is everything to her she is her life, she will fight anyone to defend her daughter all she wants is for people to treat her daughter equally but as you know not everyone is open minded and kind. This story touched my heart more so due to the fact my step sister is autistic plus my oldest daughter has problems too and i know how cruel people can be and not understanding so i really feel like i could relate to it. Brilliant definitely worth reading!
Beauty competitions and all the glitter and glam that goes with it isn’t always as it seems, especially when there are little girls involved, and especially when there is her special needs to be considered. But that won’t stop her mum from insisting her daughter join the competition, despite what the new director thinks. Such witty characters turn up the heat as they tangle over one special girls dreams. The plot is incredibly well written and the setting is picture perfect! Highly recommend this book and the 5 that came before it!
Stage Mom by K.L Montgomery was a super emotional read. I related hard core to Larissa, I have a son and would do anything to make his dreams come true. I felt like Larissa’s strength was super awesome to read about. I enjoy how K.L Montgomery makes her females super relatable and full sized. I would love to live in her worlds!
Stage Mom: A Single Mom Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6)
The final book in this series is Stage Mom. Hailey had me wrapped around her finger from the moment we met her. What an amazing little girl and her mom Larissa is soley responsible for that.
Mateo has great ideas on how to bring the pageant into the current century and making it his after his grandmother retired.
There are so many things I loved about this particular story, but they could be considered spoilers and I wouldn’t want to ruin anything for anyone. Though I will say I wasn’t very fond of Mateo’s sister.
You will need to read it and the rest of the series to really appreciate how talented Ms. Montgomery is for yourself to find out.
Stage Mom: A Single Mom Romantic Comedy is the sixth book the in Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. I absolutely loved this romantic comedy about a single mom and a nice guy. Larissa Emerson is a single mother to a special needs daughter. Larissa is such a strong woman who fights for her daughter to be part of a beauty pageant, this is where she meets Mateo. It is the first year that Mateo is head of the beauty pageant, but he was not prepared for Larissa. How can he say no to such a strong willed, beautiful woman. This story was wonderfully written, with such a well thought out story line and heartwarming content.
Stage Mom by K.L. Montgomery is book six of the Romance in Rehoboth series. This book is a single mom romance and is the story of Larissa and Mateo.
Larissa is strong and independent. She doesn’t let anything get in her way especially when it comes to her daughter. Mateo is heading up the pageant for the first year. He doesn’t want to get anything wrong. He thought he knew what to expect when it came to the pageant and especially the pageant moms, but he was not expecting Larissa. Larissa has given up on men after all that she’s dealt with in the past. Even though Mateo finds himself incapable of saying no to Larissa, will she be able to say no to him?
I couldn’t put this book down just like the other books in this series. These books are so good!!
Stage Mom is the sixth and currently the last book in K.L. Montgomery’s Romance in Rehoboth universe and in some ways I think this book has been my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, all the books showcase strong and independent women and men that are truly decent but somehow there was something about Stage Mom that touched something in me. I think it was the absolute love that Larissa Emerson has for her special needs daughter, the way how she fights to ensure that the would be treated like any other girl and demanding the world the give her the same opportunities! When she takes on the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant, she meets Mateo Flores who is heading it for the very first time and he will not mess it up, no sir, no way …but … then he meets Larissa and everything he has ever thought or believed is out of the door and we are taken on a ride that we will remember for a while!

Book 6—-Stage Mom
This is a different kind of story. Just the same, a good story full of good feelings and lots of love.
Mrs. Montgomery is a good author; all her books are well written and enjoyable.
I highly recommend her.
This latest book in the Rehoboth series from Montgomery is simply a gem. I don’t have the words to truly explain what I loved without giving away the story. But please know the summary sets the tone. If you love a well written romcom- this book, series, and author are must reads!
Stage Mom is the 6th and final (unless the author decides to go back and add to this series) book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery.
Although this is a series of romantic comedies, this book is probably the one that hit me in the feels the most. Larissa Emerson is the mom of the most amazing little girl with special needs who just wants to be treated like any other little girl. Hailey’s one wish is to take part in the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant and this is the story o her mum’s fight for her to take part and to be treated the same as the other little girls.
Enter Mateo Flores who this year is taking over the pageant from his grandmother for the first time. Mateo can’t help but be captivated by little Hailey (she is adorable) and her mother Larissa.
This is a fantastic story of the struggle to see beyond the norms and become a much more inclusive society.
Read Stage Mom as part of the Romance of Rehoboth Box Set. Larissa Emerson is a single mom with a daughter looking to meets a nice guy. Will Mateo Flores be that guy?
K.L. Montgomery’s always will have you giggling over the sweet romance and all the fun these characters have. Plus you are always guaranteed a Happily-Ever-After.
I give Stage Mom: A Single Mom Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6) by KL Montgomery, 5 stars.
Another hit in the series. This book centers around a little girl beauty pageant. Again, this is completely different from anything else in the series. The attraction between Mateo, whose family has run the pageant for many, many years, and Larissa, a mother of a girl who wants to enter, is evident and palpable. While the struggles they have trying to make their relationship work is the backbone of this book and quite interesting, what really sets this book apart is the diversity. (I am being vague for a reason.i do not want to give anything away.) This book (as well as most of the series) is set in Rehoboth, Delaware, a place known for their diversity and freedom of being who you want. This book does an excellent job of showing this and doing it with class and at the same time making it fun and not preachy. It is quite evident the author has done a lot of research to make it as real as she can. She does a wonderful job and I hope she continues to push the boundaries and give us another fun and different story. Oh and the fact that Larissa was a teenager of the nineties — I can totally relate. Some of her thoughts and comments brought be back and made me laugh. To the author– please continue to bring us fun, entertaining books like this one. You are a master at it.
Stage Mom Book 6 – A mom who want her disabled daughter to be included and treated fairly in a beauty pageant. Mateo has been entrusted with the pageant this year solo will he be able to cope and when he befriends a woman who is a fire cracker will he be able to keep his emotions in tact as the chemistry between the two of them is explosive.
I love this author, KL Montgomery writes characters with flaws but this I thinks just makes you love them a little bit more than others. The stories are well written and engage you from the beginning, the way they are written you believe these powerful woman could be friends and you are invested in them to find happiness.
I would recommend this to anyone as these are individual stories but please take a look at all the books from this wonderful series and author she will not disappoint.
Wow I knew I was going to enjoy this story but I absolutely loved it! Larissa and Mateo Will stay with me well after I finished this story. Larissa is my absolute favorite character recently she’s so full of sass and strength she reminds me of quite a few women in my life. And she’d do anything for her daughter and that definitely pulled at my heart. The relationship between her and Mateo had me laughing more than once. Each character brings something different to the story and I loved each one for various reasons. The storyline is well thought out and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended! Each of these stories can definitely be read as stand-alone but you’ll definitely want them all!
