This book is RATED-R FOR LANGUAGE by the publisher.Bush pilot Tom Stokes is about to face the worst day of his life. On a clear winter morning, he sets out to do some repairs on a remote hunt camp, leaving his five-year-old son and very pregnant wife snug in their beds.On the return trip, a squall forces him into an emergency landing and he winds up—quite literally—in the lap of petty criminal … the lap of petty criminal Dale Knight. Dale, now a fugitive from the law—and worse, from a merciless drug lord who just happens to be his brother—draws Tom into a web of mayhem and treachery that puts not only his life at risk, but the lives of his wife, son . . . and unborn child.
SQUALL is a fast-paced, darkly-comic tale of murder and gang-style retribution that grabs the reader on page one and just doesn’t let go.

Very fun book to read, at times i could not put it down. The characters were very believable and the book brings you in like you are almost there with them. Good closure at the end, all in all very fun and satisfying.
This was a great read. Action packed from the very beginning. The characters mix well together.
Worrisome
Bad language overtones!!! Didn’t read the whole book.
Its a great read, not a long book. Once you start reading its hard to put down. I enjo;y;ed it. Going to check out the authors other books.
I enjoyed the action and fast pace of this book, but the bad language was a turn off for me. I have no objection to occasional swear words but to use the “F” word in every other sentence seems unnecessary. I always wonder if writers are trying to pad their books or if they think readers really talk like that.
It was an easy read and I found the plot interesting. Good character development.
I read this book in one rainy afternoon. It was a good way to spend a dreary day curled up in my recliner enjoying an adventure.
I really enjoyed this book. The author really knows how to create a real ‘page-turner’. I burned through this book and liked it so much that I purchased a couple other books by Sean Costello! What a great writer! He not only creates relatable characters but very intense plots. Of the three books of his I’ve read so far, I don’t think it’s taken me more than two days to rip through them – they’ve really kept me engrossed throughout!
scum.and.dirty.
Loved it. Was sad when it ended.
Enjoyed the story, was a little far fetch but I like stories with twist and turns.
Too much profanity.
I finished it. It certainly was a highly improbable series of events and a couple of unlikely conversions. Light easy reading, straightforward. Some character development.
Great book. Lots of action. Easy read
Couldn’t get into it.
This is the story of an entrepreneurial pilot who leaves his pregnant wife to check on some remotely located rental property just as a fierce snowstorm approaches interfering with his plans to return home in time to attend his son’s birthday party… and it all goes wrong, wrong, wrong. Throw in some drug dealing bad guys, a maniacal gangster girlfriend, two sets of dysfunctional retaliating brothers, and you end up with a Lifetime movie plot of a story culminating in a contrived ending. An easy, mindless, predictable read that is adequate if you’re looking for some light reading while you’re traveling by train or bus (probably want to skip this story if you’re headed up in an airplane during inclement weather). All in all, a mostly happy ending for the good guys.
Short, fun read.
