Stage Kiss is a sweet coming of age romance story for anyone from preteen to early high school. Having said that, I’ll review it as such. The characters are relatable and fun. They act exactly like you would expect kids that age to act. The story is well written with a bit of tragedy involving alcohol. I wouldn’t hesitate to let my daughter read this.
This is a cute YA story. The story flowed along nicely. The characters were perfect for high schoolers. The ending remind me of pretty in pink…a bit. Also an 80’s movie. This shows the love of family and how friends can stay friends forever.
I listened to this on audio. Stephanie Quinn did a good job narrating.
A beautiful well written teen romance story. This entertaining was told from a teenage girl point of view. It included hope, humor, friendship, family, dreams, competition, heartache, love, and a few unexpected twists making for an enjoyable storyline. The characters were loveable, interesting, and had an incredible supporting cast in this smooth flowing romance. I voluntarily listened and reviewed this wonderfully narrated clean teen romance.
I thoroughly , this book!! For me it was like living inside one of my 80’s teen film favourites Not as angsty as the ‘Breakfast Club’ of as full of drama as ‘Pretty In Pink’ it was a bit of cross-breed of ‘Some Kind Of Wonderful’ & the more modern romcom ‘Never Been Kissed’!!
Full of feels, unrequited teenage love & some betrayal with added family pressure-illness-major sister angst thrown in. This book gave me it all I loved Erin’s inner monologues/snarkfests Peter was perfect
I highly recommend this fun, relaxed, coming of age tale. I’m 48 years old and loved it

“If I had known on September 5th, 1990 that a Care Bears backpack would determine who my friends were for the next 12 years, I could have opted to pick my own bag instead of begging for my sister’s hand me downs. Then maybe I wouldn’t be a friendless, boyfriend less loser today.”
Thus begins Stage Kiss.
I really enjoyed this author’s style of writing and I’m grateful to author Judy Corry for suggesting this book in a recent newsletter.
Written entirely from Erin’s point of view, this coming of age story was humorous and touching. Having not been pressured by my parents to be anything I didn’t want to be, I can’t relate to Erin’s need to be Homecoming Queen. However, without that, the need for her recruiting Peter’s help would have been gone and the entire premise of the story would have fallen apart. So yay for family expectations!
I was a little disappointed that the whole freshman year thing with Peter was never explained. It was a big enough deal in the book, that somewhere there should have been a conversation about why things turned out the way they did. It seemed like a significant omission. But don’t let this stop you from reading and enjoying this story because the rest of it was great
