Spying on the Billionaire by Rachel Hanna is a great addition to the January Cove series.
Small home town vs Big Corporation who wants to build a mall…who will win??
Daisy Davenport, a small-town girl who doesn’t like change and will fight till the end to keep a large corporation from building the mall and changing her town.
Tristan Spencer, billionaire, single father and a workaholic forgets summer break is starting, his nanny has up an quit and his daughter wants to go to the beach located in January Cove.
Daisy shows up in January Cove to convince Tristan to build the mall in another town but he thinks she is the new nanny… what happens next will keep you turning the pages to see where it all goes…
Life changes, trust issues, laughter and a heart warming romance!
This was a fun flirty story regarding a small town girl trying to prevent her town from changing. Daisy doesn’t want anything in her life to change. She’s clinging to the life she knew before her grandparents died. She will do anything to stop that mall from being built, even masquerade as a nanny.
Tristan has worked hard to improve his life & climb out of his former life. His hard work has made him a lot of money but really hasn’t made him any happier. He’s a divorced father of an eight year old girl, Elian’s, who is the light of his life. His nanny has run off & married her boyfriend. This is just what he needs. First, a group is trying to stop his newest project & now, he has to worry about his daughter. And he totally forgot that it’s the start of summer vacation!
I love returning to January Cove. These characters both have something to prove. They need to get out of their ruts & experience the others life in order to grow. Daisy learns to embrace some change & push her boundaries. Tristan has to learn to trust again & that money isn’t everything. Ms. Hanna has created two relatable characters & woven an entertaining sweet romance around them.
Tristan is all business while trying to figure out how to become a better dad to his daughter. Daisy is trying to save her town from becoming more than the small rural town it is. They become part of each others lives with Daisy posing as someone she really isnt to help her cause but neither one expected to fall in love and become a family.
I love reading clean romances where the story can be more about the characters and storyline than about the sex. I really enjoyed getting to know them and being a part of them learning how to love one another with a child already in the picture. Grab your copy today and enjoy this beautiful story.
I still live in the small rural community that I was born and raised in and the plot of big business moving in to build a mall/shopping center/big box store with the promise of strengthening the economy and creating jobs is all too real for me.
I truly enjoyed this story. I’ve read a lot of billionaire novels but this one was so different. I liked that it didn’t take Tristan long to remember what and who was important in life. Although he made references to how much money he had and how important he was, I don’t think his ego played a very big part of this story (which was a breathe of fresh air)!
I liked Daisy’s character and her willingness to put herself out there for something she believed in. I was interested (and maybe a bit intrigued) when she made the decision to stay in January Cove. But the ending….it made it all worthwhile!
This book is well written. The story flows well and the characters have depth. The happily-ever-after was pretty perfect!
