While I enjoyed the love story of Hyacinth and Rhys very much, I have to say that I was a little let down that it did not actually involve any time traveling for either of them. There were ties to some of the other characters in the series but this was not really a true part of that series. My opinion only, of course. This was more of a sweet romance than a romantic intrigue as most of the other books in the Linked Across Time series are. I love anything and everything that is written by Dawn Brower so this is still a wonderful addition to my library of her work!

I have read all the books in this series and really enjoyed them all, but this one didn’t have the time travel or intrigue the others had. Lady Hyacinth and Rhys, the Earl of Carrick, had known each other for years and always fought. They denied their feelings. Now she is trying to be noticed by a foreign prince, but she finds he is pretty dull except for the title. He has promised her a dance at an upcoming house party. They is a spy.for the crown and warns her the Prince is going to try to ruin her, but she doesn’t believe him. There is romance and intrigue, but the ending was great. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy from Booksprout.
Another wonderful story by the talented Ms. Brower! This is another great addition to the Linked Across Time series. Hyacinth has been interested in Rhys for a while but he doesn’t seem to want anything to do with her. That is until he realizes her efforts in trying to attract the Prince. Now his thoughts on the matter have changed. They are both constantly at odds with each other which result in some enjoyable tension. With the love/hate relationship between the two, you could really sense the sparks flying and feel the chemistry. Ms. Brower does an amazing job at bringing this era to life in her stories with her vivid descriptions and attention to detail. The plot was intriguing and really kept my interest throughout. There’s so much adventure and humor, this book was so much fun to read. I would definitely recommend you add this to your summer reading list!

Book thirteen in the Linked Across Time series another great story in this series. Rhys Rossington, the Earl of Carrick and Lady Hyacinth’s story an enemies to lovers story. That I know I will be reading again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sweetness
Dawn Brower is one of my most favorite authors and this is one of my favorite series. Although I was a bit disappointed that while Rhys and Hyacinth had a lot of the time travel element and special abilities around them, they had not experienced it themselves. Rhys and Hyacinth both had an adventurous side to them that made them perfect for one another. Rhys with his fledgling spy career and Hyacinths search for a lofty title. They just needed a little friction for them to admit what they really wanted and that was each other. My one gripe, I felt the Prince gave up a little too easily, not enough angst. I love the Linked Across Time series and hope it never ends.

This is a quick read and although there was no time travel the story still ties into the Linked Across Time series. Hyacinth has had a thing for Rhys for a while but he doesn’t seem to want anything to do with her. That is until he sees she’s decided to take a chance on the Prince. This is a cute, fun read and a great addition to the Linked Across Time series. The well written story with characters that have a love/hate relationship.
Rhys Rossington, the Earl of Carrick, works for the home office and he’s assigned to the prince while he’s visiting since he may be here for not so noble intentions. Having Rhys on the job will determine whether the prince’s royal visit is something evil in disguise.
Lady Hyacinth has decided to try to make the visiting prince fall for her since she is known to be the most eligible lady in England and the prince is from a very small country. But becoming a princess will be worth her efforts.
Rhys and Hyacinth have not gotten along with each other. She had wanted him in the past, but he showed no interest and in fact treated her badly. But as he sees her efforts to attract the prince, it stirs his own thoughts about the matter. But when he shows his newfound interest in her, she now doesn’t trust him. Can he change her mind? Does she still want him in her life?
The spy meets his match. Hyacinth has loved Rhys forever but he despises her. Always belittling her and berating her. When she has a chance to gain the attention of a visiting Prince, he sees to always be in the way. Warning her against the Prince. And then he changes. Telling her she’s beautiful and almost kissing her. But she can’t trust him. if she gives into him she will be ruined and she doesn’t believe he truly wants a life with her. I enjoyed this romance. With the mains seeming to be at odds with each other much of the time, it made for some enjoyable tension. There was no time traveling in this book though many of our previous travelers were mentioned. There is a steamy scene.

They’ve known each other forever, and there seems to have always been a spark, which both deny. But Hyacinth has found out there will be a Prince in attendance at a Ball she’s being made to attend, and has decided she will be a Princess! Rhys works for the government and is assigned to follow the Prince. But Hyacinth and Rhys seem to keep crossing paths, and with each encounter, some to realize that they don’t actually hate each other. When the Prince’s nefarious plans are discovered, will Rhys save the day? I found this to be a quick, witty and endearing story!
I thought that this was a cute quick read. The plot was fun, the chemistry generated plenty of sparks and the characters likable. A good blend of drama, intensity, emotion, action and danger make for an entertaining and engaging read. This is my frank, freely posted review.
This really good. The characters are awesome. I could not stop reading it. The era that Dawn Brower writes is really amazing and she really is updated. I definitely recommend this book.

This book was impressively good. It was another winner in this series. I need more than 5 stars, that’s for sure. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Enemies to Lovers 3.5*
As the man she has feelings for doesn’t even to seem to like her and they always argue whenever they are together, Lady Hyacinth sets her heart on obtaining an offer from a prince visiting the country. Seeing her pursuing the prince, Rhys has a change of heart about his future.
Short, quick read. The ending seemed rushed and I didn’t really connect with the characters (though that can often be a problem with short stories).
