I have been in love with Silver since book one so I was more then ready to dive into this new journey with her. We get a whole new school, new challenges, and new intrigue on top of all of the things we have grown to love this whole time (think their annual “war” games ;). At the same time the characters are all still growing as well as the evil plot still going on behind them trying to stop them from fulfilling the prophecy. So many new twists and turns that I have no clue what will happen next but I will be waiting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book so I can find out. A fantabulous addition to this incredible series!! I totally love it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Avery Song, again you got me crying, and laughing and so completely in love with your characters. I definitely fall more and more in love with these characters as this series goes on. I have to admit I was eagerly awaiting this book after that cliffhanger ending on the last one. I’m so excited for more hilarious moments with the schools administrators, and I look forward to more extremely steamy scenes, including another penis wars hahaha. Like I said year five was just as packed full of adventure, drama, hilarity and sadness as all the other books have been. I love this series and highly recommend it to any supernatural RH fans.
SSS: Year 5 is the continuation of Avery Song’s Supernatural Spy Academy series. Silver and her harem of men have learned the truth about what they are at graduation and now the future can unfold for them one of two ways – either then move forward to this new branch of the academy or they can choose to walk away, but at a cost. Obviously, they choose the path that will keep them together, but the path ahead will still see them each be challenged. Either they will grow and get stronger, or their futures will take a dark turn that will see them fall. Get ready for some revelations, some “new faces” and of course, some seriously sexy steamy fun times.
SSS Year 5 sets a lot of groundwork in the first half of the story. Basically, you’ll see the characters sorting themselves out, making decisions of what they want to do, and learning some secrets that have been kept hidden from them for so long. It’s really intriguing, and while the characters do experience quite a bit of sexy time together the author leaves the actual scenes themselves for later on in the book. So don’t worry, you just have to get about halfway through to get to that. LOL! I like some of the revelations and developments in this book. It keeps things engaging and kept me page-turning to learn what was going to happen next. This book literally becomes a rollercoaster with quite a few things so when things get intense…buckle up because you’re not going to be putting this book down. Now! There are some seriously hilarious moments in this book, but when I read “gummy of a python” I LOST it. I literally screamed with laughter because that came out of nowhere! LOL! I think Uzziah has become my new favorite character. He brings a lot of humor to the book and I like that he also challenges the other guys. They need that. Like seriously.
Now, I have showered this book with praise, but I’m sure you’re wondering…well, why the four-star review? Well, there are some minor editorial errors that apparently were dogmatic enough to make it through to the final cut. Small spelling errors scattered here and there throughout the book that a good editor would catch with a careful perusal. They don’t distract to the point of where you’re like “oh man that’s just butchered” but they are noticeable because some do interrupt the flow as you stop to pause and reread to make sure you read that right. Then there is a part that doesn’t make sense…to me. Silver is complaining about something that then doesn’t make sense. Things have changed, schedules are crazy so sex is hard to get, right? Well, the author says that the guys grab her in the shower, have sex, then leave. But then a few sentences later says that Silver felt she was going to become an “angry wench because she’d gone so long without sex”? They never had sex ALL the time so it feels like this is a stretch. Plus, this book is not even halfway about year 5. There is a huge time skip and since this is an academy book AND starting with a new academy at that I’d like to actually get some of what the characters are experiencing with their classes and being separated. It left me feeling disappointed.
For these reasons, I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. There was a lot of potential with this book, but it just falls short for me. I’m liking the relationships and how things are coming together, but since this is an ACADEMY book I need to have some focus actually be on the academy and the things that they learn and experience with their peers and instructors.

SSS: Year Five (Supernatural Spy School #5)
Silver & her team discover they’ll need to attend Sky Academy for a further 4 years for their true spy training. If they don’t their minds will be wiped & they won’t remember one another! Silver, Demitri & Wolfgang also have the shock of discovering their ‘dead’ parents are very much alive now but as God’s! They’re all Demigods in their own rights, so is Silver is sister, they need a chat obviously.
Silver speaks to her four boyfriends & tells them she’d like to start dating Uzziah, they agree but are jealous, but he’s on their team & has saved them countless times so they don’t object really. They foil a few attacks that nearly leads to massive loss of life, even at the new Academy where they’re meant to be much safer. Yet another member is added to their team of six, so they’re now seven. Cayden, he’s a incubus that has had past contact with Silver & her team. This is hopefully the team that will stay together for the rest of their time at the Academy & beyond!
This was much better than Term #4 thankfully. I would’ve liked to have experienced their lessons like we did in the earlier books, it’s part of what them special. We didn’t get to see any of it though. Cayden was great addition. I’m not a huge fan Uzziah/Isaiah yet. I’m hopeful now they’ve bonded he’ll be less of a d*ck! Lol The ending was lovely!
