I was nine years old when I met Everett Cartwright and claimed him as my best friend. I was sixteen years old when I gave him my virginity. Now, at twenty, the lines of our friendship have blurred as our relationship shifts into something different.Something deeper. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. I wasn’t supposed to fall for my best friend. He wasn’t supposed to fall for me. And when we … fall for me.
And when we finally confessed our feelings, he wasn’t supposed to have a girlfriend.
But falling in love with my best friend was easy.
It was what came after that almost destroyed us.
*Spring Semester can be read as a stand-alone and the third in the Campus Tales Series.

QB Does it again with Spring Semester. It’s the perfect amount of everything.
Leighton and Everett will be sure to take you on one hell of an emotional roller-coaster… so hold on!
Oh and don’t forget the steam …. <3
But it's angsty and you're going to ask your self how can they make it through this? Everett is a sweet heart stuck between one big rock and a very hard place. (no spoilers) He loves Leighton so much and yet, he knows he has to also do the right thing.
Also poor Leighton stuck in a middle and knowing she might have to give up a person she truly loves....
Be ready...
It's a perfect friends to lover romance
With QB, you expect taboo or an age gap romance. This time she knocks it out of the park with a friends-to-lovers romance. Is there anything she can’t do? I think not. I love how versatile she is as an author. This book is filled with great banter, heartfelt emotions, characters you can’t help but root for, and characters you want to strangle. Spring Semester was an unexpected roller coaster ride of emotions, and I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Oh My Wow!!
So, I’m really used to pretty large age gaps in QB’s main characters. So I wasn’t quite sure if I would experience the same super hotness level I am used to in her books or if this one would be a bit on the tamer side due to the main characters both being twenty.
However… Jear Desus was I ever pleasantly surprised!! So Everett and Leighton were White Hot off.the.charts! They were sizzling in the sheets, Y’all. I mean, legit! I’m talking, my butter just melted off my biscuit!! Ya get me?!?!
It seemed like Everett must have come outta the womb with a dominant hand. Like most little boys run around playing cops and robbers or cars and trucks. Yeah, pretty sure Everett was playing some variation of fifty shades when he was younger , because it just seemed as though he knew what he was doing from day one with Leigh!
They have this solid friendship that was unmatched though. Somewhere those friend/lover lines became blurred and the game of dating other people to get each other’s attention began which just lead down a big ol’ road of uh oh! That’s as close to a spoiler as your gonna get from me.
I don’t do spoilers!! #SpoilersSuck. So I will say, the “big thing” that happens though, Is really devastating. I loved Everett and Leighton so my heart was truly breaking right along with them. That’s how invested in these characters I was. I wanted so bad for them not to have to go through this, I was rooting for that HEA. They were so hot, and so hilariously fun loving. I just wanted to bask in the amazingness that was them together. Finally! I so didn’t want have to endure the ups and downs and emotional turmoil that we all had to go through. JK! It was fabulous and made this story amazeballs! I loved every single word,on every single page. I love to be on the edge of my seat. I live for those “wanna throw my reader across the room moments ” This author gives us all of these and more.Sunshine and flowers the whole book, blah!! That’s no fun! What is fun?!?! This book! I’m such a QB fan and I think this is my favorite Campus tales book so far. All of the characters in the Campus Tales series are fabulous, so it’s great to see them again, and I hope to see some of them in future books.
I can’t recommend this book enough. I love the page-turning angsty parts, as well as the explosively hot interaction between Everett and Leighton. This book deserves SO.MANY.STARS!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.
I love Everett and Leigh. They are the perfect example of what love can do to a person both the good and the bad. It shows what it means to fight for something that you want. This story is steamy but also has a lot of angst. It had me set on the edge of my seat waiting to read what would happen next. It is a great read and highly recommended
Spring Semester is a best friends to lovers romance that will take you on so many emotional twists and turns but still gives you that HEA that you crave in the end. Everett and Leighton have been friends for 11 years and while the sexual part of their relationship isn’t new they finally decide officially move things toward the next step. Then all hell breaks lose. If you’re looking for a sassy, passionate, and independent heroine who adores her sweet alpha this is the book for you! I highly recommend Spring Semester to anyone who loves romance!!
Is there anything QB can’t do.
In Spring Semester QB tackles the friends to lovers romance trope delivering the steam, romance and chemistry she is known for. However, in this tale of college romance, she adds a heaping scoop of angst. One of the best things about the entire Campus Tales series is QB doesn’t mess around. Every story starts at 110 miles an hour. She not so much pushes you into the deep end of the pool, as its more like tossing you out of an airplane without a parachute. By the end of chapter two, you will be breathless and canceling the rest of your evening’s plans to find out what comes next. Freaking amazing.
The journey toward love for Leighton and Everett stretches decades as these best friends must overcome some major obstacles along the way. No spoilers, but QB tortures the hell out of them, in a good way. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
Q.B. Tyler never disappoints! She will write stories that have you glued to the pages. My heart, my feelings – gah – she has them all over the place. I loved Everett and Leighton (even though my heart went out to her, I wanted to pop her a few times in the book and tell her to grow up and stick by your man). This was such a great best friends to lovers book. So glad they got their HEA (even though you put my heart through the wringer Q.B. Tyler).
4.5/5 Stars. 5/5 Steam!
QB Tyler is the author of the month for me, and I feel the more books I read from her – The more I fall in love with her writing. And this continued in the 3rd book of the Campus Tales – Focusing on Everett & Leighton.
The previous two book in this series were forbidden age gap romance, otherwise this one is a friends to lovers trope. After forbidden romance, friends to lovers is my second favourite trope so I knew I would love this book! Read within 24 hours!
Everett & Leigh have been friends since they were 9 years old. Fast forward to college and even though they have been sleeping together since they were teenagers, they still are yet to commit to each other fully. So when Everett finally gets a girlfriend, Leigh tries to stay away and let him experience a relationship outside of her, but she can’t seem to let go. They then begin an affair that ends with them choosing each other. This then opens the story into a revenge story involving Everett’s ex; Alli, and her hurt over Everett choosing Leigh over her.
There is plenty of drama to keep on reading, but you know overall that there will be a happy ever after with the love that Everett & Leigh share.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this addictive steamy series!
Steamy & Riveting Friends to lovers!
WOW! Right off the bat, Q.B. Tyler roped me in with it being friends to lovers! I always have a weak spot for couples that started out as friends first and then at some point could no longer deny the attraction they felt for each other…whether that attraction had been simmering underneath the surface for years or a single moment changes how they see each other. But the connection between these two and the lengths they will go to to be together in any way possible.
When Everett & Leighton finally admit their true feelings for each other; he takes steps so that he can put her first from that point on. Yet, sometimes life has a way of laughing in your face just when you think you’re world is looking brighter. What comes afterwards was such an emotional rollercoaster!
Leighton is one hell of a fighter; feisty & sweet! All she wants to do is hold onto the one person that means the most to her in the world.
Everett wants one person yet he belongs to another. His relationship with his best friend is so unique; I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever read a friends to lovers with their dynamic and nothing comes to mind. There were a couple moments that I simply wanted to knock Everett upside his head; just to knock some sense into him. Some events withing these pages might make you a bit stabby but man they will make you want to keep reading too. Just needing to know what was going to happen next!
The devious & deceptive twists were something that I kind of expected as I was reading but I still managed to come out surprised as I neared the end. In the end, I have to say that I love how good and real Leighton was!
No matter where.No matter what.
I say this everytime and QB keeps outdoing herself
So I will probably keep saying this over and over. But Everett is my favorite of QB’s men! He’s so swoony and Leighton well I think she May be one of the strongest.
This book is going to have you swooning, screaming “that B!” and reaching for the buzzing friend! Holy moly the mouth on Everett
It’ll rip your heart out in the best way
Everett and Leighton are destined for each other, but what happens when destiny tries to destroy them. Not my typical read, but I love it. It’s a well written story of fighting for love. It’s also full of hot sex and dirty talk which I love. I honestly could not put it down. It took me an hour and a half to read and I loved it so much. Q.B did such an amazing job.
I could NOT put this book down. I was captivated from the synopsis and knew that I had to read this book. My emotions were all over the place and my heart felt like it couldn’t take any more shattering. The characters were so damn lovable and I was rooting for Everett and Leighton since page 1 and I knew that regardless of who or what got in their way, they were bound to find a way to find their HEA.
This friends-to-lovers book has been by far one of the best I’ve read!
Q.B. Tyler really has surpassed my expectations with her writing. She’s a new-to-me author and I’m soooooo happy that I stumbled upon her because now I know that with her angsty AF books I know for a fact that she’s going to be on my list of authors to always read.
